How hard is it to add “Mag bl” “TC bl” “EBG” “BGBL” or whatever to the end of a scout call in team chat.

I’ve spent less than 7 hours in the new WvW and I have 20 hero points worth of drops. You get them from much more than level ups. You get them from dailies and captures too. It’s not as bad as people say.

If you were looking to get 200 HP from WvW, I estimate it would take less than 2 months, probably 6 weeks at most if you were really playing a lot.

The issue I have is taht they even claimed you could “unlock” an elite spec at 60 points. That’s complete BS. The spec isn’t even worth taking until you get at least 3 minor and 3 major traits to match the rest of the trait lines. Instead of unlocking in order from top to bottom, they should be unlocking left to right. 100 points should get you a “completed” trait line (with 6 more traits to unlock for more options) rather than 60 points for a worthless trait line and another 100+ points to get to the third tier of major traits.

I got a majority of my elite spec done in a few hours of WvW, and I know some players that had 3 or more characters done in the few days since HoT release. Getting Hero Points out of WvW was super fast and easy, but all you had to do was karma train EotM or EB and gain rank points. Glad I’m only grinding out 1 elite spec, because I can’t imagine k training again that long, or grinding PvE hardcore.

Most fun I’ve had in 6+ months of WvWing. It really isn’t that hard to play it, I farmed almost 1k kills pretty quick on it, and it’s something new.

This skill is so fun in WvW. But since it messes up people’s PvE experience, it’s going to get nerfed to hell, and unusable. RIP the UA dream.

Thank you for the video, I’ve been up in the air about Human or Charr for my Revenant, and I think I’ll go Charr, since their animations aren’t bad at all.

First of all, I just wanna start with I don’t normally post here, but I just wanted to say thank you to ArenaNet, and whoever designed the Revenant (Roy I believe?). I’ve played the Revenant for about 4 hours now, all in WvW, and I’ve had the most fun that I’ve had in the last 5+ months I’ve played GW2. The mechanics behind the Revenant seemed clunky at first, and I thought that all my hype was for nothing, but after playing it a bit more, I’ve gotten the hang of it, and have come to the decision that I will shed many tears once this weekend is over. I know a lot of people that I have talked to say that they don’t like it, but it’s for sure the thing that will bring my love back into GW2 and WvW (WvW is all that I do). After 6.4k hours in GW2 95% of which are leading a Guild in WvW or GvG, 3.1k of which are on one character, I am really looking forward to playing the Revenant more.

P.S. It would be really cool if you let me play my Revenant after this weekend, even if I can’t keep all the loot. ;D

Sounds like GW1 Guild Halls, the only problem is what kind of incentive do Guilds have to WvW, if they add this?

I would still go out and WvW. GvGs are a thing I did/do only a fraction of my time, because while it is fun, and high intensity, I, and my Guild, also enjoy busting blobs in WvW. There are Guilds in T2 NA that are GvG primary Guilds that may never step into WvW again, but I can’t speak for them. Those are the Guilds that also don’t really raid in WvW (just a guess) that much, except to open field fight other Guilds, so there really is minimal impact on WvW, other than the WvW only Guilds can get their forces onto a map easier.

I didn’t do anything other than play the Revenant, and I guess I have the armor unlocked. Not gonna transmute it because I don’t want ANet rolling me back. zzz

No copyrighted music that doesn’t belong to ArenaNet. Doesn’t matter how you acquired/streamed it.

GvG is where the real competition is in terms of WvW. True, even fights, with kittens on the line. It’s sad that a game called “Guild Wars” has 0 support for this game mode. I never used to be big on GvGs, then once me and my Guild started trying them out, and getting better at them, they were what we looked forward to, not going around ppting till we can’t ppt no more. As people have said before, WvW is dying, and it sucks. It’s nothing like it used to be so long ago. No matter what ANet does, it’s way to late. RIP.

Introduction

EK, aka Empyrean Knights is a WvW based Guild. We are an NA/EU based Guild. We started off as a small Guild with members from Last Words [LW] that formed EK looking for a better WvW experience. We don’t focus on PPT when it comes to WvW, we look for the best fights, and we only have one mode: balls deep.

Where are we based?

We are now based on the North American server Sea of Sorrows. We recently transferred there in order to rebuild our Guild to our former glory.

Our players

We have a few members that have been with eachother for over a year, and we have new members who have been with us for several months. We are looking for members that want to join a community, and are drama free. We have people as young as 16 and 17 to as old as 30+.

What will be expected of you?

You will be expected to raid with the Guild during primetime if you are online. This usually runs from 5-10 pm server (PST)
You will be expected to run the Guild builds. However, if you feel you have a better build, you are allowed to bring it up to your team leader.
You will be on TS3 for all raids, no exceptions. We require it in order to coordinate during fights. You are expected to have a mic, and to use it. Communication is key!
Respect. You are to respect not only me, but every other member in the Guild. Everyone is equal in status. Team leaders, Officers and myself are the only ones with any authority.
You will be expected to wear Guild colors during raids. Dark blue and White.

Great fights last night on BGBL from both SoR and JQ. [EK] didn’t quite have enough on to fight [Hel] alone, but we managed to hold our own against [Choo]. Fun fight east of our spawn that ended in a draw. :P.

[SF], great fight outside SW camp/S Bay! That was like 7 minutes long wasn’t it?!? Couple of my Guardians used their tomes 4/5 times, couple warriors used a couple warbanners. Great fights all night, keep up the good work!

[EK] had a fun night last night on JQBL. We had about 14, and fighting alongside HB, EE, and PLX was a lot of fun! Great fights from Hel and HzH all night. As Smokee said, the best fight was the 3 way between Bay and Gari. Had a blast all night. Keep up the good fights!

Awesome….another absurd matchup. Thanks Anet, you are doing a fantastic job of making players abhor wvw. New players spend 15 mins in these matches, quit, and never come back. Why don’t you just shut it down altogether, and save us the repair/upgrade bill.

It’s attitudes like that that are no fun at all. Even though we got matched with TC and FA (FA 3 or 4 times in a row) my Guild kept going out there, and having a blast. We love outnumbered. Just rally up what you can, and bring them out. In matches like this, don’t worry about ppt, just play for fights. Believe me, we aren’t enjoying this matchup any more than you. [EK] loves fights, but we haven’t had really any. Don’t give up little one. <3

Well, Mend stood firm with only 18 people against you when you hit us at the outer north gate of hills and won, then a million pugs showed up so it wasn’t nearly as fair. However that first fight was indicative of what happens when its just one guild vs one guild with no pugs around. Obviously your server recognizes free loot by following you around, so its really rare to run into you without 20+ pugs following, when we do though, its a nail biter.

Yeah, today is the first time we’ve wiped all week. And all this PvDoor has demoralized [EK], so I’m down to 18. We’re currently at NE tower in CDBL if you wanna come at us again

I kinda feel sorry for HoD and DH, but then again, I don’t, only because we just got out of something like this, except we were matched with TC and FA (FA like 3 or 4 weeks in a row). The best thing you can do is organize what forces you can, and come out swinging. [EK] will be out there looking for those big zergs that we can practice on, so expect to see us on EB. Ty for the fun fights today TC and FA on EBG. I was leading my Guild and friends, and we wound up with about 40ish peak players (I don’t count those not on TS3, they’re rallybots) to counter the massive FA and TC zergs. We managed to fight both of you back (not very easily though!) and finally we just got overwhelmed. @TC Nice defense of your Gari also! We were SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO close to getting it. xD. Just took to long I guess. </3

I don’t really care how much we will get rolled this week, during NA prime (when I’m not working >_<), [EK], myself, and if I decide to tag up, our friends will come out swinging hard every fight. Everyone else may just give up, but we will fight our hardest, and I think we showed that we don’t go down without a fight last night on EB. What I thought would turn into us losing our Keep in the first 30 min turned into us dominating any zergs up till about 3 or 4 hours in. We may have been one big blob, however, how often do you see this from CD? Sorry if you were expecting PvDoor last night on all maps. We made a blob to counter yours.
