As far as the destroyers are concerned; I’ve seen destroyer trolls and spiders
[…]
the destroyers appear to be corrupted creatures from the mountains (trolls and spiders.Destroyers mimic life. And it would be crabs, not spiders.
There are “Destroyer Crab” “Destroyer Troll” and “Destroyer Harpy” models, but they’re not corrupted beings. They’re just made in mimicry of crabs, trolls, and harpies.
If you observe the destroyers carefully, though its harder for crabs, you can tell that they very much were never living creatures. No bones, skin, hair, etc. And Destroyer Harpies are actually hollow (you can only tell this when they die, at a certain angle). Other dragon minions always retain some fragment of their former bodies – even Icebrood Colossi, despite being giant blocks of ice, still contain the original skeletons that the creatures once were.
Though it was to my understanding and agreement that destroyers only mimic life, it is notable to point out that in the crucible of eternity story, trapped test subjects are somehow able to be turned into destroyers. Granted, this may simply be due to the inquest forcing exposure to dragon energies on the subjects, so whether or not it’s an isolated case is unknown. I’d assume it is though (or simply a dev oversight) .
well explain, and nice idea.
perhaps the elder dragons simply want to reclaim what’s was already theirs?
5% of the community uses the forums.
10% of the 5% that use the forums wanted more gear progression.
yup.
The problem is, all they saw was the complaint about wanting gear progression.
Never did they see the many people content with how it was.
Basically what Joiry said.
Gear progression fine. The stats aren’t that impressive anyway.
Creating gear that is a grind to get and is required to progress in any environment?
No.
To be fair, we have no way to know how much of this gear is obtained, other than the forge, but considering it’s a level above exotics, we can fairly well assume it’s going to be a large grind or a huge cost.
would be a nice throwback to the old fort aspenwood map type gameplay in gw1
granted, couldn’t be the same area, just same playstyle.
they’re actually filled with hyenas
it’s a vanity cost.
deal with it, that’s how gw has always been.
only problem is then gay marriage political rabble happens and kitten hits the fan.
not that I have anything against gay marriage, just pointing out that whether or not it’s there people get mad.
sell your body.
go to documents, gw2 file, music.

while it’s nice you’re warning people, I don’t see how raging on the forums fixes anything.
only real reference I’ve found to Eve is that there is a skull focus that can be created via the mystic forge called Adam. Sadly, this really doesn’t give any lore perspective of what happened.
I think this [http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Skill_Gem] gives a bit of insight as to what Anet thought signets were initially, if you’re wondering
“Skills were initially conceived as being rings, explaining why a player could only bring eight skills as well as the concept of the Signet skill type (Signets are engravings on rings).”
just a bit of info, i guess.
also remove the ability for mounts to jump just because that almost always looks extremely (EXTREMELY) tacky and strange.
@Takatsu- you might find this

gummy… unless you’re a mindreader, please let people answer the questions directed at them, instead of making presumptions.
would certainly be an easy way for anet to add some currently pvp only skins like tribal light armor
how does it take for bots to start farming players
not in pve atm, possibly in pve in the future, depending on whether or not anet whims it.
New Couples Dancing that requires two people (Ballroom dancing)!

that would actually be pretty awesome.
might be a bit of a pain to figure out how some races dance together though (think charr/asura dancing)
no.
no.
please no.
@steven I presume you’re referring to the concept art for utopia (3rd gw1 expansion), which was implied to have mounts… and then canceled for eye of the north and gw2)
honestly.. adding mounts just feels.. cheap.. and horribly cheesy

well, once we find volcanus, titan’s venagnce probably won’t be far behind (lava axe skin)
..unless we’ve found that and I’m just really uninformed.
@Narcemus
considering the dragons consume magic, it is possible that they are drawn to the bloodstones, which are known to be extremely magically potent and located throughout Tyria.

how in any way is ~3.5s for a trait reset ridiculous?
and if you want to experiment, go to the mists, you can constantly add and respec your traits there (though only for pvp)
I think it can pretty much be explained in that
“Zommoros makes magics”
given the nature of the asura, it could simply be some random artifact that they discarded.
I don’t really have any present idea what it could be.
this thread made me sad.
nice add on for pve, extremely useful for wvw.
if I recall correctly, it has something to do the magnetic fields in that area.
(don’t quote me on it though)

I have never seen any information stating that the only ways to kill a troll is to burn them.
I’ve also never seen any information stating they’ll fully regenerate into a new troll if you dismember them.
Like Tuo said, they just regenerate slightly faster than other races. Beside that, nothing special has been stated about them to my knowledge.
(also, I’d like to point out regarding your sig the class is ranger, not hunter)
the only thing I gathered from this post is that the OP has no idea what he’s talking about.
I think the most I’ve ever gotten from a salvage was 2. And that was only once.
from what I can tell, they simply moved rare weapon skins to the forge, so that rather than doing a hard dungeon and getting nothing, you always get something, where as if you want to gamble, you can risk items in the forge for a rare skin exotic.
given that all his body parts are made up of dragons (or, were in early concept art), I wouldn’t mind the idea of rather than him being alive, there are body parts of his still roaming about spreading corruption, albeit less effectively.
there’s an extremely obvious blocked potential zone portal at the south east corner of mount maelstrom.
it seems to lead towards the crystal desert, or perhaps to where mathan’s grotto once was.
either way, a large part of the zone will definitely be underwater.
(edited by arcqe.6734)
you’re sadly mistaken if you believe you can’t make money off of the forge.
perhaps you should learn to use it, it actually has very little to do with gambling.
I suppose it would depend on whether or not the seer is still alive.
as it is, i have no info on that ._.
it would be interesting to find out though.
all I saw was attempts at starting an argument and trolling..
didn’t think of that, but that probably would be why.
thanks.

I have no idea what I’m doing to cause this. I’ve been leveling my dual dagger ele and I keep getting this error message.
It’s certainly nothing game breaking but.. it is a bit annoying to have it pop up every few seconds in big red text on my screen.
Glint actually turned against Kral due to her ability to see inside the mind of Kral’s enemies, and therefore became empathetic to them.
The dragons are not described as a intelligent, thinking being, but rather a force of nature. Whether or not this is true, the dragons would likely just corrupt someone before they would agree (if they could) to peace.
Why have peace with something when you have the power to stomp it out of existence?
A few corrections based on lore discovered from GW2:
1) Glint was given free will by a powerful spell the forgotten had used. This, combined with her mind-reading abilities, is what allowed her to betray Kralkatorrik.
I thought that was the case, but I was tentative on putting that there given that i couldn’t find any source to site.
@Konig Des Todes, I just wanted to drop in and say that i’m really impressed with your posts. Where do you get this stuff? I don’t know much about lore so your posts (here and on guru) really make things clear. Just keep ’em coming
Konig is a fairly well known and active member of the guild wiki team, if memory serves.
mobs respawning to the side, happening to be where a event mob spawns falls more under the category of really bad luck, not a problem with the game :x
it would certainly be an interesting twist to have a sixth dragon that no one knows about.

why are we even bringing our own beliefs into this discussion?
there is hinting towards an earth or plant dragon throughout the world.
consider the inquest lab itself, containing 6 rooms for the 5 dragons. The room which does not pertain to a dragon (as far as we know), ie the skillpoint room, is covered with plants and poisonous fauna.
furthermore, in the CoE itself, while the party is attacked by dragon minions, there are also husks similar to that which the nightmare court employ.
I would guess that the nightmare itself may be some sort of corruption of mordramoth, but this could be false.
all we can really do for now is speculate.
