No there isn’t, but you really have enough Signs for giving your character a long name, and I like that.
GuildWars 2 is just not the MMO >>I<< want to spend the next coming years in
Good thing you said that. See you later then.
I have 20-30 FPS on Highest Settings.
I have 20-35 FPS on lowest settings.
I don’t know whats going on.
This will happen:
BOOM BOOM BOOM RATATATATA PEW PEW PEW SLASH CLONK BANG SCREW THIS IMA RUN CLANK SWOSH DANG IT LOGAN
(edited by Justdeifyme.9387)
I like it when may Male Human Warrior says “OH! That had to hurt!” after I took a hard critical slap in the face.
Yeah, I’m sure it had to hurt.
That is cool, maybe it has to do with the upcoming Speech of Queen Jennah and somebody infiltrated the Watersupply System of Divinities Reach.
I like it :P
I laughed at Meguumi jungle
GW1’s first anniversary had a new continent, 2 new classes, new skills for every class, new armor, a new story, new henchmen, new pvp maps, and more…
I doubt we’ll get even half of that here….
Right, but even with the new expansion (which you had to buy anyway), there was still less content in Prophecies and Factions together than there was in Guild Wars 2 at launch.
Quality over quantity.
Still most people say “MORE! MORE!” Not “BETTER! BETTER!”
I also agree totally. I get a lot more money from doing what I was always doing, but now I find groups way easier. Even though the rewards have to be adjusted a little bit (I mean, 1g for CoF P3, seriously?) I enjoy this change very much. Also the Champion Rewards led to a new behavior of not just skipping every Monster. Whenever there’s a group with a champion, my groups normally kill them.
Kohler and the Troll in the Ascalonian Catacombs for example, People are encouraged now to not just run past them
I like the mix and the golden dye really looks awesome and shiny, you probably get instant Faceaggro from Skritt.
9/10
I made a Sylvari Necromancer a few hours ago as I got my 5k AP chest and was able to buy an 8th Character Slot.
I really love his look, even though his Voice isn’t as evil as it should be, he really looks like a fearsome Necromancer in my Opinion, but I’m blinded by the Love to my Characters :P
It’s a combination of Tier 2 and Tier 1 Cultural Armor with simple Japanelo and ebony dye.
Most people already know that we won’t see an expansion in the next Time, and I’m perfectly fine with that. I’d rather have bi-weekly free updates rather than an expansion.
And I don’t fear other MMOs, they have to go through the phase first that Gw2 has already been through. You haven’t seen much of those games either, and of course they promise much, every developer promises much and doesn’t even hold on to half of that, even Anet.
To your Points:
1. The Living Story will probably take place in new Areas very soon, as Anet said that now that they have a full rotation of festivals for the next year they can focus on more permantent and Storydriven Living Story Content, so I’m really looking forward to that.
2. NCsoft is the Publisher, the wallet of this game. You put your money into this wallet, and NCsoft decides if it opens itself for ArenaNet. Thats how Publishers work, sadly.
3. As I said before, everything sounds better on Paper or looks better in Preview videos, I don’t really think that any of those new MMO’s can live up to their promises, it’s hard to develop MMO’s, I think out of all Genres of Gaming MMO’s are the hardest so succeed with.
4. Patience, Friend.
5. As said before, NCSoft is a Publisher, a Buisness, they only care about money, as expected, you need to accept that.
6. A big amount of players enjoy the Living Story, yeah, the results would surprise you
7. Yeah, and we’ll probably be soon able to walk through that.
My Opinion of course:
Most fun = Warrior
Least Fun = Mesmer
PvP it’s the other way around.
I want Samurai Swords with the right animations, look at Dark Souls for example. I know It won’t happen but It’d be so awesome
I use swearing to show that I’m serious, in dungeons for example when people don’t listen to me. But I’m not insulting anyone directly of course, atleast not with swear words.

Dodge earlier, you get a feel when the shot is coming, I’m already in a dodge roll as the shot flies, and I dodge it no matter where it comes from in the end.
Why is he only farmable with those classes?
Yeah my heavy armor clanks while running, I love this attention to detail, it makes the world feel more believable
Pretty good populated on JQ. You need to wait until the Jubilee is other and the massive Farming Zergs spread out in the open World, then you’ll see much more people.
Nah, Heavy Armor has lots of variety, I find that medium armor has the lowest one, so I’d be up for more unique Medium armor sets, not only Trenchcoats over Trenchcoats.
Dang, she looks like a serious bounty hunter, I love that! 10/10.

I like the Warrior rifle… 15k Bursts with the adrenalin skill is pretty cool.
But in my opinion they should give the Ranger a rifle. Why the hell does a Ranger, a Hunter of the Wild, have no clue how to use a rifle? Give him that, with 1500 Range with the Traits in a perfect scenario my Norn can be a Sniper.
I only have time for one MMO at the the time, and as I’m completly happy with Gw2, no, I don’t need another one. I only play small games aside of guild wars.
It’s a mechanic of the game, I love downscaling, it makes exploring of Low Level Areas with High level Characters still interesting.
Why do you need Feedback from them?
My kitten sexy Human Warrior:
Helmet: Vigil
Shoulders: Brahams
Chest: Brahams
Legplates: Craftable lvl 70
Boots: Brahams
Bracers: Brahams
Colours: Silver, Black and Scarlet (Because Scarlett Johansson is kitten hot)
Anet said that now that they have a full rotation of festivals for the next years to occure again they will focus on more permanent and deep LS content, that’s what made me write this thread, I wanted to give people some ideas of what could happen, and maybe even Anets Guys some ideas.
Yo dawg, I heard you like expansions
So I give you the Living Story with Updates every 2 weeks and it’s all for free.
Lfg tool is already on it’s way.
Hello Guys and hopefully some Anet Community Guy who is reading this!
As we were told that with the upcoming Living Story Updates the Story will be expanded, I wanted to create this thread to discuss a little bit about how Anet will or maybe should expand the Story.
In my opinion Anet should ignore the Elder Dragons for a period of time. Let the Races of Tyria fight lesser threats, like the Aetherblade, or let them fight each other, not in a big War, but in small debates between their leaders creating gaps between their friendships and weakening them while completly forgetting about the Elder Dragons.
And then, take away something we learned to like in a scenario like this:
Jormag finally attacks from the North, but completly unexpected, he ignores Hoelbrak and goes for Divinitys Reach, where the people didn’t even know he exists. He attacks the Lands of Kryta, covering Queensdale, the Kessex Hills, the Gendarren Fields and Harathi Hinterlands in snow. For the Time of that Living Story, Icebrood are attacking everywhere and the Players have to defend the People in a whole Bunch of New events and Meta Events to fight new Claws of Jormag.
And then at the end there will be a new dungeon available for 15 Players in 3 Groups.
This Dungeon is Jormags Attack on Divinitys Reach. While he flies above summoning Icebrood everywhere and corrupting everything, one group has to defend the Base at the gate, and the other two groups have to get all civilians out of the districts and bring them to the Base at the Gate to Queensdale.
The Seraph and the 3 Groups fight their way to the Palace Garden and secure the Asura Gate, once it’s secure, an NPC will be send out to get help. After that you push further to the Palace, finding Queen Jennah in there, badly wounded. Of course Logan goes wild and runs out of the Door to find a Priestress of Dwayna. One Group has to follow him, while the others defend the Throne Room.
Logan manages to find a Priestress and she has to be escorted to the Throne Room, but it is way to late. Jennahs wound is corrupted by the Ice that caused it and she would transform into Icebrood soon, but she begs Logan to kill her. They may kiss, to make it more dramatic and then Logan kills her. In the same Sequence the Front Wall of the Throne Room gets ripped off by a Giant Icebrood Creature and the Players and the Seraph would get overrun, but through the Asuran Gate stream bloodthirsty Norn, Airships fire from above and the Charr role in with some Tanks, including Rytlock, Eir, Caithe and Zojja.
With a last big Bossbattle in the Garden against the undefined Giant Ice Creature, the Instance ends with a last Sequence where Trahearne comes through the Gate and everyone says “Good Job Commander Trahearne, without you we would’ve lost!”.
Jormag retreats back to the mountains and the time has come to attack him in his lair.
That would be my idea, of course it’s just thought, my whole point is not to force Anet to implement all I said, I wrote this to make my Point clear:
Tl;dr:
The Dragons have to take something away we like to make it more personal and important for us to kill them. And of course the fight has to be good too.
Thanks for reading!

His auto attacks bounce around without a red circle, so you have to look at him and react when he throws one, they are perfectly visible, I had no problems. Also, even with Zerker Gear and 18,9k HP I manage to survive atleast on mistake and heal myself up again.
No, why? Getting the cool armors in high levels is a good encouragement to get there for people who don’t know much about the game yet. It’s RPG Tradition with a reason that the cool armors come with the higher levels.
Just tell those people to read the wiki or go out again. Anyone who doesn’t prepare himself for a dungeon like arah needs to go back to the Bedroom he came from.
Ascalonian Catacombs are still a lot of fun for me even after more than 50 runs… just sayin’
Of course there are zerg trains, many people need shiny pixels and coloured names to fill up something inside them, I don’t need that, I play for fun, and seeing more people encouraged to kill the champions in dungeons instead of killing them makes me happy.
Try to develop a game, then you’ll see how hard that actually is and how much time things need to be implemented. The Guys from Anet are reading through these forums, they stated that multiple times, even if they don’t answer. You need to give Developers Time, they know about us and they care, they just have a big list of things that have to be done.
I did it on a warrior and I got some advice before, so I knew her mechanics at the beginning, but it took me 60 attempts to get her because I tried the Burst tactic of Wethospu, but that didn’t quite worked out for me. So I got myself a rifle and did it the normal way, did it after 3 attemps and went crazy in my Room.
My traits are 30/30/0/10/0 because I like the 25% movementspeed with a Melee Weapon. Used Greatsword for Mobility and as mentioned a Rifle to kill her.
It isn’t really hard, you just need to figure out the mechanics and learn the AoE rotation while staying away from the clones. Liadri herself doens’t deal much damage if you run away with Swiftness and keep kiting. It was a great fight though, was a lot of fun trying actually and it improved my Character Control greatly.
Also don’t stop to light up the fires, just run past them while hammering F.
invested time does not result in a reward if the time wasn’t invested well.
So even if you spend hours doing it, you don’t get your reward until you are successful.
I’ve been trying liadri for hours without success, should I demand the achievement now or what?
Asian Culture is the most interesting culture in the whole world, so no, you can’t have enough of that.
maybe we should give Anet a bit of Feedback to let them know that they need to adjust the Dungeon Gold Rewards.
I think the females are modeled so the weapons appear to have heft/weight/mass to them while the males are modeled as if the weight of the weapon seems like nothing to them.
Eh, my warrior doesn’t have these muscles and chest hair just for the looks, they mean something!
I large amount of players enjoy the LS actually. And Anet already has teams working on other projects than the LS, and those are probably expansions.
Thats your opinion. In my opinion it’s a good thing because it punishes players for not paying attention and reacting in time. Of course you can overuse those mechanics, but in the case of the gauntlet, where I successfully defeated every Enemy, it’s used good and with enough time to react. The Gauntlet is not made for casuals, and the mechanics are just right to prevent casuals from doing it easily.
Well One shot mechanics rely on reflex timing, yes, which is also a part of Skill and training, so you need to train to succeed in an encounter, and thats a good thing.
Well it would be nice to have the Pavillion still in use for something after this part of the LS, and the Zergs would be gone by then.
bump
The New Queens Gauntlelt is great, may not be polished yet but the mechanics of the various Champions are very innovative and awesome to fight against, if you bring the patience.
That is the main Reason I’d like it to stay in the game. It provides challenging PvE content and needs variety in builds rather than the full head on berserker build, even though it may work.
Also it would be a good spot for Guildies doing some private tournaments and other Stuff, or for some funny people even a drinking game (if you die, you gotta drink, the more you drink, the more often you’ll die). It provides a good training ground for Dungeon Content too.
Possible Problems:
Rewards: Currently the Fights give a good amount of Silver for their duration, that can be balanced out by forcing the players to BUY tickets, because the monsters and events down in the pavillion will be gone but It should still give Silver, like 2-5s depending on the tier.
Dulling of the Challenges: So it don’t get boring to fast, it should be added to the weekly rotation of activities, for one week it should the Arenas should be available and one new challenge should be added. I’m sure there is enough time in a month or so to make one challenge. If you need ideas, there’s a suggestion forum for a reason.
I’m eager to hear you’re thoughts about it, point out problems and give your feedback, as this idea is very important to me to know what other peoples think about it.
(edited by Justdeifyme.9387)
Not much, The Game is pretty easy to get into, and the community is very friendly too.
Just one thing: If you see people in downed state or dead, and there isn’t danger around, revive them.
