There are a multitude of threads that include this request. It is very popular (and needed in my opinion). That said, I foresee this thread being closed soon and directing you to join one of the other conversations on the topic.
This is already being discussed https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/There-is-no-real-way-to-be-invisible-or-anonymous/first#post1815608
I expect this thread to be closed.

Well, you can get it in WvW since the last patch no? For a very cheap number of tokens too, and it’s a skin item so no need for transmutation stones.
No, this skin is not available in WvW. You may be thinking about either “Tactical” or “Dry Bones”
I just want something that looks decent and doesn’t cover every inch of my Sylvari male (don’t like the cultural skins for them either). He has great glow and markings, but they are always covered.
Tribal armor from the betas would be great if they were put back in PvE.
I always see my name first. Then, if he’s is online, the next name is always the guild leader. After that it seems randomized to me (though I’m sure there is something, perhaps time they logged in).
Basically you’re looking to go the way of AD&D prestige classes. Not sure that will ever be seriously considered due to the added balancing challenges.
Yes, I saw a few happen recently and it bugged me too. In addition, one of them closed a thread stating there was another thread on that topic and linked to a thread that was also closed (without a conclusion mind you). Kind of a catch 22 there don’t you think?
I like. they did it in GW1. There is also another thread on this as well.
They would go with those fairly new hair styles that were introduced. Maybe make them a gem store item.
Yes, this is exactly what I’d like for my Sylvari. Unfortunately there are very, very few armors that are more revealing (for lack of a better word) for male toons. Usually I don’t mind, but my male Sylvari has great and unique markings and glow effects that frankly just about every armor covers up. This would allow all that work in char. creation to not go to such a waste and give me an armor I really like.
must be over 9000
Please explain your logic for coming up with this number, or are you just trolling?
Other players have reported more than 100 laurels. I’d be interested in an official answer here. I naturally assumed that, like with Karma and Gold, there were no limits, however I am now doubting that.
And yet another topic on this point. We have to be approaching triple digits on this.
That said, I fully agree that something should be added. There are a plethora of suggestions out there (more than a couple from me, but I can’t bring myself to retype them yet again). Hopefully Anet has seen this and is working on it. Unfortunately, we haven’t seen a dev reply or even a hint in another avenue of them working on it yet, but here’s hoping.
Anet has shown they at least were not opposed to this idea. Missions were replayable in GW1. Some you went back to the outpost, others (in EotN) you went to the scrying pool to reactivate. I’d love a similar option in GW2.
I also like all of these ideas. As for the last login, GW1 had it so I don’t know why GW2 doesn’t. It could simply show the last time represented or the last time logged in. I’d prefer the former a little, but either works for me.
I second this. Recruiting and admin lower ranks should be separated. We’d like a few ranks to be able to recruit and invite new members, but not have the right to promote, boot, or demote other players.
Right now we have one rank that has admin lower ranks skill set to the lowest rank in the guild so they can recruit without having all the other rights. It is a work around, and doesn’t fix some things we’d like to do. In short, it should be simple and would be very well received.
This topic has had many, many posts about it and generally they are either in, or moved to by a moderator, the suggestions section.
Having posted multiple times on this subject before I won’t say much more here other than please. Now that that is said, I expect this post to be moved soon.
I agree and have been asking for a while too. I’ve created a thread on this a long while ago as well as commented on many of them. PLEASE implement Anet! It doesn’t have to be free, make us pay for it in silver (or perm. option for gems) is fine. Just don’t make me go back to a city hub every time I want to retrait. Also allow me to save my skill slots and preferably trait slots in a template as well so I can just choose and go (again for a cost is fine).
I’ve completed the FF objectives to date, but it still insists on being on my screen. I would think it would go away when I finish all of them!
I would love that, I’m just not sure it logistically makes sense. There are a huge amount of miniatures out there so there would be a huge amount of skills to consider and to balance.
It is here for at least a month.
Well, if you want some sort of lore or story behind it, then fine. The people of Tyria can’t live their lives with nothing but war, there must be some fun and games as well. So, Motto invented this virtual gaming system to entertain people and distract them from the trouble of life. We, as adventurers, may also choose to indulge in this distraction from our Elder Dragon woes.
Actually the human race has been dying out. In GW1 they populated just about every corner of the map and had three (well they had JUST lost one) major nations. Now they only really inhabit Kryta, have only one nation, and only 1 major city. I’d say that is a huge decline.
As for the game of players, that can easily be explained in lore as they have more adventurers than most other races because they are natural explorers. Doesn’t mean the population as a whole is bigger, just the ratio of how many choose an adventurer’s life.
Shhh…don’t want devs taking this out. It is SOOO fun.
My favorite part is being on a high cliff for a Vista along with somebody else. Jumping off and surviving, then watching them try to do the same thing and laughing when they die. Of course I’m nice enough to res them after though
I think 5 is fair. Gives you one for each race and you have the option to expand upon this with Gems. Frankly we aren’t paying to play so GW2 has to have some way to make money and wanting to play with more than 5 slots is a fair way to get that money. Keep in mind that there is also cost to housing your toon on a server as well.
Like all other objects, it resizes based on your toon size. Makes it more visible. As for the chicken, technically when you pick it up, it becomes an environmental weapon.
Are you actually asking for the technical reason, or is “there is one” an adequate answer for now? :P
Devs have stated that they wish to roll the fix out to PvE as well but that the problem is more complex in these varied contexts than in the comparably simple player-model rendering of WvW.
I don’t remember that conversation. I’m not doubting you, but can you quote a source please? I’m also interested in the PvE culling issue, but everything I read along with the State of the Game discussions mention WvW, but no mention of PvE to my recollection. It would be nice to know that they are working on it.
Unfortunately, yes. I’ve been stuck at 99% for a while now due to not being able to get into a few forts
ELIXIR S IS STILL GOD kitten BUGGED FOR ASURA, JESUS CHRIST
I’m not familiar with this bug. What exactly is bugged here?
I doubt we’ll see much for the necro. In the State of the Game interview, they mentioned that necros have received a lot of love lately and they want to give other classes the same. When asked about necro issues they all just looked at each other, stumbled over their words, and moved on to the next topic.
As long as they stay account bound I’m fine with this.
Better yet, GET RID OF SOULBOUND! I hate this idea that I can’t swap an item from toon to toon. I understand account bound so they can’t be sold in the market, but soulbound is just a slap in the face. If I get that great staff, use it, then decide to change builds and don’t need it anymore, I’d at least like to be able to hand it over to a different toon who still uses a staff.
I don’t think you realize how the WvWvW rankings work, they are based off of set about of points you gain, much like in any tourny style set up. The better the server is the more points they will acquire the more points the further up the tier bracket you move.
The tournament round robin style you suggest, has to have an end to the tournament, in wvwvw there is no end. It is a constant tournament ergo why it works off of points.
I do know how it works, the problem is that it is too rigid. Basically it takes the top three and matches them, then the next three, then the next, etc. etc.. What I’m suggesting is an added layer to that in creating point buckets and then matching up accordingly. As to the second statement, why does the round-robin style have to have an end? It should have a regular reshuffling of buckets, yes, but an end, not at all.
So again if you randomly shuffle them you will end up with
Jade quarry facing off against tarnished cost and then crystal desert, how do you think that is going to end?
Not sure why you keep thinking round-robin buckets are random. Nowhere in my statements is that even mentioned as, you are right to say, that would simply be a mess.
I’m sorry if I’m not explaining it in a way you can better understand, but frankly I’m going to stop trying. For those people with any experience developing tournament play (outside of the standard bracketing tournaments) it should make sense. Then that style simply continues rather than concludes as these round-robin tournaments only really end when a pre-set number of matches/games are concluded. In this case that number is never set.
That said, I’ve added my suggestion, fielded questions, and am concluding it as I don’t care for arguments or talking in circles.
I created a thread on this a while back. Here is what I posted:
One thing I’d like to see as more and more builds are becoming viable (and others discovered) is a way to change builds with a little more freedom. Right now we have to go to a main city any time we want to change up our traits. However there are some builds that work great for general adventuring, but not so great in group events or big bosses, and vice versa. However both have their place and are fun.
I’d like to see one of two things:
1) The easy way – rather than having to go to the trait man/woman every time you want to respec, simply have them sell a stackable item for the same price (or a little more for convenience) that when used anywhere will perform the same function of resetting your traits. If needed, restrictions could be placed like it can’t be used in battle or what-not.
2) More ideal, but would require more game coding – implement a system similar to GW1 that lets you save builds. It would be nice to be able to save a build, and then click it to set your skills, traits, and possibly armor set (different builds often require carrying two armor sets if switched). Again, I’m fine with a monetary cost involved whether in gems or in silver/gold for the opportunity to unlocking this or on each switch.
I don’t think you realize how the WvWvW rankings work, they are based off of set about of points you gain, much like in any tourny style set up. The better the server is the more points they will acquire the more points the further up the tier bracket you move.

So you would rather pit the top three servers in the world
- Jade Quarry
- Black Gate
- Sanctum of Rall
up against Lower tired servers that we will just stomp into the ground if not push off the map in the first few hours?
I don’t think that is what he is suggesting, as he mentioned tournament style. To elaborate, a tournament will still seed it’s participants and match them up accordingly (depending on what type of tournament you’re talking). You can still have like servers facing one another, however I think the current system goes too purely by the numbers and you end up with the same servers facing each other over and over again.
I think a bucketted round-robin style tournament works great here. Open the tiers to include 6 teams and then pit those teams against each other. each week you choose from those same buckets, but make sure that you always switch up at least one of the servers. The difference will not be insurmountable since the servers are still somewhat alike, but it does change up the dynamics.
You could even break this out a bit further for even better matchups. Put each server with 4-5 per bucket with overlapping buckets so that 1-2 servers are ultimately in two and then they float from week-to-week between them.
In any case, more diversity doesn’t necessarily mean that top and bottom tiers must face off. This wouldn’t be good if it did. However a slightly more elaborate system could make for some great matchups.
Just because you spam the forums with repeat threads doesn’t mean your going to get it.
Also making repeat threads intentionally is against the ToS, stop doing it and use the search function
Lastly do a little research instead of whining about something that has 100+ threads
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Upcoming_changes_and_features
They are already adding Guild halls, that took me 2 minutes using Google and the key words are they adding guild halls in GW2. came up with the wiki and that link, amazing what a little time researching can tell you.
Wow, very negative and intentionally (at least from reading it) degrading response. Sorry to have offended you. This is a suggestion thread and although it has come up, there is no whining, but simply “suggestions” of what types of things they would be good for in the game.
That said, please feel free to continue to degrade if you feel the necessity. This is my one and only response to it.
Yes, another Guild Hall request thread. This was one of my favorite things about GW1 and it served much more of a purpose than just GvG (in fact we were extremely casual in GvG). It served as a great gathering point for all sorts of events we use to hold within our guild. Now with the addition of guild events (awesome add btw, thank you very much) it has even more potential. Here are a few things I’m thinking:
- A place to gather for large guild events that we know won’t be in overflow. Setting up squads, parties, etc. before going on a bounty or trek, etc. is very important and this gives a unique and cool place for this organization. In addition it helps as a singular launching zone for WvW, fractal runs, etc.
- Something else to spend merit and influence on for the guild. I know we have plenty of things, but I’m sure Anet is always wanting to ensure the well doesn’t dry up here
-initially getting it
-adding merchants
-adding NPC flavor
-aesthetic upgrades
- A system to setup internal PvP tournaments within a guild or just casual PvP to test builds against one another in a safe environment. WvW is good for this in low tier servers, but it is very annoying when you are testing builds against each other 1v1 or in small groups and thekittenerg or a few roamers jump in.
- You can add NPCs here to start guild events like bounties here rather than always doing in the guild window. It is great for emersion
- General hang-out spot for guildies to talk, get to know one another, and RP if they want to in a place where the only interuption would come from a friendly guildie joining in.
I’m sure others and Anet could come up with even more great uses for a guild hall. Anet, I’m begging you to bring back this system as there is just SO much more potential in GW2 than there even was in GW1 for this setup.

I agree completely for two reasons. 1st is a change of scenery (and yes world exploration, I’ve been sitting on 99% for some time now!). The second is simply for new challenge and strategy. I’m tired of always facing the same two servers over and over. Granted we are evenly matched, but so much so that very little changes. We always end up very close in final score and the maps tend to look the same most of the time. It is a complete stale mate. Not only that, but the stale mate is always the same because the strategies of each of the three servers are well known to the other two.
Of course that’s not a bug. It’s right there in skill description.
It was only recently put into the notes via a patch. Earlier they mentioned they would look into this bug to attempt to fix it. Their fix for this bug was simply to put it into the description that you would lose your minions.
I also request this as my builds are rendered near useless and I so want to do fractals. MM build=destroyed due to minions melting under agony. Power build drastically weakened due to Lich problem. Condition build has no elite usable due to plague form problem with agony as well. My necro wants to join in on the fun, but the three builds I use are severely limited

I would love to mix minion mastery with Lich Form and tried it when the game first launched. It seems very silly that I lose all my minions when going into this form, especially when one of the skills gives you minions. I wanted a hybrid power/minion build with Lich Form as my elite.
I know ANET said it was not a bug, but that seems most likely because they don’t know how to fix it. I truly hope they correct this soon as I’d love to bring out Lich Form again for this build idea.
Absolutely not, I think they got it right with GW2
I hope we’ll get optional skins for our minions, maybe in the gem store?
This is one of the few things I’d pay for, but doubt we’ll get. Makes it harder for other classes to know what is coming after them if there are alternative skins and therefore may have people whining about that if they do it.
Seriously sick of seeing some post saying we should change staff auto attack to a melee scythe attack. Seriously stop this bs.
What Necros don’t need is another melee crap. Instead we need better range dps for crying out loud. If you seriously want melee then dagger auto attack chain is the strongest auto attack combo out of all the professions. If your so bored with staff don’t use it fricken scythe freaks. This is not dante’s inferno where you can kick kitten with a scythe through hell and back.
If your unsatisfied with staff auto attack then just think of it as the only unsatisfying thing about the staff. The utilities on it are great. The range on staff auto attack is favorable even if its accuracy is not reliable. Seriously stop revolving only around the staffs auto attack and make use of the Necromancers other capabilities. So, your not constantly bored with staff auto attack.
Another thing how the hell would you be satisfied with staff auto attack turning into a melee scythe? It would just be a redundant combo or one hit move. If it was turned that way the way we are now how the heck can you do anything when range is your best option? Death shroud? Yeah a deteriorating death shroud as your only long range dps option good job imbeciles. Stop dreaming and start working with what we currently have.
I suggest you enroll in some anger management classes, your post is very angry.
However, to the topic, I do agree that we shouldn’t REPLACE the staff with a melee weapon. What I would like though is an actual scythe as a weapon for melee. If I can’t have this, please make the axe either cleave or bounce. Do that and I’ll be happy and that hole will be filled for the necros
“_” the Necromanager
:D
I love this! Very Asuran and fits the theme (especially if they “manage” a lot of minions)
Those offers are great, however I am pretty set on the TC server at this point, so I’m hoping to find something there.
I am a former leader of a GW1 guild that ran for 4 years and lead a 5 guild alliance. I’m older now and have a family and therefore decided not to resurrect my old guild when I started GW2.
About me:
-Played GW1 since the beginning
-Have been playing and having a blast with GW2 since BW2
-Gamer all my life
-4 lvl 80 toons and working on 5th
-Primarily PvE player who also enjoys WvW
-On Tarnished Coast
What I’m looking for in a guild:
-Teamspeak/Vent
-Mature, but fun loving
-Fairly large member base
-100% representation
-Active website
-Organized guild events
One final note is that I’m looking for a home. Although I do not have the full time to lead a guild any longer, I have ample time to advise, organize, assist, and mentor others. Although I would not expect to become an officer upon entrance (that would frankly be unwise of any guild leader), I would like a clear path presented on what is expected of me to get there. Frankly I’ve found that I want to help others (which is my real world job btw) and to share my experience in a formal capacity.
I know I may be asking a lot, but if you are interested in speaking with me, please let me know.
