From a PvE perspective…
The affected hits (first 8 of 100b and 4x WWA) equals 51% of a warrior’s DPS. This means overall dps for a warrior is reduced by about 2.5% roughly speaking.
What does this look like?
For the standard meta build (65003) the base dps with no vuln goes from 9,589 to 9,345.
In all, it seems like an extremely dumb thing for anet to be nerfing because…
1. In PvP Hammer and Longbow are the dominant weapons especially at higher levels of competition. So why nerf greatsword dps?
2. In PvE warrior is 4th or 5th out of 8 in terms of DPS, so it isn’t like they are addressing some PvE imbalance.
Most likely this nerf is “compensation” for the “great” new burst skill nobody will ever use in PvE and probably never use in high level PvP either. Sounds like a bad trade.
So in conclusion, the nerf is relatively minor overall but still annoying.
I have been waiting a reborn arcing slice like that for ages. I really don’t see a reason not to use it. Yes MAYBE the nerf will hurt the sustain damage with berserker power in long run, but with good adrenaline management, it is easy to gain adrenaline in long battle, and the more the foe hp, the more AS bonus damage you will deal, its actually more than make up the lost dps in long run. If the fight is a short one, your burst damage is much much bigger than the current 100B alone.
I hardly see a reason not to use it, seriously.
Bam!
Instant prestige and rareness surpassing legendaries! (for a few more months at least)Sunrise / Twilight / Eternity are so overdone.
Good for you!
Personally, if this is the skin for sunrise, i will indeed sold my dawn instead of craft myself a legendary.
But you are right, its prestige and rareness surpassing legendaries!
And yes all the legendary are skin, nice or not depends on players. If Belinda’s Katana is released, i will cover my sunrise with it in a heart beat, seriously.

There are 2 groups of player won’t affected by WoW.
The non trinity group and the causal no rushing content group.
I believe the majority players belong to one or both of the above mentioned group. Non trinity mmo are out of choice. The casual gaming atmosphere is also out of choice at the moment. So i guess only Anet know when is the time for expension.
i belong to both group by the way.
I made a legendary because the precursor has chosen my character, i had 6 characters all in different classes when i got a precursor through open world roaming. But that precursor decided to drop on the character who should equip that particular legendary.
I have never intended to craft one and through out 2 years of game play i believe i am not able to afford a precursor cost with my limited play time and no grind having fun play style.
the truth is, there are way too many players that power lv up their alt by crafting. Suddenly a lv80 in 1 day that a lot less players actually go to open world. They also lack the playing experiences thats actually required them to learn during lving. In which also created a lot of false impression to some classes and created some unnecessary complaint on forum (Learn to play issues).
Is it just me or are the dailies extremely bland and repetitive?
Surely when creating content like dailies it’s made to break the repetitive nature of the game and vary what a player does every day. I understand that Anet is trying to make them have a wide scope so any type of player can do them but I think moving the community around the map and giving them different things to do everyday is more important.
When I heard about dailies I was thinking more along the lines of the following dailies. Please tell me that you would enjoy these more than the ones we have currently.
- Platinum Miner: Mine 20 platinum ore.
- Herb Lover IV: Harvest from 15 Mature herb seedlings.
- Dragon Slayer: Help defeat a dragon in the open world.
- Masterpieces: Create 20 Masterwork quality items.
- Dredge Slaughter: Kill 20 Dredge.
- Poison Cleanser: Cleanse yourself of poison 5 times.
- Spore harvester: Destroy a toxic spore outlet.
- Mordremoth Intimidator: Defeat the mordremoth Champion.
- Queensdale Hero: Complete 5 events in Queensdale.
- Hero’s bluff jumper: Complete the jumping puzzle “hero’s bluff”. (I forgot the name of the jumping puzzle)
This would help move the community around the map to different locations and allow them to appreicate the environment more instead of leaving places completely devoid of any players. It also brings variety to the game and something a little more interesting than the same routine every single day.
Every player has made a routine by now to get certain achieves. For instance, daily kills is easy in queensdale where all the worms are. Gatherer is really boring now! Let’s bring some fun back to achievements!
.
Finally found a thread that i am on the same side of some particular players.
Another No to the suggestion. Everyone said my reason already so i will skip the typing.
Because of the adrenalin changes warriors will need more adrenaline for their burst skills and their healing. Just wait until you have played with the new changes. Maybe you will learn to love the passive effect. Just think of your condition remove and your overall damage.
For the passive visual effect, really can’t have any love imo.
I think we’ll have to see how this change turns out. Of course, Evis still does stupid damage, but at least warriors are now kinda punished for not landing it.
I’m pretty disappointed that they don’t do anything to Cleansing Ire, though.
they already nerf CI with the missing burst eat your adrenaline. The more a warrior have to make decision timing of using a burst, the less spamming for CI. This actually nerf every CI warrior and more clear to tell a players’ skill level.
New Arcing Slice can deal ~86% of the damage of a full channel Hundred Blades in one hit, and also does it in an AoE around you. That’s a really hefty hit.
The damage nerf of 40% of one (non-final) hit on Hundred Blades and a 5% hit on whirlwind Attack are probably entirely justified.
Uuh arcing slice is not even close to 50% damage of 100b.. And thats when target is also below 50% health!! above that this skill is just a 1,kitten from AA..
Before arcing slice sucks and now it can be decent.. Still no reason, ZERO reasons tho compensate it in 100b and whirlwind.!
currently 100b is good as a finishing skill, especially the final strike. Other then that most skill are not ad strong unless against wall wwa. New GS AS is a manual final strike.
While you land a successful 100b to a player you are most likely hit him to half dead follow up a AS switch 1h sword with final thurst i can see a good burst after all.
if it is world boss you will sure have a lot of time to deal bonus damage with AS. what so big deal with the 5% damage nerf to 100b and wwa?
i put signet of rage to CD every its up because of the ugly effect. I am okay with the nerf if anet can change the effect to a better one. At least a reason to stay in passive mode.
i am okay with adrenaline start dropping out of combat. But i think drop rate is what matters. if a flat drop rate it should be slow than current drop rate. Otherwise it should be drop faster at max adrenaline, a lot slower at 2 bar, very slow at 1 bar.
the final strike is not changed, so the change is under 5%
Actually it’s not. Each of the hits before the final strike is taking a 5% nerf. At least that’s how I understood it when watching the vod on twitch.
So it’s more like a 35% damage nerf outside of the final hit. If what I said is true, and I believe it is until I’m told otherwise.
What math are you doing? Are you joking?
Well if each hit is reduced by 5% then that’s not simply a 5% nerf. As I said in my previous post his wording remains ambiguous.
Knocking 5% off of each of the initial hits is a lot different than knocking 5% off all of them together.
Unless there is some clarification somewhere on what he means specifically then I will always see the worst case scenario as the likely option.
This is what he said, exactly: Hundred blades has been reduced by 5% for the initial strikes.
uhh… 0.05*(100+100+100+100+100) = 0.05*(500)
how to math?
Great. We discovered something new. I’m terrible at math. Actually…that’s not very new.
Great mate you finally discovered it.
…. 100b nerf is less than 5%.
i am actually excited about the GS change. Just think signet of rage nerf and out of combat adrenaline nerf is too much.
i am happy with the adrenaline change and arcing slice.
Finally some fun out of GS. Especially i noticed better ai of enemy since LS2, 100b is rarely able to hit full duration at champs in dry top. The AS buff is well needed.
There is also a big reason for me to trait shout to gain adrenaline instead of signet mastery too.
Guys this is a war, every one is a capable soldier.
Look at the modern combat unit. Do a medic bring weapon? Is the weapon he use any different to the ally next to him? Is he not trained to kill, is his combat bad thats why he is assigned to be medic? Is his weapon a toy that can’t kill at all?
A field medic is equipped the same to a standard soldier. His combat trainning is as good as his allies. He is as deadly as his teammates when he shoot. He is also able to do suppressing fire as good as a standard soldier. His fellow soldier are also able to do simple medic as well.
Whats make him a medic? The mekittenit? The medical knowledge? Answer is: a duty. He is more focus on treating wounded allies. A duty doesn’t tide to his gear. When nobody is hurt, his duty is killing as this is a better way to protect his teamates. He should be able to do support too if needed more fire power. When a medic down, this doesn’t mean the end, anyone in the team with first aid knowledge should be able to take up the “duty” and provide med awardness.
This is how i think about GW2 combat. A reflection of real world combat covered with fantasy skin.
The F2 response is much faster now, the pet will (mostly) stop what ever action they are doing and execute your F1, F2, F3 order. Pet HP was buffed couple months ago, +80% hp while in pve mode. Shout “Guard” traited with “Natural voice” provide perma regen and swiftness to a ranger.
I may not main a ranger, but the longer i played with her, the more i like her, so saying.
I am thinking what is the right time for adding mount….
3015 is the right time.
To above,
7.5/10
I like the face but the skin tone is maybe too pale to begin with.
Below is to Caliga Meshima.
8.5/10.
He reminds me of the “reluctant hero with a great destiny, that also is clueless about women that like him, and is also oblivious” type. lol
I redid my character slightly so he doesn’t have an eye patch covering his face. I also changed his hair style too something a bit more conservative and less “wild”. Again, here is my Canthan warrior, Caliga Tomahawk, re-done with a burn scar on his face, compliments of the “Mask of the Wanderer” item in the Gemstore! I used the color “Charred” on it, to give it a burn scar like look.
My warrior Crossaber, he is from Canthan too, a skillful swordsman.
You must be my missing older brother….
Yup, i have 9 characters, no charr and asura (the only lv80 asura was deleted)
To convince me playing a charr, please let me toggle 2 leg run… that’s the only request.
Yes, season 2 is a great job so far.
I have 8 lv80.
In LS 1 I will only bring 1 character into doing the LS stuffs.
In LS 2, I have 2 characters already done story ups to chapter 3, the 3rd one is coming…
So yea, i am enjoying the whole season 2.
Yes as above, vendor it if you don’t use trade post.
Or spam WTS on map chat.
Then somebody came up and asked you to mail him the weapon first, you will refuse, right?
Then you ask him to mail you the money first, he for sure will refuse.
So no, destroy it or a legendary yourself if you don’t want to use trade post.
Cool, i rather not use the helmet myself, but yes you should be proud. I will say your samurai style looks a lot better than the assassin male outfit.
good job
It is time to release new set of legendary that doesn’t share any of the existing legendary mats. Either a large amount of ascended mat and time gated. Along with guardanteed new precursor and obtain method.
For players that hate RNG can grind all kind of game mode to get their legendary (see hows the new fissue weapon only obtained by actually playing the game.)
These kind of precursor may not interrpt the TP and allow unlucky player to made themselves a legendary.
6/10 looks pretty bland.
below is one of my armor sets the other one looks kinda grim.
6/10 Could almost give him a Industrial/Victorian era London look, but a Necromancer!
8/10 Very Demonic, especially the shoulder works very well with a Charr.
Here comes my Necro.
They don’t need one-on-one trading. They just need to have a C.O.D. option for the mail. That would sort that problem out. If such a feature is even needed at all.
As for the other two… don’t need it don’t want it.
If C.O.D. mail system is created:
1) it will create the same issue of old GW1, player will spam WTS on world chat.
2) TP works as a gold sink by taxing, if there is a C.O.D. mail, player still should pay the same or more tax than the TP to avoid players skipping the gold sink mechanics.
Therefore it is not necessary imo.
Dueling, one on one trade and gear inspection. Have you ever even read these forums.
Any time someone says dueling, the resistance to it in each thread is stabstantial. There are usually more people posting against dueling that for it. It’s not a universally desired feature by any means. I wouldn’t mind it if they made specific areas for it I never had to go near, but don’t think the crowd that are against it are wrong just because you can’t see their point of view. There’s an over all feeling from the crowd that doesn’t want it, that having it would encourage more people to play the game of the type we don’t want in our PvE. Many of us are not looking for a more competitive PvE experience in this game. And many of us have experienced dueling in other games, even games you can turn off requests in, where some kid dogs your stops, jumps up and down and starts dissing you in map chat because you won’t duel him. There are reasons people don’t want it in game and it’s not just to ruin your fun.
1v1 trading was the #1 way people got scammed in Guild Wars 1. Between that and the cash sink, it’s a good move. It takes cash out of the economy which helps control inflation.
Of all your suggestions op, gear check is by far the one that most doesn’t belong in this game. This game is all about the playerbase coming together. The design decisions made in the game were about allowing people to play as they want. Gear score has one affect and one affect only. It gives elitists the tools they need to be elitist in game. It sanctions their behavior.
It should never be allowed in Guild Wars 2, period.
Well said, Vayne, you are speaking every words in my mind.
I guess “What Needs To Be Said Over Again and Again” is NO to Open world dueling, Gear inspector, 1 to 1 trading.
For all the suggestion OP made, seems the game need complete overhaul.
Looks like there are thousands of games are doing it right which GW2 is doing it wrong. So it is obviously that, you should play those games.
I do dearly hope though, that OP will take this criticism to heart, and act upon it.
I’d rather say that GW2 is doing a betterjob at many things that make GW2 GW2. It is, in my opinion, a lot better than other games in many aspects, which is why I’d rather stay with GW2. I’m just trying to say that GW2 is both lacking some easy-to-build, not game-chaning at all features. The other stuff is about improvements of already-existing systems, and a possible design-philosophy for the future. I don’t see how my suggestions would need a massive game-overhaul to be implemented. To state it simply: what I would like to see is:
1) Trade Function
2) Gear Inspectation Function
3) Duel Fuction
4) More Streamlined LFG function
5) Better Market Interface (my suggestion was a very, very small change)After making those points I stated some of my ideas of how ArenaNet could continue their development of the game. That is all.
1) Why risk players being scammed and have to waste more resources to clean up the mess than to simply prevent it?
2) Gear inspection is a must for a game that provide vertical progression, because low end geared player will become a great burden to the team. GW2 is different, high end gear is easy to obtain, full rare gear is as viable as full ascended in 99% pve content. What makes it different is the hand behind keyboard. Most of the players don’t care their pug member geared, as long as they can finish whats they want to finish.
3) Duel function is already there, in the mist, custom area. I am totally against dueling with PvE gear and build. GW2 have reduced a lot of class balance issue by removing sub class. Yet we still got tons of balancing issues complain while a huge amount of these complains are under leveled players in PvE circumstances. These complains mostly involved with wrong gear spec or lack of understanding to their class. When these kind of gear and level issues are involved in 1 vs 1 (where the game is not balanced around 1 vs 1), we can foresee a lot more complain about class balance than now. Why should Anet do something to increase the balancing difficulty rather than to eliminate them? Not to mention it is impossible to make balancing decisions when over 80% of complains are player issues.
1) Though I think that point sucks, someone already convinced me of it being a bad idea to have one-on-one trading.
2) Then what is the problem? Isn’t it nice to know what kind of gear someone has when you see him/her walking with awesome-looking gear?
3) I was talking about non-competitive, or at least completely unranked dueling. Really simple, to do against friends. I don’t think such a thing would lead to more balancing problems.
2) All the beautiful appearances are skins only. Like Kasmeer’s dress, it is illusion. Skin =/= stat. The player with a legendary on hand, it could be a legendary tier or it could be a white tier item. What is the point of looking at the stat behind the skin if “Look” is what you matter? Just whisper that player politely, tell him or her to stand still for while, you can run around taking screen shot.
3) Yes, there are always players love to complain even they got beaten by a close friend 1 vs 1. Same reason, it is wise to prevent an issue than to create one and solve it later.
For all the suggestion OP made, seems the game need complete overhaul.

I agree with OP but i am from a different approach.
All engineer rifle skill are not aimed shot, that makes “rifle” on engineer means nothing.
On the other hand, warrior bleed shot, volley, kill shots are “very” professional rifle shot stance, why not change warrior bleed shot animation into hip shot, change the name to hip shot. Then change engineer hip shot with aimed animation and rename it to aimed shot or similar name?
I love my warrior and his rifle but i always don’t understand engineer rifle stance are so “amature”. It is very hard to take a nice screen shot with my engineer and his rifle because none of his shooting animation is as good as warrior.
I am perfectly fine with skimpy male armor also. I don’t think a game dev will care the equality of male and female armor, but i am fine as long as we have CHOICES. Who cares there are Sparta armor, i don’t think every male i met will be in sparta armor. And it doesn’t matter also as i have choice to outfit my character skimpy or not.
I am from Hong Kong, where i am a lot closer to mainland China but i play in EU server at launch, transferred to NA server during free transfer period. I never have problem about connection.
And I agree with you, i don’t want to play with mainland players, especially don’t wanna read their simplified chinese. Anyway, if you go to the taiwan GW2 forum, most taiwan players got good connection too.
Marjory is probably took the greatsword. Since she cannot equip it as a necro, therefore she salvaged it in order to keep the skin. After she broke it with black lion salvage kit, she discovered the skin was removed from the wardrobe….
I will prefer bringing back the GW elite skill – Head butt
Medium single target damage – Physical skill
3/4 sec activation time
90 sec CD
2s stun
2s self daze if being blocked
That sounds absolutely terrible. Why would I ever take that skill in GW2? Not only is it a garbage stun on a ridiculously long cooldown, it can even backfire and screw you over.
The OPs idea isn’t much better. Even as a weapon skill or a utility skill it doesn’t seem to be that great of an idea, certainly not as an elite. An execute that reduces downed HP? why would I want that over a regular high-damage ability?
Maybe if it automatically downed them if they are under 15% hp, I could see it being useful for tank builds that don’t do much damage. But that’d be quiet the cheese skill, could have stupid snow-balling moments, and be fairly uninteresting gameplay-wise.
A skill that deals bonus damage to low health targets is cool, but such skills are already in game. Reducing downed HP is useful, it gives you a longer period of time to stomp someone before their allies can get them up, but poison fill that role already. If you want more option to do so, I don’t think a skill like this would be the way to do it.
I would take that skill as it is a stun skill that not bound to any of the weapon (not mace not hammer), it is affected by physical trait for 20% CD reduction, and 100% more damage. So it could be a high damage burst along with 2 sec stun, also if traited with unsuspected foe follow up with a final thrust will be a deadly burst in pvp.
Therefore it could be a very good elite skill that using dual sword / greatsword and longbow build 6/4/4/0/0 or 4/6/4/0/0
Then depart to leave the couple to their grief, I wouldn’t even search for the sword until they were gone. It is just more polite that way.
I found it, you’ve stolen it, that’s why we don’t find it in wardrobe anymore….

Can you list all the armor pieces you used in that look? It’s really cool
Head: Phalanx armor or human cultural Tier 2 (not displaying)
Shoulder: human cultural Tier 2 or Ascalon shoulder
Chest: Phalanx chest
Glove: human cultural Tier 2
Legging: Priory legging
Boot: Phalanx boot
Glad you like it
There are millions of players, and there are thousands of different tastes, how can a game fulfill everyone’s desire? Yes, GW2 armor design are not very common compare to most MMO out there. I have spend a lot of time looking a suitable heavy armor set for my human warrior and norn guardian. When I imagine how i want to dress up according to the armor impression from movie, anime, and other RPG, I can’t find one.
Personally I like arah shoulder left side, arah grove left side, arah legging, arah boot without “arms”, gothic theme but not as evil as arah set. Sorry I can’t find one too. Finally I mix and match and come up with a quite satisfying combination for my human warrior. Shoulder is the hardest part to find suit my taste. Final choice are the human Tier 2 shoulder and the Ascalon shoulder.

One thing that a lot of people don’t do is bind a key to sheathe their weapons. When you’re carrying your weapons at the ready you will run slower. The character automatically sheathes their weapons after a brief period out of combat, but you can bind a key in your controls to force it. This is probably what is tripping you up. When you fall and take damage, your character pulls their weapons, so you’ll be in combat and with weapons drawn thus you are moving at the slowest speed in the game.
Just to correct this, having your weapons out in and of itself doesn’t make you move slower. Rather, it’s the ‘in combat’ state that slows you down. You can tell if you’re in combat if there’s a little fiery aura around your Endurance/dodge bar.
You’re placed in combat by taking damage (including fall damage), inflicting damage on a non-ambient creature, or inflicting/receiving a condition on something whether or not it does damage. If it was caused by falling damage and nothing else, waiting a couple of seconds will cause the combat state to end and your health to immediately regenerate, letting you move/jump at full speed again. If it was caused by another creature, you need to either kill that creature or move a certain distance away from it to exit combat, whether or not you sheathe your weapons. You will also need to cleanse any negative conditions you’ve suffered to exit combat.
Evading enemy attacks will not place you in combat. As such, dodging is quite important for quick travel!
Afraid you’re wrong there, you definitely move slower with weapons out than not. This is why binding a sheathe weapon key is so useful rather having to wait for the auto sheathe. If you have a Charr, pull out your weapons then start running. While you’re running sheathe your weapons and you will instantly notice the speed difference.
Behellagh was right, it doesn’t matter with or without weapon drawn to running speed. It is the in combat effect that slow you down. I hated the Charr 4 leg runs so when i play my Charr will draw my weapon on travelling a lot (which i bind a key to draw weapon), and it never slow me down unless i take falling damage and drawn weapon.
Yes I understand it’s each to their own.
And the LS could be great, better than an expansion easily, if they actually did what they said it would be capable of.
I do believe Anet stated that LS will cover an expansions worth of content, which it hasn’t by far, not even close.
The point I was making in my post is that the LS just simply falls so horribly short of an expansions worth of content it really is silly, and that if you add up total content it has provided us with and you see how little there really is, I can’t understand how people can log in each patch and legitimately be happy with it all.
People want what I listed, they said LS is capable of doing such things so my question is: Where is it all?
First of all the expansions worth of content comment was explained many times in the past, and it’s was corrected, so people would understand what it actually meant. This was long before most of the living story was delivered in Season 1. Bringing it up now isn’t particularly useful because even before the best stuff in Season 1 we knew it was spoke out of turn. It was a bad use of language that people latched onto. It’s done.
However, what was also said and explained was that Season 1 was like a test. No one was doing that in any other game. They had to see what worked and didn’t work.
In Season 2 the content is permanent, repeatable and we are uncovering a new zone.
Season 1 was the learning bit, Season 2 is the delivery bit. People act like this sort of thing is done in every game all the time. It’s not. There’s a learning curve. Anet is learning.
And this kind of learning can’t be rushed.
This i am totally agree. The living story approach was in my mind 10 years ago, what a surprise it finally come true. Actually it is quite similar to what i was imagine, some players doesn’t like it, but, i loved it.

Because of that, I’ve accepted I won’t be having even one Legendary
SnipIf you just want a Legendary to have a Legendary then there are at least 3 precursors priced at 80 to 90 gold. Rodgort’s Flame, Rage and Venom. Carcharias is currently about 120 (buy) to 145 (sell). If you don’t have your heart set on one of the high priced ones, a precursor is definitely within reach.
(Shrug) it’s what I did. There wasn’t a Legendary I particularly wanted but when I saw how cheap Rodgort’s Flame was I decided to get it anyway.
You could always make the Legendary from the cheap precursor, sell it and use those funds to go toward a precursor for one you really want.
This is smart.
For someone who’ve collected all the materials but missing the precursor, this is actually a way out. Buy a cheap precursor and craft a legendary, sell it and buy the desired precursor first. Don’t worry about T6 cost as Laurel will take care of it in a long run. Once getting the precursor, only globs, lodestone price matters.
I am probably the poorest legendary user. My acc highest gold amount is never over 202 gold, mostly of my play time i have below 100 gold. Usually i am able to finish my daily and i am done for the day. Even if i have the time, i only run AC P1 and 3. I gave up almost all ascended trinket in order to save up laurel for T6, there are about 1200 T6 mats are from laurel. It took me about 6~7 months of time to craft a legendary after i gain my precursor.
So for someone who are able to gain more gold than me, you are definitely able to buy a cheap precursor, craft a legendary and sell it, so you can buy the desired precursor. Once you bought the precursor, it is only a matter of time to get to your dream.
It is time to give us new sets of legendary, different or none precursor needed, use up the ascended mat or even use up new legendary mat that is mostly acc bound. Time gated so the most hardcore players and the most casual players will finish their new legendary around 6 months to 10 months. So as to reduce the demands of T6, and current precursors.
I’m a PW2 pigeon and it’s not easy for me.
The concept of Legendary Weapon’s is: “worked hard to get.” Even if you put 6 months 1 year or 2. It is guaranteed, sooner or later, you get the ingredient.
Everyone has guaranteed to have sooner or later, an ingredient that has a price (extreme) increases again again and again? No, no guarantee, nothing.
For many people, get a precursor, it is to be a dog running around a tree to catch his own tail.
This ingredient with an extreme price, month after month after month is broken.
It is time to repair because the guaranteed, today, is EXTREMELY broken.
Where do you get the concept of guaranteed legendary. Can you show me link of dev reply or page of information? Did you take part in the game developing process?
I can understand making legendary as a goal to chase. i understand why rng is included because it will highly extend the overall progression time and ensure everyone no matter new or veteran player do get a chance to craft one when the precursor has chosen them.
What i don’t understand is which dev and game will make the most desired end game item to be guaranteed? To shorten the game life cycle? Let players finish thier legendary then move on to another game without regret? Your guaranteed legendary concept is interesting.
Hey there,
I was wondering what was the classement of the class in term of dps , burst and tankiness.
Here’s my guess (Guess, based on what I sawe for now, since I’m not yet 80 on any of my chars).
-Dps :
Elem > War > Mesmer > Thief > Eng > Necro > Ranger > Guard.
-Burst :
Elem > War > Thief > Eng > Mesmer > Necro > Guard > Ranger.
-Tankiness :
Guard > War > Nerco > Thief > Elem > Mesmer > Eng > Ranger.
Am I wrong somewhere ? This classement is not to see if some classes are better than the others (Even if it’s obvious that Warriors are on top of the others ) but to see where each class is excel at.
Thank you.
Can’t say you are wrong, you are just not experienced enough to see it through.
Classes are designed with different skill level of players in mind.
Warrior is a class that can be played fine even without utility skills, in a cost of a lot more straight forward utility skills, high telegraphed attacks etc.
Other class that involved more complex class mechanics are harder to use, and extremely weak without utility skills. That means these classes are designed for more skillful hands and once a player mastered these class, they do way better than a warrior.
I got all classes to lv80, where i once thought ele was the weakest until i rerolled another lv80 ele, (means 160 level of game play), i found everything my warrior can do, my ele can do it better, and there are a lot of things that my ele can do while my warrior can’t.
You can try but i don’t think you will get it reversed. It is because you got your warning before apply sigil that mean the fault is on your head. You are out of luck because of wardrobe that you no longer able to tranmate a weapon to white tier and make it acc bound now. i am sorry this is an expensive lesson.
When the advertisments for GW2 said “Play Your Way”, I’m pretty sure they meant you play your way, not that everyone else had to play your way, too!
You are exactly right about this. So stop asking Anet to add something that force everyone else to play it “YOUR” way. Mount is not in the game and all of us played the game without mount since head start. Add mount for some players’ wish is forcing the rest of us to play it their way.
We are not forcing you to play without mount, as nobody is asking to take away mount (it is not even exist in the first place). But asking for mount, however is asking to force everyone to play the game the way mount lover wants.
If you are role playing, try set your timeline as an actual timeline. We don’t and not possible to go through everything in one night. Taimi is doing her research, at this stage we are not clear where and what is gonna happen. Taimi’s research could be for months in real world, and in LS, it is 2 weeks.
So what are we gonna do while Taimi is still doing her research? We help the Zephyrite and looking for clues and leads as well. But we are stuck apparently. So place your hope in Taimi for now.
warrior shout is about offensive support.
I rather see an elite shout that falls into the same direction. I think an elite shout “Charge!” that grant nearby allies quickness for 4 sec, swiftness for 20 sec, 90sec CD would be neat.
Maybe it is just me, some legendary are jokes. Legendary pistol, mace, shortbow are legendary toys to me. I rather use pact pistol, mystic pistol or vigil pistol instead.
