It takes exactly twice as many clicks as before. I prefer to have the option to one-click cancel, but I don’t think it’s worth ANet’s time to worry about it.

I really don’t want an option to “Cancel All” unless we have to type a long code word or something — I’d hate to accidentally click & confirm

It’s not the number of clicks that’s the problem. Its the delay that is induced now because you have a delay in between being able to click now before the button updates from Cancel to Confirm to Cancel for the next one.
Previously, you could spam clicks and you could cancel orders as fast as you could click. Now there’s around a quarter second delay before you can click again.

Since the web interface was fixed to remove the single click cancel, would it be possible to get a Cancel All button then? It can take a long time to cancel orders now.

The aura ones can be changed like the ones from halloween, wintersday, and SAB. The ones made through fractals and Ghostlies cannot.

Looks like a new Samarog challenge mote bug has been introduced.

After the 12 spears spawn, if Samarog does his phase transition when he would normally pull the spears in, it appears it is cancelling whatever skill he uses to pull them. If this happens, then the timer for another 12 spears needs to be waited before he’ll pull the spears again.

It seems to be a problem if the pull is supposed to happen from the time he goes invulnerable to where he goes to his resting animation in his little nook that he waits in while you deal with Guldhem and Rigom.

Current workaround seems to be to hold damaging Samarog so he pulls the spears before phasing or to deal enough damage that he finishes his charge prior to the 12th spear finishing spawning.

Not sure if this is happening on normal mode Samarog though even if it was, it wouldn’t be much of a problem there.

The crystalline heart buff should only be getting removed if you die. Going into down state doesn’t remove it.

If it is, send in a bug report or post a video of it happening.

Should be right at the beginning before you jump down. You need to have all the achievements listed under Nightmare Fractal tab completed first to have it show up or someone in your party who has completed to activate it..

Took us about 3 hours and 45 minutes to finish.
Cameron didn’t divulge any mechanics and just gave a maniacal laugh whenever we wiped.

Great fractal and challenge. Would love to see more.

Guardians and Eles are still fine for DPS classes.
Thieves and Engis are both still viable but are a lot less desirable with the changes.
Revenant is pretty much out now.

A set of daily T4s take less than 30 minutes even if you take the three longest ones. Are some of the new instabilities annoying on certain fractals? Sure. It still didn’t make them that hard as long as you know how to deal with them.

black lion scraps and tickets come in at a semi decent % and after all of the chests I’ve opened, the rate is relatively decent vs buying the skin off the tp. Granted, I also go for all skins so this ends up being cheaper for me in the long run. Any other drops end up being just some bonuses (especially if it happens to be a permanent kit).
I also only buy gem cards when they’re discounted and usually only buy black lion keys when they are also discounted to double up on the savings.

As someone mentioned earlier, if you’re going in there expecting to get a Permanent Hair Stylist Contract every time, I hope you are one that never goes to a casino.

Its because new people who join the squad go to squad 1 first which is why it has turned into a lobby of sorts for multi mapping AB. If people just joined, others may try to join on them and end up on the wrong map. It’s more of a place to people to sort themselves out to where they’re supposed to go.

If you don’t have a lobby, while you’re swapping maps, you’ll be in the wrong map for a little bit as you either sat in your current squad, changed maps, then changed squads, or you changed squads then swapped maps. Either way, someone who may be trying to get into the squad’s map may join on you when you’re on the wrong map and end up in the wrong place.

I would raid if the community did not judge your gear & skill level, for those of us who have never raided we need to learn. I have tried for months to get into a raid but get kicked out if I don’t have the right gear or know the run.

I saw a lot of these posts going around and offered to help anybody who wanted to learn raids, no matter the level of experience. There was very little interest from people who actually wanted to learn. While I still do it, it’s more with one of the three training guilds that I assist with now.

There are people out there willing to help newcomers. Most of us who are up for this also expect the person who’s coming for help to put some work in and take the time to learn it though so we don’t feel like we’re wasting our time with some people.

Fused and sclerite weapons to be re-released.

If your aim is to get black lion skins, the price has generally been comparable to buying the skins with gold if you buy gem cards when they’re on sale and also buy black lion keys when they’re on sale. I wouldn’t buy the keys unless they’re on sale.
Bets Buy currently has a buy one get one 15% off on game cards which I just found out yesterday because it wasn’t advertised. On top of that if you’re an Elite member, there was a promotion for 11% points back for a purchase in August so that comes out to 18.5% discount overall per gem card. Combine that with the 26% off on keys atm and it comes out decently.

I’ve done 3 T4s in the last couple of weeks because I happened to be going through VB and realized it was night time and went to the LFG to find a map that was going for it.

That’s a blatant lie, as I was invited to the guild even though I clearly stated that I did not have full ascended gear and that I hadn’t killed Vale Guardian. The guild leader you spoke to even showed you three applications of people saying the exact same thing as I said in my application, yet you continue to act as if the guild is the devil simply because they didn’t want someone with your attitude.

Eh after hearing this, I might just post the entire conversation I had with him just to show how big of a jerk.

Don’t know. Apparently its a EU thing, I guess. For training runs, I just ask that people be geared at a minimum of exotics with builds that make sense. Other than that, its more about the individual willing to learn and to listen.

I’ve just had a two hour in game conversation with the OP via whispers and quote "being the “nice one” typically doesn’t get you anywhere in life". On responding to me asking him why he thinks its ok to be a kittenbag, he responded with “why wouldn’kitten it works more often for most cases on aand off game”.

I tried giving an example of him getting a new job with no experience and being the guy that tells his boss that he can do his job better than the boss and he replied back that he’s done that and it provides new perspective to his boss.

The entire conversation summed up to him saying not playing friendly with people and being a jerk is more productive and meta builds aren’t good to him because he personally didn’t test or come up with them and he doesn’t wan to run them.

If anyone want screenshots of the conversation, I’m willing to provide.

Well this goes both ways. You’ve been pretty hostile to pretty much everybody that’s been trying to discuss this with you.

There are people who are willing to go through the mechanics of raids and teach new people. I’ve been part of those groups and explained as much as possible and answered any and all questions. Is it an issue that some so called training groups don’t explain? Yes. I’ve been told that after multiple attempted training runs that I was the first one that actually explained things to them. Most people consider training runs just practice runs. If you want to go over mechanics of each boss, let me know. I’m perfectly willing to help out. Unfortunately, I’m on NA so any assistance would only be through voice comms and basically be a question and answer.

As for your build, as long as you have Glint and can rotate in and out of it well, your other legendary is basically going to be whatever you need for the fight. Bringing Shiro seems to be an odd choice as the main draw of Shiro is the self quickness which is already provided by the Mesmer during raids. Is it going to wreck a run if you run it? No but most raid groups will find it weird to run Shiro unless for some specific issues like simplifying the mortar mechanic on the Trio.

As far as people constantly referring to the meta. People use the term “meta” for the commonly run builds that have been shown to be effective. For most of the meta builds, there’s reasons to bring specific traits and weapon sets for each boss and a lot of this has been discovered through theorycrafting and then putting it to the test and then tweaking in raids by guilds that have put numerous hours into testing. Are you going to fail the raid because you’re not running that stuff? No you will not but if you’re joining a training group, it definitely helps because whoever’s running the group will know what he has available to him.

You COMPLETELY missed the point of why I don’t use them.
I don’t use them because they are not fun. I don’t refuse to be some sort of gw2 hipster. To me they are not fun to use, specific weapons are not fun to use, specific elites or utilities I dislike using and are no fun to me.

I understand my builds and in a lot of cases it’s the same, maybe slight variations. Necro for example, I was using a variation of a well build for pvp I created myself before it was even up on any meta websites. it was mostly identical, again I do understand my proffesions. I just like using things that are fun to me. if a build or weapon set or utilities are not fun I am not going to use them. It would be negative on my gaming experience.

Can you give us an example of what builds you’re running when you attempt raids? As long as a build makes sense is generally what I look for. If someone is running a different build but is still performing the mechanics and doing what his class needs to do, pugs usually don’t care.

I say that I outperform meta because I understand my build more and my proffesion more. In my experience especially in pvp, those that just copy/paste metas majority of the time they have no clue how to properly use them and no experience with the proffesion and thus are easy to kill. What matters is the skill of the individual using the build, not usually the build itself. It helps but not essential in my experience. Meta is “best” on paper, but in the hands of an amateur it’s no better than anything else.

I wouldn’t say you’re outperforming a meta build; I would say you’re saying you’re outperforming players. Could some builds be out there that perform better and they just haven’t caught on yet? Sure. It would be nice if you posted what builds you were running that you’re stating can do so well but pugs are just disregarding.

The training guilds that I’ve been helping out with don’t really have many skill requirements beyond a desire to learn and improve. Some have ascended weapon mininums. I ask for people to just have a minimum of exotics with stats and runes that make sense.

159 is the max if you’ve been raiding from the beginning.

I was in game and closed it to download the new patch. Now when I try to log in, it is saying my email is invalid. When I try to reset password, it says that my email address isn’t valid. My account is still logged in on the forums but if I try to go to My Account or anything else that I have to put my log in information in again, it says my email is invalid. Did something go awry with the patch that affected the log in database?

Well if they made this, why would it defeat the purpose of removing it from WvW? If someone has this, they don’t need to go to WvW to use a crafting station; they can just use it wherever they are.

Buff condi’s sure. Give KC the same treatment the Dredge Fractal bosses got with the Superheated debuff.

Pretty sure condis are already affected by KC’s damage buff; it’s just that condis take a bit to build up. The OP is complaining that condis aren’t bursty.

anet did say previously they were looking at reworking infusions a bit but had to delay it because whatever they did removed all infusions from everybody. So something’s in the works, we just don’t know what.

This is seen as one of the more well designed fractals. Once you learn how to do it quickly, it goes by fine.

One person solos heat room, mesmer or thief solos the maze or have two people do it, everyone else breaks the doors down, and you do Ooze together.
You also have the option of doing each room together as a full team if you so choose.

As for the anomaly, learn when you can melee and when you need to break off. The platforms disappear occasionally while you’re standing on them though they flash beforehand so you have time to get off. When the little exploding stars show up later on in the fight, they’ll blow up the platforms underneath them and knock you down if you’re near them.

Boons prioritize your sub group first, then other players.

For players with the same priority, its by proximity.

A lot of groups use a 4-4-2 comp with a warrior and a ranger and two dps in the squads of 4 and then a rev and a mes together. This maintains 25 stacks of might, banners, EA, frost spirit, spotter, and grace of the land on all your DPS.

The revenant is giving the mesmer +50% boon duration and the mesmer is spreading quickness to everyone.

Mirror is almost the same except you have two squds of warrior, ranger, mesmer, two dps. This has better alacrity uptime for everybody but means you are bringing two mesmers instead of a revenant and a mesmer.

The seven people in one group you’re referring to is probably a 7-2-1 set up with a warrior, ranger, 5 dps in squad one, rev and mes in squad 2, and another ranger in squad 3 by itself.

The 4-4-2 is seen as the optimal set up with mirror being about 10k dps behind it. 4-4-2 requires your lone mesmer to actually know what it’s doing to make sure everybody gets quickness while mirror is a little bit safer as far as quickness goes. I don’t know if anyone has done a dps comparison with 7-2-1 since I’ve only seen pugs run that and I haven’t run that in an organized group in a while.

If you have a free guild slot, peek down in the LFM forum or in the Raids forum for a raid training guild. I was in a helpful one for a bit until I realized I simply didn’t have the resources to regear as needed and left so as not to clutter their roster. They offered training but also did regular runs and consistently put up LFG’s to fill raid rosters.

I’d name them but I think promoting a particular guild is frowned upon here. Just check the raid/LFM forums for a poster with “Random” in his name

I actually just joined this guild like a week ago; had my first training run ever, first time stepping into a raid (in gw2 anyway), walked out with a Sloth kill was pretty awesome.

Maybe my problem was my training run was on VG (apparently other fights are easier) and every time the group started to gel a few people left and we got brand new people. Never got the kill, and then the gear spec changed so everything I’d done to make my heal druid ready was for naught. Alas. It’s still a great and helpful guild and people tired of LFG ads should look into it and similar guilds.

I did a bunch of prepwork with the group pink was with for the sloth training run to ensure people were familiar with their own classes first and then went through all the mechanics on sloth before the fight then again during the fight.

As for replacing people that had to leave, I pulled from my own guild so we wouldn’t have to start over going over stuff with brand new people.

I see a lot of training groups going in and people are just learning by trial by error. Some of them weren’t even that the mechanics were bad; it was that some of them didn’t know how to play their classes at all so breaks and/or dps didn’t happen. My mentality is to take it in steps so learn the basics of your class first (dps and break rotation), learn the mechanics of the fight, then execute them together.

Xera wasn’t that hard before people started using this.

They can easily fix it just by applying the piercing trait to its projectiles.

Honest question since I don’t know how long you have been playing. But if you missed out on any events in the past that gave out exclusive account bound skins (or hell something like you missed this past BL skin sale where they were all account bound upon buying) do those empty spaces in your wardrobe bother you? Do you just ignore them when trying to go for wardrobe completion since there is no way for you to get them anymore?

I have pretty much all of the gem store skins. For the ones that haven’t been available in a long time like some of the glasses, I’ll just wait patiently for them to get released again. They did it with bunny ears so we have hope.

For the black lion weapon sets, I don’t have Fused or Sclerite. I’m hoping those are released again similar to how the other ones were.

Some of the non obtainable ones like the old pvp skins I’ll just hope that maybe Anet will eventually have them become available.

You don’t need to have a static team to get all the raid achievements.

If anyone’s wondering, this is my current wardrobe status according to efficiency: You have 3,738 of 4,143 (90.2%) skins in total.

My problem has always been there’s too much to do. That’s mainly due to my list of goals I want to finish in the game though like 100% wardrobe, all achievements, etc. Most of the core skins you could get by just throwing more gold at the problem, not so much for HoT where there’s a lot of map currency farming involved.

This has pretty much meant that I’ve always have had something to do in the game whenever I’m on and this is after more than 13,000 hours since launch.

For the players that don’t have as completionist goals, getting characters in full ascended if you want (exotics work fine in pretty much everywhere but high level fractals) and experiencing the majority of the content including raids, fractals, dungeons, both personal stories, and the open world stuff doesn’t take as much time.

Well someone on reddit did add it up and its comparable in cost for the known needed items to a HoT legendary.

The Zhaitan fight at the end of your personal story is not end game so that’s not a something to use as an indicator. Try raids out or if you don’t have HoT, fractals and dungeons.

The forge interface would be horrendously cluttered if it had access to your bank and material storage. Try moving as much as you can from your bank/material storage to your inventory and go to the forge or take a look at the discovery panel for something like artificer and see how much stuff shows up in there.

If this was accidentally put in the game early, was it kept in the game or did it get patched out again?

Also any chance that the halloween armor skins could included in the MF tables as well?

Why are you using mystic kits for this if all you’re going for is luck anyways?

Are you looking for Critical Crafting bonuses?
Those are provided through the newer Magic Find booster, crafting boosters, WvW server bonuses, and the Crafting Guild Buff.
