I’m a casual gamer and prefer PvE over PvP. My husband and I have our own guild, and quest by ourselves, mostly. I don’t understand why every holiday or special event has to center around a dungeon where you need to have to engage in another group. I’m not totally anti-social, I enjoy world events. I just don’t enjoy LFG. I know it’s probably just me, but that’s my honest opinion.

My husband and I have our own guild too and we don’t really PUG because we have a young child and need to afk at weird moments.

Our solution has been to just 2 man Tixx- we have done so for all 3 phases so far and it has been a blast.
I was really surprised how much fun it was.

Also there are tons of other stuff you can do in this event- just finding a patch of magic snow and having an impromptu snow ball fight was great.
The choir bell was awesome- I haven’t even got to the other things yet since I don’t have a lot of time to play.

I’m scared of the toypocalypse after 2 manning phase 3 yesterday.

This- seriously, the world does not revolve around the US.
There are people plying GW2 all over the world, it will always be someones prime time.

We had this too, it seemed that the different phases sort of bled into each other and resulted in a lot of mobs being red at the same time. I am not sure if this is intended.

My husband and I two manned it and it was a bit hairy!
We managed and got our rewards in the end
We kept thinking the whole time that the the toypocalypse will be no joke!

You sometimes get them for map completion I think, either that or dailies can’t remember which.
Btw the Trading post and gold/ gem exchange are across all servers

In Tixx’s Infinirarium, entering from Divinity’s Reach, we encountered a game stopping bug in stage 3, retake the princess dolls’ hamlet from the skritt.

My friends and I killed over 6 Veteran Skritt and a lot of the normal Skritt, while inside the mission circle, and the bar for the event didn’t move at all. This happened right after the patch. When we did it before the patch killing the Skritt inside the mission circle did cause the bar to move. This makes me wonder if something in the patch broke this event.

Is it possible that we were just doing something wrong?

Killing doesn’t make the bar move. You have to to make sure there are no Skirtt inside the circle, -that’s- when it starts filling up. You can’t have been killing them quick enough before the next wave came to invade.

You just have to keep the circle blue until the bar fills up-

I like the fact that you only have to do it once- it is fun, short and a nicely done.

Hi and welcome!
As others have said try every class to get the feel and see what you like, what I have found is that each class can be played in various ways so it really is all about your own preferred play style.
Try them in PvE to see how they play in the world- if you want an idea of how a class will play at max level- take your character into the mists- there is a practice area were you can rest your skills on dummies and Npc’s and you will be leveled to 80.

The best way would be to just buy a new pearl of the TP

The skill has a ceiling. Skill cap is easily achieved in GW2.

After you hit it, only the raw power of profession matters. And this is where every single nerf/buff counts

Yeah, I see a lot of people running with crazy and useless builds in pugs, die in every fight and feel fine about letting 4 other people down. But some people, like meself, don’t like to be subpar.

I see, ok, this is how you feel.
I don’t agree with you at all because I think that pigeon holes you into playing DPS and totally discounts some classes while favoring others.
But you can play that way if you like and certainly you can make up your groups how you wish.

OT just play the class you enjoy- hell as you said play all of them.
If you end up with 8 lvl 80’s you can pretty much pick the best man for any job or mood.

This is only applicable for solo play.

If you want to join a party you need to have max performance. Otherwise you’re just being a bad person and ruining fun for your teammates.

My main is a Mesmer and I absolutely love the class, regardless of the nerfs since launch.
I just adapt.

I have an Ele, Thief and I just started a warrior to see what the big hoo haa was about.

The warrior is powerful but a bit static to me and I fear that I might just end up deleting it, like I did guardian, engi, ranger and necro.

I can’t quite get to grips with the thief but I’m willing to give it some more time.

The Ele I enjoy a lot and will definitely take to 80.

I made a second Mesmer and I am loving it all over again- I think that of all the alts she will probably hit 80 first, in which case I will have 2 lvl 80 Mesmers

So I don’t think you should discard a class because of what they might do or not- If you enjoy it, play it.
The classes I deleted, I simply found boring to play.

Games evolve and so do the classes if you truly love how it plays, you adapt

Are you swapping attunements even though you are specced in fire?
You need to do that, seriously.

I use Scepter/ Focus for solo leveling and Staff as a back-up weapon. So can’t help there

You can respec your traits very cheaply at a trainer
I found Arcane trait line very usefull.

My ele is only at 50 so I’m new to the class too

I am not a major fan of festivals since they make me feel stressed and frustrated and with both Halloween and Lost Shores, I did the bare minimum before I fled for the hills and just played my regular game.

Wintersday is fun though, the art work is really impressive, the atmosphere is lively, magical and people are enjoying themselves.
I also love the fact that we can get the skins we want directly from the store.
Events are well explained, the npc’s are easy to find and there is something for everyone.

My only problem is there are sooo many things I want- great giving us so many cool things to choose from.

It does look epic- the witch outfit is awesome on my mesmer but I need this for my ele

Just report them, they have no place in the game.
It is a good thing to have actual value attached to resources and items.

Gunnar’s Hold is an awesome PvE server.
Don’t know about farming Orr since I haven’t been there is about 3 weeks :P
but most of the maps are busy and I have no problem finding players when I level my chars.

A pic for you: tonight when I went to LA there was a guild/ community hide and seek going on that developed into a really cool party- I spent about 2 hours at this party with people chatting away- sadly I had to log out

Don’t know how I feel about people not of my Order wearing my armour :P

My main is Whispers and I wear whispers armour, my main alt is Vigil and I can’t wait to get her her Order set.
My Sylvari is just about to join the Priory.
I love the fact that each represents her own order and their different views.

I do think that not enough is made of the character’s identity as part of a specific Order and would love to see more Order missions as character progression now that Zaitan is defeated.

I would like to see more of this type armour with a pants option- think cat woman ;D
but skimpy can be nice too.

Skimpy is nice, so is really form fitting the only thing I don’t like are those armours that make you look as if you just jumped out of a giant cake. They seem popular though

Ok- initially it was much more favorable to exchange gold for gems as you could get much more vs gems for gold.
Now it s very hard to earn gold in game by just playing so the gem price is very expensive- I paid 6,5 gold for a make over.
To me that meant I had to prioritize vs other things I needed.
Not even to mention my alts.

The gem shop would be much more successful if it supplied what people want to buy outright and the game would be much more enjoyable if you could actually work towards your goals. Atm I have maybe 2 gold spread around 5 alts. yeah I suck at the TP and I like crafting and skins and alts…

Today Shadow Behemoth was fixed for the first time in months, so they are clearly fixing broken content.
As far as new content,
what I would really like is more open world content like DE’s , Order missions, new recipes, new skins that are region specific and more activities in all the racial cities

This is something I’m pretty sure that even Anet is aware of but 3 EU servers are unnecessary and their overal population in WvW is pretty damn low. PvE is also not good on numbers.
Servers in last EU tier literally have no one playing WvW, there are some people, but it’s really really bad. Personaly I’m on Gunnar’s Hold, and our numbers are bad as well, not just in WvW but in PvE. Only areas that have players are Cursed Shore and Frostgorge Sound, other zones are not that good. But more on to the point of WvW. It makes for unhealthy playground, new players are not going to play WvW when no one is actually playing it. Not to say how free transfers are ruining low tiered servers both in WvW and PvE.

I would advise Anet to take action on this problem, you can even compare NA population on servers with EU, and you will see that NA has better population because it has good number of servers, while in EU there are 3 more than it should have.

I am on Gunnar’s Hold and in the case of PvE, I have no Idea what you are talking about.
I play 5 characters of various levels so I play on a a lot of maps, I have never seen an empty map even in day time.
I run into players all the time and if you go into the starter zones and the cities you will see lots of new players that have just joined.
Even Divinity’s Reach have players running around at all times.

This sound to me like you have a problem with WvWvW- fine- but don’t drag PvE into the argument.
Gunnar’s Hold has a very nice, fairly mature community and I do not want to be merged with a server full of players that are the opposite…

ps Gunnar’s Hold is classed as high pop at least it was 3 days ago when I bought my daughter’s account.

That would be cool- in addition crafted dyes should have a higher change to actually be of the tier that they are crafted on. As it is they are difficult, expensive and time consuming to craft

I think Dyes are fine, it might be PR to claim that having them character bound makes for unique palettes but I have certainly found it so.

Each of my characters have their own scheme that I use for them alone and none look alike.
If I really must have a specific dye, I buy it off the TP.
I don’t care much for the rarity- I sold my abyss because I prefer midnight fire- only the colour and how it looks on a specific character.
You can always swap colours with your guildies, so you can all get what you want.

I never said that Zaitan was not easy to kill but that is another topic- his minions do populate Orr however.
It is essentially their “homeland” so yes it is hardly going to be a picnic spot.

Anyway OP seems to be talking about Southsun not Orr

I would like this as well since our daughter plays with us and she has trouble navigating.
It would be awesome if she could focus on playing, rather that just walking.

About your account, I don’t think that you can formally hand it over, but have you considered just giving it to him- what I mean is give him your log in details so he can play on the account?

That way he can still play and I don’t think/ hope that violates any rules since it is your personal info?
You might want to change any of your own info that is linked to the account however like CC details, emails etc.
