Some things excite me (new skins, new TP, crafting UI), others make me afraid (class specific drops)
Thieves can stealth out of combat and withdraw whenever they want. Annoys the crap out of me when I’m playing a Guardian.
What does League of Legends have to do with GW2? The devs already said that they aren’t working on it.
Guild Wars 1 can’t jump
Guild Wars 2 can’t fly
I wait for Guild Wars 3
He’s just trolling guys. Leave him alone.
this spiritweapons or all items you posted are no problem
they are easy crafted and only problem material for this and ever was are SKILLPOINTZ
Skill points are a problem? I had almost 550 on my main a few days ago, and then I bought a bloodstone shard.
yes they are – atleast for people who know how to make gold with skillpoints
So the problem isn’t the skillpoints, it’s just that you spend it too quickly?
It actually isnt a problem. Those that know how to spend their skillpoints efficiently, just spend 200 SP and buy a weapon from the 500g profit they make off it.
2.5 gold per skillpoint? Dang, time I learned how to do that.
I grabbed Trilogy, but didn’t buy Eye of the North. If I want to get it later, does anyone know of other stores that sell it? All I can find is $50 on Amazon or $3 for one with a used code.
People use Strength in Numbers? Personally I don’t, but I follow a meta build.

Well, I led my first zerg tonight. We took a bunch of towers, defeated another zerg, and I managed not to do something terribly wrong. If I get a little better I might start playing WvW more frequently.
There are no stupid questions…..
Except the ones that are. Luckily this one was actually a pretty smart question. Personally, I throw greens into the MF on occasion (like when I have 10 loot boxes after Teq) in the hopes they upgrade to rares for ectoplasm.
In GW1, characters had the option to save different loadouts to quickly adapt to different places in the game without the hassle of picking out each individual class feature and stat combination.
Wouldn’t that make alts redundant then?. Since why would I need an alt to do the very thing they were created for. When I can do everything on my main.
Because templates don’t let you swap classes afaik. Do you have 2 different Guardians/Warriors/Elementalists/etc.
Ascended was a mistake for Anet and now OP wants it to be par with Legendary?
Exotics were on par with Legendary.
Throw a completed Ascended weapon with an inscription with different stats into the mf, and you unlock the ability to change to those stats. Seems like a fair compromise to me.
I need 1200 silk scraps for my next piece of ascended armor. It’d be nice to order it one time vs four orders of 250 and one order of 200.
So today I caved and bought a commander tag. I run Tequatl regularly, and do some WvW on the side. I’ve given a few orders before, but never been the one “in charge” of things before. Do any experienced commanders have any advice for me? Thanks!
I vote axes for EVERYONE!
you’re basically advocating for what happened to Teq to happen a second time elsewhere.
I love the new Tequatl encounter
Tequatl is the only real dragon at the moment.
As detrimental as it would be to the playerbase, I wish every dragon was that hard without prior planning.
That’s selfish though. not everyone has 45 minutes to devote to extensive boss planning “for glory” or “valiance” or some other knight kitten.
Casuals have all the other world bosses (‘cept for Wurm) so I don’t think it’s unfair to ask for one or two more Tequatl like encounters. Claw of Jormag and The Shatterer in particular would be awesome.
@Omar Aschi Popp.7496 Did you equip the items? Once they are equipped they become account bound and you can’t purchase more.

Demand will certainly go up. No doubt about that.
So wait.. you want Ascended weapons, which already have the same LEVEL of stats as legendary to be able to swap stats around just like a legendary?
Essentially you want a Weapon with Legendary stats and capabilities for like one tenth the cost…
ummm no…. that’s a horrible idea…
Legendaries were just a skin at launch, they should be just a skin now.
The Lord sounds like a Guardian with more spirit weapons. My Guardian would like to dual wield Shields, and my Warrior wants pistols. Longbow/Shortbow would be cool on my Elementalist, and so would Greatswords.
That’s like building a sportscar, but it is aimed to sell to grandma’s and grandpa’s that don’t drive harder than 100km/h.
No, that’s like building an economy car for city commuting, and some people protesting that this car doesn’t allow them to drive at 200km/h. It doesn’t , because it isn’t a sports car.
MMO’s are the sport cars of gaming. While GW2 doesn’t have to offer a gear treadmill, it should offer challenging content. While I did get really frustrated trying to fight Liadri the first 30+ times, I enjoyed it later.

Personally, I love Sword+Focus/Greatsword for dungeons. Hammer is pretty nice when pugging since it gives permanent protection, but if you do a guild run I suggest Greatsword/Sword+Focus.
Plot twist: he used a glitch/exploit to get that, now you’re the one getting banned.
I can so see that happening. Some troll making 30 million eternities and sending them out to everyone in LA and the entire playerbase being banned.
Weapons aren’t too hard to get, and offer 5% DPS just from the straight weapon strength bonus. I suggest at least getting that. Armor is mostly for completionists.
Or you know… sell them to an NPC for almost 5 silver?
You realize that’s a shamefully small amount of money for top tier gear, right?
Yeah, I calculated that I still need 1500 Bloodstone Dust to finish off Mawdrey. Ever since reaching 450, I’ve been slowly refining Bloodstone Dust into Bricks (along with various other T7 mats) in a slow climb to 475. (I’ll need a LOT of T7 mats to fully outfit my 5 characters with Ascended gear, so none of this is being wasted.)
Now I have to remind myself to keep aside some of my Bloodstone Dust stockpile for Mawdrey and not just burn through it every day.
1 Bloodstone Brick
1 Bloodstone Dust
1 Fine Essence of Luck
1 Mystic CoinForges into 100 Bloodstone Dust.
Ascended Mats are demotable.
Oh good, I had 17 bricks of bloodstone dust. Guess I don’t need to EotM farm then
Man I sure I am glad I bought the mini karka some time ago, who knows how many will be left now with people account binding them…
I’m probably one of them, hate the idea of wasting 1.7k gold but my collection :’(
Now Anet please bring back Foostivoo!!!
Somehow i fear that the Trading 2.0 blog post tomorrow might make items that are unobtainable right now (minis, recipes, skins etc.) available through npcs for a combination of gold/account bound currencies.
Laurels + Gold fixes everything. Time gate and gold sink.
I hope they include the timegated ascended materials. I’ve been hoarding them for awhile
How about not and you just delete them, same effect, right?
Actually, 2 days ago, the unthinkable happened to me, i ran out of bloodstone dust, while crafting mawdrey, while i still have 20-30 fragments and shards refined. I had to go EotM and farm that stuff, i guess I shouldnt have crafted those toxic nourishment every once in a while.
I deleted all my bloodstone dust, and then decided to start working on Mawdrey.
I’ll just save the moderators some trouble and not post what I’m thinking about you right now.
They’ll go down again. I bought Mini Seraph Mage at 40 silver yesterday afternoon, sold it at 3 gold, and now it’s 1 gold. I’m guessing Mini Seraph Mage will be back down to 40 silver a few days after the feature pack, just like with what happened to dyes.
Any particular reason why they should go down after the feature patch?
The price spike right now was just fueled by speculation, no minis have been destroyed yet (unless people forged them), so today there are more or less as much minis in game as yesterday. After the feature patch consumption by binding them to players wardrobes will set in, so why would the price go down? For the same reason dye prices went down. Any repeat minis will be sold off, traded, or given away. By then everyone will have the minis they want, and the demand will go back to what it was.
Cept, there’s ALOT of people who never bothered to collect mini’s or keep them (after the AP.)
THAT will change.
people now going for the new AP, will be forced to collect them. People who are now happy mini’s are actually easy to use, will start collecting them. There is the fac that people with doubles are more likely to sell them now, but how many would that be compared to people who are going to start collecting?
People will collect the minis they want, very few will collect all of the minis. A mini I sold yesterday for three gold is down to 99 silver, and buy orders are at 40 silver, the original price. Over time demand will be met, and it will be back to the old price.
Exactly what I was thinking. Minis that were always popular will continue to command high prices (in some cases, higher prices than they might have before). The less popular ones (e.g., the generic humanoid minis) won’t suddenly become more desireable for anyone but the hardcore mini collectors and AP completionists. If the average player didn’t want to be seen walking around with a little Seraph archer or Svanir warrior before now, the patch won’t change that.
I’m sticking with my Liadri mini. Looks cool, and I feel like showing it off despite the fact everyone has one.
I hated how the food bug allowed everyone to pretty much get Liadri for free. It ruined an exclusive, skill-based mini that you could showcase. But now it’s common to carry.
It was my go-to mini to use because it was so rare to see. I guess I now have to bring my Mr. Sparkles out.
I didn’t use the food bug, so I feel accomplished, but I wish ANet had fixed that bug. I may just use my Mini Twisted Nightmare since that’s the next best thing I own.
What if you threw 13 mini Jennahs, 13 globs of dark matter, 13 bloodstone shards, and 13 mystic coins into the mystic forge? Would it create Mega Jennah? It would act like a mini, in that it did nothing but follow you around, but would be life sized?
I am so going to try this!!!!!
Unfortunately it doesn’t make Mega Jennah, just a hero that looks like Jennah.
Useless feature
Except for those of us that will use it.
I doubt anyone is reading anymore at this point, but i feel op would not have an issue if they admitted 100 silk bolts, 300 silk scraps for just one ascended piece is too much.
That’s all it’s about isn’kitten
How would them admitting it fix anything? The real problem is other people will be getting better loot based on the class they’re playing.
Hi John!
1) Can I just say it’s awesome that you take the time to give these answers to the community?
2) What has been your biggest headache working with this economy?
3) Do you enjoy working on the mysterious “Trading 2.0”?
4) Is it more common for a player to sell a “Fine” or “Masterwork” piece of gear, or to sell it?

Favorite: Ascalonian Catacombs
Pugging Kohler (no stacking) at level 35 taught me how to dodge roll. It will always hold a spot in my heart.
Least Favorite: Caudecus’s Manor
Compared to zombies, ghosts, killer plants and mole people, bandits just seem boring. I’m not a fan of the small hallways either.

I only found it confusing when I went into the downed state without even realizing I was in combat. I wasn’t very attentive when I first got the game.
“New achievements will also now be available for completing Wardrobe account unlocks for the series 1, 2, and 3 minis.”
When you already have all the AP for those mini sets, will you unlock them retroactively? Because I’m sure not I’m alone when I say that I have sold all my mini’s after I unlocked the achievements related to them.
Yeah, it is total bullkitten.
Why? He sold the minis, so he doesn’t get the minis now. Makes sense to me.
I’ll laugh if everyone buying them are just speculators and the prices crash.
Call me in a month.
It’ll be just like dyes. Mark my words.
I’m sure ANet has considered this very thoroughly
Just like they thought through silk and elder wood?
They did think silk through. And now, look at the price of those minis fly.[/quote]
Silk wasn’t an accident? Well that makes it all look worse.

They will remove the Trading Post and start everyone off with 1,000,000,000% magic find on their account.
I’m putting a gold or two into Mini’s, because I can see them going up in price the next few days.
