@EW: For Ascended, can’t you craft any old type then change it to Celestial in the forge? I haven’t done so yet, but thought that was now the case.
You probably don’t wanna hear that I have too much of the stuff. If I have time, I take all 5 of my accounts into my home to harvest, and funnel it all into my primary account, which also makes a Charged each day. I have about 2 stacks of regular waiting to get charged up and who knows how much Charged in the bank.
Additional accounts are a nice way to “support” the main account, but do take time away from advancing the main. But whatever, I enjoy it.
But I still don’t really see the benefit of completing maps besides the chest. 100%‘ing a map only gives you 10% of a level. An event gives 7%. Yes, you’ll hit things along the way that also give you xp by exploring, but you can do that anyways.

Back on topic. I just like to mix things up. I too don’t need any crafting on a new alt, but will do so anyway. It breaks up the map completing, or boss/event seeking, or whatever. So variety is my recommendation, since you’re really not asking for “fastest” since you’re eliminating the faster methods (scrolls, tomes, etc).
EOTM is a form of WvW, so why would you want it to have different rewards than WvW? I’d say it is fine as it is, but I do my leveling through PvE. The Tomes given through WvW are just a bonus.
And is leveling really that hard in GW2? Everything you do throws XP at you.
I used to sell the skins and made some decent coin, but got to the point where ( a ) I didn’t really need the gold anymore, ( b ) the prices started dropping, and ( c ) I decided to hang onto tickets for skins for my own use.
I still have 2 tickets waiting for just the right weapons. As such, it no longer matters to me that these are not tradable.
Typically, once you unlock an item for a collection, it is no longer needed for that achievement. Check your hero panel > collection to make sure it is registered there.
To find the HoT story, go to your hero panel, story, and select HoT rather than the personal story. I think it then asks if you wish to make this one active. The pointers, etc will then direct you where to go for that storyline.
You can switch back to the original, or LS2 if you decide to buy it, as desired.
Ah, gotcha. I used to purchase favor with my alt accounts’ laurels to do upgrades to my personal guild. And of course you got points just for repping. Miss that.
But the main guild really hasn’t changed, but that’s due to a good core.
If I remember correctly, Sniper was there recently. Winter was for Wintersday, so I expect it’ll be back for Christmas. Arbiter… don’t remember that one.
I don’t see it as irony. I see it more of, didn’t you learn the first time? Does your guild have no web presence outside the game? Did they make no effort to advertise the fact they were about to make a change? Even if you didn’t log in, it seems there should have been ample opportunity to prepare and join in with the change. If not, I still see it as deficient on the part of your guild and/or you.
While I like the idea, I’d hate to see all the stupid titles that would show up. Plus, Anet would have to police it, and it would be one more thing for people to report, so would be a headache.

I think they should have made it more player convenient. Bank and Guild bank together, with Trading Post nearby, more like Divinity’s Reach. Yes, there are waypoints and jumping pads, but that isn’t as convenient as a few steps or short jaunt across a courtyard.
As far as the looks, what they came up with would not have been my first choice. Too modern looking, agree with what others have said about it feeling like a theme park.
I don’t. I use an n52 + a mouse with a few extra buttons. Google the n52, then look to see what’s taken its place. I’ve used mine forever and couldn’t play without it. Not well, anyway.
OP: Do you have the sprocket generator in your home instance? When my bank is full (2000) I sell a stack or two, and I have a whole row of them in my personal guild bank, however many that is.
Oh, I also use the sprocket pick. And I cheat and take my other 4 accounts into my home most days, so that many more sprockets.
I’m not opposed to housing, but still don’t see the attraction. It’d have to be in the Home Instance, so only NPCs would be wandering around. Lonely. Worse still if it was its own instance, then there would be nobody. Unless you can Buy A Bride/Groom from the gem store, then 9 months later they let you Buy a Baby…
You get to level 80 fast enough, so just bear with it until then and transmute to cultural. Or use an outfit to hide it until then.
My female engineer uses cultural and I like it. My other sylvari are on alt accounts and I don’t care to invest in anything fancy for them. They grumble, but I just ignore them.
You’d have to be sure of your guild to put something personal in it. I don’t think Anet would want to deal with “my stuff in their guild” after someone was kicked out, whether deserved or not.
I haven’t played all the elites, but Guardian/Dragonslayer so far for me.
Why what others play matters, I don’t know, since we all have our preferences. Not to mention there are 3 game modes and many different things to do in PvE, so where and how one plays makes a difference as well.
If Anet ever cave to the people that want this I will be super kittened. All that dev work for a freaking skin. Blech.
Uh, if we didn’t do anything for skins, what would we do? Why all that work and expense for a legendary?
Still, the dev work would be tremendous and what would we gain, really? I’m not opposed to the idea of a new race, but I think Anet could better spend their time elsewhere.

It has come up multiple times, so yours was probably just more of the same and didn’t garner any new responses. These are about the same responses as usually get posted. Maybe this one is missing “that other mmo doesn’t give xp after max…” response.
