The only kind of “ticket” you can submit in-game is a bug report. If you want help on an issue with your account, you’d need to submit a ticket through the website.

Your “evidence” doesn’t show the snowflake, so it’s no evidence, but I guess that was the intend.

The video does, indeed, show the snowflake. When it first appears, it stays up until another player (not the one who made the video) jumps ONTO the snowflake. The player who made the video never causes it to melt, according to the video itself. after the first snowflake disappears and another one forms, you see the same thing happen again. So, unless they took the time to sneakily edit their footage, it looks like they’re correct.
City maps will always give a transmutation charge. All other maps (I’m pretty sure) have a chance to give a black lion key instead of a transmutation charge, but you have a better chance of getting a transmutation charge. RNG is RNG.
Yeah, unless your friend changed servers to an NA server, he’s still on an EU server. Megaservers didn’t allow EU and NA players to play together; it just let multiple servers (on the same region) play together on the same maps for pve and HOTM.
Just to be sure, though, what server is your friend on? That’ll quickly determine if he’s NA or EU.
I’ll second what was asked above: Are you both on the same region (EU or NA)? What kind of instance are you trying to join up for?

Yeah, I just tried it again, and it somehow works now. Weird. I wonder what the difference between today and two/three days ago is.
I’ve had the same problem. My main character had already finished the story when the brazier was added. When I went back to that instance (after the brazier was added) to try to get the final boss achievements, I couldn’t interact with the brazier. I even replayed through the entire chapter to see if that triggered it, but nope. So, I’m missing something too, apparently.
Now I know that my hands, while small, are larger than hers. Could someone perhaps give me a break down of what keys she is pressing to do what, and what role the mouse has? I might be able to replicate it if I know exactly what I am supposed to press when.
She is using the W key to move forward and space bar for jumping, and she is using the mouse to control the direction and camera angle. Holding down the right mouse button while slightly moving the mouse will (with default settings) change the angle the camera is facing, and (if used while running) will also change the direction in which you are running.
That’s how I do jumping puzzles (especially this one), as well. Basically, my right mouse button is just being held down the entire time, with me moving the mouse to the direction I need to go. And I’m either holding down or carefully tapping the W key to move forward as needed. It works well for me (a lot better than slowly turning using the other direction keys), even with my own small hands.

During the very first GW2 Wintersday, you crafted the toy minis in the mystic forge, using items that have been discontinued after that first Wintersday. Now, you can choose one of the minis as a reward from the Extravagant Wintersday Gift (as linked above by Inculpatus). So, no RNG needed; just do 5 days of Wintersday dailies.
I’ve always been a big fan of the Bell Choir activity. I’ve never seen the point of the “play anything” round. And it’s particularly annoying to load into a map that’s about to start the “play anything” round because you won’t get any kind of credit for participating in just that part.

I hope you can pick something other than one of those weapons. I believe last year or the year before, you could either pick a toy mini pet or a large gift.
Even though I think the weapons look pretty decent, I’ll never equip them on a character, except during festive occasions. Unfortunately, even at those times they’ll be pointless: there’s not a single Wintersday activity that shows weapons.
You’re given a choice of one of the new wrapped weapons, one of the toy minis (ventari, princess doll, toy golem, charr soldier, and griffon), or a box of personalized gifts.
I forgot, there is also food that gives a karma boost. I’m not in game so I can’t list the exact consumables but the wiki should have the info.
Pretty much all of the ice cream foods give a karma boost, I believe.
Not certain if we are talking about the same. It’s been awhile. If I recall the powder that allows the change is also dependent on what type of booster you are converting The ones that have to do with fighting fall in one category and the surplus booster which fall into magic/karma/craft? ect fall into a different category.
You’re thinking of the right thing. There are the Enchanted Combat Boost items and Enchanted Reward Items. However, neither one gives you the Karma Boost option. Currently, the only way to get Karma Boosts are from achievement chests and as a leveling reward (once).
Unfortunately, you can’t buy the episodes for another account. Since it counts as an account upgrade item (like bank tabs, character slots, bag slots, etc.), you can only buy those things on your own account. You also cannot send gems to her directly. You can either send her the gold to buy the gems herself, or you can buy her a gem card.
Well, is there anywhere in-game where targeting is disabled? I can’t think of any such place. It might not be that simple to just have it not work for a handful of instances (especially when the instances are part of the overall pvp system). I do agree that it’s annoying when the targeting trolls decide to constantly pop a target on you (or anyone).
I really don’t care that there’s no title for crafting a legendary. I made my legendary weapons because I wanted the skins and the stat changing. And, while I crafted mine myself, I really could not care less if other players opted to convert gems into gold and just bought theirs.
Well, the Explorer stuff isn’t connected to Been There, Done That. Explorer is just unlocking every region of each map listed in each achievement. Been There, Done That is 100% map completion (finding all pois, hearts, vistas, hero points, and waypoints) for all of the original GW2 zones.
If your in-game tracker for Been There, Done That says you’re at 99/100, you might just still be missing something.
I think this is a great way to remember her and others people have lost. My condolences to your guild, as well as her other friends and family.
Hm. Are you completely sure you have the correct item in your inventory? If so, check to see if it’s in an invisible bag/box; I don’t know WHY that would affect it, but it might.
I tried helping my husband get this achievement last night, and it never triggered for him. I counted 20 kicks (on a chicken that gave a feather on the first kick), and he still never got it. When I did it (the day after release), it triggered as soon as I did 10 kicks, rapidly. So, I think it is kind of buggy right now.
What Donari said. The walls and siege weapons take damage as they get hit by the waves. You can repair them when there’s a break in the action, or just build new ones.
Yeah, the limit for player-sent messages has always been 10. There’s also a limit for non-player messages (15, I believe).

The first year, I definitely agreed with this stance. We all went on the same path together (like in the clocktower for the first year), and you could see everyone’s huge characters. But then they changed it, gave you the choice of three paths, and took away the timed waiting period between runs. So, while the huge charr and norn can still be a pain to see around, it’s usually easily avoided by just lagging behind a tiny kittenoosing a less active path, or simply zooming all the way out.
From what I’ve seen the only problem with the Strange Rock is that players got themselves so worked up over how amazing it was going to be when they worked it out (based on no information whatsoever) that the end result was always going to be a disappointment.

You likely just did what I did and went to the wrong poster.
That’s not a bug. Any attacks that require a target (such as axe 1 and 2 and staff 1) or that require an enemy trigger (staff marks) won’t work because you can’t target the structures. Switch your utility skills to your wells, and either just use the cleave on the dagger auto-attack/use scepter and dagger/use GS.
I have the feeling that a majority of players in the JP are either just trying to complete the JP (either once to say they did it or the 15+ times for the achievement) or farming presents, rather than actually trying to compete. There are definitely those that do compete, but they seem to be the minority.
As for WHY it’s there, it’s probably just tied into the fact that all activities are technically pvp and are set up as such (with the scoreboard and all that).

Elonian leather squares are tradeable. And you can, indeed, just send a trusted friend all of the needed materials, have them craft the leather square, and then have them send it back to you. You could also buy the elonian leather on the Trading Post, but it will be cheaper to craft it yourself/have someone craft it.

During Season 2 the Pale Tree is attacked by a champion of Mordremoth and is very seriously wounded. We still don’t know how well she has recovered. Also, as you already stated, the Sylvari are Mordy minions. The Pale Tree, I believe, is a purified Blighting Pod (you’ll encounter Blighting Pods and what they do as you do more HoT story). It’ll explain it a bit more as you do more HoT story, but basically some Sylvari are able to resist the call of Mordy and some aren’t.
As for the egg, as was said above, Caithe stole it while we were distracted because she believes it is her duty to protect it. Basically, she just acts rashly and goes about doing the right thing is a really bad way.

If it sounds/looks like an exploit, then it should be reported to the email address hornswroggle posted above. Make sure you send your video and any other proof you have. You should also delete the details of the exploit from this post; sharing how an exploit is done isn’t allowed on the forums.
Check all of your characters’ inventories and your bank. Use the search field for both the Inventory and Bank to search for "spirit of the . . . ". Then do a search for just the perfected warhorn, just in case you never actually salvaged it. If you do all of that and still can’t find the item, then submit a support ticket. Assuming you actually did the crafting up to that point, they should be able to replace the missing item for you.
I love necro for pretty much any pve content. As far as survivability goes, I think necro (particularly reaper) is great. You also do good damage and, as long as you use your dodges and such, can solo most anything in open pve.

Yeah, I did… what if they don’t do anything about it? I never really hear anything good about the devs here.
If you account is new, then your buying a lot of things in a short period of time might have just triggered a flag. Things like that can happen, but I don’t hear of it being a common thing.
Anet’s support team is very good in my experience. The least pleasant experience is just the initial wait (can take up to three days for a non-computer response). If you really did not buy gold from a third party, then you shouldn’t have anything to worry about. If you still haven’t received a response after three days, then you can post your ticket # in the thread linked below so that they know to look into it.

Make sure you don’t have any quartz crystals in your bag. That can sometimes interfere with it.

Crafting a Precursor is Soulbind and not Account bound? I ask because I was about to make my first steps towards making the precursor for my Mesmer but I would have to make it on my Ele due to it having all crafts maxed and it would suck if it was soulbind after I made it.
Anyone clear this up for me please?
I’ve had a few precursor drops before but they were always account bound until used.
HoT precursors are ascended weapons, and ascended items are always account bound. The old (base game) precursors, whether obtained as a drop or crafted, are exotics which are tradeable on the TP (not bound at all) unless they are equipped.
All of the components crafted to make a legendary (gift of magic, gift of might, etc.) are account bound. The legendary itself will also either be unbound (base game legendaries) or account bound on acquire (HoT legendaries). So, it doesn’t really matter which character has the precursor because all of your characters can make the items needed.
So, if it’s a base game precursor, just don’t equip it if you want to actually use the precursor on another character. If it’s a HoT precursor, it doesn’t matter.

The issue is that the character who achieves or purchases the precursor it is soulbound to that character.
I think you’re a bit mistaken there. HoT precursors are always account bound on acquire. Old precursors are unbound on acquire, and they also become soulbound only when equipped. So, unless you’ve equipped your precursor(s), you should be able to pass them from character to character.
