It is pretty interesting, indeed. Quaggans might look like childish balls of cuteness (and fat), but they actually have a rich culture and very interesting traditions. I would like to see more of them, and I’m not talking about backpacks, hats and minis, I am talking about lore.

Indeed, it does. Most armor sets and town clothes look like they were designed for humans only. I understand that it is the most popular race, but hey, the game has four other playable races for a reason.

I agree with your post as a whole, and I really want the Shaman’s clothes for norns and leafy clothes for Sylvari.

Evon didn’t attack first (no, it is not Han vs Greedo all over again). The story makes it clear that it was a kill or die situation. She attacked him, he killed her.
If anything, that stupid Legionnaire was the backstabbing cat, since she attacked a member of her own warband for disagreeing with her and presenting a better strategy.

Just a few buffs have a graphical effect (i.e. swiftness). If it is impossible to disable the graphic for Aegis completely because then people won’t get a warning that their next attack will be blocked, maybe change it into something else? Something more discreet, maybe?

Can’t a Mesmer help you? The only part where you actually have to jump is the one where you have to use the wind aspect skill, Assisted Leap. If you have problems with latency, you might need help when using the lightning aspect skill too, though.

I agree. Some people seem to think that the game was made for them and that they are the center of the whole universe, and by saying “I WILL STOP PLAYING” they will actually cause some impact and make the company rethink their decisions. Of course, a Dev told us to keep saying that we want Cantha back (politely, of course) because then maybe someday Cantha will be back.

About Zhaitan, yes, he blocked off Cantha, I believe it was on the rise of Orr However, Zhaitan is dead already(LS-wise), so the only reason for not starting sending ships to Cantha and back that I can see is Bubbles and his minions.

Why does everyone go on about Cantha and Asian influences so much? What’s the big deal? The game is mainly European in theme. Nothing unique, but how would adding stereotypical Asian themes to the game improve it? Should it matter if something is Eastern versus Western? Isn’t the only thing that matters whether the content is satisfying or not?

To me, the game simply feels incomplete without Cantha (and Elona, of course, but I guess we are getting Elona someday, but maybe not Cantha).
It is simply that Cantha was part of the world in GW1, and in GW2 it is not, and maybe it never will. It is a bit ridiculous to wipe out an entire human nation like that.
Lore-wise, we simply lost contact with Cantha. This contact should be reestablished once the sea dragon is defeated, IMO.
I wouldn’t mind not having Cantha right now in the game if there was any hope that it would be brought back at all, but every time a Dev talk about Cantha it seems pretty unlikely that it will return.
Also, I want Cantha back for roleplaying reasons. I have a canthan character that used to live in the Canthan District before the Great Collapse, but since a Dev said that there was never a Canthan District in DR despite the npcs that say that there was, I don’t know what to do with this character anymore.

On topic: I don’t mind if Labyrinthine Cliffs is removed, as long as it returns soon.

That would make sense. I wonder if Eir will be there too. I really want to see Braham and Eir becoming closer to each other. Last time I spoke to Braham, he said Eir was trying to talk to him (she sent him a letter or something) but he didn’t want to talk to her. It seems that she is only good enough for him to use her name, but for nothing else. I mean, he is Braham Eirson, but he could have picked for himself his beloved father’s name instead and be Braham Borjesson, but noooo, he picked the dragon hunter that he barely knew, probably because of glory and stuff, and now he refuses to talk to her. Eir deserves better, IMO.

I’m also hoping for Rytlock to be there and to be in good terms with Eir despite the fact that she never told him she had a son. I mean, he thought Braham was lying and “underestimating his relationship with Eir”, so I don’t think he would be happy to know that the boy was telling the truth and Eir was the one hiding her personal life from him. Also, it would be a bonus if Rox was by Rytlock’s side, sporting her new surname. I really hope that he accepted her in the Stone warband already.

I wish, but I don’t think she is going to die. It would be interesting, of course, mainly because of Logan. We need her for the treaty between charr and human, though. Her death would be a tragedy for the newly found peace between them, and she has no heirs (that we know of, but I guess they could always go with an Eir-Braham kind of thing).

The attack of the giant rats that the Shining Blade guards say that do not live in the sewers. The Queen’s dogs know nothing about sewers, giant rats and I bet they also know nothing about mutant ninja turtles that happen to also be teenagers and have the names of famous artists (It is the former Art District, after all).

I don’t think it goes against the promise of “supporting all game styles” at all.
I mean, it’s like hating dungeons and wanting the achievements related to them. There are achievements for all kinds of player, and that’s what “supporting all game styles” mean, but if you want them all because you want to be a leaderboard completionist, then you must do things that you do not particularly enjoy. Being on the top of the leaderboards means participating on every aspect of the game, and in my opinion, that’s how it should be.

Anet probably do not want the game to be focused on farming. I think it is a bit late for that. I mean, people like me (I started farming way too late) will now have a hard time catching up with the prices on the TP. I mean, at this point, a lot of people have tons of gold due to farming, so I don’t think the prices will drop to follow the lower amount of gold getting in the game for a long time. Of course, I know nothing about economy, and maybe the prices will drop sooner than I think. Either way, I guess I’m not buying Infinite Light anytime soon xD
What I’m saying is that the change is good, but I wish it had come sooner (WAY sooner).

Hah, and I had just started farming CoF P1 like a week ago. Not my cup of tea, but I have a tough time making gold by doing what I really like to do (that would be running around with a zerg in WvW).

You will be upleveled in the areas and instances of the event. Make sure that your gear is also lvl 35 so its stats will be upleveled correctly, with you. Despite the lack of traits, you shouldn’t have a lot of trouble participating on the living story.
A new chapter will start today, but I do not know if the previous chapter will end today or if the chapters will overlap.

It would be awesome if he just walked to Kiel in LA and said something like: “‘Your’ ship belongs to the Pact. Please, give it back”. Then she would be like “NUH-UH!” and he would be all like “This won’t end well. Commander, to me!” and we would be like “Ohoo, this is going to be good”.

I hope the next living story has another achievement in the EB jp. It was so much fun when we worked as a team to overcome those camping at the top. It feels so rewarding to finally get the achievement.

Thank you. This is why the kite is there. Some people like this type of play. Saying that no meta-achievement can include things player group B enjoys because Player Group A does not like them is selfish.

I too enjoyed getting the kite and the Aetherblade cache at the OS. However, it would be cool for everybody if the kite meta achievement required one less kite, so people would be able to pick one JP that they do not want to do (like the OS) and they would only have one less achievement instead of two. You know, like they did with the samples at Southsun Cove. Granted, people would still complain, but not being able to get two achievements is worse than not being able to get only one, right?
Also, removing LS content from WvW would not be fair for people that, like me, love it. I mean, ONE achievement requiring PvP while most of them are PvE related is not game breaking.

You do not need a guide. You use one because you want to.
When there is an achievement that I can’t figure out even after trying multiple times, I just ask around.
At the Aetherblades’ JP, I reached the top of the airship FOUR times before asking where the hell the chest was. I continued towards the top and fell for my death four times before asking around. It is a MMO, talk to people, ask for help. The guide is 100% optional when you actually give the LS a chance.

The way I see it, it is like when we wait for two zergs of the other two servers to kill each other and then attack the survivors. The server defending SMC could choose if they want to kill the dragon and to take the risk of losing the castle just after that or to build defensive siege and wait for the other servers to kill the dragon then kill the survivors. I think it would be interesting (even more if the players could still kill each other during the dragon fight, but if not, that would be ok too).

I usually spend most of my free time in WvW, and I think this suggestion is awesome. My game would probably crash during such an enourmous battle (three servers and a dragon), but it crashes already when the zergs fighting are too big, due to an error that seems to be caused by my Windows, so whatever.

I need four rapiers and three revolvers. Based on my lack of skins from previous events due to how unlucky I am, well, I can only hope they are sellable.

This thread got my curiosity spiked. I want to know more about the Thaumanova reactor, but I also want to see the fall of Abaddon… I don’t know who I should vote for anymore.

I don’t want to ever have to deal with Kiel again, unless if it is to take her ship away from her to give it back to the Pact.
If it wasn’t for the fractal, I would just vote for her so that she would be so busy with politics that I would never hear of her again.
Sadly, I won’t take the risk of never getting this fractal, so I’m voting for Evon. Oh, and I don’t like him either, though I can’t really explain why. Something just feels off about him.

Try using two daggers when playing solo and staff when doing group events.
I also like scepter/dagger and dagger/focus, maybe even scepter/focus if you need more defensive skills. Scepter/dagger is my favourite weapon setup for Elementalist but dagger/dagger is the most popular I think.
Take your time to try different styles and to find yours. I really love my Elementalist and I think that she is fine as she is.

Yeah, the baby quaggans at a jumping puzzle ressed me once. Trahearne, Braham, a merchant in WvW and Eir all ressed me at least once, too.
And actually Eir and Trahearne both ressed me while being hit by the enemies (and both died for that), so I think the npcs can randomly chose if they will help you or fight the enemies.

Magnus gave the Pact’s ship that the Aetherblades stole to Kiel insted of returning it to the Pact, too.
I wonder what Trahearne thinks of the fact that his best friend and second in command did nothing to stop it.

Hello, I like JPs too.

I understand that there are people that dislike them, and that’s why I try to help by giving portals to those who ask for them (when I get to the end of the puzzle with my mesmer, something that I can’t always do).
I am not such a good jumper and sometimes I have problems with latency, but some of the most beautiful places in the game are JPs, so it is worth it.

I wouldn’t mind if it was only for story mode dungeons, so I would be able to roleplay with one or two friends like we do in story instances of the personal story.
I don’t think we need it for the open world and we shouldn’t be able to use it in exploring modes of dungeons because of the rewards.
In PvP and WvW, never ever.

Just one last thing that bothers me about Kiel:
Her ship was stolen from the Pact.

Not that I would expect LA to give back stolen goods, since it is a pirate city, but come on, we are talking about the Pact, not abou any regular citizen.

I wonder what would Trahearne think of this. Some of his ships were stolen, one of them was given to Kiel and his right arm and best friend is okay with this.

It would be great, but I do not know if it is possible because they are currently “part of the hair”. That’s why I want a permanent hair style contract more than anything, so I would be able to change the color of the accessory at will. This kinda sucks.

Her* mesmer, and you would be surprised to see how often people around here ask for dresses if you think I’m the only one that wants them.

Yes! Bigger skins of the already existing pets would be awesome, too. My main is a norn ranger and her pets look so tiny… I wish my alpine wolf was as big as Garm, Eir’s wolf. I’m so jealous of her.

Agreed. My mesmer is a noble human and she needs a dress, or at last something that looks like one and is not made of foliage.

I am happy that I won’t have to change to my MF set when farming. That’s 12 extra slots for me and way faster kills.

I am hoping that there will be a way to acc. bind the MF% that my gear offers me right now, so it won’t go to waste. That’s all.

Well, Mai Trin is currently emprisoned in LA, charged with murder of a member of the council. She hasn’t even the slightest chance of ever becoming council member through an election (she wouldn’t even be able to apply for a seat).

The devs have stated that the election is based on pirate politics… for all we know, there might be a rule somewhere saying that if you kill a council member you’re entitled to their position.

I hope that something unexpected like that happens during the next part of the living story.

1. As the “Grand Marshall” of the pact, Trahearne constantly defers to the player characters judgement. He’s a backseat leader that just takes the credit when things go well and expects you to save him when things dont.

I’m not a fan of Trahearne either, mostly because he is so pessimistic all the time.
However, I would like to point out that he defers to our judgement because he had to take a role that he never wanted and that he doesn’t think he is capable of performing. Also, he hopes that we will help him when something goes wrong because he sees the player character as a close friend and the most reliable ally. That’s what friends do, they help each other. And yes, if you can keep him alive, Trahearne will help you by ressing you if you need to be ressed. Sure, it is hard to die before him, but still. He could be improved by making his DPS higher so that we could actually feel that he was being helpful, IMO. If he stopped repeating that “this won’t end well” that would be great, too. He was supposed to inspire us, right?

My guess is that there will be a way to use our MF gear to get the acc. bound MF. For example, let’s say that a different consumable item will be used to get the acc. bound MF, and we get it by salvaging our MF gear. Would it be that bad? I don’t think so.
Before anybody starts yelling at me, I only use my MF set to farm with my best friend (and he also wears his own MF set for that, and we only farm in the open world), not in dungeons.
