But once a guy wishper me that I’m a noob and he lose the match (and against me) only why it’s in a bad team. Then bet 10 golds that he was able to kill me in 1vs1. He was with a engi but swapped in mesmer to fight me.
Then i go in the arena he sayd to me and we start the fight.
He died more or less without the need to active my healing skill… He was really a bad player. I’ve never find a mesmer so easy to catch XD (exept me when I use the mesmer.. I’m really bad with that class XD)
Then he asked me another fight. At the third lose he just say “yeah, you’re good with your condi guardian” XD
Sometimes you find guys that make you smile XD
The revenant is the main reason why someone will buy the expansion, they can’t give it us early.

Actually we focused into Conquest. that in this game make us able to play different roles and strategies.
Bunker to hold the point, decapper, dps to kill the enemy. We have to defend the point, conquer the enemy points, pay always attention to where’s the enemy and the strategy used to attack you.
There’s teams that focus on decap, teams that focus on hold points with a lot of bunkers, teams that zerk, teams that focus on kill the enemy by dps and who kill the enemy with the help of a necro to debuff them, making the enemy weak before kill him.
All the builds of GW2 in sPvP focus on the Conquest playstyle. That’s why no one want to play different pvp maps than the 3 we all love.
Ad to end: I really liked to watch the tournaments.

-Engi is basicly weak against ALL condition class, not only guardian burn. You can use the elixir C, the trait that convert conditions and the one that make use and throw a elixir clean a condition (all 2 minor traits that you obtain immediatly when chose the alchemy traitline.
-Thief can use Invis cure, the teleport skill and the sword skill 2 to clean conditions. But if you don’t use that or use only one of that you will always be weack against ALL condition damage builds.
-Mesmer have a lot of ways to clean conditions. Torch, mantra (but no one use it), traited Shatters and the one that give all the conditions back to the enemy (really useful to kill a guardian with its burn stacks).
-Ranger trapper have 0 condi clean skills. But if you use the survival trait you obtain a large amount of condi removal skills (heal+elite+lightin reflex and you altready have 3 condi clean that clear 2 conditions each, with 2 slot for traps, signets or other survival). There’s also the signet, but frequently work bad why it’s bounded to your pet. And you can use shout with trooper rune, but only if you play the beastmaster build and only few players use it.
Seriously: do you want to kill a pure condition build with more or less NO condition clean skills?
It’s a joke, right?
If your problem is the condition damage, there’s a way for every class to reduce the problem.If you want more defence you have to chose a more defensive way to fight. You can try different builds or weapons (expecially for the thief that can clean a lot of conditions with the sword skill 2, expecially good against a class that inflict only one condition like the guardian)
And condition builds will always inflict more condition than what you can clean but it’s supposed to happen why they also need to deal damage…

A guardian dps die against me and start to tell me that I’m a “condi noob” XD
(that happen expecially against thiefs and engineers, classes weak against condition damage)
A noob condi guardian that “spam burn” is really easy to kill; I kill them every day in spvp.
I’m a skilled player, expecially with my condi build, a build that is really hard countered by the actual meta.
That’s why I can kill other guardians with a build that basicly is weak against good dps class with blocks, blinds, immunity and condi clean skills (all that a guardian dps is).
I really like when someone that is supposed to kill me easy die and insult me why I use condition damage XD

The Dragonhunter add nothing to the old guardian builds, DH focus on Change the roleplay and the gamestyle of the guardian, making it more able to be a ranged class, expecially a backline supporter (LB+Staff?).
About LB and traps that’s right, the synergy is more or less 0 why traps need to become ground targeting to make you able to use it.
I really hope they make Traps GT skills.
The Dragonhunter focus on change all the playstyle of the Guardian, that make also it’s weapon and traits lesser useful for a lot of actual builds. That is supposed to happen.
That is also more or less the only way Devs had to change “drastically” the guardian , making the new specializzation totally different by the actual class.
The only specializzation actually revealed that don’t really focus to make anything totally new and can be really used to power up every single build of the main class is the Chronomancer, that possibly will make the Mesmer more powerfull than it actually is. And devs also made a new condition all for them… (slow)
Reaper focus on a firstline melee fight (a bad thing for a class that totally lack of defensive skills, but it’s ok in pve), Tempest focus on support (also can stack burn in a insane way but it’s not been the first thing anet thinked about making it), Herald is a pure support specializzation, Berserker is a condition specializzation (with some really goos application in direct damage builds, but still focus on Burn).
Actually almost all the specializzation try to focus the class on a New Playstyle.
Thje guardian has always been a Melee class why we never had a good ranged weapon!
Now we’ll be able to have one. Let’s see how it will change the guardian playstyle.

Stop running in and out of the Purging Flames, you did this to yourself with a lack of awareness.
That’s not how Purging Flames works.
You cast it once, and upon casting, it inflicts burning in the area and cleanses conditions. After that it just decreases condition duration.Actually you are the one who is incorrect, Purging flames does all that but it also summons a ring of fire. Crossing the ring gives 3 stacks of burning just like the ele skill.
That’s correct and incorrect at the same time:
Purging flames inflict 3 stack of burn when casted on the enemy and when the enemy cross it. BUT if the enemy is affected by it one time it will no more be affected by it.
You cast PF on a enemy and he can move in, out and cross the firefield like he want why he already received the 3 stack of burn. The same if it’s aleady there and he cross it.
PF actually can’t inflict more than 3 stack of burn.
It can be a unfixed bug or there can be a really high internal cooldown that we don’t know.
The problem about the ele’s damage is:
MIGHT!
A ele can stack and keep by itself during a fight 20 might stack.
That’s 600 of Power and Condition Damage!
That make it powerfull both in direct and condition damage still while in celestial.
Add to that 190 of free power and +20% of damage by traits and you obtain a celestial build with the same damage of both a berserker and a condition damage build.
THAT make the Elementalist OP.
It’s a class that can deal the direct damage of a berserker, the condition damage of a condition build and survive like a bunker at the same time.
You need practice to amster the elementalist, it’s a high ability – high reward class, but the reward is really too high.
How to “fix” that problem:
Drastically Reduce the BAST FINISHER skills of the Elementalist. Let them be AoE but no more Blast Finishers!
That will make the ele still able to give fire fields and make every dungeoneer happy and at the same time make the ele unable to stack more than 9-12 might.
If you’re a thief (15k hp + 1 sec to clean a condition? thief right?), you can’t win against a condition damage class with 15k hp and only one and slow condi clean skill. In that situation double tap at random with the skill 2 of the sword and you clean 1 condition in 1/2 sec easy every time you want, making the guardian unable to deal good damage to you why after that burst he can’t inflict good burning anymore.
Burn is strong, but guardian isn’t the best class to use it.
And to inflict 12 stack of burn with only Purging flames and judges intervention he had to hit you 18 times in 2 seconds to stack 6 burn.. there’s something wrong…
If you been unlucky he had activated passively the trait to be in zealot’s flame, but that need to stay really close to the enemy and last only 3 seconds, inflicting 3 burn.
You faced him in melee more than “1 seconds” to recive all that burn, expecially if the guardian had the hammer (you sayd you’d expected the hammer circle).
A thief can’t kill a direct damage guardina, that can deal 11k of damage to a berserker thief in 3/4 of a sec with a single skill. If you fight a condi guardian that you know that can stack burn and you fight melee making him hit you free, it’s shure that you die.
You will die against anyone if you let the enemy attack you with the same amount of skills that a guardian need to stack up 12 stack of burn.
Then, if the guardian burn look OP, let’s try against a condi ele: the ele can stack burn more or less easy like with the guardian, frequently better, but can also stack up 25 might, making it’s burn deal 50% more damage than the burn of a guardian condition.
You will be able to recive 7.3k/sec from a elementalist that stack 12 burn on you.
Necro isn’t the best condition Damage build. It’s more something like a debuffing class, that inflict cripple and weakness AoE. that convert boons and inflict fear.
In PvE that’s totally useless, but in spvp it’s really good.
Actually yes, we have not a good burst condition build.
They increased the projectile speed by 66%, making it fast like the engi rifle projectiles.

Did you know that you need to stay immobile and without a single dodge/evade/blind/block/immunity/clean skill to make the guardian inflict 13 stack of burn on you? (4 skills that inflict burn also proc the F1 passive, adding 1 more XD).
And did you know that torch skill 4 can be evaded just by jump it? XD
And that a guardian can do a burn burst but then it’s skills go in cooldown, half of them for 28-34 seconds, making it have a hard time to stack burn more than 5-6?
Yes, is hard fight a burning guardian. But wait a moment that it inflict all the burn he can then active your clean skill and kill him easy. You can also send back burn witbh different classes skills and with the sigil of generosity.
Actually the burning guardian is the worst build for guardians. That’s why a good player with at last 2 condicleanskill can kill you easy. If there’s a guardian or a warrior with shouts/warhorn or a necro witht he signet your burn damage will drop to 0 in a second.
Burn is good, but a burning guardian have not good chance to build up might then burn don’t become Op like for the elementalists.
It’s only a l2p issue, nothing more.
I “never” lose against a condi guardian in 1vs1 why I know it’s really easy to counter.
The theory is: add a specializzation to make the class able to do something it was not able to do till now.
Actually there’s only 3 that fit that idea: dragonhunter, berserker and tempest. Expecially the Dragonhunter, that add a totally new playstile to the class (that’s why not all guardians likes it).
The Chronomancer is a general power up of every single build of th emesmer, making it very powerfull (I think that you will see a large amount of mesmers switch in chronomancer at the release of HoT)
The Reaper is a strange thing why it add very good traits to power up the old dps build but also focus the player in to a old useless build (chill build), that everyone know that actually don’t work. We hope that devs make the reaper able to spam chill like the hell why it’s the only way to make it viable. Then there’s RS, GS and Shouts that force the necro to fight crowded by enemies to be efficent. Previously you will try to not be in the middle of the fight why the lack of defensive skills, now you’re forced to fight in the frontline. It’s a good change but risky.
That cange the necromancer making a previously useless build viable(?) and making it fight in frontline without defensive skills. I’m not shure that it’s a upgrade… But it’s cool u.u
Anyway, the theory is still: vmake the class do something that it can’t do.
It’s not really a upgrade, it’s a chance to change your playstile with your favorite class.
And you’re nt forced to chose it, you can still play your class like you actually do (I wil keep my guardian a condition guardian like it actually is without use the dragonhunter traitline, that is useless for my build).
But yes, I’m one of the people that hope that the Specializzations will be better than the actual classes, at last for the release of HoT.
I play condition guardian for fun (it’s my favoreite build but the direct damabe build is way more effective in damage and defence) and I can kill eles. I nkill more or less every not really skilled eles in 1vs1 why if you seewhat weapon they use you can predict they’re build.
Actually this game is pretty well balanced. It’s not the top and eles and mesmers can kill more easy a enemy, but every class have a build very good.
Every time there’s a big change the “meta” change and the same has the player to do. And pop-up new builds very good to use and able to fight different classes and builds.
For example the ranger sword/dagger with 90% protection, swiftness and regen up with a single shout skill, that can make it very hard to kill, adding all the dodge/evade he can do. If you also use the pet that inflict taunt+weakness when use it’s F skill the enemy need a long time to kill you, more than the time you need to kill him. All that by a single traitline. You can add Survavibility to obtain a lot of condi clean and a elite skill that recharge every 48 sec, not bad.
And all that can be mixed to a dps amulet! (both direct damage or condi!)
But nah, everyone play only the max dps ranger build, that let me kill it so easy that frequently I don’t need to use the healing skill, screaming to me thet I’m “op” why use burn, a build really easy to counter that deal lesser damage than the direct damage one.
There’s a large amount of build that no one use and I don’t know why.
Try every possible build of your class before say that it’s totally useless.
PvP isn’t perfectly balanced but I’ve never find a single game where the pvp is better than in gw2.
I had play lineage 2, aion and tera, archeage plus some little bad games. Ad I’v enever find a pvp better than that. Lineage is totally unbalanced. Aion the same (it’s a lot that I don’t play but the last time the cleric was the lord of the world in pvp, lol) and tera isn’t balanced. Archeage is really unbalanced.
There’s a lot of problems in gw2 pvp, but isn’t the worst pvp you can find in mmorpg games.
I like the idea. The name make me think about something more phisical, but a condition specializzation can be really good in a class that have not a good chance to inflict conditions.
And what about direct damage? We have already a large amount of incredibly powerfull damageing weapons (GS-Axe). What did they add more to a class entirely focused on direct damage?
They chose to make it a condition damage class. I think that it’s good.
Burn actually is barely OP and it’s damage can make the warrior able to inflict insane amount of condition damage.
We have still to see skills and traits of berserker specializzation in POI and then in action in the next BWE.
Before that we haven’t the chance to say if that specializzation is really good or bad.
Anyway there’s a lot of chances to change something if it’s not efficent, like about the reaper and it’s Shouts and GS.
Anyway… 3 condi cleaned (every 20-15 sec?) by the torch damaging AoE your enemies with burn and direct damage, plus always 3 condi cleaned every 5-7 seconds (we actually don’t know the cooldown of the next F1 rage skills) and more or less always adrenaline full why it bcomre really easy to full, proccing also the trait hp regeneration.

The warrior can actually do everything, the only exeption is condition damage, a side where the warrior lack of efficence.
That’s the reason why Anet chose to make a condition based class.
To deal damage you already have GS/Axe+mace
To be bunker you have already Mace+shield/hammer
to be support you have banners that apply perma regen
to be hybrid you have sword+warhorn / LB
Youcan do enything.
What do you want? A specializzation that do something that you can already do in a very great way?
Or a new way to follow to deal high damage and try a total new playstile?
I think that that specializzation will be very good!
Add something completly new to warrior: condition damage will be very good with the mace+torch in spvp to burn and confuse the enemy!

Actually the state of the warrior in spvp is really underestimated why a good warrior can really deal a high amount of damage, survive to anything, fight AoE with gs and clean conditions every single moment, with it’s usual immunity to damage and conditions that make it hated by a lot of classes and players.
Now, if the warrior will be able to recharge faster it’s adrenaline to obtain faster a F1 skill (with lower damage but with best effects), activating also a lot of traits (clean 3 condition recharging only a single bar of adrenaline? obtain a good passive healing with only a single bar of adrenaline? It seems nice to me!).
Condition damage is the only thing the Warrior is still unable to do properly, then it’s the focus of the specializzation. Burn is really powerfull in spvp, the same about all the other conditions if mixed to deal damage.
The only thing I can’t belive is that Devs put another Phisical skill set on the warrior!
Is the Only that have Phisical skills and they’re actually bad in every situations of the game (only rush can be good with the GS combination) and what they give to the warrior? Another Phisical Skill Set!
They said that Rage Skills will deal different effects and grant better things to happen, but ehy, they look more or less the same thing to me.
out of that, I belive in that specializzation. It add something that warrior is actually unable to do and can be combined with the actual playstile pretty well.
And we have still to see the traits!
For example: reaper have horrible shouts but the Reaper Shroud and it’s Traits will make the necromancer a god on earth!

ANet want to change a little some classes making it able to do something that was unable to do before.
Actually the best example is the Dragonhunter, that make the guardian play a full new role. Chronomancer don’t really add a new role but give better support to allies and conditions to enemies. Tempest make the ele able to spam it’s boon all around the world and granting more support to the allies (it already give it with firefield and waterfiald, but that specializzation focus also on auras to give boons to allies). The reaper don’t really add anything to the necromancer… but it’s cool XD And 3/4 of it’s weapons deal ranged damage, making the GS a really good choice to do a melee class that can stay in the mid of a fight dealing AoE damage.
Now you have a class that have All ranged weapons. What’s the easiest way to add something totally new to the class? Add a Melee weapon!
Then, you can stay happy: the hammer will have some ranged attacks, something like the CC skills on guardian and warrior hammer. What about a engi Hammer skill X that crush the hammer on the ground and shoot you with missiles become coming melee to break your a** ?
And at last you can still use all your kits: grenades, mortar, flamethrower, elixirgun, to be shure to have enough ranged options to strike your enemy.
I really like the idea of mobs that can kill you in 2 attacks (2 slow and easy to avoid attacks).
Yes, if there’s 2 or 3 of them that focus you you’re in troubles, but that will force players to go around in teams and finally play bunker builds in PvE!!
I really like to be forced into a PvE where I need to find at last other 3 players to be bale to go through some areas, to fight some mobs, and that I need a bunker in my team and/or a heal/support build.
That is the base for a build diversity in pve and for a cooperative play between players!
Devs want force you to stay in the mid of the fight while you wield the GS, where you will be always able to hit a lot of enemies.
That’s the same thing for the shouts.
it’s not a specializzation made for 1vs1 fights.

Guardian have ONLY BURN as a DAMAGING Condition. If you say that it’s untrue you’re a hotjoin n00b that watch only the theorycrafting builds and don’t the effectiveness of the different builds in a real fight. You can’t use the sigil of earth or geomancy why you’r top of bleed inflicted can be 2 stack (3 if you mix them both), making that really useless on a condition build that don’t focus on bleed. No one in spvp use that useless sigils because there’s a large amount of better sigils like Generosity, that is a very powerfull one.
And the Guardian condition damage isnt’ really high. You have 1600 condition damage and can’t really increase it why if you use staff to stack might you lose half of your weapons that can grant you to stack burn.
And 2/3 of the skills that grant you to inflict burn have 28-34 sec of cooldown and the other have 12 sec of cooldown (torch) and can be reactivated by trait every 10 sec but only on a critical hit, then you’re not always able to active it (you can have equipped your sword/focus or your GS and can’t be able to active it, for example, or be CC away).
In a fight I frequently can’t keep the enemy with more than 5 stack of burn, with only sometimes a little “burst” of burn when my skills can be used again.
The big problem is the Elementalist:
The problem of the Elementalist isn’t that he can inflict a high amount of Burn stack. The problem is that the ele can stack 20-25 MIGHT, making it’s direct AND condition DAMAGE Insane, still when he use a Celestial amulet, making him able to deal the same direct damage of a Berserker build and much more damage than a Condition build.
A Guardian condition can stay more or less at 1375-1450 condition damage, a Celestial Ele can reach up 2300-2400 of condition damage!
That make the Guardian inflict 1000/sec damage with 3 stack of burn and Elementalist inflict 1500/sec with 3 stack of burn.
It’s 50% More Burn Damage!!!
With 12 stack of burn (the best utility combo of a guardian) you can inflict 4000/sec, a rewy high damage.
But with 12 stack of Burn a elementalist can inflict 6k/sec of burn damage!!!
With still a very high direct damage! (more than a condition guardian damage, more or less comparable to a dps class!)
The problem with elementalist is not only that he have skills on weapon, utility and traits that grant him inflict a really high amount of burn, the problem is that he can stack MIGHT for a Insane Amount, making him really OP in every kind of damage he chose to use!!!
For sPvP the burning guardian is good but nothing more. It’s damage can become insane, but only if the enemy don’t block/dodge/blind/clean/immune your skills and burn stacks.
Actually the meta is against conditions more than against direct damage why the past meta is still feeled by players like a current one and there’s in game both direct and condition damage builds that work very well.
Burn damage is very high but it’s highly countered by a really large amount of classes and builds. You can metlt down thiefs and engineers easy why they’re lack of condi clean skills (there’s only few builds for engi with enough condi clean skills to fight you) but all the other classes will make you cry to be killed (good players, I mean, because bad players will be dead in a second). For example, a good ele with diamond skin or a necromancer (expecially a necromancer) will never die against you why it’s build is more or less alway focused on counter condition damage, survive and deal damage better than what a condi guardian can do.
Actually the direct damage build inflict more damage and in a more “burst” way then it’s always the best choice for a high level fight why it’s lesser countered by actual specs than the condi one.
I really love the burn condition build and I play it but it’s more for skilled guardians that like to have fun with condition damage than for guardians that want to win.
I think that might will proc only for you and if somebody with your aegis block an attack don’t proc your trait abilities.
Necromancer is a class supposed to don’t have stability at all.
It’s to make the necromancer weak to something more than a Focus strategy in spvp and make it feel much hard the lack of block/immunity skills.
It’s also a thing made to force you to play in a team.
When I play Necro in www with my guild we provide always a Guardian for the Necros to make them lesser weak in zerg fights.
At last you can wait until the release of HoT and play the Reaper Elite Trait Specializzation, granting you 3 different sources for Stability! (utility shout, elite shout and reaper shroud skill 3)
Increase the damage.
If you deal more damage you survive better why the enemy is forced to defenda itself before be able to attack you.
And a better chill uptime can do something.
It became useless against eles and warriors why they have a large amount of skills to prevent your chill, but it’s a good thing. Also because Reaper had to be the Master of the Chill, like devs want it to be.
I think that they’re not really bad.
They basically need to be more “offensive” and deal more damage.
1) +20-30% basic damage of all shouts.
2) The trait mantain the way it reduce the cooldown and make Shouts deal more damage based on how low your Life Force is. (why if you’ve enough LF you can enter in RS, but with low LF you’re more weak and need more damage from your utilities)
0-25% LF = +100% damage
26-50% LF = +75% damage
51-75% LF = +50% damage
76-90% LF = +25% damage
91-100% LF = no extra damage
3) Rise need to summon something better than mobs that die so quickly and deal low damage. Also a New kind of Minion. Better than Jagged Horrors but not OP. it can be a nice add to a reaper MM build. (a new minion is always cool)
Or they can make it summon Bone Minions and add that you can re-active it to obtain a Damaging Blast Finisher skill! It’s the only summoning skill that have not an active skill when you summon your minions. It’s a shout, but it’s also a Minion skill.
And reduce it’s casting to 1/2 sec.
4) Suffer! is good as it is, had only to inflict a longer chill, something like 3-4 seconds +x% by traits, equipment and food. And add a 1-2 sec of vigor for every enemy you hit, to make the skill more like “I give you back your conditions and strip you away your vigor!”, in perfect bad guy style. Reduce it’s casting time to 1/2 or 3/4 sec.
5) Your are all weaklings! is pretty good. I like it. Reduce casting to 1/2.
6) Nothing can save you! is good in a pvp situation but it’s very bad in pve. Not so much to do. It’s supposed to be a pvp skill, not a pve skill. But you can add a personal or AoE Fury of 2 seconds for every enemy you hit, to finally grant to the necro another source to obtain Fury out of the trait that grant you fury when you enter the DS. Reduce cd to 1/2 or 3/4.
7) Your soul is mine! is good but I actually don’t remember if you recive more HP for the number of enemy you hit. If don’t, add it, it it’s already, increase it. And make it 5% of LF generation x enemy, not only 4%.
8) Chilled to the bone! is good but need it’s casting to be reduced to 1 sec or 1.1/4 sec, why 2 sec is really too long. I’ve tried it in spvp and I’ve never been able to cast it in time why someone always stopped me with a CC skill (or killing me). It’s a high cooldown skill, then the casting time can reduce by a lot.

Arnath, you finally can feel how the necromancers feel from the release of the informations on the Revenant’s Legendary Demon Stance, that is a perfect example of how we always asked to make the Necromancer.

It’s not a “clone AI” problem, it’s only why if you shatter them, swap and shatter another couple of clones immediatly (obtaining 2 clones immediatly by utility, dodge, chrono traits?) they run to the enemy why you’ve activated that skill. If you wait to active the skill they will wait with you before run to the enemy.
Where’s the problem?
I don’t like PU and the "OP"ness of a class that can kill more or less every other classes and can’t be hardcountered.

But mesmer is a class, nothing more. I like to fight a gainst a good mesmer. Hate only the fact that sometimes I die before I can even notice it why he shatter me for 15+k of damage while in stealth.
Out of that it’s a very good class.
I’ve posted against PU and that actual 2 traits of the chronomancer because I think that they will make it OP. Yes.
You’ve never posted because you’ve thinked that 1 or 2 traits or skills will make a class OP?
mesmer have builds for every situation. If you’r problem is condition damage, use Inspiration traitline and Arcane Thievery and kill every single condition damage class that you see on your way. Reduce a little your damage or your stealth duration but you can kill them really easy with that trait. I’ve see a lot of mesmer use it.
Anyway, that couple of traits like they are will make chronomancer really OP in every single build you will chose to use: shatter (for shatter why you need only to make 2 copies and a phantasm, active F3 to daze your enemy, dodge to reach your 3 free minions to shatter and inflict all your damage to a immobile enemy -theory-), for Condition (you shatter inflicting tormen then you take back a phantasm that can inflict conditions and when you want you can inflict your confusion+torment with F2), or you can active wathever Fx you want to heal yourself if you want to do a … defensive build…
Too easy too rewarding. That’s all. No hate, no vengeance. Only two traits that grant a reward too big and too easy to be combined with all the mesmer’s build of the game.

I don’t play warrior it’s the first class that come in my mind that active a damaging F1, to obtain something similar to be compared.
I can reduce my damage by a little, what’s the problem? I lose 30% of my damage? If I inflict14-15k of damage by only press F1 (I play a berserker build and a mesmer can more or less inflict me 15k of damage if I don’t block/evade/blind that damage), I renunce to it and chose to inflict only 10k. I think that’s already enough damage for a single skill. Expecially if I will obtain back 2 of the “minion” (this way you don’t be confused between clones and phantasms, ok?), making me immediatly able to active other offensive and defensive skills.
If you don’t want the duelling traitline you can use domination to deal more damage, duelling only made my example easier to do.
I can kill some mesmers but not all. If the mesmer is good I’m a good player and I know how to use my class against a mesmer, but I can’t do nothing more to die more slowly. If the mesmer isn’t a good one i can kill him easy or I can kill him with some difficulties. But I don’t know a player that can say that he’s build hardcounter a mesmer.
Seriously, I don’t know anyone that can seriously hardcounter a very good mesmer.
Some time ago thiefs wil lbe able to kill a mesmer, but I know a member of my guild that is unkillable. He play mesmer from the release and he’s a beast, that’s true, but he never lose a 1vs1 and can win 2vs2 (depending on the classes). Before the patch he was able to oneshot anyone, after the patch he’s able to destroy anyone without a single problem.

I really like the mesmer. It’s finally a good class! Deal damage, have a high risk → high result playstile and had some builds that I really like.
The only thing is that I really don’t know a class that easy-kill a mesmer.
And a class that isn’t hardcountered by another become immediatly OP.
For example, I can kill easy a large amount of rangers and warriors and thiefs builds. But I can’t kill necros (really can’t), eles and mesmers.
And I have to play at my best to kill engi and guardians.
But can you show me a class that can easy kill a mesmer? Make the example of two classes against a mesmer really can’t win with your build. Two builds against you can’t do anything to win. (we’re taling about high level spvp, not hot join)
My fear is that Chronomancer, with that 2 traits, put it more in evidence, making it hated much than actually is and nerfed to the ground.
But with this 2 little nerf you can still use that traits and be able to deal all your damage, without be overpowered.
A cooldown of 6 seconds can be very good, for example, to not make you abuse ot that trait to be really a god to hit, stun and blur, damaging the enemy and making you untouchable while still able to inflict all your damage. But it wil lgrant you the cance to obtain back a clone and a phantasm, making you able to skill immediatly to block the enemy or evade all the damage. And that’s a incredible power given by 2 passive traits.
That’s my opinion. Mesmer is good, but that rick to make mesmer really overpowered, like it actually barely isn’t.

Illusionary reveng grant 1 free Clone and Chronophantasma grant 1 Phantasm Back (only for one time for every phantom, if you shatter it twice it don’t come back anymore).
You have Two Traits to obtain clones and phantoms back. That make you able to stay more or less alwasy with a clone and a phantasm up.
Before say that I don’t know what I’m talking about read and think about the chronomancer skills and traits. You’re the best mesmers of the game, right? Why have I to explain one by one all the traits of your elite specializzation?
If you want you can cancel that post. No matter. Mesmer is still overpowered.
But, seriously, why the hell a Chronomancer have to stay ALWAYS with 2 clone/phantom active?
That make the class really broken!
The only thing that a mesmer have to do is make clones and shatter them in the face of the enemy. (and survive by teleport, decoy, etc while the enemy don’t know where you are, taking time to heal and recharge your skills)
If you make the class able to have Always it’s clone and phantosm to shatter, that make it increadibly stronger than before.
You shatter, then dodge and you have already 3 clones to shatter another time.
That’s not a little too easy and too much????
It’s like making the warrior always able to skill it’s F1, swap weapon, dodge or press a skill, press F1, swap weapon, wait a moment, press F1…
That’s a little exagerated, but it’s Only an Example to explain the concept. A chance to always active your best skills to kill your enemy and save your a**, just for Free.
And if you look, warrior F1 skill have more or less the same CD of Mind Wrack. Add to that that mesmer have other 4 very good skills and yes, the example isn’t so exagerated now.
Now you will kill me because I’ve compared the mesmer witht the warrior, but the thing is that: too easy, too frequently, too rewarding.
That traits need a little nerf or it will be a big problem at the release of the game.
Seriously, guys, dont be alarmed only why it’s your favorited class and look at how really OP that trait can be if combinated into a shatter build!

1) You can drop the shatter damage, it give already enough damage to strip away half of the hp of a bunker class without problems. +30% is very good, but you can do enough damage without that trait.
2) In my rotation I’ve write to active F5 not why you can active it another time to obtain another time it’s effect, what’s that, an eternal loop? It’s to say that you have to active the “back to the past” effect or wait that the effect start by itself.
In that rotation you can do 4 shatter, not infinite shatter. But I think that 4 shatter is enough damage to take down anyone still if you play in sentinel XD
3) It can be used. Hard to use, at last you do only 2-3 full shatter and not 4, but you can do it, that’s the problem.
4) Why did you think that I think that illusionary reversion and Chronophantasma affect Mind Wrack cooldown? It’s not for the MW CD, it’s why if you shatter 3 clone/phantom you obtain back 2 of them immediatly, every single time (if you make another phantasm, for example, because the first die if shattered twice), making you to immediatly active Another Shatter skill (or MW if you active the signet). And let you stay in the fight always with clones and phantasms is a problem for your enemy when you go in stealth or use a clone-swap skill and he lose you.
And 2 free copies grant you, for example, 3 sec of daze or 3 sec of Blur, immediatly after a big MW. No more need to use the sword skill 2 or the stun mantra to immediatly evade/daze the enemy that attack back in responce of your attack.
it give you a easy and simple way to survive better.
5) The clone can be dazed but if you immediatly shatter it there’s no need that ANet increase the daze duration why that clone can be shattered immediatly and the phantasm can still run to the enemy before he explode, making that 1 sec of delay nothing more than the time the phantasm need to run to your enemy and explode.
6) Tempest obtained only a offhand weapon and a rework on it’s attunhement, not a new F5.
And yes: continuum is hard to play but medium risk and incredibly high reward.
And if you want you can do your perfect shatter rotation out of the mid of the fight if not still noticed (like when you return from be killed or come out of stealth), making you able to active your elite twice, for example. 2 moaform in the mid of a fight and the enemy team is dead, no matter how many evade skill the moa form has. They can be evaded or blocked, but if you know when use it you will have no problems to transform two enemies into moas, making them useless for 10 seconds.
7) I’ve tried it. The rotation is very hard to do, very very hard. You need to be fast and hope the enemy don’t CC you to hell, but if you stay a little at range you can do it. Expecially with all the stealth that you can obtain with the torch and decoy. At last you can shatter twice.
The Chrono isn’t the perfect class, isn’t the god of all gw2, but it’s F5 can seriously change the end of a fight in more or less 4.5 seconds. F5, shatter, elite, wells and again shatter, elite and wells (if you don’t use wells you can active a lot of good utility skills).
Chronomancer have a lot of traits that make it able to make things that no other class can do, things that if you play well gives you low risk and high reward. (F5 and shatter+elite from the side of the fight, for example).
Add that to the actual incredible damage and survavibility of a mesmer and what you obtain is a mesmer that can do it’s incredible things twyce.
Really, if you play Chronomancer wou will Never stay with lesser than 1-2 clones and phantams and that make it really OP when used in a shatter build.
Combined with the F5 and the signet you can seriously shatter 4 times in 10 seconds.
That’s a little too much.
The thing isn’t wrong. It’s good and well inserted into the idea of chronomancer.
But it will grant to the Chronomancer a insane amount of copies, that make the player able to shatter anytime he want with a good result. In a condition build when you have only to press Fx and inflict torment on the enemy, if you have all that clones and phantasms all the time you’r work is too easy to do!
Mesmer already have a insane amount of damage and a really high survavibility and mobility. If you add a free clone and phantasm and a free turn-back-and-hit-again with F5 you will make it Over Powered.
It’s like make the warrior able to active Eviscerate 4 times in 10 seconds! And from Range and hard to block/blind (it can be evaded evading all the attacks at the same time, but aegis, a block and blind don’t block all the shatters, making the mesmer able to inflict damage). It is something that should not happen!
To prevent that Chronomancer become really OP my proposal is to add a ICD into the traits Illusionari Reversion (8-10 sec and of ICD) and Chronophantasma (10-12 sec of ICD).
That will make that traits still viable but not OP like actually they are in the Beta.
The problem is that mesmer is actually not countered by any class and really hard to focus. If you try to focus a mesmer he can simply clone-swap, making you lose the real target, stealth, teleport, active sword skill 2 to be untouchable and F4 for the same effect, but reflecting projectiles (if you use the trait).
Now, Chronomancer is a very good Specializzation (the best of all we’ve seen, i think). Good weapon, good design, good utilities (sometimes they require a good situation to deal it’s best but they’re good) and very good traits that focus on manipulate the Time.
But, comparing with the other specializzation traits, Chronomancer traits can be used in All the actual builds, granting Always greath things. Slow to defend and quickness to attack, extra critical against slowed enemies (very good in pve but lesser good in spvp), but the 2 main problems can be: “Every Time you Shatter you Obtain” a Clone and “The First time for a Phantasm that be Shattered it Turn Back” (if you shatter a phantasm and then make another and shatter again the one that had alreaby been shattered die but the new one come back).
That two traits need a BIG ICD!!!
Come on, a good mesmer can play with 2 clone/phantasm near you ALL THE TIME!!!!
I’ve make a try and a Chronomancer can Shatter 4 times in 9-10 seconds!
make clones – F5 – make clones quickly by dodge, utility, weapon – Shatter – Signet – clones – Shatter – F5 – repeat.
All the other specializzation grant a specific playstyle: Dragonhunter focus on the LB and the new Virtues; Tempest focus on Overloding attunements, warhorn and auras, creating a specific support focus for the specializzation; Reaper focus on Chill (chill, chill, chill everywhere!), vulnerability and Reaper Shround (but only a little useless trait for shouts…), granting a good direct damage build that point to slow the enemy (but that work bad in spvp… ouch…), they only forgot to add something good for condition damage, making that specializzation good only for direct damage in RS.
Chronomancer is the Only Specializzation we had the chance to see that don’t focus the player on a new build. At last your wells can help the team and do great things in www, the same for the shield, but if you want use only the traits and the shield (very good in spvp with block and quickness/stun skills) you can make any build you want. You’re not forced into direct damage build or a condition build or a support build or a new kind of build. Conversely, you are pushed to use it in every single builds you already have, making them Better!
Chronomancer is the Only Specializzation (but, yes, we know only 4 of 9) that had obtained a Totally New “F” Skill!!!
There’s 2 things that ANet can do to balance the Chronomancer.
1) Put a ICD into Illusionari Reversion of 8-10 sec and a ICD into Chronophantasma of 10-12 sec. (there’s also Seize The Moment that can need a ICD, that combined with some F skills and utilities can grant a insane amount of quickness)
2) Cancel the F5 and make it REPLACE F4 skill. Them bot grant survivability and they can be replace each other. The specific trait can make the Continuum Split mark reflect projectile, making it harder to destroy instead of making you reflecting projectiles when obtain Distortion by that shatter skill.
That will make the Chronomancer more in line with all the other specializzations and lesser “OP” when used combined with the actually powerfull build of the mesmer. Granting it to remain a very good choice to do but lesser OP than actually is.
Expecially for the traits that grant you to obtain back your phantasm and a clone, that make the mesmer able to use it’s Fx skills too often and without the need of a single skill but all in passive.
I love that difficulty on mobs. They hit hard, they strike you with knock back skills, they can be immune to damage if you hit them on the head or in the back, they can kill you quickly.

It’s funny, it’s hard, you can’t yust run berserker and kil leverything like a god, you have to dodge, make a good build, use defensive trinkets or armor to nbe enough defensive to survive.
That high damage can make a bunker or mid-bunker build finally be usefull in PvE!!!!

I’ve try a think:
2 clones and a phantas, F5, then you have 1 clone and 1 phantasm. skill to obtain a new phantasm, shatter, reobtain a clone and the last phantasm you’ve done, active the skill to reactive your Fx skills, shatter again.
You can do it faster than 4.5 sec if your enemy is near you. Then your F5 skill activ eit’s effect and you reobtain all the skills and traits to make another combo of 2 shatters.
If you have problems you can help with Mirros Image (2 clones) and Decoy (1 clone and stealth).
Yeah, 4 full shatter in more or less 9-10 seconds!
That’s not a big problem, right? A full shatter can more or less deal only 16-18k to a berserker. What can be if you can do 4 full shatter skills in 10 seconds?
You will be able to kill more or less anyone.
I’ve try it. It’s hard to do, that’s right, but it worked and I’m not a mesmer player, I’m barely mediocre to use it.
1 clone Every time you shatter? 1 Phantasm can come back when you shatter it?
Oh, boy, You will never ever see a shatter mesmer without clones to shatter!
The same for condition damage classes, that inflict torment when use any kind of F Shatter.
And you obtaina Free 25% of movement, that add more mobility to a class that have already too much mobility and survavibility.
The problem of the Chrono is that isn’t focused on shield or wells like dragonhunter with it’s bow and tempest with it’s overcharged attunement and auras, or reaper and chill (reaper grant the chance to be used well also in other builds like dps and condition, that’s true, but lesser than chronomancer).
But Chronomancer don’t make you forced to follow a determinated way of the game, it follow only the chance to obtain quickness, that is the greatest boon of the game and inflict slow, that’s the greatest condition of the game (expecially in spvp).
It make you free to still play all your old build, adding power on what was already powerfull, without any problem.
Mesmer is a class that actually can counter more or less any build of the game and isn’t countered by any specific build.
Ele is powerfull and can kill easy any condition class, but a good direct damage (for example a necro) can kill him with not so much problem.
Engineer is powerfull against direct damage builds but is weak against condition builds.
Mesmer can kill dps builds, bunker builds and condi builds without problems why it’s incredible high direct damage, it’s absurd number and duration of stealth skills (kitten PU…), immunity skills (F4) and god movement and teleport skill. All with a lot of clones and phantasms that make sometime hard to find the real one, then you need to spend a lot of seconds during a fight only to find the enemy.
Actually a good mesmer have not a single real enemy in spvp.
That’s what make it “OP”.
And Chronomancer will not help us to kill him for shure, granting him double elite, double heal, a second chance to fight why you can burst him down but he had previously activated F5 and you have lost all your best skill hitting a enemy that come back like nothing is happened, reactiving all it’s powerfull skills.
Yeah, Chronomancer will be a really bad class.
Why someone will desire to chose it?
P.s. I know that play mesmer is hard and that in some situation is harder than other classes, but it’s really a class that actually have not a single real counterbuild that can kill him. That’s the problem. The class is good like it is, but all the other can’t kill a mesmer and that make it able to win against anyone. And that make it “OP”.
Depend on how you want to play the reaper.
Lookin on the traits there’s a chance to make it the best condition build for the necro, with the combo of the trait for the scepter and dhuumfire on reaper, making you able to stack 10-12 burn all the time against a pve enemy and stack 4-8 burn all the time on a pvp player.
The same about www, in a zerg you will be able to stack a insane amount of burn.
Plus chill and all the other conditions.
If you llok at that, scepter can be your weapon.
You’ve mentioned Rampage. It’s the warrior skill or the amulet? Why if you’re talking about the amulet, that guardian will be dead in more or less 5 seconds? And If you’re talking about the warrior’s rampage, it’s a powerfull elite, not all the class.
The guardian condition build have lesser defensive skills and traits than the direct damage one, making us lesser defensive. That’s why we play frequently in Carrion or Rabid, to obtain a little more vitality or toughness and survive better.
About classes that kill you if you don’t pay attention for a second… you play thief, right? Have you ever try to don’t pay attention to a thief? It’s your work, guy, you know that if someone don’t notice you you can kill him easy! (or easuer, taking the first hit)
Have you ever try to don’t pay attention to a mesmer? Or a ranger with LB? or a fresh air ele? or a necro in DS? You will drop dead more quickly than against a burning guardian.
When burning guardian will dominate the world you will see only burning guardians, all the time. I actually see 90% direct damage and support. Then, it’s not the best build for a guardian. Only a good one that some players like to use instead of the classic two. Nothing more.
At the end I repeat:
I don’t play that build why it “DOMINATE” enemies but why I like that build, I like the guardian and I like condition damage and I don’t care of the lesser efficence of my build why I want to have Fun in that game playing my Favorite Build on my Favorite Class. And I think that it’s the same for my guardian comrades.

Yes: a thief Can’t kill a burning guardian (a good thief can but have to be very skilled and don’t miss a hit). You haven’t good condi clean skills and if you face a guardian in 1vs1 or 2vs2 you probably drop dead in 5 seconds why you have 11k of hp and not a single good skill to clean conditions (the teleport skill clean 3 conditions but I’ve never see a common thief use it to clean my burn. You can try, it’s a very good skill).
Thief is really weak against guardians and against conditions. Mix the two into a condition guardian and you find your nemesis.
It’s a Build that you can’t kill. Surrender to the truth and leave happy. You can’t win in every 1vs1 with every classes and builds, right? Your words!
But a Build that you can’t kill isn’t a OP Build. I can’t kill a necro with my condi guard but if I take a mesmer I can kill every necro on my way.
If you use a necro you can kill every burning guardian in the game. Try it ;-)
I don’t play burning guardian why it “dominate” the enemies, or you will see ALL guardians play it.
Actually is Direct Damage Guardian Build that “dominate” the enemies, not condition guardian.
If you use JI while you’re using WW it DON’T break your animation or your damage, simply move you in another place. It’s the same trick that use thiefs to stomp or eles for hit with the earth dagger skill 5 while a enemy try to flee.
P.s. how can I stack 5 burn every 5 sec AoE? Really, I don’t know a similar skill O_O
If you’re talking about Zealot’s Flame (not actibated, the active skill is Zealot’s Fire) it can stack 3 burn in 3 seconds in a range of 180, that’s a melee range. Frequently useless unless you don’t active the skill to inflict 3 burn on the enemy by range. It’s given also by a trait, but if you add it you have to stay 6 sec in a melee range to inflict 6 burn every 12 sec. It’s good, but it will never happen, unless you’re really fighting a noob. And torch is at 90% combined with scepter, that’s a ranged weapon, making that strategy lesser viable than before. And almost all classes have a way to play ranged if you start to set yourself in fire, preventing all your damage.
by AA with scepter I can stack 1 burn every 1.5 sec. It’s more or less 5 stack every 7.5 seconds.
But you’re talking about 5 stack at the same time, right? What kind of skill is that? I want to have it!
And with GS is even hardly to stack it with AA (it’s animation make it take longer to hit than 1/2 sec), and skill 2 stack only 2 burn every 10 seconds.
With sword I can stack on the enemy a lot of stack, but not more than 2-3 at the same time, frequently not more than 2 at the same time.
If you’re plaiyng a thief and face a burning guardian you have really to be a great thief to win (I’ve a friend that win against condi guardian with it’s thief, but he’s a beast).
How can face your nemesy, a class that have everything that counter all your skills (defensive skills, immunity, block, condition damage, teleport and leap), and pretend to win easy like against other classes?
If I face in 1vs1 or 2vs2 a necro I know that I’ve to hope that he has not it’s DS charged or I’m really dead in 10-15 seconds without a single chance (if he’s a good or mediocre necro) why he have a very high damage and can eat and send back all my burn, killing me with my same burn stacks. But I don’t pretend to kill him. He totally counter me, ok, I lose against him, I try to focus and fight against another class, that’s all.
We have only to spam burn, but you have also only to active the venom, hide, teleport (or do both as one with stealth), quickness, backstab, AA (and skill 2 if you want) and the enemy is more or less dead. And if the enemy isn’t dead active the teleport and stealth back to prepare your next attack. Expecially in team fight while I’m not focusing you or I’ve totally not noticed you why you’re in stealth.
The thief is much more dangerous than a burning guardian in situations like that.
It can be a very good Idea, something that we ask to devs from a eternity. Infinite duration and more hp for our spirit weapons.
But no one listen us
Mefiq, you speak like you’ve try the burning guardian against some very noob pugs with horrible builds that don’t cooperate with each other and stack all near you giving you no damage and letting you destroy them with your “perfect and powerfull” combo.
And you speak also like you can make that combo every 2 seconds, while you’re talking about ww that have 10 sec CD, BB that have 30 sec CD, JI that have 36 sec CD and PP that have 28 sec CD. And like the enemy still stay all stacked all the time, granting you the chance to use your skills at the best without any problem. And like they don’t even ever CC or attack you, making you never in need to defend or take the range.
If your enemy team is composed by a shouting guardian, a ele, a warrior, a thief and necro you obtain that result: You active PF in the mid, use GS skill 5, grab the enemies on your PF inflicting 3 burn, active JI and ww. You obtain: thief stealth and backroll/teleport away (if he don’t daze you with the pistol), ele is immune to your condition, guardian weaponswap and clean your burn (and some warriors start a fight where there’s a guardian with Berserker Stance up to prevent all the fire damage, then you give no damage to him) , necro transfert back your 10 stack of burn and guardian clean all the remaining burn stacks with a single shout.
Total damage on 5 enemies: 2-3.5k on the thief (3 sec in stealth to clean burn or waiting for the shout of the guardian), 0 damage on the ele why have diamond skin (or he clean it all with cantrip or evade with mist), 0-1-2k on the warrior (depending if he swap it’s weapon immediatly or not and if he active BS before or in the mid of your combo, or wait for the guardian shout), 2-3k on the necro and then 3k/sec to you why he transfert back all your burn, 0.5-2k on the guardian depending while he active the shouts and how much shouts he active.
Total max damage up 5 good enemies: 10.5k of burn damage. 11 to make we happy.
A GS 5-2 combo with a direct damage marauder build:
Active the skill 5 and grab your enemyes to you, then active your perfect invincible alwaykittenting Whirling Wrath. In 3/4 sec you deal 8k to the thief, 6-8k to warrior, 8k to ele, 4k on guardian (bunker?) and 8k on necro. Without chance to be evaded, why all we know that WW is the best skill of the game, right?
Total damage in 3/4 of a sec: 40k.
Now… where exactly is the OP ability of the Burn Guardian, against a good team?
At they’re top, if you deal 10 stack of burn that last for 3-5 seconds your damage is more or less of 9k to each enemy, if they don’t clean/immune/transfert it with any skill, making you deal 45k in 5 seconds against some ignorant noobs with bad builds and not a single condition clean skill.
40k in 3/4 of a sec (3k of burn damage?) against 45k in 5 seconds ( 4k of direct damage?).

If you hit every time, if the enemy don’t block/evade/move/teleport/blind/immune/CCyou/jump (torch skill 4 can be jumped, you know?) and they haven’t anyone to clean conditions, yes, it’s a very powerfull combo.
But if the enemy run away while you spin you can’t hit him more than 3 times, reducing your burn, if he have a block like a warrior shield or a common block that block your torch skill 4 your damage is reduced, and I can continue with more and more examples. And everyone actually have at last a single condi clean skill or skills to reflect back all your burn, some classes have aoe condi clean skills and some classes can become immune/resistant to conditions. If you try to use GS skill 5 to grab the enemy, the enemy can block/blind/evade////// it or have stability and you fail.
Yes, on the paper the Guardian condition is the best of all, can stack 15 burn and deal 5k/sec (more or less 3 stack of burn on a condi build inflict 1k/sec why a single stack deal a little more than 300/sec, not 450 like you said, instead if you’re full of might and stack of condition sigil, that’s more or less impossible ina spvp situation unless you have a very good theorcrafted team), can teleport, block, blind, survive, inflict good direct damage and AoE kill everyone only by itself with 5k/sec of burn damage in the mid. (but if you active torch skill 4 is a single target skill and if you don’t active it is hard to find someone that don’t run away from you and let you stack your burn)
But… ehy… how many times you have the chance to do a perfect combo against someone?
The only class that let me do my best condi damage is the necro, that use it’s skills to reflect my burn back XD
And if you compare it to classes like condi ranger condi mesmers and condi engi, that don’t use burn or use it with low stacks, the difference isn’t so high.
GS is a good weapon but it’s not the best for a condi build why it’s AoE but it’s hard to hit a enemy and slow in the AA. With direct damage build half of the GS 2 can deal a good damage, with a condi build is better the sword skill 3, that hit a single target but hit in a range. You teleport, active it and if the enemy try to run away you still hit him because your attack is ranged (a bad ranged attack but still ranged).
At the end:
If you find someone that really let you do all your combos, don’t clean burn and let you kill him with 5k/sec of burn damage you can be shure that it’s a very very very very very very very bad player with a very bad build. If you can do it in a fight in the mid is because the enemy team stay alla stacked, making you able to kill them at once, with or without burn. And yes, it’s also a bad team of bad players.
90% of times there’s no one that let you stack more than 7-9 burn and frequently he clean/convert/transfer it out quickly.
Burn Guardian is more a funny build than a efficent build. It’s good, burn is good, but the cooldowns make you unable to inflict good condition damage after you do your rotations, leaving you without good chances to inflict condition damage.
It’s highly countered or outnumbered by traits and active/passive skills.
On the paper is the best, but if you play against someone that know how to play and how to fight a condi guardian or against soneone with a good build against condition classes you have to be very good to win.

The big problem of the guardian is that without equipment or traits that increase your vitality we have only 11,5k of hp.
That make us unable to build a efficent build that don’t include a good way to heal ourself, expecially in spvp (shouts or meditation).
Then, you can make offcurse a build that don’t include it. I’ve see in the past builds with spirit weapons (when tye was still viable) and actually there’s someone that try sometimes the Signet build.
But the problem still remain: out low hp pool make us unable to build something that don’t include a self-heal source or to be iper bunkered with statistics (vitality and toughness).
If you want to make a Dragonhunter in soldier/sentinel you can obtain the survavibility of other classes, but you will no more be able to inflict high damage.
Then, at the end, we’ve never had a good Ranged weapon with Ranged utilities and that can make us able to use a marauder build with full traps and LB (traited it will knock back and slow your enemies and that’s good). That can make us similar to the actual gameplay of rangers that try to not be focused and shot from above, but with some good traps. In spvp thheres 2 traps that can really be good in a fight in the mid.
But if someone focus you you’re dead.
