Hai,
I no longer have a home. I am a refugee forced to live in a new land against my will. Although I come across my fellow brethren from time to time it is apparent that this is not where we belong. 3/4 of the population here is different than us. They have different values and different religions. They do not speak our language; we have a hard time communicating with eachother. The only emotion we are able to convey now is hatred.
I do not like these people. I do not wish to worship the house of player vs door, it does not make sense. These people do not care for winning, they group and they fight and they die more than they kill. We will always be third place at this rate. I don’t feel much motivation if any to fight anymore….I just wander now. I do not have an identity anymore…I do not have any rank….or prestige….there is nothing left for me here now. Perhaps time will heal my wounds, and I will be able to find a new home. Perhaps there is no home left for me to find.
I HOPE YOU FIND MY WORDS GRIEVOUS AND INSULTING. THANKYOU FOR YOUR TIME.

Well you know better now. You learned something worth more than 100g virtual gold lol. You might even consider thanking the jerk should you run into him in the future. Someone you type a few messages back and forth to in the course of 30-60 minutes isn’t a trustworthy source.

Everyone in Berserk is generally running glass cannon these days. I think its rather tactful to tank a killing blow and trigger the Dead or Alive and use it as a block//heal if your hp is low enough to benefit from dying that way. I don’t really understand why you would feel something that allows you to come back to life need to be improved upon, even if it is limited to ur time in berserk mode (which is fairly lengthy). When fighting berserkers its quite hard to read their sustains since they can stack so many resurrection type skills (endure pain, defy pain, defiant stance, dead or alive, adrenal health and other strong proc heals). it’s a case of reading their attacks and dodging while doing as much damage as possible without knowing which of your attacks is actually going to land a killing blow and which is just gonna heal or be blocked by them. These types of skills and our raw damage output are really the only reasons we still get by. I think Dead or alive is fine as is….everyone should be thankful there isn’t an interrupt put on a warrior’s skills when it is triggered (how else would u get off those gunflame and killshots?).

Hi I was catapulting Blue keep on EBG last night from langor wall. And after dealing with some enemies I came back and got on the cata again and something odd happened.
Half my character fell into the wall…the other half was sticking out still. Then I started dipping up and down slightly in that state. I was stuck in a falling animation I believe. And I COULD NOT use any of my abilities. Could not leave the catapult. Could not fire the catapult. COuld not use any of my utility skills or anything there. I couldn’t break free either with movement commands. I ended up having to port back to our keep and walk back. Never had this happen before was really weird/unexpected/annoying.
When placing the cata I threw it on the wall from below so it would be as far back as possible. I’m assuming that would have something to do with it. Also I solo’d blue keep when I got back….bragging rights.

I mean I can understand people especially new players or colour blind players wanting tags to be a single colour so its easier to follow/understand. In which cause I think an option (in the options menu) to make all tags the same colour of your choosing is a good idea that would put these minority concerns to rest. While the rest of us can enjoy a full RBG tag colour system!
-Black
-White
-Orange
-Green (Emerald)
Otherwise:
Just give us this for now. We will be happy and you won’t have to revisit the discussion in the future because enough people will be happy having 7 colours total to choose from. Problem solved. Simple solution. Simple Life.
You can even charge money for these. People WILL buy them.

1. Overall Positive feeling, but negative sentiments that it might replace BL pride.
2. You gain participation too fast in a group. Should be based on individual action. And the rate at which you gain it should be slowed, just doing normal wvsw stuff (even with lounge time sitting around doing nothing) maxes the bar thingy way way way before the timer resets.
3. Rate is fine I think? it’s mainly the rewards that we get are skimpy
4. Bad. Give more siege and things that we SPEND playing the mode. And the triumphant armour sets (heavey armour anyways) are terrible looking….this armour is skinny and exposed, looks like something a kid makes out of cardboard. Really the highlight of the reward tracks is the 2gold and the other ‘pure’ gold given. The other stuff is just salvage junk that takes too long to open and deal with for the effort. i don’t feel rewarded when I’m given a ton of different chests I have to open to then salvage bad items for generic mats all the time.
5. Boosts would be good…those combat ones especially for speed boosts for golemns and stuff.

Nah I’m not trolling, although upon rereading this I use ‘amazing’ and ‘good’ a few too many times. I am legitamity having a ton of fun because of this and the other changes made to the defense traitline. I mean it honestly feels like defense has become our elite spec, it just feels so overwhelmingly good and overpowered right now compared to the other warrior trait lines. And for that reason I was thinking to myself that it has to get nerfed. It doesn’t make sense to have 2 op elite spec trait lines that eclipse all the others given the meta all the other professions share (i.e. only their elite spec is op and necessary). I mean realistically it makes no sense that any elite spec is more op than any other trait line but…thats gw2 HoT.
Warrior feels and plays so great with the defense line atm. And from what I ‘see’ so far it makes certain utility skills and weapons even more powerful than others (i.e. healing signet) to the extent that they totally eclipse all others (to the limit, mending, defiant stance). And on the basis of not limiting the meta maybe it HAS to be changed…..or become baseline (one can dream)?
I’m not really trying to say it is OP, it definitely doesn’t make warriors OP or hand them that new important pvp role that will see them in the finals.

Cerby, THANKS for the post. 2 good builds and both doesnt require last elite specialisqation as my warrior have 0 points in it atm
So you use those in WvW, what happens when you encounter group of 2 not noob players and you are alone? Have you tried pvp with those builds?
General rule of thumb when I’m running these is that its fine to engage 2vs1 regardless of the skill-level the enemy might be. You will know very early on in the fight whether or not you have a chance at winning or not. If you aren’t landing the hits, and you are taking too much damage, you can simply retreat with these builds. It’s something I do all the time. I mean a week ago I remember trying to ambush 2 players leaving a supply camp. My attacks didn’t connect and it became obvious very fast they knew what they were doing and I wasn’t going to survive 2vs1….so I just ran! And they chased me all the way to air keep. At which point one of them was wasting his movement skills chasing me thinking I was easy pickings. I camped by the entrance to the keep and he came right up on me and I bursted him down so fast even he looked surprised. Then when his friend came and I quickly became the one chasing HIM and I killed him no problem 1vs1. Today I engaged 2 daredevils. After a while it became apparent I would die if I kept fighting them both. So while i still had enough hp….I dropped down a cliff and survived with the “death from above” trait. They weren’t dumb enough to follow me straight down so I had time to Out of combat regen and escape. I ran around….met one of them as I got back up the hill after going around (was the gulley between langor and dane on ebg) and I killed him. Then the other came right after and I killed him too. It was rather funny, but its another good example of ways the builds can let you win a fight against a stronger enemy force. And both situations the ending was the same….picking off the enemy 1 by 1. It also helped that both groups had the opportunity to underestimate me, and left themselves vulnerable to being bursted down 1 by 1.
It’s a case of having the resources to kite an enemy and retreat from bad situations. Both these builds give you those resources. They are both ‘just’ enough survivability, and a TON of damage. Infact if you want to add more zerker gear to either of them you can. I do not feel comfortable running full zerk though, and the gear in these builds is the maximum amount of zerk gear ‘I’ can comfortably run without jeopardizing my survivability. Better players will be able to run with even less defense. Honestly the ideal warrior is one who is full damage gear, and uses dodges and abilities that absorb infinite damage values (defy pain, endure pain, resistance against conditions, shield stance, defiant stance) as their defense should they need it.
And no I don’t really play pvp, and I’ve never really tried any of these builds in it. I don’t the pvp mode itself. If there was a mode where I could just duel and fight other players for points I’d like that…..but pvp is about capping and standing in rings and doing this little moba map dance thing where the fighting and killing is irrelevant compared to capping rings and killing a pve boss.

This IS AMAZINGLY GOOD. Warrior ‘feels’ amazing for once, and I’m racking my brain trying to figure out how much longer this can last for. Make no mistake there is no comparison next to revenant and other professions and what they can bring to the pvp/wvsw table…..but its just made warrior SOOOO GOOOD compared to what we are used to being. I’m running 4 signets passively in my Wvsw build and I’m absolutely wrecking almost all my opponents (daredevils get owned, chrono get owned, good revs still doing the owning tho haha). I mean I can handle 2 daredevils at once now with this patch……I could barely handle 1 before it, and now I’m dealing with 2 at the same time! That’s amazing! That feels so amazingly goood!
I’m just having so much fun since this patch. I’M HAVING SO MUCH FUN AND I WANT TO KNOW: When will they be nerfing it?

I’m coming from mesmer as main and after the buffs from the patch I wanted to dust off my warrior and see how I fair with the class. I have elite spec unlocked.
I’m really at a loss on where to begin on the build and hoping some of you that main warrior can point me in the right direction. I’ve taken a stab in the dark putting something together:
With the patch changes there may be better options. Just unsure what would be best. I haven’t played warrior with any regularity in 2 years so please excuse my noobness.
One again this is focused on WvW solo roaming. Not group play.
Thank you in advance for any assistance!!!
Definitely lose the tactics trait line if you are solo roaming. Take defense instead.
In terms of vanilla warrior builds I didn’t really like any of the ones people suggested above. So I’ll give you mine
Here is my wvsw roamer build using Gs/Sword+shield. I would highly recommend it for solo roam, you can do/take everything on Desert bl using this build as well as ebg (cept solo sm lord probably…although I’m working on that). It’s a very friendly solid build that anyone can really get into and start doing well with. Tons of damage, and alot of defense at very little cost to damage.
http://ru.gw2skills.net/editor/?vJEQNAR8ejMdQXIWFC2dAnIG6BKLA+gIQbjwPMwaoHyBA-TlDEABPcAESZ/hsPgAJq+DEHEg20BwkynIOCAdpEEgLQwTKhc/ABaGc7BA0hGmAAIA38mZz2M4oH9oDdoDtrbzbezbezSBMxCA-w
The food can be changed to lifesteal/health regen/ or whatever. Should keep the maintenance oil though for extra precision. Sigil of night can be changed to sigil of energy for extra survivability during the day anyways (decreases ur damage by alot though)….during the night I sometimes still recommend sigil of night especially for pve since the damage is so high. Infact I suggest you have a night Gs you can swap in just for sigil of night, 10% damage increase is HUGE.
Alternatively I’ve been playing around with new builds since the recent patch. And I’ve very much been enjoying axe/shield for the first time ever. I used to be a HUGE sword/shield fan and would always hate axe (really reallly hate axe passionately)…..but this newest patch has changed things and I’m really enjoying axe for once!
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vJEQNAR3ejMdQhHWFC2dAnIG6BKsG6hcQbjwPMsA4DiAA-TVDEABufAENC5qh5JlQbpEkgjAAAXggsPgAtpLIR1fg4gAky+DP8gAYS5TAAEgbezsZbGc0je0hO0h21t5Nv5NvZpACcBA-w
I kid you not, 4 signets = win. When dealing with large zerg forces swap in an endure pain over the signet of stamina….or go the other route and choose frenzy if you are able to jump in and out.
Oh and you might want to change heightened focus for burst mastery in the discipline trait line (last column) for both these builds just cause adrenaline is now an insanely important part of sustain due to adrenal health changes. Personally I still love the quickness more though…..something for you to decide on ur own.

This makes capping towers first the only choice, not just the best choice. It won’t lead to diversity in strategy. I like the goal, but I can’t support this method of achieving it.
This. Goal of diversity and more mechanics at play is welcome (probably not to the community as a whole though) to make caps more purposeful and tactical…..but doing so funnels the plans of attack down to a generic path.
HOWEVER, I do not think this is bad for the DBL at all. Infact I think it is a good thing if enemy movement is more predetermined. So defenders know what is going to get hit next rather than having to run around the map chasing after attackers all the time…getting there to defend too late in the attack. With such a system proposed defenders know exactly where to go right off the bat, and real defenses can be erected the way the gamemode wants us to. Should an enemy bypass the plan and go for a keep or different objective…it gives defenders extra time to get there because of the tougher walls/gates.
At first I was against the OP as well but upon reflection I think its good for the DBL. I do not think it belongs in EBG though, infact I would be very vocal AGAINST introduction of such a thing in EBG.
The Tiny Yuno Sniper of Ebay [EBAY]
Cause sharing is caring!
State what builds you growing a liking too so far with the new patch. State the gamemode you are using them in as well.
For WvsW I used to run pretty much just this (with variation on the food choice, lifesteal or some other health regen usually taken):
http://de.gw2skills.net/editor/?vJEQNAR8ejMdQXIWFC2dAnIG6BKsG6hcwCgPIC02I8DDA-TlDEABZfAB6QDTb6Ag4gA8wBQoLlgJq+j7HIQzAAXgAmU+42DA4JlQRcEASZ/hAAIA38mZz2M4oH9oDdoDtrbzbezbezSBMxCA-w
Since the build I’ve been messing around and I’ve been having a TON of fun with this build:
http://de.gw2skills.net/editor/?vJEQNAR8ejMdQbIWFC2dAnIG6BKLA+gIQbjwPMwaoHyBA-TVDEABtpD4JlQbpEMXNMps/wDPIAAuABQcQAc/AIaGy+ACwkynIOCAJq+TAAEgbezsZbGc0je0hO0h21t5Nv5NvZpAmYBA-w
Reasons? With defy pain procing at 50% I don’t need to have an endure pain I can proc to shield me from getting too far under 50% hp. With adrenal health I can recover from 50% hp alot easier. With the extra dodge from sigil of energy I am not stuck sitting around waiting for my next move to come off cd against enemies with ALOT of moves and sustained/highdmg fighting styles (thieves/mesmers)…..I do less damage though that is a fact. I mean basically my first utility slot is a spare one given I don’t need endure pain anymore. You could really fit anything in there should you chooose….something physical like bola or signet of stamina or signet of fury.for their passives. I’m partial to quickness with warrior gs though since it makes your attacks feel more fluid and natural (feel more control). I had a really fun time with this build kiting in and out of zerg fights…moving around and bursting down enemies. It was very “on the move”. Get in and do damage and retreat using shield stance and your 2-3 dodges when things start getting hot. In terms of dueling it worked out fine as well without the endure pain. I mean if there was another passive damage buffer (a second signet of might) I would just take that over frenzy. In terms of the food choice I really like the +200 power on kill for wvsw. When I go into fights I have that extra 200 power already there…I don’t need to hit people and build might stacks and it frees up potential might stacks I can use as opposed to that golden dumpling or whatever that gives might on crit. The lack of boon duration is a bit of a loss with the food choice but it feels very natural this way and I really like it so far. The cleave against pve is another sticking point that is very helpful…dont want to be worrying about guards when fighting players, plus it makes taking objectives faster. I mean most of the time I’m trying to end things with an enemy quickly and burst them so they don’t heal everything….extra boon duration only seeks to lengthen the amount of time and my ability to do the damage needed.
With the gear, before the patch I had a hard time without the back piece being cavalier (making 2 pieces that weren’t full zerk). Since the patch though I’ve been doing fine with azerk backpiece and just 1 piece (captain’s earring) that isn’t full zerk. I would like to swap out one of the sigils but leeching even now is still insanely useful and the gs sigils can’t be changed..maybe my night gs could swap the 250 power for 10% damage increase I’m assuming 10% dmg>250 power? Probably too much hassle to swap it like that though.

Everything is gold based. Badges are gold. Food is gold. Badges also buy you things u can’t with gold…..so they are worth hanging onto in some quantity. Quite a few useful food types you can get for 2c a piece on the Tp. I don’t know how many badges each food in the vendor costs but I would imagine the number of badges don’t equate to 2copper. I don’t know cause I don’t have Hot. Obviously they added this to let people who did buy Hot that were feeling jilted that their faith and investment was appreciated and they are gonna be pampered and treated special…..without recieving anyhting of real value other than to experience the content that already had access to but barring others from doing so.

All the best pvp builds require HoT that makes it kinda p2w tbh.
Not quite. I’m not really into PvP, but from what I’ve heard some people made it into legendary divisions with a free account, which means no elite specializations.
Yes, in general elite specs are stronger than the base class. Anet never denied it, they always meant elite specs to be superior to regular ones (guess why they’re called elite). From what I’ve understood, future elite specs should be on par with the current ones, so there’ll be no more power creep once you’ve got at least the first GW2 expansion and one elite spec unlocked. If anything, you can call it buy to win, because after you get HoT, none of the future elite specs should overshadow your current one. Definitely not pay to win.
Also, we don’t even know whether OP was talking about PvP, it’s kind of bold to just assume that. While the power creep is present in PvE just as much as in PvP, it’s not nearly as apparent and there are still ways how to play efficiently with your base class (even metabattle still lists non-HoT builds for PvE).
This is incorrect and you are missing the point being made.
The Tiny Yuno Sniper of Ebay [EBAY]
Honestly the time for caring about auto-leveling has passed in this game. We already had tomes and all this other stuff and resources and ways to get to 80 without having to do the story or ‘anything’ at all. People took pride in getting a character to 80 when the game was first launched and it continued that way till these items got introduced. Why? Cause it took time and effort and investment!
Honestly I think the game is only hurting itself by continuing to add ways to auto level 80. Why? It just makes a HUGE part of the game irrelevant straight off the bat. Any gear not exotic or higher and not lvl 80 is now irrelevant for the purposes of equipping/using. Doing the story or knowing what it is at all is largely irrelevant. Knowing anything about Gw2 is largely irrelevant. Knowing the zones or anything outside of key areas is irrelevant. Exploring the maps…has been irrelevant for a while with the handholding “go this way and explore here next” kitten ui tooltips. The game hurts itself into a shallow experience as an easy way to draw in new players with short attention spans. That’s pretty much all this boils down too. It is disconcerting but its been going on for so long and its already been in the core game for so long that its hard to get all of a sudden really angry about. It doesn’t surprise me at all this new thign exists. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if rare gear was handed out freely….or exotic gear…..or if all ur characters were automatically allowed to be lvl 80 with a press of a button at any point in ur playtime. It punishes the players that want to go through the gw2 experience….for sure. Especially since they know they could just click a button and activate god mode and just run through everything faster and more efficiently with 0 effort.
The community in this game is something else… Now we cry when we’re given free kitten.
Amazing.
Obviously this is a different segment of the community that is complaining now…
It would be like darksouls devs listening to people say the game needs to be made easy. And then people coming and complaining that the game is now too easy! Obviously they are not gonna be the same people who wanted it to be made easy in the first place.
The Tiny Yuno Sniper of Ebay [EBAY]
They are letting us decide if we like the Desert bl now before they commit to replacing it with Alpine bl. I think this way more people will realize that there is actually a poll and participate in it.
WHERE ARE THESE POLLS?!?!??!
There was a dev post about having taken a poll on whether to change back to alpine and it saying yes so we are gonna go back and change to it…and it linked to a generic whiny posting about why ‘someone’ wanted the alpine maps back. There was no polling or asking of opinion in this post…it was just something posting “I WANT THIS TO BE CONSTRUCTIVE AND I WANT MY OPINION TO BE CONSTRUCTIVE AND THIS IS A CONSTRUCTIVE THREAD ONLY”. Just a generic “I want alpine back” post we’ve seen a million of in the forums, but now with the word “constructive” thrown all over the place. And the replies to this thread were just generic ones like all the other threads before it. And apparently this constituted a vote or poll of some kind and yet nothing of the sort happened in that thread. There were other threads in the past with actual links to polls (biased polls no doubt) but at least these presented some form of actual polling!
Since this thread might constituted a ‘poll’ in the future given the precedent…let me say that I like the DBL. The changes to the waypoints is HUGE and was a long time coming. They opened the map up more which I kinda like. They made it very very difficult to die to lava or falling (I still randomly slid 5 meters across a platform I jumped onto… down a cliff) and pve things in general now which I DON’t like (it’s alot of unnecessary handholding at the expense of gameplay and tactics). Overalll though the waypoint changes make everything insanely better on these maps. Having 3 of them all the time is too much imo…..having 3 alpine all the time was also too much though. DBL is a very good map and they finally made it playable with the waypoint changes….I hope everyone gives it a proper chance now it is insanely fun when people do play on it.

I will never buy the expansion. No matter what
Me neither. This game got kittened hard in Jun 2015. After that it was obvious they were gonna grab us by the balls to suck our money.
HoT isn’t worth the price tag. And the business practices used are not helping to change my opinion. We already paid and had access to wvsw and fotm and all these other zones and things….and now they modify the existing content to make it so we need to pay to do things we used to be able to. No…..just no that’s not cool. Provide content worth buying and we will buy it. Its 3-4 pve maps….a new pvp mode called conquest….raids…a new profession….and specializations to open a new traitline for each class. That’s all the expansion is, and it doesn’t appeal to me. I ain’t changing my mind just cause you put up barriers on all the pre-existing game content to try and force it down our throats. I’d sooner quit the game.
GvG is now the arena in guild halls….requires Hot. Fotm requires more agony resistance requiring attuned equipment….requires Hot. I could go on forever listing stuff like this…
It honestly wouldn’t surprise me if they changed things again and required HoT to use all siege weapons….or all superior siege weapons. I am sincerely surprised that guild siege weapons haven’t been made HoT only usage.
If I could pick and choose what I was buying…I would buy some stuff I really would. I would pay a bit so I could do everything in wvsw that a HoT user can. i would pay a bit for some of the profession mastery traits. I would pay a bit to use the guild arena. I wouldn’t pay 50$ for this content alone though nor should I do so…and yet that’s exactly what the game is trying to make all of us do.

Will look into this. Was noticing large decrease in power and damage while playing with signet of might. As well as inconsistent sustain at times, notably when I had to swap abilities.
The Tiny Yuno Sniper of Ebay [EBAY]
The sooner it procs the sooner its back of CD. This means more endure pain uptime overall.
I agree. It’s a good change, but didn’t go further enough IMO. Hitting the 50% threshold means that as a warrior, I have to sit back and get hit that often? Doesn’t match the berserker theme. I’d rather it proc at 75% or higher, around 85-90% would be ideal.
Go more glass cannon, problem solved. If you find it that hard to lose more than 10% of your hp you should be running scholar runes with full zerk and power buffs.
The Tiny Yuno Sniper of Ebay [EBAY]
We all knew thsi was coming. I don’t see the point in crying about it. Personally i thought Gunflame was stupidly overpowered for one skill. It was a gimick that got popular for lack of any other options. . Be thankful you now have some sustain
We still needed it as a role in zerg fights. I expected it to be gone completely once we got more roles in zerg fights to replace it. Instead we didn’t get any new roles and gunflame was been effectively removed. The changes to gunflame came premature to say the least.
The Tiny Yuno Sniper of Ebay [EBAY]
I’m fine with the change and think it was made this way to synergize with the new adrenaline health. IF you have defy and endure pain in ur build: you won’t feel pressured into using the endure pain early in a fight. I mean let’s be honest here most of us use healing signet….if you are lowered to under 50% of your health early in a fight you are at a HUGe disadvantage. This is why I used to proc my endure pain early in a fight to make sure that doesn’t happen and I have time to get some hits in to use my other abilities to allow myself the comeback should I fall to that point. The 25% defy pain was reallly just a fallback for me. WHen it procs I retreat generally no questions asked….very unlikely I can hold a fight if things got to that point (outside of finishing a fight).
That probably made little sense, but presently I don’t have to worry about getting too low in health now! I fight normally…..then when i get to 50% the defy pain procs and I have time to use my new sustain to get back up to health numbers! And all the time this happens I have my endure pain on standby as a fallback. I’m happy with this change. People using defiant stance or to the limit as their heal….will NOT be happy with this change. For traditional warrior build I believe it is a buff.
plus it willl be bettter against daredevils and other burst enemies. Especially since the old defy pain didn’t always proc at 25% depending on whether u got bursted. having it prov at 50% is better than having it proc at 0%. The thing where defy pain and endure pain DONT stack though….I didn’t know about that, and I can see it being an issue but its one we can learn to try to avoid..
Also alot of abilities give extra damage against enemies below 50% hp….so I see this as a further plus for the new defy pain.
The Tiny Yuno Sniper of Ebay [EBAY]
I do, however, have one MAJOR objection to the changes. While helpful, most of the biggest buffs were applied to the defense traitline. We were already pressured into taking that line if we wanted any ability to survive at all, this only compounds the problem. Future adjustments to warrior should focus on spreading effectiveness to our other lines to give people more options instead of locking us into the same 2-3 specializations.
This right here my friend. This is the stuff we’ve wanted this patch and last major patch (when healing signet got buffed). They seem hesitant to touch warrior traitlines though, outside of tinkering the stats of a couple of the individuals abilities.
The Tiny Yuno Sniper of Ebay [EBAY]
Ughhhhh Defense Specialization – Last stand:
This doesn’t make sense. For my purposes its the same as it was before the changes to stability. Except now I don’t get vigor when using stances……? You aren’t helping my defense or survivability AT ALLL with this change. This wasn’t even in the notes……bug? SHould I make a bug report!?!!?!?
EDIT: FALSE ALARM! it’s just not listed on the ui anymore or in the hero tab anymore (they forgot to relist it I guess), but u still get vigor ingame.
I’M HAPPY NOW. This is a buff to my builds overall. And it allows for a few more options. I can’t be unhappy with the changes. But I am still disheartened that they nerfed gunflame (I can’t use it but it was sorta needed as an option) and didn’t address hammer or other stuff in our builds like specialization lines and what not.

“Fixed a bug in which siege weapons that applied condition damage were scaling based on the player’s condition damage.”
YA! Now Who’s laughing?
Posted a discussion late last year on reddit about how it was unfair for condition users to be more effective on siege weapons than power users. All I got was “you don’t understand anything about this gamemode” “Condition users need to be better on siege” posts. Revenge is sweet. Apparently the developers agree with me, and YOU are the ones who don’t know anything about the gamemode!
REFLECT ON YOUR INEPTITUDE.
The Tiny Yuno Sniper of Ebay [EBAY]
I don’t think I have to explain why. The major problem is the gamemode is so friendly to large karma trains. People who WANT to play the gamemode as intended and fight against a larger force like this NEEd the ability to lessen enemy numbers rather than enemy supply.
Honestly the whole mode really needs to be redone imo. It’s just a mindless karma train like silverwaste shovel farming. Due mainly to downed state existing and all the kitten kiting and survivability options available while in it. One simple and yet major thing to Do that can help fix this is to negate the ability to rez dead players. Rezing dead players needs to go…..it makes it impossible for smaller groups to defeat or frustrate larger zergs. Thieves, gankers, and havoc squads would LOVE it if harrassing a larger zerg had real payoff for them. At present, if they snipe a portion of an enemy force they HAVE to leave by the time the zerg reacts. When they leave though all their kills are resurrected in the course of seconds. How fun would that be to be able to pick pick off stragglers and attack the tail of zerg with guerilla tactics? It would give smaller guilds a real purpose in the mode. It would give roamers a real purpose in the mode. It would make everything so much better for the gamemode. It would give death and killing someone MORE meaning which is something that is drastically needed for this mode to survive.
Please explain why this WOULDn’t be good for the gamemode? If you want rezing to be left in some wvsw then leave it on eotm…that’s what eotm is, a training ground for wvsw and also a fight club area with no real objective outside of running around fighting wave after wave of enemies.
I’m honestly surprised players can’t resurrect themselves with the click of a button. Would that surprise any of you if you had the option after dying to resurrect yourself over the course of 30 seconds if not inside an objective? It wouldn’t surprise me…and more importantly it wouldn’t make much of a difference in the current gamemode.
I can’t imagine the top tiers really care either way since there are always ‘people’ (enemies and foe) in an area to make rezing people in key areas difficult and undesirable. This isn’t reflective of the majority of wvsw though, and the inability to rez shouldn’t really bother you guys at all anyways.

I think one of the reason roaming isn’t as kitten as it used to be is because of how much supply it takes to build guild catapults. First of all you have to spend guild commendations and gold to buy guild catapults and I think it takes 40 supplies to build one when back in the days it was just 20. My point is the low supply cost to build guild catapult was major part of roaming. One person alone was able to get one catapult up and flip a tower or do some havoc by damaging and preparing the keep walls for the main zerg. I don’t see that happening much anymore. In my opinion if guild catapults take 20 or 25 supplies to build that would just make roaming more fun and also havocing. That’s one reason a lot of people quit WvW I believe.
Then there would be more ways for people to influence the supply chains. How ridiculous would it be to have a zerg at your doorstep with infinite supply on them? It’s a blob that can’t be killed AND it can’t be frustrated or detoured…..
I’m not against what you are proposing but major changes would be needed to make it work..maybe it would be welcome changes though. I would have liked siege to be something you gain only from playing wvsw and accomplishing goals in the gamemode. When it is cash based everyone has infinite number of siege weapons and the destruction of one has no bearing on the attacker outside of the supplies they have onhand.

Did anyone else follow the link he posted about “the community voting to bring alpine bl back”? It led to some obscure forum reply from a dev on what would otherwise be just another pointless wvsw thread. There was no ‘vote’. Bullkittens……
The Tiny Yuno Sniper of Ebay [EBAY]
What are you all talking about? There are at least 18 viable builds for you to play! 18 isn’t a large enough number?
2 viable meta build per class. and 9 CLASSES = 18 builds to choose from for wvsw ALONE!
What we really need is a new set of changeable trait specs called “class change”. That allow you to choose from 1 of the 9 available classes and switch to it ‘on the fly’. Problem solved!
The Tiny Yuno Sniper of Ebay [EBAY]
No there wouldn’t be any rules against it, cause it’s a ridiculous thing to try and police. If enough people on the borderlands do it then its just reflective of the rewards being bad for trying to win and/or get points for your bl.
The Tiny Yuno Sniper of Ebay [EBAY]
With Alpine from what I remember I thought pretty much everything from the keeps Northward was fine and lovely. Everything South of the keeps was annoying and repetitive. Some parts of the SE tower were really the only exception, it had a nice little tunnel and some cool little high rised areas. The npc camps and ruins in the S were some of the worst parts….i would remove these things completely.
The Tiny Yuno Sniper of Ebay [EBAY]
Too vulnerable to range/kiting for me. Would definitely swap runes from strength to something tankier. Looks fun for dealing with melee enemies or doing an ambush.
The Tiny Yuno Sniper of Ebay [EBAY]
About the vulnerability … def not true.. I am currently testing sundering leap because of the 10% dmg increase boost.
Comparing a skill like sundering leap with Gs 1 doesn’t make sense. Compare the time you have to take to get 10 stacks of vulnerability with your gs 1 to clicking a button and getting it automatically for 6 seconds…. You can’t even maintain 10 stacks with base greatsword 1. I think the max was 6-7 if you just stand there whacking something for 15 seconds. Obviously 10% dmg increases are a big deal….5% damage increases are a big deal. Rangers click a single button and shoot a decent damage attack that gives 10 stacks of vulnerability straight off the bat…ITS KIND OF A BIG DEAL if you dont’ clear it while turkey shoot on you. If you are able to hit someone and get 10 stacks of vulnerability even for 1 second with a base state greatsword with no trait or ability augment then you must be the greatest warrior of all time. Personally my opponents don’t stand there letting me whack them, landing every hit, for 20 seconds…and i definitely can’t hit 10 stacks even if they did unless I have ALOT of quickness and/or a vulnerability sigil….which would be stupid for anything other than group situations cause you have sigil of force and sigil of night already to choose from.

These few days since reset has been a battle for the ages, full of hot blooded men of war, crashing into one another, sword striking on metal, shields slamming into shields, hammers swinging left and right.
OHHHH is this where all the warriors who play wvsw went?
None of this stuff has anything to do with any other classes in the game afterall!
The Tiny Yuno Sniper of Ebay [EBAY]
So I presented this idea on this forum post https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/wuv/t2-desert-camps/page/2#post6093611 I know i am not the first one to say this but DBL should really be turned into an EBG because of all that open space in the middle of the map. Since the devs disabled oasis I think they should just put a big castle like smh there and just change the lay out of the map a bit like earth on the top of the map, fire keep bottom left and air on bottom right. Also beside having shrines give buffs I think the tower itself should give buffs that might make combat more interesting. The current place where fire keep and air keep are should ne just open space for groups to have an open field fights without getting siege humped from towers or keep. More suggestions are welcome!!!
Somethin like that or maybe they just keep the map as is but just have 1 of them. And also change the waypoints so anyone can have a waypoint in a keep if its upgraded enough (fortified). Basically make it a true musical chairs map…where any team can truly own any keep. How the starting positions are determined is a point of debate. you can either have the map reset every 24-48 hours and each team move to a different wp each time so they each experience one of the 3 base spawns. Another option is making the middle of the map a spawn point. Another option is making it a warzone type mode where respawns are changed so people have to wait…..then every couple minutes you get an ‘airdrop’ of soldiers to somewhere on the map. Hey thats a great idea to include gliders into wvsw lol. To enter the map you wait in an airship and every few minutes you get a ‘drop’…and everyone spawns in the air and glides down to the ground.

Hey guys my build is GS / Axe and shield. Trying to come up with a nice combination in my build but i always find myself slave of discipline just because of the warrior`s sprint trait. Without this trait I feel so freaking annoyed. Tried using war horn but the movement speed buff last only for 10 secs lol. How do u guys manage to walk around without the discipline trait?
Warhorn is terribad. Pretty much what everyone else said. Just maintain swiftness somehow while fighting and you are fine. I mean the real problem is that it allows movement skills to break immobilize…which is something that is hard to live without when running all melee Then no fasthands makes ur melee only build trash as well. I mean I would argue that fasthands and movement skills breaking immobilize are what really keep you a sslave to disc.
The Tiny Yuno Sniper of Ebay [EBAY]
1. If wielding 2 weapons, give warriors the ability to choose the burst skill among the 2 weapons wielded. So if you have a MH sword and OH axe…..give the option to use the axe burst as ur F1 instead of the Sword default burst. Honestly I don’t see why this wasn’t always an option…..some thoughts it might be OP when warrior had its place in the meta I’m assuming. No reason not to do it now then. Gives more build options and identity, and helps address the ‘condition vs power’ identity crisis with the weapon sets. I mean mh mace and oh sword with immobilize as ur burst….would that not make for an interesting build option for condition users especially since they lack blocks? Also makes warriors less easy to read.
2. I don’t get why Gs is limited to hitting only 1-3 enemies with it’s attacks, the exception being the F1 can hit 5 enemies. In a realistic sense it doesn’t make any intuitive sense that a small sword or axe hits the same number of enemies that a giant chunk of metal does you swing with 2 hands. That said…this is gw and I understand the balancing mechanics at play here to make everything fit, and how intuitive concepts got shoved under the table.
Proposal: I would like Gs 1 to hit more than 3 enemies. Gs 1 is weak compared to axe 1….and in general is the worst part of the weapon set by far. It is a slow swing compared to sword or axe and the dmg is skimpy. Only thing it does is give vulnerability….but most warriors don’t care bout this for anything other than pve settings. I mean why can this not hit 4 enemies by default? Or what about on the 2nd or 3rd swing it hits 4-5 people like hammer does? The rest of the abilities 2-5 can hit the number of enemies they already do since the swings are more narrow (although personally i would like arcing slice gs f1 to hit more than 5 enemies). If an issue is dmg output being too high, then why not make the extra number of enemies the Gs hits be ‘glancing’ blows? In the age of aoe and all this press a button and hit 5 enemies in a large area…I don’t see why this would be such a bad thing for the weapon set. Especially when/if we are only talking about changing Gs1 to do this. I mean this is just one of those things I would think would be addressed in the core of the weapon: i.e. it should by default hit more people than an axe or sword swing…if there are problems with that then other things should be changed on the weapon (longer cd, less dmg, slower…..whatever).
Those are my thoughts. I swing a giant 2 handed sword around and my weapon set, except for a single ability on long cd, can only hit as many people as an axe or smaller 1 handed sword’s weapon set…..it raises questions! I go and play any other game and they make my giant sword do what a giant sword does….hit alot of people.

I have noticed more and more that zergs chase me across half of a map whenever I’m roaming I have raven gotten few offensive whispers from enemy that I’m playing wvw wrong …… what has happened?
I think you overestimate the intent of your enemy. Or perhaps you wish to open an avenue of discussion on a topic that interests you to an unfair degree.
Regardless I will answer your question: The community has become less concerned with winning and bolstering borderland pride. Rather, it has become more interested in the rewards to be offered from WvsW. The act of taking bolsters more pride than the act of defending, since the rewards are greater and the recognition is more apparent. Now the question becomes why would people seek reward and recognition all of a sudden…it is because they feel like the game has abandoned them and the mode ahs slipped into chaos. People play for wvsw only rewards and karma. People play for recognition. Both these things are currently only achieved through the act of taking. It is natural then that these people form a karma train together. Those not conforming to either ideal are….not welcome to a karma train system. Why is that? They disrupt the train. You are disrupting the playstyle of a large group of people. And that is the answer to the question you pose, an answer I am sure you already know. You are an outsider on your server. What is more natural than a mob of people going out of their way to harass such a person?
The Tiny Yuno Sniper of Ebay [EBAY]
That is….actually very good looking. I’m assuming incombat your party is granting you fury and other crit rate increases. You might wanna switch out “sigil of force” on the Gs for something different though. If you are lasting a long-time maybe an on-kill stack sigil (bloodlust or mbe perception if ur party doesn’t help with crit rate). Or something like sigil of leeching if you want more sustain or uptime before you need to use a healing ability or weaponswap/adrenalineuse to clear ur conditions. Speaking of which you could use sigil of cleansing as well if you really want to never worry about conditions again. Hydromancy is also an option that would likely (depending on ur playstyle) synergize well with the hammer.
And I recommend a night-time gear swap. So if you can, craft a separate hammer and/or gs you can swap in at night. In this case you could put sigil of night on ur hammer (replacing superior sigil of impact) and/or Gs (replacing force). No real reason not to put it on both at night, lets you go ham when the sun goes down.
Edit:
And i agree with infusion your hp pool is rather low. In layman’s terms it means you have less room for error with this build. I wouldn’t say you need to have more hp….I would just say that this isn’t a casual friendly build. Its combative and aggressive, you can’t laze around when fighting you gotta go 100% all the time. You have to be ‘on the ball’ when dealing with heavy condition users, your clears are based on your combat skills (weapon swap/using ur burst) rather than just pressing a weapon at any time to proc berserker stance/resistance. If you want to have a less punishing variant then increase your hp pool and decrease your armour pool, otherwise prepare to play and win like a warrior should!
You might consider, if you haven’t already, trying out healing signet with this build instead. It really depends on the kind of party you have…..but healing signet ‘might’ work better than defiant stance does. Or defiant stance might work better than healing signet does….its really dependent on your party so its worth trying both out and deciding.

You aren’t enjoying HERO MODE? Maybe you aren’t HEROIC enough.

It’s a really weird time for Est players. Most guild start running at 9pm est. Its just an hour of not being able to do anything to help your bl. If it helps the other timezones out enough I don’t really care though…its not a huge deal to wait a bit.
The Tiny Yuno Sniper of Ebay [EBAY]
Reading the topic… “bad precursors”…. you are aware that there are thousands of players that have played thousands of hours each and have never ever (and probably never will) see a precursor drop and would go completly nuts if they got what you got? And you come to the forums in all seriousness and complain about a “bad precursor” drop? I’m speechless.
This. Never ever found one to date.
The Tiny Yuno Sniper of Ebay [EBAY]
It’s a case of most people don’t bother listing certain items, or not enough of them are in existence or being picked up by players. Others see this item with only 1-10 or so sell orders….buy them out and then pick the price to a ridiculous number that nobody would ever buy except by grievous error. I mean look at even good items and how they are priced…if you scroll down enough to the first few listings they are ridiculous numbers. The same is said for many newer items from HoT like the reclaimed weapon sets…as more people got them as drops the more got listed and the more the price came down a huge amount.
There are plenty of useless worthless things you can sell on the TP that nobody buys or sells….people in their infinite wisdom then just list it on the TP (since they are the only listing) at some stupidly high price hoping some1 will fall for it and buy it. I find it annoying since if I’m looking for special skins ill look at the most to least expensive….getting useless results of greens and blues that you would salvage with a basic kit is annoying. It’s also possibly gold sellers are using them to distribute their product under the radar. The Tp was setup to avoid nitpicking through orders and overpaying for items to avoid that….but when the base sell price is high enough it is an easy way to distribute gold.

It had snow and it had a wp system that wasn’t stupid and broken. Other than that it wasn’t anything special…..it was pretty much just a flat fighting field with a giant lake nobody ever wanted to go near….that’s why we wanted a new map to begin with lol.

Hi I wanted to know what the food feast object types were and if i missed any.
There seems to be:
-cake
-giant ham on a plate
-tray of stuff (brownies and sweets looks like..on a fountain type foundation)
-picnic basket
-round bowl with green vegetables
-Giant soup pot
Are there just those 6 or am I missing any? I find it kind of confusing since the pictures might be shared but the object type might be completely different, and the ’tray’vs’giantvswhatever prefix doesn’t give the type of object you would think.

With tomes of knowledge and the other upgrades from which you can auto level a character….I don’t see why anyone would have a problem with a paid “advance to level 80” item (at this point in the game). It used to be a source of pride and dedication to have a lvl 80 character in this game….that went away when tomes and all that other crudt was introduced. Pretty much anyone can, on a whim, decide to create a new character and get it to level 80 with exotic gear running within 20 minutes now.
