invigorating precision change could be really interesting for unranked
sometimes when i’m bored i play P/P with signet of malice, my unloads deal around 6-8k
(i have massive crit chance) i can expect to get around 600hp from invigorating precision now each time i unload, added to the truckload i already get from SoM.
could be interesting!
overall good changes, disappointed that shatterstone only received a cast buff, also we need a balance pass on elites for all classes!

it is utterly USELESS
the passive heals for less than healing signet (which heals constantly, forever), but SoV only heals if you’re getting hit.
i won’t even begin to talk about the active, utterly trash skill.
they should remove the cooldown from the passive and make the active boost the effects of all life syphons by a large amount.
if its just ridiculous burst that you’re after then a zerker/assassin SD build is what you’re looking for, i’ve oneshot 2 people at the same time before and regularly oneshot people in 1v1 :-3

we usually get 2 PVEers posting the same “i want past pvp rewards” thread each day!
meanwhile us pvpers are fine with PVEers having their “i was here for this” rewards like Wings of the Sunless, Air-Filtration Device etc.
i’m glad there are still (very few) past items that haven’t been recycled, they’re usually a highlight in MMOs for me but Anet tend to barf them back in to circulation and make them stupidly easy to obtain…

pretty much this, the devs have made it quite clear that they don’t care about fixing gamebreaking pvp exploits. (you ALL probably know the one i’m on about.)
they’re happy to let the pvp community simply bleed away until noone is left but their favourite pets.
like many others for the longest time i hoped against all the evidence that they would put an ounce of effort into pvp.
shame we were all left disappointed.

noone has mentioned that guards have no condi build.
(well not a serious build anyway since they only have access to burning.)
as stated above, guardian range damage is lackluster, Smite should be a symbol.
warrior, now there is a class that does everything
condi builds, range builds, melee builds, bunker, CC builds, healer, support,
there isn’t anything that warrior can’t do great!
it could be HILARIOUS in a premade setting, imagine a whole wvw zerg of guardians sticking together, all traited to buff aegis, hit one and all of the rest get aegis.
if i remember correctly there is no target limit.
and each aegis procs removal effects like the damage/heal ones.
all of the most potent heals have high telegraphs, just look at mesmer’s mantra, heals for a ton on a 10 second CD but it has a ridiculously long cast time,
ele’s Ether Renewal, heals for alot, removes a ton of conditions, 15 second cooldown, extremely susceptible to interrupt.
Consume Conditions is up there with the best of the best, it completely negates poison since it removes conditions before the heal, it would be hugely OP without an obvious telegraph.
Since the devs are obviously terrified of necromancers healing themselves while turtling in death shroud, what do you all think of regeneration and other healing effects restoring life force while in death shroud rather than health? So if the necro has regeneration on and goes into death shroud, the remaining regen duration will add to their life force.
isn’t that just pretty much healing anyway? XD
life force acts as a degenerating health extension.
so regen effecting it would pretty much be like healing the necro
i’ve still got to retrain my muscle memory to stop ending deathshroud before a stomp XD
it’s become such a natural thing that i do it automatically and then realize i could have just shroud stomped :P

Fortifying Bond , any boon you get is shared with your pet.
Companion’s Might , crits grant might to your pet.
Ricochet , axe auto, grants you might for each hit (max 3)
throw in strength sigil and runes.
minions with 25 might stacks, muahahaha! >;-3
or we could just say Phalanx Strength on a MM ;-3
(crits grant might to nearby allies) use warhorn and dagger to spam crits.

i tend to find myself using strength and force sigils (combines with strength runes) more than air/fire recently,
the damage increase is massive, 10% just from force and the strength 6 piece bonus then even more from the power bonus you maintain (usually atleast 175).
might scaling with stats needs to happen,
bunkers shouldn’t be able to do zerker damage due to a buff,
by that logic zerkers should be able to get immortal god mode simply because they have Protection.
it’d be an absurd concept.
make might scale with stats Anet!

We all rolled rangers, which was the pet class of the game. We did not roll archers, marksmen or anything of the sort.
The pet is not going anywhere. Deal with it.
i made my ranger before they nerfed pets through the floor,
i’d rather they just go all the way and remove it rather than leaving ranger with a weak, stupid AI companion that is supposed to factor in to balancing ranger damage.
The question is why do you think this somehow stops them from doing other things?

Elementalist is now the fastest profession because fgs. Then they get nerfed, they increase the cd of rtl to 80 sec if not hitting a target, then they nerf back fgs, and forget to undo the changes to rtl. I can see it coming.
RTL nerf is one of the worst things (maybe the worst) that was ever done to the Elementalist class. And remember, it wasn’t one nerf, it was multiple-nerfs…… I always lose my nerves when something/one reminds me….
there was a d/d ele meta a long time ago, they hit hard and took way more damage than they should have been able to take, and if anything didn’t go their way they would simply click RTL and you’d NEVER catch them, RTL needed the nerf.
and the d/d eles are now back in a similar unkillable heavy damage situation thanks to might/celestial, i’m glad they don’t have the old RTL.

pretty much what the guys above said, of the options, hotjoin is still the best option of the 3.
i usually only play one night a week so i don’t want to spend it waiting more than playing.
i loathe skyhammer so i don’t want to play the roulette of having it pop up in soloQ.
i also hate meta builds, i don’t play them and i prefer to play against more interesting builds.
if they reverted every change they’ve made to hotjoin it would be 1000x better than it is right now.

If you remember correctly in the past , ppl actually ’’choosed’’ to join the loosing side when was an open spot , because back then you didnt get rewards based on ‘’win-loss’’ matches , but rather you had to kill-capture bases and if was a nice practice trying to turn back the outcome of the match .
Now , why bother sticking to it when you have to win to get the most rewards .Or even in soloque-teamque , even if your team where 250 points behind , one of your team8s didnt stand afk in the ressing point in your bases or yelling on your chat ‘’loose faster so can join an other match faster’‘’ , but rather went to get some extra rewards , while giving the pseudo-idea that : ’’i havent give up , we cn make it ! join me "
Dont you find it strange that in 2014 we had like 5000% increase in ragequiting-afk-badmouthing (ppl where occupied to collect the rewards-not wasting their time on the keyboard) compared to the whole 2013 ?
i agree with everything you said, how can they be so good at making their game worse and worse,
the scoring is worse, (personal score rewarded your effort even if you lost)
the rewards are worse, (one skale worth of loot in 15 minutes? be serious!)
5v5 isn’t as fun, (8v8 was incredibly fun, we -play- played hotjoin for fun.)
the maps are worse (skyhammer in the rotation)
the exploits are worse. (this should have been fixed in the same week it was added.)
the meta could arguably be better than previous ones, but that is literally it, on every other aspect they’ve tried their absolute hardest to ruin pvp.
they think showering the top 100 players in cash tournaments is going to fix pvp?

rather than making a new class/sub class out of it they could simply add something like Demonic Sacrifice from WoW.
in WoW a warlock works alot like a ranger in GW2 (in the way that they are both classes that are supposed to have a permanent AI ally fighting along side them)
Demonic Sacrifice let the warlock sacrifice (lets say “stow” for GW2 sake) the pet and in return got a buff depending on what pet it was.
in GW2 that could work out rather well,
stow a bird? get increased movement speed,
stow a cat? get a bonus to damage,
stow a bear? get a defensive bonus etc.
is pvp beyond help?

i dont understand how some people are saying necro is bad in pvp. :S
i’m rank 80 and play pvp almost exclusively and my necro is one of my favourite chars,
i play power/wells with d/w and a 4/4/0/0/6 set up, and i love it!
also since i’ve been pvping since beta I got the unobtainable Tribal Armour that people are after fairly early, rawr! ;-3
people have been asking for a death blossom change since the extinction of the dinosaurs,
while i do think the evade frame should better reflect the animation i don’t think it would cause the skill to see more use, its a condition skill in a power weapon set.
people wanting a condition spec will use condition weapons like p/d,
i’d go with your suggestion to increase the evade frame, but i’d also remove the bleeds and increase the damage to make it a power skill.
of the 2 i’d pick charr because they look cooler and fit the class more,
or asura if you plan on pvping, simply because they’re the one and only pvp race.
use Entangle
have a wolf, spider or another pet with CC as a secondary pet,
have sword/dagger as a “switch-to” set incase the enemy gets close,
use Signet of Stone or Protect Me.

actually i like that we can communicate with the enemy,
it’s funny when you totally obliterate a meta clone with your none meta build and they call you a noob,
and its funny when someone with a cheese-mode meta build beats your none meta build and then tough talks about how awesome they are XD
edit: granted i’m what the elitists would call a “hotjoin hero” and the toxicity is alot less in hotjoin (unless you’re a team-swapping exploiter), than in S/Tpvp

wrong, i don’t die there at all because i don’t play it, haven’t played it since my first match there and will never play it again.
and say “hot-join hero” all you like, there is no way i’m waiting 30 minutes for a Tpvp pop, and suckhammer is in Spvp (and anet refuse to remove it despite the unanimous call for it) so thats out, all thats left is the exploitable, teamswapping cess pool of hotjoin that Anet refuse to fix.
the pvp community is shrinking fast and for very good reasons,
if you pvped there is no way you’d be such a whiteknight.
but being a pve’er if something is exploitable it is fixed in a week, so happy days for you!
in pvp you shouldn’t hope to have a severe exploit fixed within a year.
i’ve pumped alot of cash into this game, but pvp is still the same handful of maps, single mode, and exploits go ignored, so nope, cash=content. neglect=neglect.

hotjoin was fine before they added team select, they did make the mess.
the most fun time in hotjoin was in the first year, it was 8v8 with automated teams.
they removed 8v8 and allowed people to leave the losing team and join the winning one.
it’s been over a year since hotjoin was ruined and left to rot,
they could fix it easily at any point, stop trying to defend their utter neglect.
Are there other small tweaks like this (aside from removal of solo queue) that you feel would make the map a better experience for players – changes that wouldn’t drastically change the gameplay dynamic and aesthetic of the map?
it is the “gameplay dynamic” that everyone hates…
why suggestions aside from removing it? we all want it removed.
i will never play this map and as such i don’t play soloQ because of it.
it even bugs me that it pops up in hotjoin and i have to switch servers.
i know thousands of other player will simply AFK this map in soloQ,
remove it already,

not that i’m an expert or anything, but i’ve played zerker ele in lower level dungeons and went through the “oh snap i’m dead!” phase, i found that if you leave it afew seconds for less squishy members to draw aggro it helps a ton!
a thread in the general discussion section just taught me how to fix hotjoin.
Boycott gem buying until they fix it.
thats right Anet, it’s come to a point were i’m not spending another penny until you fix the mess you’ve made, the one we’ve been telling you about for a year now, the one you’ve utterly ignored.
FIX/REMOVE TEAM SELECT AND SPECTATOR!
People keep shouting about all these massive issues that have been here since release and is not fixed and yet I have never actually seen anyone that have said WHAT these issues are and HOW to fix them.
i’d recommend you read the pvp forum some time,
issue 1, exploiting your way to the winning team.
over a year ago anet decided to add team select and spectator which utterly ruined every match by allowing people on the losing team to abandon their team and join the winning side, resulting in constant 4v5s and 3v5s every match,
we have been screaming at Anet since and i’ve posted a fair few detailed suggestions, we haven’t heard a peep from Anet.
issue 2, SKYHAMMER,
everyone hates this map. there is a thread in the pvp forums, actually i wont call it a thread, i’ll call it Anet’s bin.
anyway, every time the pvpers band together and make a thread expressing our seething hatred for this horrible map, Anet junk it in to one merge-thread which they simply labled “skyhammer” it is currently at around 1,500 posts of loathing and hatred (and suggestions, mostly to remove the kitten thing!) and not a single red post yet.
i’m happy join this boycott until the fix the teamswap exploit.
which in all seriousness is so easy to fix. (but i won’t go in to detail here, read one of the hundreds of posts on it in the pvp forum.)

in pvp i also use a longbow + traps build, mine uses rampager amulet and focuses on longbow traits in the marksman tree rather than wilderness survival, i use 6/6/2/0/0
works really well staying up high defending a spot, and when the enemy inevitably tries to reach you they hit your traps and their health just vanishes.
one of my favourite builds is glasscannon staff ele, you’ve got to try and sneak up on the fight because you’re so ridiculously squishy, but if you can get your spells off then EVERYONE dies
5k meteors, 3k lava font and 3k fireballs all pummelling the area at the same time,
i use blasting staff too so it covers the entire point.
my favourite time is when people try to rezz through it XD

If a ranger is no longer in the animation where he’s shooting arrows, then arrows should no longer fall.

It is an exploit. The red post just officialy stated that arenanet now approve using exploit of game mechanism.
An exploit(er) is defined as the use of an bug or glitch in a way that wasn’t intended by devs to said player advantages
Exploit: “make use of (a situation) in a way considered unfair”
i just made over 20g in under an hour by selling ToT bags to people who can’t enter the farm instance. (because they completed the story)
i’ve also bought over 50g of maize so when the price of maize goes up i can make money off the farmers too!
exploiting the situation, an exploit doesn’t always have to mean breaking all sorts of rules!
