Division=/=rating, theres plenty of past diamond/legend players that have bad rating

One thing that I keep wondering is that why matchmaking only pairs me WITH people from my own MMR range, but not AGAINST. Ofc. it’s not too hard to progress, but I played 20 matches from which only 2 were competitive.

It has nothing to do with carrying others. Good players don’t have to carry their team, because they should only get put together with players of similar MMR. Same with low MMR players – they get weaker teammates. And those high MMR teams and low MMR teams can and will get matched against each other now, because they are all in the same division. This causes all those onesided matches and makes it easy for the high MMR players to climb up fast.
If you lose at lot now, your MMR is most likely below average. You will start winning as soon most better players have reached higher divisions.

He does bring up a good point with subpar players being able to reach legendary by playing only against other subpar players.
Yeah, I agree with that, but as it stands now, it seems like the only way to get out of amber is to either be in a premade on TS, or just be a soloQ hero who can magically carry the team on their winged steeds. No thanks.

Any of the complainers know how matchmaking works? Actually everybody is on the first/second division, and so if you have a low rating you’ll be matched with low rated players against probably better rated players. If you dont like to lose play unrank for a while and wait for more rated players to climb on higher diviions, or improve your own rating.

They were using water runes, but you can run other things as Hoelbrak
HGH increases the effectivity of Elixir S proc, passive elixir B and Elixir Gun and Elite if using it

Its not related to druid its related to CC/dodging (like you correctly pointed), but usually druids trigger this bug more than any other build. Wasnt always like this tho

Necro wells are OP too? They cover the point, unblockable, boon corrupt, affected by Death Perception, AoE protection and unblockable life leech. Oh, and you can use them ranged as pay-off for not being able to “double” them by afking on point (note that this is bad for your team)
Since you’re not telling us what what your class or build is.. I’ll tell you which classes running meta builds have issues with DH.
The list is quite extensive so, sorry for tl;dr.
War, Thief, and Mesmer.
Every other class either obliterates DH in 1v1, or it’s a 50/50 matchup at best. If you’re having issues with DH Traps (a niche 1v1 build, fyi) then it’s a big L2P on your part.

I usually mess around with a pp thief build, and the only impossible 1v1 so far are druids. If you outplay/outsmart the enemy and position yourself better, you can win everything, but it rly sucks against rangers. In a teamfight you can eat them tho.

a well played druid can proc ancient seeds pretty much on cooldown even if its bugged I found it to proc it regularly and I’m not a good ranger. then just press f2 and maul and gg..
the seeds well its just way too rewarding somewhat needs to change there.. I see the 2s proc time is there but still then it heals, cures 2 condis and blinds.. sure you can walk around but it takes some time which you really dont have against a druid,,
if they nerf the pet damage idk maybe that gives you the time and its no nerf necessary.Ancient seeds trait works best with nr4 skill of longbow. This is limited with the lbow skill cd, but its really working well. It’s working with greatsword as you mentioned, but basically only if you manage to stun your enemy, which means hitting him from behind. Any daze skill is basically not working unless the enemy actually stay on place, glyph of the tides is not working either. Using it together with your pet knock down is very hard as you have no intel about the pet skill cds. Also it sumoons roots which immobilize you and the roots are like 2hited by any mele weapon. But frankly, no problem here with me to make the cd 15sec.
About verdant etching, it’s true that it probably offers too much for too low efford. Healing, cleansing and blinding. I would even agree here that blinding should be removed from it.
Knockback will came after pet swap, not that difficult to coordinate that one at least

Again, you’d have to be crazy to fight one. Reapers are why Scrappers, Druids, and Tempests cannot rise. The sole. Reason.
But I’m not salty. Not even a tiny bit. I play Reaper too. Troll and legit builds.
Reaper and Revenant are the only builds in the game that can put enough pressure to get a kill, and have a shot at survival.
Scrapper, Druid, Tempest style builds necessitate crazy boon rip, chill, and damage.
It’s simply a matter if ArenaNet’s next balance patch will simultaneously dumpster Scrapper, Druid & Tempest healing, at the same time as Reaper and Revenant pressure..

If you think this patch is better that is your opinion. While you are entitled to yours so is everyone else so don’t spout things about their intelligence as it backfires. You seem to like high damage short fights while others like to go high Def and use attrition. That’s is a preference by the player. And I “think” this patch could have done things differently than what was done

Thing is that when I “try-hard” I can get matched with ppl that is chilling, and when Im chilling I can get matched with try-hards and I will feel bad for “throwing” the match. Today I felt like testing new builds and I’ve got matched with/against some ESL players. I dont want to be stomped cause running a bad build, but I dont want either to be forced to run a competitive build just cause Anet has coupled both queues, it just kills both competitive and casual play

I would decrease cd back and increase the cd of passive elixir S, cause even if u can use one without the other it has a really good synergy between traitlines, which is imo what Anet should be focusing when designing them

My bone of contention is that there used to be: bunker and burst (that branches more). Now, there is just burst. There are literally necros who charge you and you are dead in 5-6 seconds. And you can’t do anything about it, because they lock you in total fear. Thieves just have to press 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 and occasionally teleport away and stealth. Revenants just come to you, troll you around, and when you get them to 1% they press their magic button which fully heals them and on top of it they give you chill and run away (trolling level 9000).
Yeah, this is what I don’t like. And it DOES seem that there are just mesmers necros and thieves…. This new HoT crap skills brought so much confusion on the battlefield…When chronomancer and necro pop their AoEs I don’t see kitten and actually it doesn’t matter, because if they pop it, you are insta-dead.
For defenders of this kitten, I have just one message: enjoy your burst psycho play. I’m out, even for dailies.

The Ranger is most likely running the Menders amulet which makes him very glass and vulnerable to focus fire. It can run away perhaps but it cannot sustain vs 2 people for more then a couple of seconds.

If your thief and rev are aware of the druid when someone gets downed, they can teleport to him, interrupt him with steal if running stab, and delete him in a few seconds, while cleaving the downed. Only problem is when the druid positions himself in a really good position like outside the clock tower or under the Keep on Niflhel where you can have some problems noticing the druid, but even then you can still just teleport to the downed body ez pz, so even if its really strong, I dont think it doesnt have counterplay… Which should be looked at is conditions staying or not on the body, ause I have not noticed it but if its true that poison doesnt stay on the body when teleported then it really sux

You can interrupt the druid, but the pet keeps rezzing, so this doesn’t necessarily counter, unless the druid is either running a squishy amulet or is at low health.
Pet doesnt have stab, and Im taking a thief cause if the 5 different classes rule is used for the finals, thief prob will be meta and so it will usually be on a standard team/match. If not, replace thief with another rev and quickness cleave dat kitten

So I’ll get started with a couple questions. How do you deal with Reaper condi bombs. Should I dodge in anticipation, and if so, when is the best time to do that? And what do Reapers do after the bomb to try to prevent the player from cleansing them or reduce the impact of cleansing? Though I have a Reaper and know their skills, I don’t know the rotations, so any info would be helpful.
When necros go into staff, get ready to dodge. I find myself usually baiting out dodges with the nr2 mark due to its low cd.
This leaves only 2 marks left needing to dodge.
The staff auto is absolutly horrendous so as soon as we blow nr3 and nr5 (Maybe nr4 if we need condi clears) we switch out of staff into X/Warhorn to have the interupts ready and trigger our on-swap sigils.
And then, the condi boom is entering Reaper, proccing on weapon swap sigils, and bursting from there, which is all melee range. So, kite the necro when hes on Shroud and be ready to dodge when he jumps on you when out of Shroud, cause it means hes going to burst you with condis. Theres no other reason for a necro to be on melee range. Also, follow his weapon swap and Shorud cds in order to know if its safe or not to be on melee if you’re on a melee build, and CC-chain him when he leaves Shroud: he barely has stability and is susceptible to be bursted. Just take care of Spectral Armor and you’re gona be alright

Having boon corrupt on aa is just an insanely bad decision no matter how you look at it.
Having it on the number 2 means its an AOE but cannot be spammed and if someone is paying attention they can dodge it.
This would be a buff, not a nerf, in case you didnt know

And that an on demand AoE boon corrupt is way better than waiting few secs in order to be able to corrupt smth, theres no boon corrupt strats/burst/whatever involved around this. With this change you are able to quickly react to a stab/resistance, with chain not at all
