Oh man, that’s really bad. They actually tried to pass off bug fixes as buffs. What a bunch of [redacted to avoid infraction].
lol nicely said, thats how i feel about it. the gm traits seem like they are leftovers appart from the shatter one and the interrupt trait, they seem not well thought through and i think anet really doesnt know how mesmer function, what our problems(no aoe!?!?no raid builds)are.
now they fix bugs and pretend they actively worked on our class. no they havent, the fix is not enough. we need more build diversity and more group builds, aoe skills, ai fixes, etc…
all they have to do is talk to us like the people that play mesmers every day. there is mesmers that only pve and they can tell them their needs, some mesmers love roaming and spvp, they can tell them what they need. and people like me that only wvw raids,zergbusts organized guild groups,gvg’s can tell them what they need.
if u dont understand the class then dont just throw stuff at us without thinking. just double check what does mesmer need. we dont need stronger 1v1 stuff, we need aoe, we need non ai build options, we need more mesmerlike skills and traits, aoe interrupts, aoe cc, confusion like abilities.
i mean just look at gw1 mesmers…we need something back from that.
well if u get a gm trait as a mesmer that gives u 1k healing power u kinda wanna scratch your head on this one. if u know how to mes u would know how useless a healing power trait is on a mesmer! also the distortion one is not well thought out as a mesmer would need the distortion more before enemies die… how about if immobilized u gain distortion? just sayin that would be useful….
the mes gms are not very well thought out appart from the interrupt trait that could maybe open a few wvw possibilities.
im just worried that mes will again only get bug fixes, a bunch of useless traits and then nothing to help us in wvw raids where we really need help.
I main a mesmer and I completely annihilate people. especially warriors they stand no chance lol

I’m no expert with mesmer so there will be better build/tips, but with this one I rarely have any problem 1vs1 :
This is a standard shatter build, as soon as you understand the concept of shattering it will rocks a lot, against power based specs or 1vs2 i usually prefer portal instead of arcane thievery to confuse my enemys even more.
You always need to pay attention on where are your illusions/you and your target is, there was a video on this forum explaining everything important for shatter mesmer, maybe someone will find it.
The mesmer as a great survivalability even in serker builds, the important thing is to dodge/daze/portal/stealth at the right time, and of course burst in the right way.
Or a dire armor + perplexity is alway good against noobs

good luck with this build in tier1-tier2. u are soo glassy!!!i run with a zergbusting group and this build would kill me in like 2 seconds. i immobilize and its over, plus most of the zergs have 2-4 thieves ganking casters. u would get 1 shot by them.
i like the shattter for roaming though and yes it kills fast. lets hope the ferocity is not gonna make shatter builds non viable

yeah i mean i was asking for aoe for my mes so i could be ore than a veilbot and anet responded so amazing and gave us a gm trait that gives us 1k healing power per interrupt a 3s distortion if someone dies…(well ill die a lot with that for sure lets hope my 3 s distortion will go to the team when i die so at least the rallybot is useful).
the shatter trait sounds interesting and i will try out the interrupt trait too….but the others are rushed, probably leftovers from other classes and dont deserve to be gm traits at all.
Thats true, but i still think if you coordinate well this could be really powerful. Since once you kill the first guy you can just use the distortion as a free stomp against any other dead players, which just increases the time of distortion, which lets you kill even more players.
And multiple mesmers with this? Who cares about a hammer train
erm soo and hooow exactly do u get the people down with multiple mesmers if they run a hammer train? and then also finish them, cause there is always 1 or 2 rallybots….. im just saying its not a good thing that this trait triggers on death of a player u had to tag…its just not something i would use like this, i think though ill give the domination interrupt one a go with staff. that one sounds pretty good.
I seriously cant believe no one has mentioned this yet. Imbued diversion+new dueling GM+masterful reflection. Basically, mesmers just became amazing in a zergs frontline and in havoc groups as well. With no ICD this could be almost permanent.
What if you get a 5+havoc group with full zerker just looking for massive zergs. Once you kill just one guy (easy with 5+ in full zerker) youd become this unstoppable, invulnerable, reflecting, massive dmg dealing ball of death. With only 5 people. (Hell, you could do it with one)
Once you kill one guy…you’d have 3 seconds of distortion. That doesn’t last very long.
Yeah, but then another guy drops, then another, and it just keeps snowballing until theres a dead zerg
erm sooo and what if u are outnumbered? enemies wont drop like flies the moment your group attacks. if im not careful ill drop in 3 seconds because i got caught by immobilize or so.
this trait is useless at this time of the fight. maybe after, but if u get flanked this trait wont help u at all.
well ranger is erm well ….well..sry i got nothing….but mayyyybe there will be more changes and we will see some rangers on the field…. but atm ranger has no role in wvw at all, which is sad… i do see way more engis than rangers in kitten.

k fine. then just nod nicely and accept everything they do the the mesmer without ever speaking up. enjoy playing a class that gets pushed out of meta in every single game mode. u might enjoy being a veilbot, but i dont. any other class is more fun to play in wvw apart from ranger.
on my ele alll i have to do is getting in range with full glass ele, put a meteorshower and then tornado and after that collect the lootbags. on my war. i run in, mash a few buttons, intterrupte everyone, pop my stability and mash random buttons while i collect lootbags. necro is challenging and fun. mes is veil veil veil veil.
we could have gotten a nice glam trait or even omg like an aoe trait, but we are getting an obvious leftover trait. it was not designed for mes as it is not useful for mes at all…. it was for ele aswell.
this trait(s) are terrible appart from the domination one, but the rest feels rushed and not well thought out and sorry this is very disconnected form what mesmer actually needs. i mean no person that knows mesmer and mesmer traits and abilities and playstyle, would have added or suggested such a gm trait. this shows how much the devs actually know about the mesmers!
mesmer cant heal, nor will it ever have a real role as a healer. we lack a role in wvw and thats the problem.
healing is eles job. water water water water
war can do everything
guard can do everything but less efficiant than war because he has to actually spec well for a role
ele can aoe everything cc and heal
necro is the boon corruption and some aoe dmg
mes is veil and nothing else
thief is ganker
so why on earth giving a mesmer a gm trait that is just taking up space and noone will use this terrible terrible non mesmer kitten ever!
its not a mesmer trait and has nothing to do with this class and is useless. id rather have it removed! seriously dont even bother giving it to us. id rather wait till u guys found an actual mesmer gm trait than a leftover from another class!
wont work. mesmer vs war, war zerg will always win as we have nothing at all to compete in a zerg. all a mes zerg can do is chain veil atm…. the new trait wont change much….

yeah the most useless trait ever. it doesnt even fit mesmer at all. we are not healers. its so useless, that im wondering if this was given to the wrong class. i mean we already got a few reeeeaaally useless traits, but this one tops everything by far!

yeah we already have distortion. and honestly u will need distortion when they are alive. the only thing that is good is the interrupt thing…everything else i dont see yet…. also if u compare it with other classes……i mean ele gets blind like we used to have blinding befuddlement, but ours has an icd, which they dont…etc….i dont think our gm traits are good appart from one. the other ones i have to test first but they dont make me viable in wvw raids yet….
oh well we get bug fixes and no buffs for wvw raids, so be prepared to fullfil your veilbot and portal duty as u will never be allowed to do more than stalth your team and tw them. thats what the mesmer does, veil veil veil, portal, veil, tw, veil veil. u cant deal dmg u cant reall raid. u are standing with the caster, but u dont doe caster like aoe dmg because anet gives us ai and not aoe like a normal light armor class should have.
we are squishy half thief/half rangers pretty much…. u wanna have fun in a raid, go ele, war, guard or necro. dont go mes.Well, we got a Gm trait that gives us 3s on ivulnerability for every kill, and with no CD. That is pretty a blast in zerg fights.
30 into dueling?im not really convinced with this one yet….. how bugged will it be? what builds will go with 30 in dueling? plus squishy….u gotta tag first in order to get the kill, so tagging is not that easy…. id rather see ip being removed and all shatters working without illusions without trait. now that would make a mes viable in zergfights
You can activate shatter skills with no illusions out, right?
I was pondering using the Chaos grandmaster trait in a couple of ways with a phantasm build.
– Pop F2 and maybe F3 before casting any phantasms
– Whenever you use F1, F2, or F3 to shatter – go ahead and use the other 2It still feels like PU is better, but it might be interesting.
Plus, regen when you pop distortion isn’t bad
You need illusions out to gain those effects, unless you’re traited for iPersona.
and i persona is a 30 into illusions trait.gg! imo shatters should work without illusions anyways if shatters are already f1-f4… seriously.
mes interrupts is ok but not really gonna help me as i only play wvw raids. i dont care about spvp, nor do i care about pve, i dont care about tpvp. i play wvw and no i dont care about roaming at all.
these changes, will make war even more godlike, ele perma blind us(weird as the mesmer trait blinding befuddlement was nerfed with a big icd and now ele can perma blind), and guards still strong. the only thing that will change is, that necro might get back into the meta.
rangers will still be unwanted, mesmers are still veilbots that can now interrupt if lucky( all other traits are absolutely useless in wvw raids as they all again require illusions or shatters to work and why healingpower?) i mean sry anet do u even play mesmer, like ever in kitten wvw raids? i mean seriously. u think we should all be greateful that we finally get our over 20 bugs fixed after all these months? and what will u break next?

Almost every update , we either get a bug fix / buff to a skill while making another skill totally bugged to the point of uselessness.
They SHOULD NOT be counting bug fixes as buffs.

i knew it. every other class will get great buffs and some awesome new build options and we get fixes and get to make use of the sigils….. we wont get an aoe fix, we wont get a buff, we wont get anything that helps us to creat a wvw raid viable build again. anet simply doesnt wanna give the mesmer anything at all for wvw since the nerfed glamour builds to the ground. EVERY other class can benefit from the kitten sigils and runs, EVERY other class has gotten bug fixes in the past, but these fixes should not prevent us from getting a buff and changes.
WE NED A WVW RAIS BUILD OPTION NOW! its not fair to get just bugfixes and nothing else. i wanna play wvw raids, i love wvw, not spvp, not tpvp, not roaming, i like wvwv RAIDS, so u anet makes it impossible for me to have fun in wvw because they refuse to fix wvw raid mesmers.

Mesmer are strong in 1vs1 / 2vs2. It depends on your build. Copy a good mesmers build and copy his playstyle and you’re good to go.
he is talking about raids not 1v1. when people refer to wvw, they usually mean raids unless they state roaming very clearly.
i feel the op though. being a mesmer in an organized group can be a pain. veil veil veil and veil again. u are not useful for anything else than veil. mes lacks aoe and has to spec for survival which is pu ye, but u dont kill anything really. u get lucky if u get to tag a few enemies.
there is no real raid builds out there as everything we can trait atm is illusions or shatters, shatter u gotta be glassy to deal ok dmg and u have very little survivability and anything u gotta rely on ai is automatically bad and non viable in wvw raids.
maybe the new gm traits will offer at least something

its probably single target again…..so it will be only good for spvp not wvw where we need the most help. lets hope they add new other stuff aswell
i got one from a towerlord and was lucky enough to get berserker. i think u can never really go wrong with berserker weapon if u are power based. id be between zerker or pvt for me
well mes is not very viable in wvw raids. our job is to veil and portal and maybe boonstrip, but in the current meta there really isnt much u can do. i tried every single build out there and the only one i stick to atm is a pu hybrid so i get to survive and deal a little dmg. my main dmg dealer is gs aa and berserker and then safe the blurred frenzy for survival.
try to not dive into zergs, stay with the casters if u are glassy. if u use shatter then go ganking backlines. but dealing lots of dmg to a a zerg is not possible for us until we get some aoe options.
shatters without ip will fail very often due to illusions dying to fast. in wvw u grab everything that is not ai heavy. so shtterworks because it doesnt require illusions, phantasm is tough atm as our phantasms get cced too often and die too fast, clne death is not viable as the guard,war, ele train cleanses condis too fast, glamour is not viable anymore due to being nerfed to the ground of the grounds, pu hybrid power builds sorta work, zergmower is not bad and u should give it a try, but again condis get cleared very easily.
I only proposed a 6-8 hour closure, not an 18 hour one. The fact is that coverage wars have destroyed servers and royally kittened the ranking table for 18 months and counting. This proposal is a compromise because the above is the main problem, I balk when regional players say WvW should be shut down or certain regions locked out, you can’t control where your friends are. Anyways, the “overnight” experience on most servers pales far in comparison to the typical daytime/evening experience of a regional player and this should be a step towards improving it, while also addressing many other serious issues.
erm so tier1 -tier3 in na will turn into one giant zerglag skillag fest with 80man blobs hitting eachother on a tiny little map and all because u dont want people to play during the time u sleep? oi!
thanks for the detailed explanation and all but this would destroy wvw for many many players out there. including me as i do play off hours.

yeah im glad some of the most annoying bugs are being adressed. its just pretty sad that mes used to shine once with glamours. the bb trait didnt need to happen like this, i mean thieves still spam blind and ours didnt last long. if glamour was back to normal dmg and unnerfed it wouldnt even be this strong anymore as now everyone brings condi cleanses with them.
eles trait for it, warrior shout diamond skin and all that… glamour was only op because people never watched their condis. now they do. so we need something strong again. something like glamours was.
or give us at least a few trait options that arent based on clones and illusions to be alive. i mean in a game im beta testing, i get an option everythime i upgrade a skill, so i can spec my pet i have for example to either deal more dmg or to explode and deal aoe dmg when killed. after that i can spec it into doing a short aoe stun, etc… or changing a single targeting skill to a multitarget skill, etc u know just sooooomething.
since glam was taken away from us like this, we got absolutely nothing back and with the glamour build went our viability in zvz.
im all for a rework…seriously gw1 mes would do 100 times better in zvz then what we got here…. a so called light armor class, that is a duelist 1v1 thiefwannabe class, with no aoe and pets….there is a mess up right there!
i dont mind the spvp mes, but then again, theif, easier to play and u dont even need to use this many buttons….

I don’t know. Glamors are handy for a lot of things, but it is not adding to damage.
for a lot of things? like what? the terrible confusion dmg? the darn veilbotduty or the great feedback which is so useful vs the current hammertrain meta because there is a ton of rangers in zergs that just spam those projectiles….wait!
I hit them with my hammer, they hit me back with their hammer, everyone is a heavy wailing away with a hammer. Every time I die it is six guys with hammers and maybe a meteor shower. It has been weeks since I got hit with a mind wrack or even a backstab. I see a blurred frenzy or hip shot on my log and I get all nostalgic.
I am playing a shout heals hammer warrior because you are either on the hammer train or under it.
yep same in tier 2. war, guard, glass ele meta…. u wont see much blurred frenzy as it only needs 1-2 mes for a zerg if u want veil. mes is not viable otherwise(no stability, no aoe), ranger is not viable, necro is being pushed out of meta too( war condi cleanse, ele condi cleanse, no stability, bad combat mobility), engi wouldnt be that bad, but then again what can an engi do better than a warrior?(nothing), there are thieves and they mainly gank and use blinds and pulls, but thats it.
u see where balance fails if u put 30 war vs 30 mes or 30 war vs 30 rangers, the outcome is pretty clear.
war is incredibly easy to play, all your cc is on low cd’s, cc has no dimishing returns, your victim cant even get up or use a block and then super tankiness combined with healing signet and power is just too much.
u wont see man mesmers unless mes gets some form of non ai aoe…shatters wont even hit a zerg if u arent traited with ip.
wvw used to be much better balanced when wvw and spvp balance was split. at least u saw every class represented.
even necros that have aoe skills are slowly dissappearing and i mean its not fun if u are forced to play a war,guard or ele in order to be viable in your favorite game mode. rangers arent even accepted in a lot of guilds….o.0

well i play wvw mainly and some spvp. i gotta say in raids, u will maybe enjoy the attention at first when on me…its always : is there a mes here that can help portal this, need mesmers for veil….etc, but i played mes for around 3.8k hours and it used to be fun before glam nerf. u could support and kill and be viable in a zerg. nowadays i find myself having way more fun on ele in a zerg as i can deal massive aoe dmg, cc and be the most important support in the team with water.
on my mes its really boring as all i do is veil veilveil and then kite around dealing a little dmg and then veil veil veil veil veil veil veil and tw and then portal this and portal that…it just gets boring.
if u like roaming them mes will be more fun, but mes lacks group abilities and aoe and non ai traits and multi target skills…
on ele however its fun to try different builds. u can go full support cleansing water or be a dare devil and go for pure glass 6-11k meteornado ele.
pve ele could get u better loot in raids, but mes is more fun in dungeons id say.
spvp, ele is high skill floor. u gotta know what u are doing, when to switch attunements and u will need lots of practice.
mes can be a little more forgiving, but it also requires the right build. u gotta figure out what u like:shatters, clone death, phantasm builds or pu based power builds….each one of them is different.
in tpvp mes and ele are both not in the best spot atm. ele, because it needs buffs and mes, because lack of group builds and lack of holding a point
ele. unless u like being a veil/portal/tw bot in wvw. in spvp id recommend mes though, but we will see what happens after the blance patch
The answer is, we don’t. My first 80 was an Elementalist. After that, I started a Thief which I got up to 74, a Necro which I got up to 22, and now I have a Warrior that is 80. Also have alts of every class.
Also, when I was in the Alpha before I started here, I mostly played Guardian and Ranger to lvl80. This was before they had implemented events in any of the lvl50+ maps. I had a friend that helped me grind up, and we would run around showing off that we hit 80 by grinding mobs.
I dunno why I shared that whole thing, but the point is that we definitely all play a variety of classes, just like you!
well im sure devs play a bunch of classes, but there is still a disconnect. everything that gets balanced is based on spvp. this creates huge balance issues in wvw and the gaps there are getting bigger and bigger. i mean cc spam is ridiculous in wvw, the zerg with the most war wins. eles meteorshowers hit for 6k-11k and wreck everything on walls and meanwhile rangers arent even allowed in an organized guild, mesmers are boring veilbots that have to rely on stealth to not get cced to death and heavy armor classes dominate the battle field.
i always hear, yeah war is a little strong and needs a tweak.in wvw war need nerfs not tweaks. u didnt tweak glamour builds u flat out destroyed the only non ai aoe build mes had and never gave us anything back. rangers had a little shine when bm was buffed, but now they disappeared after nerfs too.
so yeah there is a big disconnect i think and whenever a dev says mes is in a good spot, im thinking:….so u are happy with the fact that mes is a utilitybot or roamer and cannot ever be part of dmg dealer in a zerg? making a light armor class a 1v1 duelist only with barely any aoe skills, multitarget skills, that is only functioning with illusions? well illusions die in less than a second in a zerg, so without ip no shatters….
so if u guys dont change things around wvw will pretty soon only be open for 3,5 classes war/guard/ele and the 0.5 is thieves as they get to gank the backlines…
id recommend devs to go and play a ranger in a zerg,play a mesmer in wvw and see how often things get obstructed, how little dmg u do, how little loot u get, and how boring the veilbot duty is, play an engi in a zerg play it for a few hours, follow an organized guild around and u will see the issues much better.
imo every class should be viable in every game mode, there should be build options for dueling and raids.ai based classes should have more non ai heavy build options…etc
lol inverted, complaining about mesmers when thieves spam 3, nice joke kid. Get good As soon as I destroyed him he came here to cry, when he plays a thief and spams 3 none stop. You just want to make mesmer less viable than we already are, when thieves are ridiculously op, nice kittening joke.
this pretty much. its like they are looking for things to complain about. oh its pu, oh now ci is op. meanwhile in thievesland: oh now my backstab only crit for 8k! darn it should have been 11k like i get in wvw. oh man i couldnt permainterrupt this guy, he dodged, sigil of energy is way too op.
omg, i backstabbed this mes and then spammed 111,22,111 and he blinked away, this needs a nerf. he should just stand there and do nothing.

that anet has destroyed my class with nerfs and only war,guard, ele are allowed to have fun. gg balance team. fyi, veilbotting is not fun…..

honestly as much as i appreciate the work u put into this, i wouldnt like these changes at all. only 1 phantasm out would require massive boosts in phantasm cooldowns, which will lead to more qq.
what mesmer needs is less ai builds, options to trait for aoe instead, rework mantras(they dont work at all), less 1v1 more multi target skills, way more build diversity( since the glam nerf, we got nothing for wvw raids anymore, as a light armor class with little to no stability, we need to stay ranged in zergfights, but we got no multi target aoe like skills for ranged combat as phantasms will maybe hit once and if u are reeeeaaaallly lucky u get a shatter to work without ip trait, but thats it.
its all veil veilveilveil, tw,veil,portal this portal that, veil and thats it. we need non ai build options that work in raids like glamours did.
i dont mind giving up a ton of dueling stuff.
Sorry but spamming 1 on greatsword is not the ‘’true value’’ of a mesmer in raids. 1 shatter deals more damage than 20 seconds of spamming 1 greatsword and also removes boons from enemys + immobilizes & pulls.
Theres not much interesting to see with mesmer anyway these days. It’s in a really, really poor state. It’s that we have veil else we would be nearly useless in raids against big blobs.
yep true. the countless nerfs have put us down to the bottom of the foodchain in wvw raids.Ansau’s video shows the job i do in my guild. veil, tw, veil, tw,veil, bf,veil,bf and then try to stay alive for more veil and tw…..the only reason mes was good in wvw raids for some time, was due to glamour builds that allowed us to use a non ai heavy build. it was an aoe build that worked well vs large blobs, but since the nerf, mesmers havent gotten anything new they could use as an aoe instead.
sure shatters are not bad, but then again u would have to go pretty glassy if u want to deal good dmg which= rallybot if u are facing blobs that outnumber u in mid- high tiers. i am in na t2 atm and the blobs are pretty big, with tanky warriors, perma cc, glass staff eles, glass power necro, a few condi necros, tanky guardians and then the glass heavies that help ganking backlines with a ton of thieves that pull u all over the place.
now staff eles can go glass as they do have a really long range and a lot of aoe skills. mes has to dive into the zerg or sit on the backline using tw a berserker every 20 secand otherwise spam aa gs and maybe go blurred frenzy.
i think i run exactly the same build and weapon set as ansau and yeah i gotta say the veilbot duty is starting to get old.
we need non ai aoe builds again and also more build options for large raids.
i mean even in pve i go frming with my lowbie war and my necro as my mes simply doesnt get enough tags and also the cooldowns on phantasms get in the way as i often wast a berserker on an enemy that gets zerged down in seconds.
we need aoe as a light armor class and not more 1v1 single target stuff…and no mantras are not the answer! how about reworking those mantras and turn them into ground target aoe fields like chaosstorm. no clones required, no phantasms required, no ip trait required…i mean real,light armor class like aoe.
In my opinion stealth should be a luxionary, not something you can spam.
u cnt spam stealth on mesmer. they have to be carefully timed. go check the cooldowns.
If you can’t handle the enemy’s damage and get outplayed, you shouldn’t be able to cast 2/3 skills and have a free escape ticket. With both specs you have kittenness outplaying you so you can’t interrupt it.
cc a mes. we go no stability. we got stunbreakers, but again have to be off cooldown. and again a pu mes has no stability unless he uses a mantra…and mantras are terrible.
and with PU mesmers there’s a fair chance to get aegis so they can’t get stunned either. Not only that but mesmer’s gameplay is really dodgy, making it pretty useless to try to lock them down on 1 point cause they can easily blink away.
yes, we can, time your stuns right. again mes has no stability., but we do have stunbreakers
When using a stealth within 10 seconds from the previous stealth, your stealth will last 1 second shorter. This effect will stack the more times you use stealth within 10 seconds of your previous stealth, meaning if you use a ’’3rd’’ stealth within 10 seconds of the 2nd stealth while already having the debuff your stealth will last 2 seconds shorter.
aint gonna happen would render veil useless as it only lasts 3sec. plus u are coming again from the spvp hotjoin 1v1 perspective. if this goes through. wvw mes will be even more useless and we are already veilbots only.
all in all id rather see the mesmer clss changed all around. less ai, less dueling, more aoe ,more multitarget skills, and if all this is changed then u cn reduce the stealth. instead of nerfing everything, how about trying to actually fix all our bugs first, then give us more viable wvw raid builds and then u will see many of theses builds dissappear.

non ai aoe. thats all a i wish my mesmer had. illusions are bad in wvw raids. i want more ground target aoe. or an option to trait for a non ai heavy build. less dueling, more multitarget skills.

yep. for sure. mes in tpvp is pretty unwanted. im not even allowed to joing my guildies in tpvp when im on my mes…. also in wvw its hard to find mesmers. u will find 1 or 2 in a zerg that are ganking backline, but thats it. u can thank the boring veilbot/portalbot/twbot role the mes has in wvw raids along with the cc spam meta….

.25s will do very little.
The entire mechanic of mantras doesnt work in practice. You just cant manage it at 2+ mantras. It need be changed.
Personally I prefer the idea of automatic build up. And it doesnt hurt if the 3 mantra trait is dropped a tier.
Sort of like a signet, which builds charges after X seconds. For example, the healing mantra has 5s between each charge builds up. When you push the button, it will consume all the charges and start to stack again.
But I dont know. I just know that the channeling is annoying as kitten, its just not possible to enjoy yourself in battle while staring at your skill bar all the time trying to work out when to charge what. With the short cooldowns mantras has, you have to cycle them 90% of the time. Hell in 1 minute, you’re spending like 30-45 seconds just channeling. Is that supposed to be fun? And then you had some downtime as well.
erm i was being sarcastic. i agree with u that the way mantras are designed is really bad. im having a hard time to make them work in a battle….they need to makem automatically recharge or simply change the entire utility plus traits. who wants to spend 90% of a fight kiting so u can channel your attacks? no other class has to go through something like this. and also we have a crazy cc meta. u dont have time to rechannel…thieves will perma interrupt that channel…
