Uhm, no. It’s phenomenal. Really satisfying when you pull it off at the right time and watch your entire health bar fill up.
Do not speak for all Revenants, please. Speak for yourself. Some of us think the changes are pretty reasonable.
It is not just glint. A few people, including myself, have noticed Impossible Odds cancelling itself at ~36% remaining energy, which is about where it would be if you quickly cancelled it yourself. We are sure that we are not double tapping it so that isn’t the issue. It just randomly will cancel.
This happened to me fairly frequently with IO when running around grabbing hero points. Sometimes I think it happens with Jalis’ Hammers, but it can be hard to tell with that one because of terrain issues and such.
Thanks, Roy.
i just did fotm 50+ i must have stability!
Completely irrelevant to this thread. Stop it.
If they were going to make any addition to shield 5, I’d prefer adding stability while channeled, which I think fits thematically with the ability.
I was kicked out many times in shield 5 today due to stab from dodge. Free fear for necro ds 2. It wont change anything.
I actually liked it as a break bar, it just needed to be tougher to break.

They should not have increased the cd at all.
And yet, you’d be perfectly fine with them changing the trait to 60 seconds? Guess you don’t use that one, huh? Who cares if other people like it?
Bro, I’ll type this in the most sober way possible, this is the worst suggestion I’ve ever seen in the history of suggestions, and by bro I mean never my bro.
And now I’m reminded of the satellite TV commercial. I can’t stop saying bro, bro.

You’re probably right, but that’s the core of the problem. I get that the journeys are supposed to be harder than the trading post in exchange for being cheaper.
Actually, they clearly aren’t intended to be cheaper, which is the problem.
The way I thought it would work would be that it was a lot of work with relatively low cost. Then you would have three options: luck-based, gold-based, and effort-based. But as cool as the idea of a legendary journey to obtain a precursor is, having to put in all the effort and even remotely as much gold makes this a not terribly desirable thing to do. In a sense, you are being charged twice by the new method: you have to put in significant effort for the privilege of spending a bunch of money (which presumably also requires significant effort to obtain). The part of me that wants to play in at least a semi-efficient way just balks at the idea.
I love the idea, but not the execution.
I completed my Flameseeker shield a week or so before the expansion hit, because I wanted it for my Revenant. My first legendary. It took a lot of effort, but I enjoyed the process. There are many intermediate goals to shoot for, so you feel like you are making progress. Whatever you decide to do, I hope you enjoy the journey.
Heck remove the healing but allow us to move while blocking. Being an immobile healing rock for 3 sec sucks.
Then use sword instead. Leave shield alone.
I swear…looking at the front page. It’s like you could see the future. Got today’s lotto numbers?
I killed, like 3 or 4 of them in…I think it was Wayfarer Foothills…while doing a daily and it dropped. Was yesterday before reset or maybe the night before.
This may not be the answer you want to hear, and apologies if this is unhelpful, but I think your best bet is to save up 450g and buy it
Revs role is fun. They are masters of it.
But yeah, they can do a bit of everything, and as a Herald, supplement a group with a variety of boons and boon duration.
For a second there I thought you were serious.
These changes concern me. Not because they weren’t needed or unjustified but because it’s too much too quickly. What they need to be doing is small, small iterations. Try increasing the cool down on Crystal Hibernation. Is that not enough? Okay decrease the amount of time healed on Infuse Light. Doing too much too fast doesn’t really show where the issues truly are. There’s no easy way to walk back on these changes if we suddenly were to turn into dead meat because was it Infused Light or Crystal Hibernation?
This is especially true with something like Infuse Light which has such potential to be a nothing heal and boom…your heal is now wasted.
I’m ok with it from a PvE perspective. For me, these seem like relatively modest changes. Having an absolutely blast, especially since with the skill point change, I have the full line unlocked.
Not going to happen, nor should it.
Can you activate the missions again? Does seem odd, though.
Most of the information on that page is completely outdated. See the main page for fractals of the mists. Moreover, I’m not sure where you are getting +9s from. The regular simple agony infusions are +5. There are some new +7s. Maybe there is something else new, but I suspect you are referring to the other type of agony infusion (especially since you refer to them being expensive), which only goes in rings and back pieces.
At any rate, if you want to start acquiring agony resistance, start with ascended trinkets.
Legendary Dwarf (Jalis) is the first legend you get access to. Legends determine what utility skills you have available.
The 50% thing with the arrows shows your energy gain/loss. Under normal circumstances, you gain +5 energy per second (capped at 50 out of combat). Various skills spend that energy. There are also upkeep skills that have a cost per second that will be shown by those arrows.
all the heralds skills now give a 3 second boon every 3 seconds so the moment you turn off any upkeep to regen some energy you will lose that boon.
i liked it more in beta where you could stack boon duration for a small amount
Sounds like you aren’t using Facet of Nature.
Foes that strike you from farther away than the range threshold (360) deal less damage (-10%).
Is it just me that feels that this is slightly awkwardly designed seeing as the majority of Revenant weapons are melee? Surely it should reduce from WITHIN the threshold, no?
No, the intent is to reduce damage from projectiles. You have plenty of defensive options in melee range.
I got the pop up to switch maps once, earlier…I think in Auric Basin. That was the only time.
kitten >.< wanted the Fervid Censer…. any way to obtain it from playing the game..? like easy….
PS: this item https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Fervid_Censer
You should be able to buy it from a laurel merchant for 25 laurels and 15 gold, as mentioned on the page you linked.
jam packed with utility.
Precisely why I love it so much.
How about an option to disable them showing up on your map?
The feedback in this mission is terrible. The player shouldn’t have to look at the minimap to try and figure out where the heck to go in the two seconds you have before being instakilled. Having a trail left behind would help greatly.

I’ve now seen it in PvE on a certain NPC folks might be familiar with.
I’ve seen it on other players, so you are mistaken. Perhaps they changed the priority on this animation so if you have reduced decals or some other graphics option enabled it isn’t displayed.
Edit: the only place I remember seeing it for sure is the pvp lobby. This could also be tied in to the post made the other day about reducing visual “noise” obscuring important tells. Now that I think about it, that seems like the likely scenario.

What’s worse is that in the Mad King’s labyrinth, I think the doors destroy the projectiles without actually shutting off the skill. Haven’t seen that happen anywhere else, though.
Rather similar to the gallant hammer, is it not?
The behavior could be screwy, maybe even with the particular event. I was doing the escort in VB yesterday near the start where you head into the ruins. I ended up dying shortly after blowing up the wall and getting to the waypoint. Unfortunately, the waypoint was contested. It took me quite a while to figure out how to even get back to the area where that had happened, let alone where they had run off to. In the end, I never actually caught up to either of the escorts, but still got credit. It had to have been 8-10 minutes. Maybe I was getting credit for enemies in the area…not sure.
Battelle nailed it.
dual wield means wielding 2 of the same weapon.
Not in this game. I THINK shield worked in beta, but I would have to double check.
Condi builds by definition do damage over time and generally lack major burst potential. Of course it takes a Condi build longer than a power build to kill a relatively low-health enemy.
Guardian is an excellent choice, IMO. It can cover all of the revs weak spots, especially condition clear and reflects.
I think the sigil helps a bit more for group situations especially when you have vengeful hammers going. But I will look in to it more thanks for the tip.
Yeah, I assumed your primary concern was just having SOME on all the time, so you would get the benefits, but yeah, I got you. Jalis Hammers actually do a nice job of applying it.
I am dyeing to know how these are obtained. They are still in the list, but the names have changed:
Ominous Yellow
Harrowing Maroon Dye
Eerie Purple
Carnage Orange
Crushed Bone
Ember Red
I had hoped since some of them are common/uncommon that they might be tied to the Halloween event, but given that they haven’t made an appearance, they must be in a dye pack or something. I really need one of them for my new Revenant.

Superior Frailty
Paulytnz, give it a try without the frailty sigil. You will find that vulnerability is being applied pretty much constantly even without that. If you like the result, that frees up that slot for something else.
I’m not worried about it. Im sure I will get points from both. The point was more that I decided I’m going to start playing as a Herald as quickly as I can and will unlock more goodies as I go. In a sense I might be hamstringing myself a little, but the shield and F2 are both so good, that I don’t think it will be a big deal, and I will get to progress my Herald as I play.
After reading this and some other posts where people expressed wanting to not play through all the new content before getting their elite unlocked, I decided I would spend some time grabbing skill points in Tyria today.
As soon as I get to 85, I am swapping in the Herald line and heading back to HoT. I am going to keep using Jalis/Shiro until I get Facet of Elements unlocked, then will switch to Glint/Jalis.
Revenant isn’t about complex skill rotations. It is brimming with situational abilities that aren’t necessarily intended to be used on cooldown, though there are exceptions. Generally speaking, though, good dps doesn’t require hitting every skill on cooldown. I happen to love this, but understand it won’t be for everyone.
No, it isn’t a waste. With full ascended berserker gear, a phalanx warrior, and a ranger with spotter, you would go over 100% a bit under fury with Roiling Mists (Invocation, not Herald), but even then it wouldn’t that tragic.
I didn’t get a mask when I opened the chest, but I also didn’t get the achievement.
I prefer the regular ones. Cool you got it, though.
I’d make a comment disagreeing with you, but it seems everytime I disagree with anyone my comments get removed, I guess having a differing opinion is bad and it’s easier to just censor anything we don’t like.
Nothing wrong with disagreeing. Perhaps it is the way you chose to express it.
I had been in the “not a big deal” camp, but Sylent makes a good point here. By the time you fully unlock the elite, you will have played through a large portion of the expansion content. I can understand wanting to experience that content with your elite the first time.
In the end, it won’t stop me from enjoying my new Revenant, but I can see the point.
All I want is an official addition to the story journal that will tell me which masteries I need to unlock for the full storyline so that I can finish them before I start, thus avoiding the flow breaking mastery grind between each chapter.
Seems like a fair request. I’d think that info would be up on the wiki relatively soon.
Thanks for letting us know.
On a related note, are the dyes going to be a gem store item?
Anyone else didn't get their character slot?

The bonus slots for veterans have been going out on Friday. If you don’t receive it by the end of the day today, I would start a support ticket.
