Possible fix to crashes? (32bit restriction)
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

The application I linked allows GW2 to use 4GB if you have a 64bit OS, it Doubles the amount of available RAM use,
As I said, GW2 already had this feature, so the program does not do that. I wish it did.
Like it, but I don’t expect new legends anytime soon. And if they were going to add one, I’d prefer an underwater one we auto-switch to. Playing two legends that don’t work underwater is a pain.
Personally, I wouldn’t care if the hammers were purely a visual effect and the skill was just a pulsing AOE. It would fix the usability issues nicely.
Yup, it has been asked for a number of times. We would probably lose the life steal on hitting vulnerable targets from the Devastation line, but seems like a fair trade to make it more usable.
There are things that need fixing, like underwater combat. There are things that would be very nice, like a ranged Condi weapon. And there are things that aren’t remotely necessary (for the class to be complete), like choice of abilities.

GW2 is already large address aware.
we also get two sets rather than one set of utilities, and that gives us more flexibility and power; essentially we are exchanging build flexibility for two sets of utilities, including two heal skills.
Need something different? Swap legends.

People need to stop posting this garbage and acting like it does that on every hit.
Even Rev players have been asking for this since BWE2, so people have less reason to complain about it.
There are other thread on this.

Hope you enjoy the finished product. Love mine. And they added the new stat combos to legendaries, which makes it even more useful.
There’s an ascended armor chest at the end,
Explain please. I got no such thing when I completed season 2, nor do I see it listed in the achievements for episode 8.
I don’t think it was ever simply for having a shield equipped, no. I will see if I can test this later.

Yup, turn player instruments down. I never heard them during the first beta because I already had. Now I have it all the way up
Good idea. +1 from me.
Of course you can use it. But you don’t absolutely have to use it on cooldown in order to do decent damage. I like to save it for a moment where it allows me to do some damage while avoiding getting hit by something nasty.
You have to train the legendary mastery line, I think.
There will never be racial skills or Mistfire wolf for Revenant. I hope the underwater stuff is still a work in progress, but we haven’t received an update on that recently.
You need to stop conflating shield with Glint (Legendary Dragon stance). While they are related, they aren’t the same. I use shield in Jalis stance all the time.
Soothing Stone should clear conditions before applying the heal.
Inspiring Reinforcement should either give a flat amount of stability at the start or increase the pulsed duration to 2 seconds.
Everything else about Jalis fine.

Huh. We did two rushes on…Thursday night I think…and didn’t have any problems. So whatever is going wrong, it isn’t all the time.
Are you asking about power vs conditions?
You already have a WvW build thread going. How about discussing this there instead of making an entirely new thread?
I believe I found either a bug or an oversight. Phase Traversal says that you gain “Unblockable(5s)” and really only gives you this buff for 2s. Don’t know if this just needs to be updated or is a bug
You get 2 stacks. I don’t use Shiro, but I think each stack is consumed when you hit something. If you don’t attack anything, they wear off after 5 seconds, regardless.
So do some damage too.
Chill stacks duration, not intensity. There’s a cap on the number of sources contributing to the duration.
I was at this fight earlier. The CC window is very short. We never managed to pull it off and still came maybe 10-15 seconds away from winning the fight.
Nice find on Jalis Hammers when used against an invulnerable opponent. I know this was happening frequently at labyrinth doors, but hadn’t made that realization.
If you wanted to get a node for your home instance, I would recommend the quartz crystal node. It’s actually worth it, IMO.
im also constantly crashing during larger events
If that’s the case, I suggest restarting the client before doing a big event if possible if you have been playing for an hour or more. If I’ve been playing for a couple of hours, I can practically guarantee I will crash during the final burn phase in the Teq fight.
Wish I could give you the skin I got from the story mission.
Ewwwww…
You could always play through the story with multiple characters to unlock more.
I believe its the same three for every profession. sword/pistol/torch? that was for mes and guard i know sword i can’t remember the other too. if its different, which profession had focus? anyone know?
Definitely not the same three. For Revenant it was Sword, Mace, and something else.
Wish I could give you the skin I got from the story mission.

Roy has posted in one of the threads about this, so it isn’t being ignored. Give it a little time.
Im stupid, Thank you.
You are neither the first nor the last, I assure you.
Equip the herald specialization in the third slot.
Not a chance they add condition removal to Shiro. That’s the sacrifice you make to use him.
Just happened to me as well.
I haven’t used Ventari, but I have a couple of guildies that fell in love with it during Beta. They really appreciate the fact they can have the tablet in one spot healing folks while they revive someone or do whatever they need to somewhere else.
Revenant is a blast, but part of what makes it fun for me is that the new stuff is more of a challenge. You have all these cool things you can do and you actually need to use them to survive on a near-constant basis.
FYI its not exp based or discovery, ive had it happen without either of those things
Thanks for making a video. The more information we can provide, the better.
The issue here is that Revenants are supposed to manage 1 resource: Energy.
What? Who ever told you that?
I was going to say the same thing. Revenant is its own thing, not a thief or anything else. There have been cooldown on some skills from the beginning.
It certainly is true that there are more cooldowns now, and cooldowns vs higher energy costs is a discussion worth having, but I don’t recall Roy or anyone else ever promising there would be no cooldowns or that energy was the only resource.
I happen to like the combo.

Not so much related but I noticed Shiro Impossible Odds stance deactivates when you enter a new territory of a map. Not switching maps – but when you are exploring and a new area ia discovered it deactivates.
Confirmed with all Glint Facets (other than F2, which I forgot to check) and Jalis Hammers at several borders in Mount Maelstrom just now.
This does NOT need to be a newly discovered area. Switching to another area in the same zone switches off all Glint facets. This can even occur during combat.

What is it you plan on doing in WvW? I’m no expert there, but if you plan on running in a Zerg, I’m fairly sure you are going to want something more durable than Berserker gear.
That’s exactly what it was. Just started after recent build, though.
The area transitions? If it is, then probably the same bug (or closely related to) the IO problem on Shiro.
You need all the damage modifiers, but yeah, I believe that if all the stars align in the sky, it’s possible.
But it is worth noting that cruel repercussion is on a 15 second cooldown.
Next time that happens, take note of whether or not you changed areas within the zone. By areas, I mean the white names on the map.
The only change the skill needs is to make it an aoe that pulses twice per second and make the hammer simply a visual effect. although that might make it so it doesn’t steal life, which would be a tradeoff for the usability
The problem is that the mentor tag is far too easy to obtain and there are individuals that think they have the right to tell everyone what to do simply because they choose to display it.
There was a really interesting Dev post about skills like that a few weeks back, talking about the multiple path checks they go through. Iirc, what happens in a case like that is the first check passes, but then the second one fails, because one or both of the parties moved.
If that’s the case, I wonder why they can’t use the initial check as a fallback for the result of the skill use. For example, your target is moving. The initial check is ok, but the second one fails, so instead of moving to the exact spot they are you go to the location from the first check.
Honestly, I can’t believe how quickly so many people have become so selfish. Half the posts you can tell what spec people are using because they think x and y are fine, but how could you even think about doing z.
This was a fairly friendly, mostly productive little corner of the forum for a long time. I’d hoped it might stay that way a little longer. Hard to imagine that the way people are behaving.
Ah I see! So to get 100% crit, I should have ~60% without Fury?
For solo play, but most people suggest trying to get to around 50 or maybe even a bit less depending on how likely you are to be with a Ranger using Spotter and/or a Warrior with Banner of Discipline.
