The personal story is very well done to me, its almost a mini movie.
But there a problem to me(my main cha). Who is Tybalt?
Myself as player i of couse knew Tybalt, but my cha is a vigil and his mentor died was Warmaster Forgal… is Tybalt also died too? That makes me wonder…
I think she should seeing her dead mother make more sense especially she just knew her father is responsible for her mother’s death.
I think the event only appear at night according to dufty, i just get to the lumber camp at night and get it done.
We can mix and match armor for a reason, you can switch out the “sexy” part of the armor for something you like.
I suggest the future armor design try to keep similar looks for both male and female. Create more revealing male armor instead… this is what we are actually lacking.
i play the game to play hero, killing bandits, killing dragons, killing monsters, very hero.
Roaming in wvw, got killed by a better player or by a zerg, not so heroic, running in zerg winning a 10vs1 fight, not so heroic; losing a pvp match, not so heoic.
I have played wvw daily for 1 year but avoid fighting any player until rank 55, if i wasn’t being ambushed by a player and won that duel, i may still avoid any pvp fight today. Now i am rank 389 and play wvw most of my time.
Is it a bug?
I thought it was my mistake and costed me death twice in wvw. Can’t go shroud in the middle of a fight is dead or live situation.
You can apply these skins directly in wardrobe without spending transmulate charge. So it is safe to remove them.
I don’t have enough mastery points to advance either, i have all possible mastery line filled 100% and this it is it, i just let the bar sit there.
Yes please, let it happens in GW3, but before that, can we have like 4 more elite spec please, thank you!
Why do ranger pets always stay juvenile, no matter how many years you’ve had them?

It is because no matter how well you’ve played your pet will keep dying and replaced by another new juvenile one…
Actually, i think Anet can add new weapon along with elite spec “on top” of existing weapon. The method is “Class specific weapon skin”
For example, a great axe can be given to warrior as a new elite specific “staff skin”, any staff skin using these great axe skin can only be used by a warrior with the corresponding elite spec. Then all we need is 5~10 “great axe” staff skin…
Same idea applies, we can have “crossbow” rifle skin, “Halbert” staff skin, “Whip” sword skin etc.
I found that hard to find like minded players share the same time zone. Finally i found a guild that share similar time zone after world linking and i transferred server just to be with them.
My thing is giving a gift to a loved one who is a casual player and doesn’t have the time, patience and focus to craft to 500 in the short term.
I really don’t understand why ascended items are account bound or even any weapon/armor for that matter. If legendary weapons can be sold on the BL store then why can’t ascended? When doing discovery I’ve accidentally crafted weapons that were exotic and account bound. It wasn’t something I could use and I couldn’t sell it. I had no choice but to salvage it or it was just sit taking up space. I really don’t see any valid reason why crafted items should be account bound.
My thought about the year on a friends list is if they absolutely have to be account bound then time on the friends list could be used as a way to filter out gifts from black market sales of crafted items. Few if any black market sellers would have the patience to wait a year for a sell. I’ve never accidentally removed anyone from my friends list. Accidentally added yea (thanks LFG tool) but never removed.
You can’t gift your good friend an ascended weapon. Therefore i crafted a legendary to my best friend. Too bad i can’t stop him from leaving the game due to wife issues.
Precursor crafting is for the “Epicness” to whoever made the achievement. It is never meant to reduce the cost to acquire one but to reduce the RNG factor besides pulling from TP instead.
I think the wvw daily is about right, only SMC i think it should also count as KEEP daily.
The current daily system draw different game mode players out of their comfort zone for the daily income. I was a PvE only guy, on and off PvP with friends….
I am now a WvW player after months of doing daily in WvW, so i think the current daily system is about right.
My main just entered Bitterfrost for the first time couple hours ago, i must say the map is very well done.
The amount of CC and conditions require better player awareness, also bring some stun breaks. It quickly became one of my favorite map now.
The only thing I do in this game is PvE. I love fractals, raiding, and farming. If I PvP it’s in a daily room which I do not consider PvP. I haven’t even finished my non repeatable tracks in WvW for mystic clovers. However, I would love dueling in the game!
I don’t understand arguments where it’s already been talked about we can’t talk about it. People aren’t elephants, we will beat as many horses as we want if that’s how you see it. But it’s just plain shameful how unconstructive and bigoted this topic seems. So here’s my suggestions of how this can work with 0 chance of griefing from either side.
1. This is the biggest one. The option for dueling is by default set to not able to receive requests. This means you can’t argue spam, you have to enable it for that to be a possibility. If you’re going to argue against dueling please make an argument against this point first.
2. Absolutely no dueling in WvW or PvP. It makes no sense to duel there where the only possibilities are someone interfering / being seen as intentionally trying to hamper the other players by not helping in the current game mode.
3. Have dueling only available in cities and lobbies. This will prevent people from griefing maps that have hard metas by trying to make it a duel central map which I could see potentially happening. I could see it being ok in core tyria maps, but to start off with I think just cities and lobbies would be for the best.
And lastly my reason for wanting dueling. I just want something to watch while I jump around in my favorite cities. I’ve truly only seen a majority of good duelists. People who jump into map chat from duels are almost always reported. Everyone agrees that’s just not where that belongs. I also understand this games PvP is geared towards team style, but that argument is just moot because roaming in WvW is a thing. So I won’t be dueling, but I will fight for dueling since it’s a nice option.
There are many suggestions that make a specific place for dueling like major city, lionarch, personally i am not against it. What you suggested is very similar to guild arena, and all we need now is easy way to invite somebody to duel in guild hall.
You can’t pvp with your pve gear. Pvp in this game works with separate gear, and skill/trait stats. So, how would dueling work in pve?
Anet would have to implement a workaround for this, when you can just make a custom arena and duel whoever you want to duel.
Join a guild with guild hall and arena, communicate with the guild leader to add a dueler rank thats as low as a guest, invite anyone you want to duel to your dueler rank and duel in guild hall. You use your pve gear and build, kill that guy off guild after duel, easy.
It is still duel anyone you want to duel with pve gear and build, i have done that and have great fun dueling already, why not you?
I’m not really familiar with the ins and out of guild halls and the arenas but it was my understanding that all you need is to be partied up to enter someone else’s guild hall. Presumably once inside the arena is useable for them even if not a guildie?

Dueling is in PvE, guild hall is where you can find PvE dueling.
It use PvE gear and PvE build, find a guild with guild hall and arena, case closed.
IMO one of the below buff will be good enough.
• Reduce overall cast time from 3.5sec to 3sec or
• increase damage to stationed target 15% or
• finisher on last hit
I prefer Tome also work as a game currency.
Create a npc vendor the trade tome.
Pure suggestion below:
350 tome for 1 total makeup contact
250 tome for 1 hairstyle contact
50 tome for 1 laurel
25 tome for 1 transmute charge
etc

i missed the originally trait system that leveling is more fun than now.
Besides this, i like everything we have now.
Male greatsword swings (on a human at least) feel real awkward, especially the first swing. I tried out male Reaper today and by god, the auto chain is horrible.
Yea male human GS are terrible either stance and the first swing. I have no idea why somebody will swing the sword from left upper with that baseball bat stance. It is not somebody will do with slight weapon training.
Female gs stance ia fine on the other hand.
IMO Focus need a bit buff across all game mode.
Skill4 projectile speed increase
Skill5 cast time reduce to 3/4s and hit ups to 3 foes
I have a similar feeling about axe mainhand too, but i want to see axe become a more mobility tool.
I prefer:
Axe 2 add a short evade window along with a short distance jump back
Axe 3, remove projectile, change to a forward leap maybe 400 distance?
Just finish the arah story mode, you will get pvp and wvw reward track unlocked. It is easy to solo the story dungeon. Play the wvw reward track like how you’ve played in wvw for gift of battle.
You can solo all by yourself.
Sword will be good imo IF
Final thrust execute faster and dash forward a small distance.
Auto chain skill 3 also bleed or deal bonus damage to bleeding foe as now it is the worst skill within the chain.

I am really rarely reacting balance changes but this hit the roof for me.
So I have spent hundreds of gold’s to gear up my Rev JUST for raids. With this change you are ruining the whole raid balance and not just making it less fun for the players who actually likes playing Rev but you make it impossible now for them to find a group. The changes will not kill rev or mesmer, just giving more room to other classes, relax, it is not end of the day, not even close.
To create outfits requires far less work while they still sell at a good price. They are the types of items people by on a whim usually. I feel like most of us buy them just to hardly ever use them afterwards. Also, there are always new players picking them up because the low level gear doesn’t look too fancy.
Once again, are they like the high quality armor sets which allow you customize your character’s appearance with thousands of different combinations as well hundreds of dyes and goodies like the scarfs or special helmets? No, not even close.
I do not give a kitten if they shall add armor sets to the gem store only without any way to acquire them in-game as long as they are something high in detail, with lots of customization options and customized to fit all of the races. I’d pay 2000 gems if I feel like they are worth that price. Most outfits aren’t even worth 500 gems to me.We seem to forget about the option to trade gold for gems, also. Armor sets would still only (considering how easy it is to farm gold now) cost you something like 300-350g even at a high price of 1000 gems.
I for one like the option to pick my way of playing and farming gold to earn an armor set I love much more than having to do collections or challenges I do not enjoy to acquire a set I really want. Might be just me, though.

I have been working hard on ember bay achievement for the dragon shoulder skin for days, this reminds me how i prefer the gem store armor set at launch. Whenever we have gem store update, the first thing i do is to browse black lion to check whether there are new armor set available….
This excitement has far gone along with the announcement where only outfit will be on gem store. I have purchase far less of gem with cash since then.
I don’t see any problem with gem store armor skin seriously. I enjoy both in game armor skin reward tied with achievement like the dragon shoulder / helmet, along with gem store armor at the same time.
Did you click the “potion of wvw reward” link you provided? It said it is 250 points clearly.
Also according to my experience, 2 potions of wvw reward will move 500 exp forward.
Actually i like both map, i prefer ember bay slightly more. The way repeatable heart now is a nice, especially you can get ascended gear with map currency. It is soloable, filled with a lot of events and less hardcore like HoT map. I like this direction, it is the right direction.

I dont play wvw except for mapping before i’ve crafted my sunrise, by that time wvw was required for gift of exploration. I use wvw for daily after dersert borderland was introduced. I avoid all kind of fighting involve players until rank 55.
You know what? I almost only play wvw now, i even joined a wvw guild. You never know…
I did spent over $250 for gem since launch. I have crafted 3 legendaries overall, but i never covert gem to gold to buy a single legendary.
I will say the crafting process is a game play experience to me. How to plan my materials use, laurel gain etc. I suggest make a plan to the crafting, it felt great when you finally craft one.
I actually agree that all classes should have way to deal with stealth.
All melee attack should have 33% chance to reveal by successful hit with a 15 sec CD baseline to every classes. You can feel it with a swing that hit something or hit air.
Then please keep AB farm, nothing to see here.
I hated wvw before, i hated being zerg down.
Since the daily changed, i have to go wvw for fast dailies. I have earned some wvw ranking, i never won any 1v1 before rank 60.
But now i am rank 188, and i have joined a wvw guild and i even transfered to a lower populated server to play with them. I play wvw now.
I will never found out i love wvw if i wasn’t forced to play it for dailies.
I played other mmo with trinity.
GW2 is where i belong because:
No trinity
Warrior don’t suck badly
No pvp elements in pve, individual gathering node
no gear differences pvp mode
Level downscaling
No sub
No general definition of pay2win
No kill steal
Dynamic event
Different well created races
WvW
Guild and guildmates

It is to save the work load spent on creating stow/unstow animation. All game company did that to save resouces.
Maybe just add a small button : sort
Play time, last login, highest lv etc

I wish the dev can create this skin as an alternative wardrobe unlock for Eternity owner.
i rather spend transmute charge for it to replace the current Eternity.
This way all Eternity owner got 2 choices to either keep the existing skin or use the new skin.

Lost nothing, it was always my sleeping time unless i can’t sleep, lucky me.
One thing i can tell you, is that wvw players havent the same mentality of pvers grinders, so we don’t give a kitten about reward tracks XD, we play for fights and we have fun fighting, our fun is not coming from opening the loot but from killing the opponents.
That’s why people always cried about how rewards were bad and how EotM was much more rewarding?
That doesn’t mean ppl play for rewards, it means they see the difference between the two an common sense would dictate that reward/loot progression should be close to equal. It’s the principle more then anything I would think.
But this person said we don’t care about rewards, then why would we complain when the rewarding is poor? That whole “WvW players don’t care about rewards” thing is a lie.
Sure, we don’t want to turn WvW in EotM 2.0 by overflooding it with rewards, but I’m thankful for the reward tracks as they now increased the poor income I have from playing mostly WvW. That mean less time on PvE and more time in the game mode I want to play.
I think most of us were complaining because we’d actually lose gold playing WvW, especially those of us that were constantly upgrading things. Even now with the reward tracks I’m lucky if I break even.
Why do you ever set foot in wvw then?
It is because you want your gift of battle, then you need to accept what wvw is. Is losing gold for what 10 hours of game really matter that much for the sake of finishing your shiny legendary?
Anet should create legendary in 2 steps:
1) make gen 2 legendary using gen 1 crafting method since launch, precursor could be looted from dead foe, chest etc, could be account bound if you so wanted.
2) add precursor crafting like gen 1 legendary as a 2nd step, could be released along with 2nd expansion.
Delivery us the gen 2 legendary and skip all the precursor crafting until they are ready.
This is what i preferred.
I’ve always hating tanking. Always. Tanking, to me, is the worst thing that’s happened to the MMO genre.
I mean the typical tank and spank scenario is you have a tank, who draws all the aggro and stands there, while being healed by a healer, while everyone else takes it down. What part of this is not completely contrived.
I’m sure Lord of the Rings would have been a much better book if Boromir stood there tanking while Gandalf healed him, and no one was actually in any danger.
Tanking is ludicrous. It’s a mechanic that should not even exist. Yes, it’s lovely to not be able to die. But you know, that sort of defeats the whole purpose of playing a game in which you can die.
This is what my feel after my first mmo’s dungeon run that require a tank and healer. And it is the reason that driven me away. GW2 is what i preferred, as long as tanking is no necessary.
Mystic forge a precursor, you need to be rich, very rich.
Not really. The daily gives 2g for a brief effort, the loot you gather or accumulate while doing it can easily give you a couple more gold, enough to buy eight rare greatswords or whatever for an hour or two of “work.” That’s two Forge attempts per day and a bonus every other day as you Forge the output of those four attempts.
If you stop looking for “get rich quick” then it’s not that hard to achieve your goals.
If OP can take it slow, why not just gather daily 2g and sell everything to get gold. Thinking of forge a precursor for sell is expecting a get rich quick method. I am trying to warn a fellow player not to gamble and end up losing gold.
I still remember almost every week we got ranting post about players that failed to forge a precursor for months and end up losing more gold than buying one from forge. And there are video on youtube that a player flushed hundreds of exotic greatsword without endup losing everything.
Thats why we have precursor crafting now.
