Just like QJ, the dailies count towards the meta.
I don’t think reporting it here will do you any good. Right click-report, then right click – block.
After this release the teams will have 8 weeks to work on each segment. I love the 2 week release schedule; if one release is a dungeon I know a release that’s fun or at least different is only 2 weeks away:)
Whatever I feel like doing at that time pretty much. If it’s not fun I don’t do it.
Crown Pavillion was not a good place to farm.
I theorize that any sort of place where you can farm with a NPC-provided boost (such as Pavillion or the Karka Settler event we had a few months ago) has a much lower loot table since the huge boost in MF would have massive influence on the value of rares/exotics.
Not to mention it is entirely possible that useless rares/exotics such as the gauntlet/voting tickets, or the watchwork recipes that sell for copper may be interfering with the loot table.
I should also add another reason why I get so many exotic drops is because my kill rate per hour is high. The more mobs you hit, the more opportunities you get to roll for loot.
When we had anchorage farm last week, I farmed with plenty of guardians. You could tell those who have no clue about farming as well as those who are pros. The very bad guardians don’t know that moving around is essential, and not needing to keep hitting the same mob 10 times. Or that you don’t always have to spam 1, and that a properly traited symbol guardian can attack two places at once.
Remember penitent camp? You could have three waves spawn at the same time. And as a guardian, you are capable of attacking all three waves (+15 enemies) at the same time within 2 seconds. The pro guardians know this, since 1 tag on each mob is enough to get loot. That’s +15 chances at loot.
As opposed to the bad guardian who would only face one wave and spam 1, hitting no more than 5 enemies.
All I can say is, the mechanics of the game are right there infront of you. If you do not wish to take advantage of it, it’s not the game’s fault. It’s yours.
Pro Farmers eh? Doesn’t this make you feel a bit squeamish inside that your only objective in this scenario is to tag as much loot as possible while not really contributing much in terms of effectiveness in actually playing the game?
When you have a zerg with you that is more than capable of completing the event due to sheer numbers, then yes, all I care about is tagging.
Do you actually enjoy this style of play? You wouldn’t rather be rewarded for effort versus mindless zerging ad nauseam? I am not concerned with the argument, that this is the system that is in place and you adapted to what was available. I am curious if this is actually the type of game play you find entertaining?
Actually yeah it’s really fun running around with a whole load of people killing stuff since I’m not a teenager and don’t have 10k hours to devote to learning a video game the way I used to.
OP: I’ve been playing for almost a year and haven’t gotten a precursor either. Anyone who says they’re getting 10 exo’s/week or something is either playing as their job or lying to you.
Given recent events and changes it’s not that rare anymore. I’m not disagreeing with your other statements but exo’s are definitely dropping a lot more. Certain ones especially, there are some going for 40-70 silver on the AH now.
I haven’t been heavily farming champs but I got a lot more exo’s during Southsun than I have before or since and that was 1-2/day at best.

I only had time to participate in one last night but we finished it with like 10 minutes to spare and I got 15-20 delux boxes to boot.
Weird, I’ve done a few of these so far and haven’t been disconnected at all…
Join within 10 minutes of the invasion and you’re good to go. Invasions start at the beginning of every hour.
That’s not guaranteed – there were like 6 of us in an overflow instance in Hirathi Hinterlands this afternoon. We were there for easily 30 minutes prior to the hour. The event never triggered, and we were never pulled out of overflow (nor prompted). I’ve run the event three times, and this was the only time I had that happen; so it’s likely intermittent.
You don’t want to be in overflow BEFORE the event, you want to get into one that was created <10 minutes after the start of the event. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t, but if you’re in an overflow before the event starts it definitely won’t start in that overflow.
Since the overflows are different servers, or at least different instances, it’s pretty obvious that the events on your homeworld and the overflow server, while happening concurrently, are different and you shouldn’t leave an overflow event once it’s started if you want to complete it.
This is a completely different issue from events not happening in overflows that were created <10 minutes after the event started.
What a long, strange trip it’s been.
Wait, no, I just got knocked on my butt…
Note to self: Don’t bother with these things until they’re fixed…
It only works if you join an overflow that was started within 10 minutes of the event starting.
In theory…it worked about 1 out of 3 times so far in my experience.
How would you know when the overflow you went to was created, to know if it should spawn an event or not?
Because I ported there less than 10 minutes after the event started. There’s usually not an overflow for Fireheart or Blazeridge(not for a long time anyhow, and Shatterer wasn’t up) as far as I know, so it didn’t exist before the event.
Yeah I have no problems with zerging a bunch of champs up and completing the event too, that seems to work just fine and is a load of fun to boot.
Got through one event with no problem last night with #of players set to high and detail set to medium. Don’t think the problems are server side…

Yep I just got one from the 5k box last night.
dont worry, anyway overflow is a tag to a fail event.
The only time I’ve completed the event was in overflow.
You should have gotten 2 rares and a bunch of other stuff too, I know I did. Not to mention having to empty my inventory at least once during the event and having like a dozen delux gear boxes when it was over.
Was it too hard to make a mini dungeon in every map, with the same concept, but champs scaled down to 5 people? Players can access it once when the event starts in the area.
Why would they do that? Dungeons aren’t fun. Running with a giant zerg from event to event and getting loads of loot IS fun.
Sweet a dungeon that I can solo…I was almost able to solo the MF dungeon but the bad AI made it impossible so this is great news!
Sweet! I’d buy SAB as a standalone Steam game that has monthly or bimonthly updates or something, love it!
Sorry for the confusion. We’ve made the appropriate teams aware of this.
So the responsible parties have been sacked is what you’re saying?
;)
Always use the 2 part verification scheme for online games. If the game doesn’t offer one, do not play it.
I thought there were going to be options for how detailed you want the character models to render?
From SBI:
There’s a Champion Icebrood Quaggan in Frostgorge near the SE corner. I rarely see people try that one out.
I like to solo that one when I’m exploring Frostgorge with a new character, one of the easier high level champs:)
The only annoying thing is that there hasn’t been a dodge daily in the past day or two when there was one of these GS’s near the spawn. Two or three dodge rolls through one of their attacks and that’s 1/5 to tick off my list. Other than that I was getting a good chuckle from being dropped into the overflow with one near the spawn last night.
Show him Shadow Behemoth, everyone is impressed by that their first time.
She’s not bare-foot. I think she wears other people’s feet as shoes. There’s probably a ton of homeless Krytans down in the sewers without feet. Jennah’s shoe cabinet must be some kind of cabinet of horrors.
She’s like a reverse Mombi!
Try almost every explorable dungeon.
most dungeon boss attacks can be avoided or tanked by pets
His point is that overreliance on 1-2 shot AOE’s is less ‘challenging’ than ‘friggen annoying’, I know it’s the main reason why I don’t do dungeons.
I don’t want to create another character just for the sake of having something new to do. DRESSING characters is what I DON’T WANT to do – it’s not a kittening barbie game.
I thought this when I first started playing, but it really is about the dressup at the endgame.
Some guy told us not to kill the Oakheart the other night because the zerg was going to get it next. We killed it anyhow…no complaints but I would have laughed at him and blocked him if he started complaining. Since it’s the internet, it’s pretty easy to ignore that kind of thing:)
GoM still has people doing the metas, though not as many as before since they’re farming the pavilion and champ trains at the same time. Since I was doing the metas regularly way back before they added the good loot it’s actually kinda nice to see them less populated than before, it means people are going out to see more of the world now.
Ectos are up from @18s to @24-25s last night. I’m pretty sure that the economist that they pay to do these kinds of things knows what he’s doing.
I love it with my Necro because I have a good PvE use for Epidemic now…drop it on a legendary and see all the vets absolutely melt:)
They expanded the servers earlier in the year already from what I remember.
All content has a polarizing effect on the player base, it’s the internet.
Right click/report…no good reason for you to take harassment for playing the game.
I’ve fallen off plenty of cliffs because I accidentally tapped my auto-run key, and couldn’t fix it in time.
Yeah this, I’m bad with getting my fingers out of position and hitting autorun, then continuing to hit the wrong buttons to (not)get myself to stop until I run off a cliff/straight into an aoe/etc…
People cry over all sorts of things, including TV shows. Crying about losing something you’re really into isn’t necessarily a sign of something wrong.
To me that’s strange, I only cry over fictional things when I’m drunk and even then I know it’s a silly thing to do. Getting so attached to a video game that you cry because you don’t like the new temp content and you might not be able to have 100% completion in it means you’re too attached to said video game and need to take a break.
I can’t watch the sky too often or I won’t be able to see where I’m going…stupid camera:(
Considering there are probably a fair amount of people who don’t know what a Deadeye is and a lot of us aren’t doing the gauntlet at all anyhow, I don’t think it’ll be a problem.
A good mesmer should be able to solo almost any champ, heck I made it through half the MF dungeon solo until the lousy mob AI made it impossible to solo. Patience is the thing, you have to be able to want to spend like a half hour soloing one mob and to me that ends up being too boring.
Sorry but i let myself go with my feelings and in part of it i cried so couldnt stop sorry for the inconvenience
Honestly, real honesty here: If you’re crying over typing a story on a forum about a video game because you don’t think you can 100% complete that game and might miss some content sometimes, you have a problem and should stop playing the game. You are far too emotionally invested in the game. Play another game, go outside and get RL friends, anything but do not play GW2 if the LS content literally makes you cry.
I like the living story because it’s something different to do each month. I don’t have any desire to get to 100% completion because that’s silly. I see loads and loads of people doing the LS each month on my server so I don’t think it’s discouraging anyone from playing.
Yeah I’m hoping I can sell them, no way I’m doing all the running around necessary to fight in the gauntlet.
Seriously I’m very hopeful that they’ll add ‘fun’ to the dungeons, that’d be as good as an expansion for me since I don’t play them due to them being anti-fun(otherwise known as ‘work’).
It kinda sucks, I was looking forward to this being like the Instigators in Southsun which could be farmed for hours and hours with no DR. Loot drops don’t seem to be as good either even with more MF, though that could just be RNG.
You already got the chest at 2500 you say, you’ll get the next one once you get to or exceed 3k.
