He autoattack and wont stop in phase 2. Even with thief vigor traits its not duoable…they have simply promoted 1 shotting instead of removing it…I do have a lvl 80 guard but never feltt like I had to chose him for arah be4 now….

Writing on a phone so hard :p but I will try. They have recently changed lupi so it cant be meeled in phase 2 this way soloing him would ne harder. Only problem is, instead of making people want to play together they made it useless to even have anyone else….I am personally fine with the devs not wanting it to be soloable….but all they did was to punish thoese players who go throug every phase and reward one shoting it…

then you dont even need to dodge/block his aoe, he shadowsteps away, you are in a palce his aoe cant reach/wall and then he shadowsteps back. Kinda makes phase 2 really easy.

It really seems like that the last thing to do, is simply reworking the actual skill on reflecting. I have nothing on programming, but is it possible for A-Net to only focus on the skill and make it simply ignore reflect and keep moving towards ground/target without disroubting anything else that the boss can do or cant do?

Yeah, what I hope for, is to remove definitely exploits as jumping over map, and to bring back lupi so avoiding him by insta killing is not an option anymore, so it still keeps it status as being one of the toughest in game soloable bosses.

Making him stationary would get rid of the wall from guard, the damage done would be decreased by alot, this would not interfere with melee to super melee, might be exploited by the fact that his aoe + other attacks only have a certain reach and not far enough to cover whole map, which I know that can be exploited since he wont shadow step anymore, which is a huge debuff rather than a fix.

What does that mean? That the run is legit and havent been stolen (ehich kinda doesnt make sense, since everyone can claim that) or that it is a full legit run where every boss have been killed? (Only sold around 10 dungeons with my thief and havent asked about things like this yet)

They should fix the CoE Alpha crystal bug before even thinking about redoing any of these lesser bugs. Nothing annoys me more than being effed over by shoddy game mechanics.

Yeah maybe, only difference is that in selling lvl 80 dungeon paths means alot more money is on the line……but every arguement really subjective towards what they should should focus on….either lvl 80 for economy in game hardcore stuff or lesser lvl dungeons for more fun. Honestly both arguements are good and depends on where you are in game

Stationary would make it harder to reflect. Unblockable makes it very hard for warriors and guards (I am a thief so doesnt matter for me, just thinking it wouldnt be worth it) he is never stuck on anything, he just gets pushed, as a thief you will see difference since you need to move him around alot in phase one….unless if ussing s/p.

Really? Seen as a bug by alot of players…..and seem more like a “clever” way to abuse the dungeon to me…….and tbh. The only clever one to use this, is basecly the first guard to find out about this. After that it is basecly repeat process and abuse, which made a simewhat hard boss turn out to be easy

There are huge bugs in arah and other dungeons……everything from jumping over the actual dungeon to skip bosses and the popular 1 shot lupi…..They have been there for a long time, please remove them….

I haven’t been keeping up with HoT news, but IF they decide to go back and change any dungeon bosses with the new Defiance bar, I assume dungeon solo’ing will become much more difficult

Seems, like it would be longer, but prob not difficult since it takes some precise dodging and dmg to complete them…..but ye, hope they atleast fix bugs in arah, annoying that some ppl still one shot so long after release -.-

At this point, alot of people can solo dungeons etc. What I hope for, is that people could gain something from soloing dungeons aswell as it gets more hardcore, it is easiere to focus on removing bad bugs as skipping and one shot, and the people soloing the dungeon, would not be scared of having the need to sell them “could also include achivements if solo specific dungeons”

I know that there alot of people who would feel left out for not soloing dungeons, but feel like this could be one of the hardcore features, what do you think?

Is one shot a legit bug? I ask this since alot of people seem to use it. Personally not a fan of one shot, it kills the idea behind the dungeon, but might be because my main is not guard abd i like to solo arah?

Consider me pretty disappointed then……..I am all in for new stuff, the only thing I am looking forward for is the mastery system and guild hall tbh, the way that you can learn languages by obtaining them seems pretty cool, and since I already got the best gear out there, the whole zerging around SW like map will be ultra worthless for me since I only get the money I need, if I dont see myself spending gold on something online I will probably use it on gems like before ascended came out and also because precursors will be free.

What I want is an experience with the change of the world, small civilizations we see now just starting growing bigger, places which were locked up before to open (ofcourse not the new civilization places, but in general just all the “work in progress” places).

Do we know anything about it yet? Will it be an adventure like Journey from playstation or more of a Fractal run?

Really hope its the first part, even though the whole running around with an NPC telling you stuff, it kinda does get old, what I want is what we got from caithe, just longer and more interesting with less killing and more exploring of huge things, even a silent rytlock that is lost in an adventurous mist/forest/desert would be awesome if it is pulled out in a somewhat Journey like game…………plz dont make it boring to get a precursor

I have read a bit, and I agree on 1 thing….
As it is now, the dungeons are targeted towards 5 players, not what the professions are, or builds…..what if they changed that and made it alot more direct/detailed, so instead of acting upon how many people are inside, each dungeon reads the different stats and acknowledge them combined or 1 by 1 (of course it got a minimum HP/dmg so that 5 people are needed)?

(Really the only way I can see this work, without this game needs to change to different “builds” each time)

Wow, clearly people DO NOT understand how little an Arbitrary level cap increase would ACTUALLY do and mean to them…

NOTHING.

Fun tbh, not increasing it would probably lead to grind rather than fun, since everyone already got the best gear out there, tbh, I started in gw2 because its fun, honestly the only game that I lvl capped into, because it was fun capping, from the story to even discovering something new, I would like that back rather than pretending to be a big shot with my 2-3 lvl capped full geared characters with gear on each of them that at least looks like it costed 500 gold+ while running through each new event because I dont need to watch them and my time would be better spend if I just ran through…

But beside that, ye I can see why people would be mad if A-Net decided to make every gear I got useless

Yeah, giving the other a role would help, but wouldn’t that just instantly return to the trinity problem? where there is a healer/tank/dps since the others also need a role, I cant see a way out of this beside giving healing a significant boost and tank/bunker more agro + armor? (which will in the end just make this game into WoW with better graphics o.o…)

But if they could somehow fix it, without making it a trinity problem, or that they need a certain role for each dungeon, then it would be awesome, especially if no matter the combination, the fast runs would end at around the same time.

what if they change the times to only work at lvl 1-80 and give us to 120 or something? (since gw2 probably would focus more on the players that have been staying here for while, I still can see alot of awesome things happen, and I honestly don’t want a expansion where I basically already got everything I need from the beginning.

(upgrades to certain armor for those who that really dont want them to touch their precious armor, like ascended, would also be an option A-Net already have done a couple of times)

wow, alot of people really dont want anything to happen to their precious ascended gear o.o…….I got some ascended, would like to see the level cap aswell, honestly dont want to run throug it all without any reason what so ever, what is the point of having new maps if already are level capped? people will just try to run them as fast as they can….

If people don’t want to do the new maps, they won’t do them anyway? They will just use level tomes or run EotM. Also, Silverwastes and Drytop are level-cap zones. And yet people go there. Even in other MMOs like WoW that have frequent level cap raising, many people just run old dungeons together to speed level to the new max.

problem is that they are not encouraged to do them, they simply do them out of boredom or “unique events” I want to be encouraged to dungeons because of gold etc, I want to be encouraged to actually see what is in that part of map…. Yes I do understand that there might also be a map completion in the new expansion, but in all honesty, it feels more of a grind than actually exploring, like when I saw the cities for the first time, or when I hear what they are saying……..As soon as I got lvl 80 I mainly skipped all the hard work gw2 did because I literally didnt need it…..and also because people encourage you to run through things

(I came a little late to the game, so I haven’t seen all dungeons intros etc).

I am more or less trying to get into gw2 slowly, what I have noticed, is that many people see zerker as a problem, I kinda do too, mainly because the whole “only zerker” thing in dungeon runs.

But what is the alternative, do people mainly want something like bunker to prevail over zerker or…?

All in all, would like an explanation, because I got both, and got to admit, a bit more fun playing with a huge damage dealer (glass cannon) rather than a bunker sitting there and slowly pulling hp off opponent while receiving pretty low damage.

(This is normaly seen as both in PvP and PvE, I dont want to rule 1 out)

I am not going to BS ppl, there will be no to minimum reason for buying a mount, if it can not give some sort of movement speed.
I will make this whole arguement simple btw.
Best arguement against it, is that it would take so much screen space, everything else….just feels so shallow, or dumb.
I would love to have a mount on a 25% movement speed, beside the screen space, I cant see why not?
Gw2 already got a turn off the players look, so it is not hard to remove a mount from the screen, right?
Now plz….dont come up with a childish answer as “go play wow, if you like mounts.” Since this is a suggestion box, we expect that people come up with ideas, that would increase the fun of the game.
It is as simple as……Do Arena Net want to make mounts in the future? What would it do with the game, would it change it all (I highly doubt it….), can they make it removeble from the screen?
Answer is:
No. Probably just change the looks, since even the movement speed would be the same, or nothing, if they can remove the look of another mounted player (just the mount).
I mean, there are still that “If Anet dont want it, why should we?” factor, but if you think really simpel, like a normal game…….would it actually do any difference? probably not, would just be another exotic armor. Even if it would, would be a benifit from making players choose different mounts, colors etc……..
Would still be far from what the game is really about, just another great thing you can do.

players actually making the map? do you know how much work that would take to implement!? and even if that were to happen, there would be some serious issues with that, for example, someone makes a troll map with just endless obstacles everywhere and jump pads/teleport pads, giant laser cannons aiming straight at the other teams base when they spawn. If I understood that correctly. Though I see what you really mean. It would be nice to have more maps and all that, but the players just should not be able to make their own map with ridiculous mechanics 10x more than sky hammer.

Well, the idea, was just that we got a platform, stuff we could lengten or made smaller.
You have probably seen alot of games that uses this kind of system, from the race games to little big planet.
But no, I do not know how much time that would take to implement such a system?

Hey everyone!
I want everyone to be able to make their own arena field…..
What does that mean?
It is as simple as it sounds, this way the map and rules will be unique everywhere, besides in the TPvP, or in the normal matches in spvp. This is a way to give us more “freedom” in what we want, if there is alot of games we can join and have fun with. The deathmatches can be looking like a city or just a small platform.
This way we will have more fun, by swithing to something new, each time.
Creating our own map with like putting stones, bridges etc up. I mean, see for youself a map, you would love to be played on a pvp map, one you would know would be fun and popular.
Only real – would be that it might be liked more, than capture the point. Which is what ANet is focussing on. But the chances are small, since people might see this as a fun thing. Like a map from…idk if I can put names from other games but…Digimon/pokemon, to something as new as…idk skyrim?
Well, that is my thougts on what could be improven in Gw2

and a bigger dynamic event
(build changes, on the fly)
Is still on my top list. But this is basecly to hit every aspect of this game. since it does not look like they are going to implement a new mode regarding to pvp, I would like this to become a reality.

Nerfs are mainly reduced vigor duration and cast time for swords shadow return on sword.

The reduced initiative gain on traits is not a real nerf since the base regeneration is increased. It just changes that you dont need those traits anymore. they will become useless like the improvisation trait.

you basicaly cant go for perma stealth which is one way of playing thief..Less diversity. Perma stealth thief was no threath because low dmg. Lots of ppl crying because perma stealth has good escape mechanism but thats it..he can run;) Now nerf.. Thief has low hp pool, low armor, now we have evasion nerf – mobility and no more trolling in wvw. Where is the fun in it? Thief after this incoming patch will be good only for dungeons as STEALTH bot for ressing downed players. F******ing r*********ed nerfs.

I disagree. Perma stealth thieves could still hit really hard, which is one reason it was so easy and hated. It really wasn’t a challenge.

Yeah, they did truely hit hard, but I did not hope for a nerf, I hoped for improvements regarding the thiefs. That would just make 1 class unuseble, or less fun to play. I havent seen every class, but I think that we all are getting nerfed, or moved to a position where ANet wants us to be, I hope they know what they are doing

Rogues have always been the bane of MMOs.

They are not meant for group games – Rogues are inherently a solo class.

Play a Warrior.

Please open your eyes, rogues are what you want them to be. Every “I want to get every single coin out of you/WoW copy”. Got this form for system. Guild Wars 2 is all about innovation, moving 1 type of game, that can be/do anything to another. Imagine WvW to truely be about strategic, like a group over 2 walls, where a zerg group is walking down there, then ppl shoot like a 1000 arrows down there to kill them all, or that they use every class, by saying that the thiefs stealth behind them, where the different commanders for each class can make a writing, then it will be signed like that green arrow in single player. Example:
Your a guardian, your walking with alot of people, then there will be a green arrow, and a note on your screen saying “Put armor on”. You see guardians group take front while sins take behind while rangers moves a bit.
Open your eyes, everything can be made in a game like this.
Now open your eyes and see how fair a thief can get.

Fun is purely subjective. I love fighting other Thieves, therefore your whole thread is wrong.

It is purely objective, I looked at this on. I read it again, and cant see why this thread should be subjective?
I have to be sceptic on what you are writing to me, your saying that you like playing against a thief. Thoug, I guess your even thinking about 1 match, you recently had, or just that you only walk around in groups, which makes it hard for a thief to 1v1 you, which again makes your post invalid or atleast less valid, since your going towards that part saying that I can avoid them, or that I should go with a group to make thiefs fighting worth it.
In other words, your saying that I have to do something about this if I dont like it, not asking A-Net to change it. Thoug alot of people is not like/hating this form of stealth.
Not asking to nerf it, asking them to change it, they can simply change it, as well as removing a stone, just taking a bit longer, so dont make us choose between plague or cholera, when you can make something alot better.
Thoug looks like they are taking no part by saying “We did this unique form for stealth, you can still play it, thoug it will be less worthful than some of the others.” In other words, instead of changing it, they made it less worthful, it will be close to useless after that.

D/P thieves using perma-stealth and massive init regen were OP at least in WvW. Practically nobody liked fighting against them and they could simply keep resetting the fight until an enemy was on cooldown. The only way to kill them was poor play or multiple mistakes on their part.

Evasion/Sword… yeah that sucks (at least for WvW). The other builds are likely going to see a minor improvement.

That is true, it is mainly just annoying/boring to play against them.

Guys, we can all agree on that thiefs are FAR from OP……Thoese who complain because of that, normaly have not tried the thief.

Thoug everyone who do not have a thief as a main, can ALL agree on, that is boring/annoying/not fun at all, to fight a thief. Everyone mainly take the fight up, as soon as the thief go invis a few times, be4 thiefs get low in health in for example WvW people think….
“What is wrong with him? cant he see how boring it is to fight against that?”
I want A-net to change that, so all classes are fun to fight against.

You can argue, with that in Gw2, it never asks you to go directly up against any players, at all, if it does it is mainly sPvP and that does not ask you to touch anyone there either, just to def and remove ppl from the points, everything else will just get your team to lose, since you will leave your actual objective and team to fight another player.
But tbh, we take to WvW mainly for the pvp, even in big scales or small.

I wasnt there from the biggining, but A-Nets vision for stealth, was that it should be a rare thing, that would be used wisefully, some do use it wisely, others almost spam every stealth, they have. In other words, if they wanted it to be a rare and smart thing to use, it did not work.

Why do everyone hate to fight against a thief so much in WvW?
That one is simple, thiefs can stealth alot in Gw2, which means they can be everywhere all the time, and you cant see them when they come out of stealth ofc. That means that the actual combat will be annoying, but that is a minor thing, atleast for thoese who can AoE, everyone else prob hate this part alot more.
2. and probably the most important one is, that if you fight a thief, there is no fairness. If your about to win, the thief will ofc just run away by stealthing, which gives a thief a few secs headstart, which makes it just annoying, since you know that there is a slim chance to catch a thief=it is annoying.
There are more, thoug thiese are probably the most important once alot of people do not want to fight a thief.

thiefs are pretty easy to kill, only dumb people want to make a unuseble class. Your innovation is pretty great A-Net, thoug the class itself is a pain to fight against, please change it.
The only excuse for not doing so, is the “not needing to fight against anyone” card, or avoid thiefs.

Looks like alot of people have just given up by avoiding thiefs, or getting used to avoiding them completely in 1v1 fights, by pushing them away.
It needs to be changed, avoiding a class by running away from it as soon as it is a thief, or stealthing, is boring.

New maps?

I would like to see some exciting new maps, but thiese should be based on the different proffessions. This could be pretty exciting.
To see a thief town, dark, mestyrious, fog, creepy vendors all that stuff.
or imagine a mesmer town, everything you see is not what it truely is, also filled with mystereries, ofc a mesmer portal or something to travel around, from spot to spot.
Guardian, you prob already got a picture of guardians holding their guard while the whole town is filled with honor.
Necroes…….ye you get it.

Thiese towns, can be on the same map, so their are kinda like kryta, where the middle is with the 8 representatives, and maybe a small pvp area in the middle, somewhat like a challanging another player, on a place where the walls and ground could represent the 8 professions.
Or it could just be on 8 different places, where the professions, got best use of their abilities, like if ele got a place where the fire, water, wind and earth where there, still dont have the picture myself, but I do believe that there are options

The story is, that alot of the people found it dumb for the races to struggle against eachother, thiese societies have been small and quiet about their position, thoug the rough times have shown them that the world is ready to know about their existence.
(Ekstra stuff, is that they could be hard to locate for the opposing proffesion, like if you needed to mist form to step into the waterfall or lava. This could ofc be a stupid idea, but it depends on how you see it I guess).

Well, that was my idea, comment on how bad/good it was, if it would just wreck or make it more exciting, or if this idea would make LA less popular, since it is my second biggest concern, my first is that it would be a waste of time, sure you can put some great and fun questes in there, like fight the dragon who found thiese/this place, but could still be waste of alot of time.

I like it this way, I don’t want this Horde vs Alliance nonsense in Guild Wars.

Cant you describe what you do not like about it?
I am personaly not a WoW fan, or something that is near that. But their idea, that you will have something to hate on, to creat a bonding with others, is pretty great, both in lore and in the fun of the game.
I mean, the guild vs guild itself, would make guilds wanting to become the top and actually creating “conflict” against eachother, which one is best, who will we face, and are they stronger than us, who is the main guild we dont want to fight, who is with us and against us etc. It would make it more interesting in EVERY part of the game.
Thoug, gotta admit that there are a few people out there, who do not want a system like this.
But it does not matter, A-net already noticed us, that they will not make any of this possible, since they dont want the feeling that I can see your name, and know that it is you whom I am after, to kill.

Guild hall and personal housing

I’m 100% sure that people have been asking for guild halls since alpha testing considering Guild Wars 1 had them and it was the cornerstone of their ranked PvP ladder. So that’s what, years before the game was even released? Either they’re just not going to add them or it’s just a plan to make more money by putting them in an expansion.

Think like Arena Net for a second…….

Just kidding.
Thoug, it took them about a year to creat a lfg tool in the game, even thoug they are saying that they want it to be 100% polished……It looks like its more or less made in a week – max a month…..

Thoug, I agree. Guild Halls would increase the fun of actually being in a guild, and more or less give us a reason to get more involved with our guild.

Yeah, to be honest.
Mounts would be great, Gw2 would earn alot, but what would it do with the gameplay?
I would say that it wouldnt change anything at all, this isnt any sow phased MMO like WoW which is basecly stand still and cast or move around weirdly and cast….
Mounts would be more annoying since it will lead to people just keep running faster in WvW, but that wouldnt do that much tbh
Mounted is prob a def. no, since you wont have dodge, which is worth alot more than speed in this game.
I do agree on cool looking mounts, for running around etc, but the limit hits when it come to pvp.
And waypoints isnt a legit excuse for not having mounts…..idc what ppl say

The kill yourself is a great idea…….But a penalty for killing yourself should be made, its somehow kittened that you can troll people by doing so.
The benifit should be 100% for your opponent, mainly because your taking that stomp in da face satesfaction from them.

so…..suicide yourself=you get a penalty for each time you do it, that can be a decrease of health or just being slow etc. + the enemy gets 100%
This is a great balance, unless if you actually want to troll people.
