GG 5 Mordrem Blooms missing

Mojo Gris Gris.5941

Cause of the reward bug in the beginning of the mordrem event on 10.09. i had no clue how much blooms i already earned.
Now im sitting on 445 blooms beeing kittened as hell!
Anyone else has this problem?

I just received my blooms by mail, and I received 30 blooms.
I’m getting old and fuzzy but I was confident that on day one, I finished the very first invasion with 7 stacks, meaning that I was entitled to 5 from the buff + 20 from the daily map.

Now I’m sitting at kitten . I suppose I have the 5 you miss, now we just have to find a way to trade them…

Sorry for the doulbe post and self quote but… why the heck when I type down the number fourhundred fiftyfive, when I press post it replaces it with the word kitten?_?

If I click edit I see the number displayed correctly…

It’s the kitten filter. The number looks like another word for donkey.

Heck, I was a bit disappointed when I found out the event was only going to last 4 days, but after the brouhaha with rewards and bugs, I’m not even sure I even want to check it out now.

Who am I kidding, right? I know I’ll check it out, but I won’t be the least bit upset if they opt for a mulligan.

Its a good thing it is a currency, esp as ppl have asked for currency based rewards time and time again.

They should however, be in the currency wallet. Its designed for this exact purpose

Haven’t been able to play yet, but are you saying that the new “currency” is yet another inventory clogging token, even after the wallet redesign and all the kittening and moaning it took to get bandit crests, geodes, etc. into it?

Surprising? No. Disappointing?

I thought they put the story step back recently when they fixed the PS. If you passed it on one character before it returned, you may have to do it on another one to get the achievement.

Because they solve problems with sledgehammers/

Silk was too cheap.
Waaaa waaaaa, I salvage silk and can’t get rich selling it!
So in order to consume the excess supply to try to bring the price up to where “economists” felt a t5 mat should be they increased the scrap to bolt recipe from 2-3 and then made the ascended mat cost twice as much as the others.

This did the job quickly. Yay now my silk isn’t worthless!
Wait, now I need 3 times as much silk as other mats when making ascended mats?
And its required for all 3 armor types?

Ascended would have taken plenty of silk even with balanced recipes, there was absolutely no call to make both changes. One of them temporarily I can see, call it initial production costs of 3 scraps per that drops to 2 scraps per later on as either collectively “Tyria learns how to do it” or somply part of the crafting process your character gets more efficient.
I prefer the former method myself as then you have the gotaa have it nows paying the premium initial costs, and burning off the excess supply, without leaving the demand quite so high permanently.

It was ostensibly to bring balance to the prices, but look where they are now.

All this, plus you missed one thing. Elonian leather only takes 50 thick leather, but a bolt of Damask takes 100 bolts of silk.

I wish power/ferocity/condi damage was a thing.

Sure it might seem useless on it’s own, but some classes can build up pretty decent crit rates on their own, particularly guardian which can reach a 58% crit chance without ANY precision at all with a sword. Add in spotter and crit banner and you got a solid crit chance with virtually all the positives of sinister and zerker gear.

As a future Reaper, I would also love to have this stat combination. I can’t think of a good name for it though. Hmm…sinister+berserker…Manic or Maniacal, perhaps?

I’d also like to see a high-ferocity…anything, really. Just to see how it plays in comparison to similar setups.

How about the prefix “Bloodthirsty” or “Sadist’s”?

Hair accessory colors

Mojo Gris Gris.5941

I have always found it more than a little annoying that:

1. You get one shot at character creation to change accessory color. (I simply missed it on my first couple of characters)

2. Your selection of accessory colors are sorely limited compared to the number of ingame dyes.

3. You must use a kit to change the active color of your accessories, and even if you actually paid gems for said kit, you are still limited to a fraction of the available dye colors.

Please, Anet. Either give us a dye channel for accessories, or unlock our available dye colors at creation and kit use. I’m really sick of trying to select an unobtrusive color that I hope won’t stand out from the rest of my dyes.

Which track gives clovers? I don’t remember seeing those listed last I flipped through them.

I’m glad you asked that question. It caused me to check, and I didn’t know this either.

http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mystic_Clover

“PvP Reward Tracks

Currently the final reward chest of each region track as well as the final reward chest of the Balthazar Back Item Reward Track and Glorious Reward Track yield two Mystic Clovers each. The non-repeatable Silverwastes Reward Track yields 7 Mystic Clovers in its final chest."

Mojo Gris Gris.5941

What also puzzles me is I decided to consolidate boosters with powder after the patch and before reading about this change. I pulled a bunch out of my bank and started clicking powder. It zeroed in on the karma boosters first out of all the random things in my bags. Maybe the karma boosters were in the first position in the backpack?

I would have thought it would go for the 1:1 ones first as being more reasonable to convert. I confess noobishness on this, probably I should have paid more attention to the ratios. Still, if it turns out that karma is vital in the expansion I’ll be sad my 50 boosters are gone into thin air. They mostly came from black lion chests opened with keys bought with gems bought with RL cash, too.

At least I have around 4 million karma banked. As long as I don’t go crazy on T3 cultural weapons I should have enough for any reasonable needs.

The item description on the boost powder is very specific about this behavior, but a little confusing to quickly grasp.

I’m quite upset with both the lack of response and the removal of karma from the booster choices. I’ve never called for a “rollback,” but the original functionality should be restored to the old enchanted boosters. Especially since people are saying that you can still change karma boosts into enchanted boosters at 2:1 and lose them completely.

And poof! There go my Karma boosts

Few minutes ago with gemstore update. Could be a bug. Hard to tell with this game.

Yeah, it can be hard to tell, but it seems intentional. So which boosts had their duration shortened? The new, the old, or both? I’ve got at least 60 enchanted reward boosts, and 50 enchanted combat boosts, and if they are all shortened to 20 mins…
I’m getting really sick of kitten like this.

Wrongly removed GWAMM

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Mojo Gris Gris.5941

Thanks Exeon. I’ve done that and it works, but as soon as I create a new character it re-sets the AP points, so I have to log back into GW1, and then back to GW2 and visit HoM and yeah it’s annoying as I am always re-rolling characters!

I just tested this in game. I have 33 HoM points, myself. I created a new character, and sure enough, when I checked (yes, I got the mail from LOR-748, again) my HoM achievement list was completely blank. I switched to another character, and they all came back. They even showed up as recently completed. I didn’t note achievement points themselves, but when I switched back to the newly created character, all the achievements remained. This should probably be moved to the bug section because it seems what is happening is the points are being removed and reapplied every time a new character is created. It’s not game breaking, but it’s there and causing confusion.

Check it out when you get a chance, anx.

Edit: Just looked at the bug forum, and they’re aware:

I have 2 characters that have completed the personal story, but not all of LS2. On both, I have tried to “Quit this episode,” which does no good at all. Both of these characters finished the PS before LS2 came out. I have another character with whom I have finished all of LS2, and only recently finished the last episode of the PS. This one character has nothing on the screen for the story marker, and I don’t even want to attempt to “continue” a LS chapter for fear that it may come back. Please let us quit the story completely to remove the UI element that is the accursed green star. We can always “Continue this chapter” later.

Cultural Armor Skins missing! -Wardrobe

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Mojo Gris Gris.5941

Greetings,

I have just returned to the game and am having a similar situation. Upon reaching max level before the Wardrobe system was released, I crafted a set of Draconic Heavy armor and with the gold i had acquired though purchasing gems and game play, I then bought a set of the Norn Stag Heavy armor Cultural Lv.3. I Equipped the Draconic Knights armor set and used a set of Transmutation stones so I could have the Stats of the Draconic Knights armor with the Look of the Heavy Stag armor. After Re-acquainting myself with all the changes in the game i noticed that my Stag armor is now showing in the Wardrobe collection. I tried Right clicking on the armor and its grayed out. Am i doing something incorrect? I would be very upset if i am out of this armor. It is by far my favorite armor style.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Make sure you are trying to use it (or preview) on a Norn character.

I would support this under 1 other condition:

They bring back all old BL ticket skins for at some point in a year individually (as in one week aetherised, next torment etc) for 1-3 tickets.

I’d prefere 1 ticket and I certainly think it’s a fantastic PR opportunity for all the new players you’re trying to get with HoT.

Tomes of Knowledge

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Mojo Gris Gris.5941

Mojo Gris Gris.5941

The only definitive news I’ve read is bolded below:

“What we had were two systems that should have been using two different currencies, and now they do. Every source that used to give scrolls of knowledge will now give spirit shards, which Miyani will accept for her materials. A few things will change to accommodate this split:

Tomes of knowledge will level you up if you are under level 80 and give one spirit shard if you’ve reached level 80.
Writs of experience can only be used if you’re under level 80, and they can be traded in to Miyani for a tome of knowledge at a rate of 20 writs per tome.

Leveling up after level 80 no longer grants skill points, but level 80 characters will be able to loot spirit shards off of monsters.
Any scrolls of knowledge that you have in your possession will automatically be converted to spirit shards, and any source that used to award scrolls of knowledge will now grant spirit shards."

Mojo Gris Gris.5941

The question is, is the percent of players who’ve reached 300% high enough to warrant making a luck eater. All level 80s will get dragonite, empyreal shards and bloodstone dust if they play which makes these eaters useful for 100% of these players. Only a few percent have gotten to 300% luck though which means most people will either not make the device or not use it if they do for a long time, if ever.

Until the percent of people who have 300% luck is higher I don’t think it’s a good idea to spend resources making it, unless maybe a gemstore version for those that want it.

This is true, but there are those who have maxed luck so it should be on their radar.

I’m sorry, but I think there’s some sort of misunderstanding going on here. I’ve seen quite a few people in game mention that they got the automatic refund. None of them had their serials wiped/revoked. You’re the first person I’ve seen say this. Also, the refunds were only given to people who had already pre-ordered HoT. The only other way you can get a refund is if you directly ask for one; and, if you do that without having ordered HoT or another copy of the base game, your serial will indeed be deactivated.

This is more along the lines of what I expected.

If it was indeed automatic, and you don’t intend to pre-purchase, you should file a support ticket to have your account re-enabled. Keep in mind, if you do that, you will most likely still have to pay full price for the expansion, if you decide to buy it. Best of luck, whatever you decide.

Minimum Upbidding

Mojo Gris Gris.5941

Trading Posts are a listing of offers. If my post is 1c over yours then that means that the amount I’m willing to pay is more than what you willing to pay, which is why mine will be filled first. If you are actually willing to pay more than what your original posting said you were willing to pay, then you are simply using the system incorrectly.

Well, now hold on a second… If I’m actually willing to pay 1g more than my offer, but I finagle an offer for 1g less than what I was willing to pay, I thought I was using the system quite correctly….

On topic, watching countless orders placed above/below yours in 1c increments can be frustrating, but it definitely isn’t game breaking. I barely even use third party sites for pricing, and I manage to make a profit selling and catch some deals buying. It definitely can boil down to patience, but also just a hint of foresight about the market for the item can spare a player some headaches. Sometimes, speculating hurts, but that’s what happens when you play the market.

Only a small amount of people would actually go out every day and farm their cloth for damask because timewise, it would still be more effective to just follow the zerg in SW and buy whatever cloth you didnt get there.

All good points, but I suspect this is where the rubber meets the road in regards to your observation on wood prices. Just substitute wood for cloth.
