i did it with rifle/gs 0/20/30/0/20 no food buff, lyssa runes, shake it off, fear me, signet of stamina.
just kite her with rifle clockwise. if you have the right timing you dont even need to dodge the aoe.

Necromancers are grossly underpowered in PvE at the moment. If a nerf happens it needs to be SPvP only like the Dhuumfire one. Our sustain doesn’t even function in bigger fights.

What we need is a proper split. Balancing this game around dueling and SPvP will lead to its doom.

try power necro in pve, very very strong. ghastly claws hits up to 12k.

Warrior class was too OP for tournament so they banned it. Not sure how Defektive slipped in but commentators were so focused on counting all the condis flying around they probably didnt notice lone warrior.

l2p, stunbreak, teleport, evade, blind, block, chill, cripple, fear, stability, so many counterplay to that mace build. just outplay the opponent and dont go into a fight thinking you will just faceroll that warrior. your fault. i have no problems at all to fight such warriors with my thief, warrior, mesmer or guardian.

hey,
by default you have to press the shift key to draw on your mini map. i have dodge on shift so i cant ping nor draw on that minimap without dodging.
i would appreciate if you could change that keybind in the options.

and maybe the strg and alt key for showing enemy/ally names, too.

we did t4 two times with a 5 man party. its very painful. you need to stay in the spawnzone of the plunderers. the left one, which is farthest away. kill them if they spawn and dont aggro the mobs. you need to immediatly immobilize or stun them. if they move a little bit kill them on returning. you need pull skills for the plunderers which spawn in the nearest zone or else you will get too much aggro. if you have too many mobs aggro try to reset them.
you need to be a little bit lucky, sometimes the mobs are spawning very badly and you will get aggro of many then you can restart without any further ado.
if you get aggro of one veteran pull him (with pull skills) to the spawn zone and kill him, but focus on plunderers.

Living story Achievements take too much time

You guys do know that achievements are SUPPOSED to be difficult and/or time consuming, right?

This is not the issue at all. Being time limited is the issue. I don’t care if it takes me 20 hours to get a single achievement, as long as I am free to spend those 20 hours over the course of how ever long I want to spend it. Having to spend 20 hours within a very limited window is where the real issue lies.

If you look at the achievements that have been around since launch such as the slayer achievements or the jumping puzzles, people can work towards those goals over the long term and are not forced to focus solely on ones they know are going to disappear. If I want to spend today farming 500+ bats for the bat slayer achievement b/c I feel like it, and then 2 months later want to do the same thing to finish it off, then I am free to do that. If I wanted to get 7 races done today in the Sanctum Sprinter (b/c I felt like it) and finish the rest 2 months from now, that is not possible. Meaning I now would have to “force” myself to finish those races even if I did not feel like doing them at that particular time. (This is only an example, so please take this with a grain of salt.)

every two weeks is good! but they need to tone down the achievements you need to do in the living story. thats all.

they should add new achievements in the world which have no time restrictions, they can be difficult ones, so you can earn achievement points and dont need to grind the living story.

You’re turning the achievement system into a quest giver system. Don’t do that, please. Achievements should be a nice reward for players on the side, they should NOT be the main focus of the endgame/living story.

The living story is too achievement heavy. you need to tone it down. make new achievements in the world but NOT in the content updates (with time restrictions)!

The more I try and get the achievements in the mini-games, the more it feels like getting a job at your favourite restaurant. At first it is totally radical that you can eat all the stuff you like, but after a few months you hate it so much you don’t even want to smell it.

The problem of course is that ANet for some reason tends to create achievements that, for the average player, require a lot of games to get.

For me anyway, it means that by the time I’m done the achievements, I never, ever want to see the game again. Even the ones I liked at first are now the last thing I want to do in game.

There must be a better way to integrate achievements, with out ruining the games.

This so much! We had so many mini-games so far (too much in my opinion). They are funny in the first 10-30 min and then tends to get boring quickly. The problem here is the achievements in minigames with time restrictions. People can argue that you dont need to do them, but with the new reward system you do need the points.
And the OP is totally right that by the time you did all the achievements for minigames you are totally frustrated with them and dont want to see it ever again (there are some exceptions).
you dont need to add a new minigame in every content update or make it the only new thing a patch delivers (cutthroad politics = 2 new minigames and some tokens).
1 achievement for a new minigame is enough (like play the game 5 times and maybe one achievements for winning this game once).

Watching the tournament

It’s actually what other games do…
They start streaming the tournament at a delay and jump back for replays where need be…

Honestly these guys should stream it at an hour~ delay so they have time to watch the match beforehand and get a good grasp on everything that happens, and THEN cast it…

And the viewers know the outcome? That would be very boring. I enjoyed the matches. They could be improved in a way so that viewers can decide for themselfs what to watch in whos point of view.

Only that that really bugs me is the in-combat move reduction. There is nothing and I mean nothing, that makes any sort of sense about it.
It drives me nuts to have to run and dodge through mobs to get hit once and have deal the CC/pinball game GW2 turns into.

Fear is a control effect, not a stun. Yeah, stunbreakers are a misleading name, “control effect-breaker”.
A stun in gw2 is a control effect in which you cant do anything and you are rooted. There arent many skills that stun.

friend of mine did a power build and claimed to get 6k crits auto attack in death shroud and nearly 100% crits. i would say, this is kind of op.

Piken Square vs Augury Rock vs Riverside

Generally the fighting style of riverside is as follows: Run around in a borderland in a group that consist of everyone currently on a border. Only attack if victory seems certain and otherwise run to nearest fortified keep. Never fight on open ground because thats where they loose.

This is basically the generell fighting style of all upper tier servers. This is fact. Sometimes you have an equally big zerg on your map, and sometimes you dont and will get destroyed. Its not only Riverside with this problem. Its Augury Rock, Piken-Square, and so on.
Never fight on open ground? Well, if we are outnumbered, i would often run too. Maybe outnumbered 1:2 is ok but only if i’m with my guildgroup. Then we take on fights til 1:4 (and no we dont win every time – this is not a brag). And we saw many people at Piken and Augury which run away although they were in superior numbers. So there are people on every server like that.
We like to defend, its so much fun and you get many badges. And i dont know why all servers brag about winning badges anyways, its nothing special.

All your accusations to Riverside, i see at every server in every bracket i was in.

My goodness man, if you want people to believe what you’re saying, at least yuz praupr gramer nd speling.

What people want on GW2LFG does not equal what is actually the case. I’ve seen far too many a person on these forums say that “oh, thieves are awful for PvE and dungeons” and yet have not been able to back up their case at all. They’ll say things like you do- “Well, why doesn’t anybody want thieves on GW2LFG?”- and use that as evidence that thieves are bad for PvE/ Dungeon runs. Then they’ll do everything they can to keep themselves from having a thief in their group. It’s a self-perpetuating bias, and it’s theoretically incorrect: thieves have a lot to bring to the party with aggression, stealth, teleports, mitigation, etc.

And if ur not bs full zerk thief u are a noob.

There is nothing “BS” about full zerker thief. In fact, I’m aiming for lots of zerker armor myself right now. I run a 0/0/20/30/20 D/P build that relies on tons of mitigation, constant initiative regeneration, stealth, high mobility, great healing, and flexibility to survive. Because I have 200 in Toughness and Healing, 300 in Vitality (+3000 HP), and +30% boon duration, I’m balancing out those stats with zerker gear which gives me offensive opportunities. The result? A very balanced out thief that is awesomely survivable and yet can really punch a blow into my opponents’ defenses.

I don’t see any reason why you couldn’t use more defensive gear, with, say, a 20/30/0/0/20 build without being called a noob.

Lolwut? This is completely nonsensical. Even before the patch, engis did a ton of DPS via conditions and explosives.

Then, looking at the patch notes, thieves didn’t even get a single damage nerf. We just had Revealed increased by 1 second. I mean, seriously? Where are you getting these ideas of decreased DPS?

Thank you, i totally agree with your post and i hope many others do, because the QQ is unbelievable.
Its not that you have so much competition in PvE or any DPSmeters anyways. I like the playstyle on my thieves and i dont call the +1s revelead that big of a nerf. You just need to relearn some rotations and its not that bad like guardian GS skill swap was.

I’m just gonna assume you don’t play a thief at all. Ignorance at its finest. Anyways, yeah, it isn’t unplayable, but that’s not the point. The point is how combat chains and combos flow and the flow is kittened due to an extra second. After playing a thief for so long, you eventually get used to 3 seconds. So with that extra second, for example, I waste 6 initiatives on CnD because of the habit, or I mean, tendency to use CnD after 3 seconds. For the guy who said you’d have to relearn the class, it’s partially true. I gave up on my p/d build because I lose an extra 6 stack of bleeds in dps and wasted alot of time experimenting like I did when I first started PvP. The whole backstab build and glass cannons isn’t how I’d like to play, I’d rather be able to stay in a fight and not have to back out after popping my cool downs on one person for the initial burst.

maybe you are the ignorant one. i have 2 thieves. one with world completion and another one will hit 80 soon, too. thieves arent strong or good in pve, thats granted. but they are just (too) strong in wvw, spvp its okay but just because you cant conquer a point with stealth.

they are far from unplayable or broken. the +1s revealed is a minor stealth nerf.

whats the point in knock back? you as a warrior want the enemy standing right by your side. you want a pull, you want a knock down.

knock back is extremly situational (just for kicking someone off a cliff…).

in no way it will increase the damage by 10%. its more like 2-3%. so i dont think it will be a big think, maybe only against guardian+ele defbunker. thats working as intended, but in my opinion it would be pretty underwhelming.

warrior skills/traits not on par with others

I’ve brought it up multiple times with Rush, Bull’s Charge, Whirlwind etc. The Warrior’s movement skills are the only movement skills in the entire game that are affected by movement impairing effects. Not even dodge roll is affected by them.

I don’t consider your vigor thing a legitimate gripe. While you’re right and the Warrior’s only grants swiftness, the Signet of Stamina increases regen which other classes don’t all have. Now that said, it would be nice if the Warrior had a signet to remove a condition every 10 seconds like many other classes.

I’m not sure what you’re trying to get at with Eviscerate. It’s not comparable to heartseaker in any fashion so why bother trying?

I get your point. We have the signet which gives us passiv endurance regeneration but we need one utility for that, others like ranger has an adept minor trait which gives 50% better endurance regeneration. That cannot be compared.

But traits with effect on crit can. And we have a 10% on crit and all other classes a 100% effect on crit. Thats the point.

With Heartseeker not comparable to Eviscerate, you are probably right. Eviscerate << Heartseeker (im just raging).

Go to each other profession forum, and look around. You will see
a topic with the same heading.

It should be titled: Not all are useful or used. I play a 80 Ele, War
and Thief, and know that 50% or more of skills are unused.

I know that all professions have some traits and skills which are useless. But its not what i meant. I just compare traits and skills which are sort of the same. It would be boring if all professions have the same skills, but some are intended to be the same. Like the signets which give +25% movement speed. First only the thief got 25% and other classes with the same signet only got 10%. Its just not fair and should be adjusted. And because its the warrior forum, i wrote such skills/traits from the warrior, which falls in this category in my opinion.

I know of flaws of other professions, i have 80 of all professions except ranger and engineer.

Empowered (Warrior major adept trait)
In-game description: “Increases damage for every boon on you”
wiki: +2% damage per unique boon

Power of the Virtuous (Guardian minor grandmaster trait)
In-game description: “Deal extra damage for each boon you have.”

Bountiful Power Power (Elementalist minor grandmaster trait)
In-game description: “Deal 2% more damage for each boon on you.”
wiki: +1% damage per unique boon

An adapet trait more powerful/equal to a grandmaster trait. I would say it is overwhelming in comparison to others.

So guardians only get +1% per boon. But they can compensate it with their numbers of boons they can apply. Warriors needs some others to apply boons to them, but with that in mind the guardian has nevertheless much more boon uptime.
