I’ve been trying to learn Rev recently. Tried the Shiro/Glint metabattle build. Every time I switch to Shiro I just get bombed by condis and die.

Is it really? He said it is one of the best, which is as far reaching a comment as you can get. What’s there to debate about that? He isn’t saying it is the definitive best.
The developers should rarely ever have to dumb down a game system for people who choose not to adapt or participate, because even with difficulty reduced there can still be other people who call it out for being too hard.
But Soul Marks do exist and the only other real contender for that line is SR adpet 3 if you have spite GM 3. I actually think marks are great for burning someones dodge. By the time you’re actually fighting on point they can’t really dodge it anyways since it’ll go off instantly.
I actually thought about the ‘mechanics’ behind it. And I may be wrong here, but wouldn’t selecting equip all basically run a ‘equip’ script as though it would if you double clicked it manually. This is why I think the idea is doable.
Its not supposed to be a build template, its a fast equip. And I totally expect some weapons to get into the wrong slots and whatever, or a both hand item getting into the wrong hand. It’d probably screw up equipping accessories and rings too <_< god i wish we only had 1 slot for accessories and rings.
If you weren’t a chrono it’d probably refuse to equip the shield, or do what it does now, keeps it inactive.

Why do I need to make my own concepts? It’s not a forum rule and you posted it here, is open for anyone to scrutinise. And i choose to scrutinise. You can choose to ignore me, that does change the fact i think the concept is fanciful and not well thought out. What, do you only expect people to come here with praise?
Look at how your ‘bullet system’ will interact with the five core traits, oh that’s right, it pretty much won’t. Anything that’s to do with initiative gets thrown out the door.
As far as concept specs go I’ve seen far better.
Gear doesn’t really with like that in this game. There are popular gear stat combinations that works on a number of classes, and it’s in your best interest to obtain gear that can either be used across several characters or are consistently valid for end game. Anything before level 80 is transient salvage trash, and you shouldn’t spend time accumulating it.

Do you have HoT? Any of the HotT map ones are good because they can contribute towards an ascended trinket. The dungeon tracks are kinda lack lustre

Naturally would end up using one of the Core Class Weapons under the Gunslinger in returning to the Classical Initiative System.
The mentioned “Bullet System” should replace the Initiative System only in the case, where you play also ONLY with gun weapons – so Rifle and Dual Pistols.
However, your comment lead to the point, that I realized that I forget to mention the conceptional Dual Pistol Skills under my Gunslinger and to include them also in the Traits better, cause I posted only the stuff for the Rifle – so in this case had your comment something good to remember me on this missing part.So heres the missing part for Dual Pistols (Using the Spec will replace the Initiative based Pistol Skills with them)
Stealth Skill
Silent Snake – You will shoot out with both pistols from stealth a salvo of venomous bullets, that will hit in a 180 degree angle all targets in front and at the sides of you
Hit targets will get several stacks of Poison and will get stunned also as well if the added Poison hits target that suffer togeher with the added Poison on more than 3 conditionsWeapon Skills

Gawd, I can talk about the need for tutorials til the cows come home. I think one of the major issues with the lack of tutorials is also the UI is not very good for SPvP. The minimap for example: complete lack of consistency across all maps, some have too much detail, some are zoomed in weird and even after they updated the minimap ping they gave them all these useless icons.
Look at Dota2. You ping an enemy tower and it gets a sword icon on the minimap. You ping your own tower, you get a shield icon. Simple messages for attack and defend.

That definition applies to every business that’s ever operated, to one degree or another. Plans change, resources change, outlooks change, needs change, statistics change, etc.
Every MMO and every game dev is known for something and Anet/GW2 is known in MMO circles are known for it following through. The peter molyneux of the MMO world this is the image GW2 carved out for itself and it’s the image people hear about when comparing Anet to other devs because it consistency is way beyond normal.

I said clearly – necro has easy entry (hp, ds, minions, staff too if someone loves it). But getting good on necro vs opponents who know their stuff, that’s another story.
Er, staff is quite often taken to SPvP on necro. It is great utility.

I can see the value and attraction of teams. The problem is that teams got placed against solos and abused it heavily.

Ok, since Arenanet just won’t give us build templates, this might be a good solution.
The stretchable equipment bag [SEB] is an equipment bag with the standard features of the invisible bag and the equipment bag and one more: it has a variable limit.
Here is the caveat, it will only take bound items, and only one of each armour piece, 2 accessories, 2 earrings, 1 amulet, 1 back piece and up to 4 one hand weapons or 2 two hand weapons.
See what I’m getting at yet? Best of all this bag has the feature: equip all, where it will equip all items in the bag and unequip all currently equipped items and put them in this bag.

Meh….I think we’re better off with 5v5. OP, I suggest advocating for a new game type, like TDM, if you want 4v4 or 3v3. Here’s why. IMO, the simplicity and format of TDM can easily allow team-scaling. Conquest, on the other hand, contains a key factor: capture-points. Any team-scaling or reduction can easily throw conquest off-balance.
Example, two bunkers: 1 home, 1 mid. With two bunkers, you don’t even need far. Just have the other 2 rotate between home and mid as needed. With this, you can pretty much lock down the opposing team. This is why you need that fifth player to tip the scale.
Besides, you say 5v5 is hectic? Ha! Try 8v8. Yep, I played since those days. Even though it was fun, it was a MESS lol.
Looking back, I’d say 5v5 is the sweet spot for conquest.
Well, by that argument, you can still have 3 bunkers and do exactly the same thing in 5v5. The meta is phasing out bunkers anyways, so I don’t think thats a problem. I was around for the 8v8 days too.
The balance will be better simply because there are less things to balance. Its like how in GW1 balance became a nightmare because the pool of items that interacted with each other got too big.

practically every skill a necro has at their disposal is out done by some other class .
the on going trend that people keep telling themselves is that necro is an attrition based class , yet you can have that in the guardian .
so . here are some solutions to fix that ..
abilities that do self harm need to be buffed and the self harm removed . disagree
the casting times for skills need to be quicker . maybe on dagger and focus 5
pet health need to be increased . disagree
fear needs to be over all changed . instead of being a skill that does damage , remove the damage and increase the time for the fear itself as a proper cc . strongly disagree
over time for snares and roots need to be increased . disagree
life siphon needs to be increased indifferent
condition transfer needs to be increased from 3 to 6 disagree
and death shroud skills need a speed increase in cast , projectile , and recast of duration needs to be lowered . what?
So overall, I don’t agree!
It’d be nice if all spectral skills had the life force per hit taken buff like armor and walk.

It occurred to me you didn’t read the patch notes, which states when the festivities will begin.
Well since you know what arenanet are doing in the next 30 years you should also tell us if they are making new races and classes, you seem to have 30 years of their game plan in your books.
I think the real problem with PvP is much more severe: the game is old and people are bored. This game released in 2012-ish and the adrenaline is gone. PvE is expected to age gracefully because it attracts long time fans and casuals, but PvP appeals to short term players who have by now discovered other, newer, better competitive games.
WoW released in 2004 and still has tons and tons of players. Many many more players than GW2 does.
WoW is also one of the most infamously popular video games of all time. That and Starcraft were the League of Legends of their day, and will always have fans. Gw2 never, ever had or was expected to gain that much momentum. All I’m saying is, it isn’t completely Anet’s fault PvP is dying. A lot of it is just natural death
It is there fault. People don’t get bored if your game is good. People still play Dota and the original Counter strike today. However, arenanet seem completely clueless as to what the problems in their game are. Look at the ghost thief debacle, whether it was pure coincidence or not, the fact it gets fixed a couple of weeks after someone abuses a raid boss with it instead of when heaps of people bring it up in wvw just leaves a bad taste in people’s mouths. Not only that, they fix it with the most inelegant solution too.
If gw2 pvp is heading to the grave, arenanet are holding the shovel.

There was a time when blighter’s boon benefited from allies, and they just fixed being able to leech through shroud, AND the healing amulets were still around. Those sweet few weeks, unholy sanctuary was awesome.

Yes I’ve read that , but this isn’t just about current development, but also the indefinite future. Back in 2013 they said they plan to do four world altogether, and they also said world 3 will come with red weapons and 4 with purple.
Now that red weapons entered the picture without W3 being added, I fear they permanently decided to cancel all future worlds. Now despise this, there is still a chance W3 & 4 isn’t canceled, but if they are, I don’t want to get disappointed each and every year.

I’m afraid you’ve misread then. Also, never said I was against anet imposing standard models on naked players. I stated I did not want to have to turn on the standard model option, which shows every player as a standard model, to avoid seeing naked players run around in matches.

Ghost thf is still going to be there as perma stealth did not get nerf only the abitly of ghost thf to stay perma stealth and it being able to do a lot of things. So you can still condi ppl out side of traps with other non dmg effects stealth cantrps and be annoying but a ghost thf cant kill ppl unless they revial them self with a trap or a hard hit.
Thieves now have cantrips. Ok.

That’s a strawman argument. They have a plentitude of ways to enforce wearing armour, yet they choose the absolute worse. Could’ve stopped someone from queuing if not wearing armour. Nope. Flat armour rating for nude players. Nope.
