For instance, if both teams have equal players you can’t join the winning one.
But in reality they’ve ignored the exploit for this long, as much as I’d like to see it fixed I’ve lost all expectations that they ever actually will.

but on a serious note, i feel like my power necro needs less precision (not the stat, but performing everything perfectly without mistakes) than alot of other classes like guard, ele and thief.

8v8 was amazingly fun and every match was better balanced since you’d generally get atleast 3 people on each team who knew what to do.

by far the worst change to date, this has ruined all form of balance, and as such has ruined all form of fun, there is nothing fun about a onesided pointless match, no matter which team you’re on.
bring back 8v8 hotjoin, disable/fix spectator+team select.

i’m really hoping that they never add them again,
as someone who spent months farming and then spent everything i had so i could afford greatsaw.
its one of the very few things in this game with any kind of prestigious value because you can’t obtain it anymore, it makes it so much more prestigious than legendaries that you see everyone standing around with.
its like the LS S1 things which you can now buy with laurels, they’ve lost all value.
if they’d kept them as a “one time only” deal it would be something valuable.
i read somewhere that a dev had commented that they won’t re-add the greatsaw because the style doesn’t fit the game, i hope thats true but i never saw the source.
they’re a little frustrating for me (since the majority of my chars are glasscannons, and getting hit for 8k in 2 seconds from out-of-range is’nt fun)
but i dont think they need to be nerfed, they have counters.
the biggest counter is that they aren’t very effective up close, and in a game of “stand in this circle” which is what we have as pvp, they fail at standing in circles…
i’ve tried auto balancing the team togive the losing side the player advantage, but there is always a bunch of exploiters waiting to join the winning team…
the most you can do is force a 4v5… still with the losing team at a handicap.
seriously Anet, fix this exploit already…
its not the auto balance that is at fault, it is how abusable it is when mixed with spectator and team select, and how unwilling Anet are to fix it,
hotjoin used to be so much fun, now every single match is just a vile heap of spectator exploiters and onesided-cheap victories, its not fun for anyone.
all anet have to do is disable spectator and team select, or spend the time to improve them with restrictions, buts lets be real, they aren’t gonna do anything.
i think we’re fine with raining 24 × 5K AoE’s down from the sky,
in terms of damage potential, is there another skill that can cause more damage than a meteor shower?
“back in the day” they nerfed pet damage, around that time they nerfed alot of other things which have previously been unnerfed, notably Ele’s signet healing, and ele seem fairly balanced.
IMHO they should unnerf the pet damage,
or give the ranger the ability to stow pet and gain a buff of some form, maybe even depending on pet.
like stowing a bear would give the ranger a bonus to vitality, healing and toughness,
stowing a cat would give power, precision, ferocity etc.
i’d allow people to join the winning team in pvp lol
just to troll the already losing team with an even worse handicap!
and i’d even let people go from the losing team to the winning team!
oh wait…anet have done that already?

thats one of the reason i play hotjoin, if i’m spending the one night (were i don’t have to be up early for work the next day) playing pvp then i don’t want to spend half of it waiting…
i just wish anet would fix the exploits and make hotjoin fun again…
S/T pvp have the problem that you either have long wait times and a fairly even-ish match, or you have quick queues but the player balance is all over the place with high ranks and low ranks all thrown together.
it would be so easy for Anet to fix the spectator exploitation.
the fact that it is still here after sooo many patches is just embarrassing for Anet,
if they want to maintain the illusion that they actually care about pvp then this should have been fixed long ago.
it looks to me like pretending to care is even too much effort now.
Troll unguant: Totaly is a survival skill this ability has always been in the survival line.
this needs to happen, it really should be a survival skill,
it was in GW1 (Wilderness Survival)
and was one of my favourite heals back then.
imho there should be no typeless skills
just look at engi:
healing turret = buffed by turret traits.
A.E.D = buffed by Gadget traits.
Elixir H = buffed by Elixir traits.
Med Kit = buffed by kit traits.
hit someone with several 23k Hundred Blades yesterday night XD
i didn’t expect the first one so i did’nt get a screenshot
but i was ready for the 2nd, unfortunately he vanished so the screenshot looks pretty bad,
i’m not sure if he insta-rezzed, team swapped or left the server,
heres that screeny anyway
a ranger with a black widow and Entangle can do a pretty epic job of keeping someone locked in place, entangle alone lasts well over 10 seconds, the spider also has a 6 second immobilize (from f2 and their default immobilize)
you can do something like 16 seconds of immobilize, every 48 seconds.
the trick is to have an 80 alt that you don’t play,
after you’ve got quite alot of chest trade them over to this alt and use ridiculously high stacks of magic find to open all the boxes.
i’ve had 3 ascended so far (2 rings and an armor box) aswell as quite alot of rares/exotics.
it’d be nice if there was some sort of “pvp chest storage” in the mists though, logging through 13 alts really sucks!
A lot of people are upset because things changed. Change is never handled well by people in general. Especially when it effects things that some players enjoyed doing. Experience the game for what it is now. If you have feedback provide it.

they could have done what everyone else does, ya know, release NEW content as rewards rather than taking everything away and pretending its your reward as they did with the traits and now everything else.
how would you possibly expect people to be happy with these changes?
personally i’ll never level a new character unless i have a ton of tomes to insta level them. oh wait… i’d probably need to unlock bank access.
because unlocking things that you could already do by default is FUN!

if you don’t like necro condis then i really hope for you that you don’t meet a condi mesmer with Illusionary Elasticity since the buff, their clones alone will keep burning up permanently and atleast 15 stacks of bleed…
now usually i’m not one to praise wow, i think it’s vastly outdated,
but stealth is one of the mechanics that they have working PERFECTLY.
in order to stealth you need to leave combat, but stealth has no duration,
it ends when you attack or are hit with an attack,
and you can be detected if you are in the cone sight range of enemies.
this is how stealth should work!
i’m sure there ss an adequate scripter in the community, give us a computer for 5 mins anet and i’ll pay to fly them over there to spend the 5 minutes it’d take to disable team select and spectator.
or heck, give them an hour to put some decent "if"s and "or"s in there to make a decent system, enough of this exploitable garbage.
You meta clones are funny but I’ve been running the build since the patch and blending peoples faces, the adrenaline nerf is barely noticeable,

ok lets be serious, i cherrypicked that 21k, but it only took me several tries to get it, my average 100b is around 16k on players.
as a zerker GS war even i can’t agree with reducing the channel to 2 seconds,
we melt faces good enough already.
I should also get a screenshot next time I’ll be in the frost golem in fractals. RaO, SotW, and 25 stacks of might. Last time it was something like 187k.. lol
this is in the mists with pvp armor (exotic), no food, no outside debuffs, no outside buffs, no cooldowns.

because earlier today i took this screenshot of hundred blades…
if you
prefer to kill fast as possible
then i’ve got a build that deals even more damage than before the patch
(i used to run a berserker’s power GS build too)
the catch is that my build is full zerker, it has very little utility and obviously dies faster than the usual 2 stance builds with cleansing ire/adrenal health,
but what it does have is 16k Hundred Blades and 6k arcing slice crits
obviously its intended for hotjoin, which is what i use it for.

how to use the build (fairly obvious):
NEVER use the signets
only switch weapon to escape, with warrior sprint, block and GS whirl and rush you can escape from pretty much anything if the fight goes south.
so if hitting the heavy golem with a 16k hundred blades without any cooldowns sounds like a build for you, then have fun!
edit: if you’re lucky enough to be hitting enough targets to get 25 might stacks (which happens alot more than you’d think using this build) then you could get to see one of these 21k hundred blades (this was on the heavy golem too) XD

sure the 5% damage nerf sucks, but are you prepared for 8K+ AoE arcing Slices?!

mostly out of curiosity, but the buff to both Unload and Invigorating Precision could lead to a rather crazy regen build!
might stacking axe condi ranger
combine with the trait that shares boons to your pet,
put points in beast mastery, this could be very dangerous!

thousands of threads calling Hambow out on being OP,
greatsword gets nerfed.
i wouldn’t put too much stock in anet listening, they may hear, but they don’t listen.
or don’t alter your build atall, just use Executioner’s Axe toy skill #2 skill Corpse Toss which makes you charge forwards and its spammable combined with swiftness you can cross maps EXTREMELY quickly,
even just using focus on mesmer or staff on guard.

i think the answer is in there:
PU mesmer is a rather toxic build, its the mesmer’s equivalent of spirit rangers, MM necros, turret engis and hambow warriors,
you’re stirring rat poison into everyones soup and some of them aren’t going to be happy about that.
in pvp people don’t like crutch builds, and a build based around spamming NPCs while running away and hiding it the epitome of a crutch build
sorry if this seems blunt but i think its your answer
i’ll be making a flamethrower “kit camper” after the patch,
i’ve tried multiple builds in the past (and some have been pretty decent) but i feel with the 30% higher AA damage and #2 becoming a blast finisher we might actually have some pretty lethal builds!
as to buffs, i’m not sure!
i levelled with bombs and medi kit (sure turret is better for actual healing)
put medikit skill #5 on auto cast and switch to medikit for a long duration swiftness that has a higher uptime than downtime, throw in “speedy kits” too for perma switness and you don’t need to swap kits too much
Axe 2 should have had its cast time cut
Axe 1 should have had a damage increase and a small aoe around your target
Rather disappointed with the lack of changes for necro
p2p is pretty much suicide these days,
mark my words, ESO will be f2p or dead by next summer.
i’f you’re ballsy enough to charge a monthly fee,
then you’d better pump out the content to warrant it!

good change, but it could be better (nerfed harder), the skill is pretty toxic.

on a serious note though, all traps being in the same utility slot is a great idea,
thieves traps should work the same too, people might actually use thief traps then!
with the upcoming patch a longbow glass ranger will be a nightmare for all other zerkers.
i already run a build that can drop anyone FAST, from 1500
but now its getting buffed to the extreme,
ofcourse you’re dead if someone gets close,
but with the right spot you can snipe them down before they have a chance.
other than that though, there is very little reason to play power over condis in pvp,
since you need a large point investment to be doing decent damage (prec, ferocity, power) while condi builds only need to put points in Condi damage,
and maybe some duration thrown in, but generally you can spec much more defensively than power builds, while still pumping out huge armour ignoring damage..
