Almost every single one of your post history is about complaining the same thing repeatedly. You need to fix your system.

You have a Intel i5-3570 CPU, one of the top consumer CPU, and get only 8-14FPS. While other people with the same CPU gets 40-60+fps.

would help more if you attached the error log here.

The % downloaded isn’t based on total megabytes, but rather file number.

However, since you haven’t updated for the past 3 months, there would still be a few GB to download, but it won’t be over 10GB

I’ve been playing around with this build in sPVP and I can sure survive a long time without dying, but at the same time I kill less too.

I found turning 180 degree and using withdraw is a nice way to run away from people or get out of harms way. Its so useful thats why I was poking around with roll for initiative since it does the same movement. Gives me two chances to escape.

normal and in-combat movement speeds are different, the SoS still increase the same percentage for both cases.

bluescreens are usually due to driver issues and sometimes hardware failure.

Need the BSOD error code to even being troubleshooting.

• Reboot the computer
• Move the GW2 installation folder to another drive or root directory
• Check folder permissions

“smooth” is pretty subjective. Some people define it as stable 60fps, while others are perfectly happy with 30+fps.

No such CPU can get stable 60fps in WvW currently, but with the latest generation of cpu you can at least get 30+ fps at min which is very playable.

My CPU isn’t the limiting factor, pretty sure of that.

I’m pretty sure your CPU is the limiting factor in terms of FPS, especially heavy zerg battles in WvW.

As for ram, its all up to your usage. GW2 won’t benefit, but you can sure multitask more. (Maybe have 150 webpages loaded in background just cuz you can)

Its cheap, if you can afford it why not max it.

• check GPU temp, could be hardware issue (See Part 5.1 for tools)
• you sure its the GPU noise? could be HD (I couldn’t hear anything other than background noise from you moving the camera so much.)

MSIMG32.dll system file is missing or got corrupt either by faulty disk or malware infection.

You can attempt to repair/restore the file, but I highly suggest clean re-installation of the OS.

meaning gameplay will be laggy; as in fps will drop low.

All the connections with port 6112 is failing from your log.

Should look at your firewall settings on your computer and/or router.

update the firmware of your router, or better yet use dd-wrt
disable SPI feature if you can on router it might help

you tried most of the common troubleshooting things
have you tried clean installation of windows?

As Pandem said, this is not network lag, but actually graphical lag due to hardware.

Depends what you define as “well”
You will be able to do PVE content on low settings okay, everything else not so much.

Building a new computer specifically to play guild wars 2 better. The one I have at home is great, and runs it on max settings with out a problem at all. However it cost me 5k to build.

The one at work is a q6600, 4gigs, gtx285. its in dire need of an upgrade.

Currently going for an i5 3570, 16 gigs of ram, 128 gig sata III ssd , and an nvidia 660ti 3gb.

What Im trying to do is drop the cost from around 1200 to around 1k.

What I would like to know is where I can make a cut back without suffering, or creating a bottle neck in my performance.

Ideas?

1. thing CPU
2. thing GPU
   everything else you can cut back, but the things you listed is already well below 1k completely built.

Should look into building your own system for gaming, its cheaper. You can start off with a good CPU like i5-3570k (use it’s integrated gpu) and then buy a better dedicated GPU later.

AMD bought ATI, so they are the same thing. Look at your Catalyst control panel for settings.

Try reinstalling the drivers from amd.com

Computer 2 has a better CPU & GPU than computer 1, but it will still run gw2 on low settings. PVE/PVP playable, WvW not so well.

try using MSI afterburner to set the frame limiting

SPI feature of some routers are known to cause issues with GW2. Try disabling them if possible. Better yet replace the firmware with DD-WRT

• delete your local.dat file to reset back to default settings.
• check your intel/ati/nvidia profile settings

If you need to upgrade hardware see Part 2.2 to know what to get within your budget.

Two methods

1. You can fully patch one computer, copy the GW2.dat (~15gb) file to another computer.
2. Use delta or block-level syncing applications (essentially what GW2 client does hence they don’t use incremental patches)

• right click and run as admin
• check 3rd party AV/Security software

im waiting for my new comp parts to be shipped and im curious as to how much performance ill get out of it. Im wanting to be able to play and never lag no matter how massive the fight and record at the same time if i can. Will i get that out of my new rig? Also will high settings graphics be possible or no?

specs: Gpu- GeForce 660 ti , CPU- i7 3770k 3.4 ghz (3.9 turbo), RAM 18 gigs
