Hmmmmm I think they could have some really nice options when it comes down to customization. Think like mount armor, (saddlepacks, armor protection) also more than one dye channel would be a nice option. special mounts in the gemstore.

Charr buggy (they have warmachines that look like cars so why not.) Sand digger? goes onderground for a period of time or racing mode = even more speed
Norn mount for asura. (norn can carry an asura) Specialty: Throw asura.

Dear Anet, Sinds I started playing the game in 2012, I’ve come to love the game as it is and the story I find to be really good. At the moment I am a casual player and dont have much time compared to a few years ago. I was wondering what the other players in the community thought of the following idea(s);

At the moment Aura’s are becoming a thing (which is common in an MMO).
I mean we’ve got some infusions like the winters-heart , ghostly ones from gorseval etc.

Most of these infusions are locked behind either a large sum of gold or hardcore content, (I do raid, but this post is mainly meant for people with no time to do so).

Wouldn’t it be a nice idea to make some standard aura infusions? they should of course not be epic like the legendary one’s or the one’s from raids and such but maybe something which gives a faint glow.

I think it would give casual players also something to strive towards.
Now I have said what I wanted to. Lets hear it! thoughts?

Heres a simple solution for you OP, and its sooo simple, and costs you nothing at all, than just only 5 minutes of your time, that it is most “probably” kept so top secret, that people have to keep asking for things like this here ….

1: Delete your useless Character
2: Create a new Character with the Race that you want
3: Use Tomes to get instantly back to Max Level
4: Use Proofs to get instantly back your Elite Specialization, if required for your Build
5: Play that new character until you have regeared yourself, which comes as payment for not making stupid decisions at Character Creation and making up rather your final decisions if you like with what you play EARLY.

There you have your Race change.. That was really rocket science, or not? Easy solution, or?
At least a much quicker solution, than to ask for four years to get presentated by Anet a lazy gemstore solution on the silver platter that would cost them tons of ressources and is mostly technically impossible to do, only bcause there are some people which were to incompetent to make up at character creation for 5 minutes some thoughts about it, if they even like what they have created there…. instead of playing what they created there for up to four years and then ask for race changes when they suddenly don’t like their characters anymore the way how they have them created…

using a three year old bossfight (which I agree was really bad design and could be inproved) to a newer bossfight which (imo) was pretty decent with the events and stuff. yeah sure it has buggs, which can be solved. Anet learns from their past mistakes and will only improve onwards.

petrified wood, bloody ruby’s (its like they are mats anyway), shimmering and tenebre crystals!

the broom as a glider is a neat idea (harry potter style anyone?)
A jetpack would be fun , or a mini dragon that can also function as a glider
racial gliders would be cool but mainly if you could involve a small racial quest in order to get it. (in game gliders simply need to happen)

Hi all! I’ll get straight to the point.

My guild raid group raids at a time in which I am unable to join (work & Stuff)
Because of this I’m searching a group to raid with. I’ve only beaten the VG and I’d like to defeat te rest to of course.

If anyone know’s a nice raid group (that if needed also teaches the raid) that would be great!

I have a question regarding fractal of the mists.

We need more different types of fractals based on events in GW1 and Lore.
For example the rising of Orr has been heard of or the fall of abaddon?

Are there any plans to add new fractals this year regarding the old lore or new lore(could be short story’s about the races for example; death of Jora or Play as Destiny’s Edge and face a the destroyer harpy in the colosseum from the books )

Computer hardware definitely can influence disconnections. I speak from experience. I was a beta tester for StarCraft (the original) and I experienced frequent — i.e., every few minutes — disconnections. After replacing a couple of obvious components, the issue of overheating continued. I partially resolved it by opening the box and blowing a fan at the machine. Interestingly, though, the culprit was not my mother board or my video card — it was a near-death’s-door power supply. Once I replaced that, things settled and I was back in business.

And while I was not experiencing a lot of disconnections in relation to GW2, I will say that I had a few, and was noting increased slowdown in GW2 during boss fights. After investigation we learned my machine — while above min spec — was pretty obviously lacking in the RAM department. Pulled the RAM, added improved components, and things are going along swimmingly now.

How much RAM do you have? I Have 32GB so kind of wondering :P

Hi all.
First of all I wanted to say I like the recent changes to the shatterer bossfight but it brings with it some worry’s.

1. achievements.
Are these going to stay ingame or are these also going to dissapear like the ones from boss week (tequatle for example I had 9/10 and then it ended and now I cant seem to get these wing anymore? lame.)

2. Do Damage, get DC, get back in = No reward.
This is just plain stupid. I cant help the fact that i have a beast of a machine but the game still disconnects me for some stupid reason. then i relog in quickly in order to still get my rewards and finish the fight. guess what? no rewards.

3. Dive Master achievement.
seriously 40? I mean 5 or 10 sure but this is probably the most annoying achievement of em all. (thanks to the amount of players, lag is created which in turn makes this nearly impossible)

Please don’t see this as a complaint.
I just feel that in some scenarios the game treats the player unfair.
I think that there should be a solution for this.

love this character. I want him on my team in the living story :P

the power of an mmorpg means you play with others to achieve certain goals. solo play is also a great challenge and i’ll admit in the jungle its way harder than in regular tyria.
But I saw it as a challenge and tried it and only at certain points I asked my friends to help out!

thats exactly how I feel about SW… aren’t there ways to get Ascended armor boxes in fractals or something?

So I decided I want ascended armor…
I have like whut 100+gold..

how do I get ascended armor the fastest?

(crafting is @400 For leatherworker only). But imagine i need it for a heavy or light class.

the mentor tag is an easy to get commander tag. which in my opinion should be removed or only useable in lower level areas.

running exotic clerics atm waiting for the new meta coming with raids

I think that staff is great.. for healing. not for damage all the skills barely do damage and only have healing effects I’d like to see them add more damage effects on them or atleast conditions?

its hard to make a decent build atm iguess ill run my recently acquired clerics gear for now to assist my friends but i hope a decent build and affordable stat set comes up in the near future

Hi all I have a short question here where I hope you can help me with?

I’ve been playing a ranger sinds launch and now I’ve upgraded him to druid.
I dont have any exotic gear yet so I was wondering what stats would be best to still deal damage but also heal others a lot? I Though of going Clerics or even Celestial stats but I’m not sure what to pick. Any advice?

In my opinion I think they found another way to make money!!! Give us more types of wings please haha I’d like it

Challenging? you mean gaining the unlocks as time based? don’t see how thats challenging.

If you’d actually had to complete really challenging boss encounters or something sure, but I don’t see it as a challenge atm. but of course thats my personal opinion

story step 5, in there footsteps. glided towards Scout Acan. need to talk to him but nothing happens. he does have the star about his head but thats it.

We have some reports that Acan only is broken on some megaserver instances.

any progress on this particular problem?

yes agreed. we need more emote’s it makes the immersion in the game a lot better + from a gameplay standpoint a talk command can be used by npc’s which makes em look way more alive instead of static.

also emote’s like: /Death and such would be great for the RP Community…
how about we make a list with al sorts of emote’s here on the forums 1 list which maybe with enough comments can get anets attention? I believe a lot of people would like this!

I don’t mind raids being hard content. but i do not like the fact that they are saying you need full ascended gear for the final boss.. even if its only recommended.
They said back then that you could do it with exotic armor and that ascended armor would remain needed for fractals…. o well i’ll have to start leveling my medium armor crafting then.

I think it aint a bad idea. these huge maps would be great to have a small mount with like a 5% speed boost or something.
but not a mount you own but one you can hire or something in maps with little wp’s it would be cool!

It seems we are getting a new personal story with the expansion.
And hearing they arent working on a remake for season 1 of the LS leaves me a bit dissapointed…
Sure it had its quirks but in general certain parts were really entertaining and lets be honest they need to add it even if its only for getting the full story ingame for new players.

what are your thoughts on this?

we’ll just see when its released although I do wonder how they are going to explain it story-wise if even :/

In my opinion I think the revenant’s story should start with a tutorial inside of the mists.
you gain the first legend (jalis for example) and continue down the path when you face a big demon like creature (malyxx?) then you awake in the city of race choice

when can we expect more info on class Specializations?

on the ground it should use its wings to slam players off the platform or maybe use a tail swipe. hmm what else… bites?

I’d wish even more camera functions! slide shots and stuff even airborne shots!

hopefully its more content the next patch cause 30 minutes/ 1 hour of content aint cutting it. Only if you havent played the whole LS up till now then you’d have an expansion worth of content the way this is going is bad.

Hi there I was wondering how it is possible that when I played through the living story up to this point I gained the carapace shoulders, gloves and leggings. thing is I played it through with my second character a different armor class and I only got the shoulders and leggings this time? why is that , the thing I did like is that we are able to get a black lion key as a reward through the LS chapter. I wish they did this more often!

I played Guild Wars for 5 years. what drew me into gw2 is mainly the fact known as the lore.

I love the lore ingame , now I’ve got a great guild , allies to join me on my journey in Tyria.
and the look and feel of the game are amazing.

now i just want the end-boss of the personal story to be re-made

one thing that is certainly needed:

Tone DOWN the particle effects! :P at the moment fighting in groups of more than 5 is a horrible mess. a low glow is perfectly fine instead of giant effects making you’re screen flash every 3 seconds

well I have an idea for guild halls and player housing.
imagine this:

player housing can be done from the beginning of the game. you get an empty (small map) which you can build on , a House with for example multiple levels, then when you join a guild you’re " Land" gets placed on the " Guild Plains" this way a whole city will be build around the guild hall, and it can all be instanced so that the open world does not need to suffer from loading issues

just my thoughts on the housing and guild hall system
of course I would like to see more features in guild halls.

for example :

A throne hall , or a hall with a round table which all members can sit at (25max)
then a pub-like area , a training area where you can spar – one on one or three or three
(imagine a simple room with one of the capture circles in it except you cannot leave the capture circle invisible wall)

well a pub is simple enough. a bar , chairs and tables and ale kegs!

Guild Hall : Guild Missions:
Guild Hall Defense / Guild vs Guild,
Enemy Guilds must first go through the town in order to reach the hall , Traps can be placed WvsW style and more like this.

just my thoughts need to sort e’m out though

well in my case (something i’d like to see)
