I’m not a RPer, but I’ll sign this.
I honestly see no bad from giving RPers a few spots. It’s not like they are asking a whole dungeon from you, like other groups. They are not even asking to change something in the district. Nothing to be developed, nothing new. You already have everything there, so just let them have it.

What Anet should do (order is not important):
1. Delete Ascended gear.
2. Edit Infusions to have only Agony resistance.
3. Add resistance slot to exo gear.
4. Make a public apology.

But people have stated this already in these forums many times and I highly doubt it will ever happen.

During the boss cut-scene, has anyone seen that karate-move the bruiser boss did, with sending kisses after the move? It was freaking hilarious!

You would be right if it weren’t for the fact that infusions have additional stats on them, and not only agony resistance.
Also, I would have no problem with this dungeon if all they did is added infusion place to existing gears, WITHOUT additional stats. There is no point in adding higher-stat gears and infusions with stats for your running the new dungeon (because they have to scale difficulty in the new dungeon to reflect higher stats) except for giving you a carrot to chaise.

Well it’s my understanding that they won’t respond to this. They gave us the PR talk in that blog post and that’s about it. They’ve been active about other issues on these forums (quite active in fact) but not a single word on this issue.
Since forums have become more fun that the game, I’m still going to lurk for a while here, but I’ve officially given up on this game.
Hope they surprise me, but not in the way they already have with the latest patch.

I think the choice was easy. All that they should’ve done was to follow their own manifesto. Simple as that. So whoever gets angry because of it, it’s not their problem.

I get your point, but it wasn’t me (us) who asked for a manifesto. It was them who published it as their own vision and guidelines. Users (some of them) bought their product because of that manifesto.
Again, I get your point and it is true. There will always be dissatisfied customers. But all I’m saying is that when it comes to decisions like this, that’s why you have manifesto for. So you won’t kick your customers in the ribs (majority, minority that’s open for debate).

But why do you think that they should be time-exclusive? IMO, they should be exclusive as in SAB only, not first-time-SAB-was-around-only-exclusive. My SAB staff and gs won’t be any less shiney nor less pretty if everyone got them this time.

I never said that one needs to have it tomorrow, nor the day after. In fact all I sad is that I won’t be able to get it in 2 weeks, like Lindsey mentioned in her video. How you understood that I want it “urgently” is beyond me, since I won’t go for ascended weapon, at all. I’ll be happy with my Legendary.

Do you even realize how much of dungeon running or WvW, one will need to do to get all the mats needed for the ascended, with current dungeon/WvW rewards? Champ-specific mats, jumping puzzle-specific mats, exotic-mats and so on…
I like how you keep conveniently forgetting the “full” story and full requirements. Back item: yeah you have 2 ways to get it, grind FotM or craft it. Nice way to forget that you still need to play FotM to get those mist essences, that are required by the recipe. So you are still locked into playing FotM. Also, when FotM was released the only way to get rings was through Maw bonus chest. Later they introduced pristines. Same goes for all other trinkets. Initially, there was only one way in getting them.

Again, I don’t know about you, but I got an exotic only once from all the world bosses I ever did. Only once. And it was some exotic mask from the bonus chest. Once! I can only dream of dropping something of any real value, Forget about the precursors. So with that drop rate of exotics, what do you honestly think that the drop rate of Teq’s ascended will be? I honestly hope it will be higher, but I highly doubt it.

Stop dismissing any argument people have just because it doesn’t conform to your play style. I don’t do much of the open world. It’s boring. Dungeons are fun, and I mostly run Arah because it’s pure fun, mechanic-, lore- and graphics-wise. IMO, it’s the most lore-heavy dungeon in this game. And I do WvW. So where does that leave people with similar playstyles as mine, who will go for ascended. Again, just because you like to roam open world, doesn’t mean the rest of the players have to do the same.

And please, stop pulling out arbitrary numbers out of thin air, just because they suit your point. This goes for all sides.

This guy was so vocal prior to GW2 release. Why isn’t he saying anything now? Is he still around?
Some people on the forums speculated that he left, but since these are speculations only I’m curious as to why he isn’t saying a word anymore (if he didn’t leave).

You do realize that you can “earn” those 50 ectos on your zerker warrior; thus it is of no indication what so ever, how good you are on a ranger.

You can’t just compare the games that were made for PARC Alto or games for Apple II computers, which had no need for an internet-server and GW2 which requires so many servers to run. Well, unless you tell me you played games on ARPANET or something (which is very, very unprobable considering that 40 years ago there were in total 40ish companies connected to it, and somehow I don’t think NASA or DARPA allowed games on it. I might be wrong though.).
Servers that run GW2 require monthly bills to be paid. Games from 40 years ago, had no server requirement. Even today, the non-online games don’t need micro-transactions. I’m fine with micro-transactions as long as they are fluff things.
I do agree with you on the RNG cash-shop thing. It’s utterly ridiculous and I was really hopping that Anet would be above it. But then again, I thought they would be above so many things…

But by this logic, you should be complaining about all the dungeon skins too. You can’t get Arah or HoTW (or any other dungeon) armor skins without running those dungeons multiple times. It’s exactly the same thing.
Well not really, for dungeon armors you can get it only by running dungeons, and with achievements you can basically play any part of the game that you like and still progress towards the Zenith skins (since you need only 1k of achievements).
