Came back to the game after a 2 week break, figured PvP and it’s MM system would be less rage inducing and relaxing with a break.
First game back, get stuck in the roped off area of the fountain/statue IN THE CENTER OF CAPRICORN, have to re-log, team fights 4v5 for a minute, loses 300-100 lead and ends up losing entire game.
It’s one thing to get stuck somewhere on the side of the map where people don’t play or aren’t supposed to be. But it’s an entirely different thing to get stuck in the absolute CENTER of the map on a HUGE kittening obstacle.
I’ve tried playing this game out until it was fixed. Bungie managed to fix Destiny 1 after a year after release, maybe Anet can do the same? You would think after almost 5 years of waiting for Arena Net, something would finally be entirely enjoyable and concrete. A good final product to play and waste hours on But no. We are still getting untested and half-finished garbage. It’s not just PvP either. Everything is spread so thin it’s unreal.
Coliseum had bugs the first few days of release with shadow stepping, Skyhammer has been reworked I think twice now, and now even the rework of Capricorn apparently hasn’t been flushed out well either.
Producing MMO’s is hard, I get it, so much risk vs. reward in terms of being a productive/profitable company, but you would think you would at least focus on the key features that you use as a selling point in your game, to make them the best that they can possibly be. Nope. Keep making wings, keep selling stuff on the store.
I’m going back on my break.
Disclaimer: This post will concern the PvP warrior and the direction warrior is hopefully/should continue taking in the next balance patches and expansions.
Spellbreaker will be a strong, balanced and fun warrior spec in the next expansion.
It gives warriors access to the things that they have needed the most: a source of personal periodic resistance and skill based condition removal (Full Counter, Cleansing Ire), boon striping, and a personal invulnurability that does NOT come from UTILITIES.
Take note of that last part, because it is the key to success and its where Anet is taking the warrior and I’m here to say that it’s a very good thing.
Warriors are and have almost always been reliant on passive abilities and passive defensive utilities. Look at all of our utilities, all one click and done and they are WAY too good to pass up as utilities in PvP. This all arose during the hasty balances by Anet back when they made the game. Especially when they buffed Healing Signet 4-5 years ago when warrior was subpar at best. The fixes were hastily done to appease players and to keep them from quitting the game in its early state. That is when we saw builds like Hambow dominate simply because Healing Signet, Berserkers Stance, Balanced Stance, and Endure Pain, were all extremely strong and always have been. Even now, the best utilities STILL ARE those 4 utilities, even after major nerfs to them.
Now however, Anet is not as worried about losing their player base/has more time on their hands to balance and as a result, they are slowly making changes to warrior to make us more skill based and less reliant on our passive utilities. They are giving us skill based abilities and access to resistence, stability, regen, might stacking and condition removal through our choice of traits and abilities, NOT our utilities. This is a truly great thing because warriors have so many cool utilities that are simply not viable/unusable because we have needed Stances to survive in the past. However, they can’t just buff traits and leave stances the way that they are, or we will truly become unkillable.
Seeing things like Full Counter in the game, and the nerf to Endure Pain and tweaks on adrenal regen and healing signet gives me hope that warrior will become a more balanced, skill dependent class. Instead of a class entirely reliant on its passive utilities. They are buffing signets (still more skill based than stances), Bulls Charge, and giving us a pretty solid skill based heal, while also slightly nerfing endure pain, berskers stance and healing signet.
They obviously still have some tweaking to do, but I appreciate the direction that they are taking. I would love to be able to use less of my stances and more of my cooler, more skill based and rewarding utilities such as Bulls Charge, Throw Bolas, Kick, and Stomp. Not only will these things make warrior less faceroll, but it will also bring the feel of playing an actual warrior class to the game, which is definitely something we need to continue in future balance patches. More skill, less passive.
Agreed. The new spellbreaker spec for PvP looks a lot more skill oriented whilst being extremely rewarding at the same time. If you use your abilities correctly, especially Full Counter,
you can entirely turn a 1v1 around to your favor. It has also given the warrior some much needed personal periodic resistence, boon strip, and condition management that doesn’t come from your utilities.
Sure it may have had a simplified feel to it, but Spellbreaker was just plain fun to play and has a lot of room for some fun theorycrafting and build variations. Being a warrior main since release, I am definitely looking forward to the expansion now.
not even a full weekend in and people already complaining. Unless you have played warrior for 5 years as a main and have tried every single new sigil, rune, weapon and trait combination possible, you have no place in saying that something is bad.
That being said, I notice that a lot of warriors don’t know how to be ‘squishy’, which it seems that the SpellBreaker will certainly be. This build is VERY dependent on Full Counter which is awesome because it makes you think about when to use it. Warriors that make the best use of Full Counter will be the best warriors in PvP.
Also, double weapons in this game will ALWAYS be horrible for warrior in PvP. When has Axe/Axe, or Sword/Sword, or any other double weapon combo in the game EVER been viable for warrior? I won’t even mention Mace/Mace. lol. Use a shield. It’s literally the best weapon in the game for the warrior.
There are definitely better servers than others if you want to focus in WvW. Some servers are much more organized and have better WvW guilds that have skilled players and veterans in them.
Here is your list of WvW servers, even though they are all busy right now, the hype will die eventually. Servers like Maguuma, Black Gate, and JQ have always, since he games release, been big WvW servers.
Since Berserker Warrior has been nerfed into the ground… let’s bring back an old favorite of mine.
Sigil of Stagnantion on Axe/Sword – – – VERY CRUCIAL TO BUILD (Synergizes strongly with leg specialist)
Sigil of Cleansing on Longbow
Dolyak Signet for more toughness
Warbanner for support and team fights
“Fear Me” for extra shout and fear.
Important Build Combo -
Build adrenaline and poke with longbow.
Move in close, swap to Axe/Sword to activate Sigil of Stagnation and Leg Specialist and then immediately eviscerate.
Use Throw Axe in combination with Leg Specialist to set up more Eviscerates.
Be aware of Diminishing Returns with your Immobile condition.
Shouts I believe were buffed quite significantly last patch and with ANOTHER significant buff to the damage and utilities of all axe abilities…this build should be quite solid. I’ve been seeing a lot of potential with it the last 6 hours of game play with it. Been able to win most 1v1s and I prefer using Warbanner over Signet of Rage.

This needs to be addressed and fixed. Lost -17 rating in a game where you literally had a full second delay on all of your abilities. An announcement also needs to be made ASAP in game so people don’t queue until there is a fix. It’s NA prime time right now. This is a potential season destroyer for those who even still queue in Spvp.
- everyone in the game experienced this lag
You wonder why casual players get turned away from Spvp? This is why. I play more than 30min of Spvp a day so it’s not as much of a hindrance to me, I will definitely make it up in the long run, but I feel bad for the player who logs on to play a game or two a day for their Ascension backpack or just a casual game or two and is totally shafted by the MM system.
Why are we still losing points and placement match progress when it’s 4v5 from the very beginning of the match? Earlier today I had to play through the entirety of an almost unwinnable 4v5 game ( still almost won) and still lost rating for that game. So now I have wasted time playing that game and now I have to waste time playing and trying to win a game to make up for the loss that I shouldn’t even have lost rating for in the first place.
So now I have wasted 15-20 minutes making up for something that was in no way my fault, and the second win to make up for the loss isn’t even guaranteed. Worse off, it was one of my placement matches, so now I’m going to get tanked even further down on the leader board and have to spend time digging myself out of kitten that I had no control over being in in the first place.
I’m so salty and sick of the kitten poor MM design already, it’s almost unreal. I was planning on playing today, but I’m out for the time being. I’m not gonna invest in a system that is built around being an utter waste of your time and well planned efforts.
Hey man, no sPvP guild here, but I will definitely duo queue with you this season if you are Looking to improve. Just add me in game and we will play.
Nothing significant has changed in my opinion.
Condi PS will still be slightly better dps on most fights in raids. However, now that banners have been increased to 10 and raids will start bringing only 1 PS warrior instead of two, I think that condi PS will be choosen more often due to the fact that it runs “For Great Justice” (which is now buffed x2) and will have an easier time maintaining might uptime because it can hit the boss more often at meele and at range with longbow.
In WvW the best for blobbing will still be GS/Hammer. The hammer buffs just make us do slightly more damage, but doesn’t make that significant of a difference in terms of raw DPS. It just makes Hammer slightly more viable.
In SPvP, hammer is still too slow, probably wont make the meta game. However with the mace 2 skill getting a slight buff to its vulnurability stacks, you will probably see more builds with it, since all 3 meta Berserker builds all encorporate mace already, again, nothing major will change.
Pretty lackluster changes for the warrior this time around, which is a shame because this was the big yearly balance patch…oh well. Druids got a nice pet buff so…maybe I will try them.
This is a huge no. Any team with an ele in it is hugely favored to win over the latter.
Just balance the game so that druids and elementalists aren’t so strong on their own. It doesn’t make sense that an auramancer, that provides crazy healing, protection and ultilty, should also be able to stalemate any class 1v1 on point. Same goes for Druid, one of the best 1v1 classes in the game, has crazy survivability, team healing and burst damage. If a player wants to play a support class, they shouldn’t be unkillable as well.
You already know that unkillable bunker meta does not work in this game. You nerfed Spirit ranger, bunker guardian, bunker warrior, chrono, and even ele once already. Nerf survivability of support classes instead of overbuffing Necros and boon strip and the game wont be as miserable to soloQue into for the player who can’t multiclass.
If this change goes into effect, it looks like I’’m maining ele/druid to carry my games because support is just too strong.
I don’t know how long it has been, but I have no idea if there is a community server for SPvP in Guildwars2 anymore. I know Academy Gaming used to?/still has? a community Teamspeak… but I don’t ever hear anything about it anymore.
Is there any interest in a community run and funded Mumble primarily for use in 5v5 SPvP ranked matches? CS:GO/ESEA does it with their ranked S matches, they just SoloQ in and join the correct mumble channel with their teammates.
Now that SPvP is being paid attention to by Anet and making a “comeback.” Is there any interest in this? I would start off with 100 slots for the first month. This would all be for the betterment of ranked SPvP and the community.
Let me know in this thread, post, show your support/ideas and let me know. Goodluck and happy queuing!
(edited by Interpretor.3091)
Had a thief disconnect for the last 100 points of the match and continued to be offline even when the match ended . Why am I losing rating when there is a disconnect in the match?
WHAT IS A “NO” BUTTON ANET? ?!? MATCHMAKING ALREADY TAKES LONG ENOUGH BECAUSE DEAD GAME MODE. THE 15+ SECONDS IN MATCH WONT MAKE ME BUY MORE GEMS.
Pvp is dead. Most of the tournement players don’t even log in anymore or only play one hour per week. Pvp is flooded with causals and a few wannabe-tryhards who suddenly come out of their corner since everyone good is gone and since none is playing seriously. 99% of the cool people that you already knew in 2013/2014 aren’t playing actively anymore.
It’s still a powercreeped environment with long queuetimes, without build diversity, without any competitive leaderboard and without any prospect of improvement.
Sad but true
^^^ this. 100% this. Hell the only pro player I see active in game or on the forums anymore in Chaith. The last time a pro player actively tried to improve the overall community was Zoose with his PvP guide and that was what, two years ago now?
That and forum posts like this aren’t responded to by Anet at all. It’s like they can only focus on one thing at a time. First Raids and now WvW (which is barely holding on even though Anet has almost all of its attention on it, even going as far as delaying all PvE content such as the new legendary weapons).
Then, whats even worse is that these posts are quickly replaced by other posts, who are mostly made by casuals complaining about the game being too hard, complicated, or how bad their MMR is.

Highest I’ve ever gotten was 11th right behind the old Good Fights team.
At that level it is way more dependent with whom you play than who you are, unless it was soloq rating.
Team beat Crysis and his team like 2-3 times and we got put there one night. So satisfying.
Highest I’ve ever gotten was 11th right behind the old Good Fights team.
As a player since beta, Plz. No one plays this game anymore, I can finally reach number 1. ;p
This will be a tight-nit, dedicated group of 5-7 players. We will practice Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, every week, 7:30 – 10:30 EST and possibly weekends if time permits.
During your trial you must show:
- Knowledge and high level play of 2-3 classes as well as proficient knowledge of every class and meta spec.
- Proper and confident rotations.
- Desire to learn, improve and win.
Gameplay recordings are a must. Each member will post gameplay footage to be watched and commented on. You must be able to give and take CONSTRUCTIVE criticism.
The team will be professionally conducted and there will be order. However, I want each member play a significant role in improving the team. This is not a team where you will show up during queue times, play, and then log off for the night. You must show dedication and you must be continuously practicing every aspect of your gameplay before and after practices. If a player, regardless of his/her personal ability or skill, discontinues to show their desire to improve. They will be replaced.
Those that disagree with any of these notions, need not apply. Remember, we are playing for money, think of it as a part time job.
To everyone else, we would love to have you. Please apply by posting your class range, /age of your main account and your account name.
Thank you and good luck!

Hi, I’ve made it to legend the last three seasons. Here are some short tips:
- Try queuing up with other players of your skill level.
- When queuing as a team, play on teamspeak and play classes that synergize well with each other.
- Learn and become proficient in 2-3 other classes aside from your main. That way you are able to switch between classes before the match starts to better your team comp.
- Know when your class is countered and when you should switch classes so that you can carry.
- Look up some rotation guides for each map – Zoose, from Team Pz, has a good one somewhere…Here it is – https://teampz.com/guides/
- Don’t be toxic in matches
If you are truly serious about progressing and learning, join my guild and come play with me. Best of luck.
no. those belong in pve with ridiculously inflated price.
we get our free ASCENDED precursor for free in pvp seasons.
this year it is the year of the ascension (back item)
wait for the next year for different item.
So, I’m supposed to wait 6 months for a single different item, which will probably be another backpiece? Whats the point of that? I can only wear one backpeice at a time.
The game has been out for almost four years now. Hardcore PvErs have MULTIPLE legendaries. Hell Nike from DnT has multiples of the same legendary on his warrior. I have put just as much time into this game as he has as a PvP player. Yet I have one reward to show for it, which is a legendary backpiece that took 4 years to come around and less than 2 months to craft.
If Anet wants to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on PvP then they ought to put more major incentives into it. GuildWars2 end game gear is almost purely aesthetic, gear only matters when you get into extreme PvE and fractals and even then it is only just a little.
If I am a legendary PvP player, should I not be rewarded with legendary gear and weapons?
…Also, like I previously stated, it does not matter if the precursor for the backpiece is ascended or not…and it’s not free, it takes a decent amount of time in PvP to get one. I could care less about the stats as a PvPer… I only farmed the backpiece for the skin.
(edited by Interpretor.3091)
So it’s season 3. I know there was already a forum post about adding things to the League Vendor, but I’m assuming it’s buried under all of the posts crying about their MMR.
Many seasoned PvPers have already gotten their legendary back pieces and I’m already (supposedly -.-) getting a mini llama from the AG tournament I was a finalist in, so I don’t need one…
Can we get account bound, old (non-HoT), legendary weapon precursors for the PvP vendor? Since you are too busy to make new armor skins/legendary weapons/legendary armor, can we get something that’s already preexisting in the game?
The only reason PvPers get legendary weapons are for the skins and not the stats. It would be an excellent incentive for PvP players to venture out into the world and play more of the game. I certainly would play more (and spend more money on the gem store on gold ;p), if I had a precursor…
Make it like 250 league tickets or something. That would take a good 2-3 PvP seasons of hitting legendary to get there, so 3-4 months of PvP if you count the breaks between seasons.
Personally, I will be at 175 at the end of this season when I hit legendary and I have hit legendary twice already. I also have farmed my legendary backpiece, so it will still take me 2 more seasons to get to 250. These precursors would be unfarmable because you can’t get League Tickets after you hit legendary, meaning it would be timegated, which I know you guys love.
maybe you’re just not that good man?
Or maybe you can’t read the forum, which is full of countless posts like this from different people?
Blaming the player, who already reached legendary 2x in the previous 2 seasons (evident from having the legendary back piece) while you yourself have unlikely done so is not the first thing to do. The matchmaker has issues.
First of all, the players who actually log in and post on the official forums probably only represent like 25% of the overall PvP population.
Second of all, it does not matter how well you did the last two seasons because the matchmaking has been changed and has been overall improved to place you with players of the appropriate skill level.
In-fact, this season is an appropriate representation of your actual skill level compared to any other season in guildwars2 history and each upcoming season will continue to be a better representation as the MMR system improves, which it has been.
So stop complaining, get off the forums, and play the game for fun or quit and go outside and stop bothering the rest of us.
So WvW and Mastery levels are infinite. Meaning that they never stop leveling up. Can we get it so sPvP levels do the same? It would just be cool to see how high up long term PvP players can get.
Use Demolisher’s Amulet
Is it based purely on MMR?
Did I skip right over it by getting a 100% winrate in Ruby playing core ranger?
If you have a high MMR you probably were paired with all the best players all the way hence why you literally flew over that division.
If you want to experience “MMR hell”, crippled your MMR and then retry Ruby. Tell me how it is in soloq after that…
Yeah but we worked for our MMR in season 1 just like everyone else did. Doesn’t that make sense? Also, if we are paired with the best players, we are also paired against the best players too because hopefully thats how MMR works lol. So your argument is invalid.
This is legit the third post I’ve seen of you pronouncing to the world that you made legendary with your warrior lol…
this is all flawed to begin with
faker elitists cry for harder rewards but when the going gets tought what do they do?
immedietly roll necromancer or druid or revenant to faceroll players without skill
Faker elitist? Who said I was an elitist and do you even know me? lmao… I just had to respond to this because it made me laugh.
Look, I didn’t say I was going to get all the rewards or even that I want all of the rewards. I’m saying that rewards should be hard to get. There needs to be challenging content for players who are dedicated and not casual. In WoW it was literally impossible to get everything, it made the game worthwhile and gave players who wanted it a true goal to achieve. I only got about ~5 server first raid kills in WoW, but they are my titles and my memories of the game that no one else will ever get and will only ever see if I decide to log on that day and play the game on my toon. It’s what made it great…It’s an absolutely fantastic feeling for this game and in fact anything in life. It’s like if you owned a car where only ~300 were ever made, or a one of a kind signed baseball, or whatever your vice/hobby/sport is.
I don’t want all the rewards, I want the players who truly deserve them to have them. I want players, including myself, to be rewarded and able to show the time and effort they have put into the game that they truly enjoy. I for one certainly hope I don’t have the time to get all of the high end level rewards in this game, because I have a life to enjoy as well. However, I will equally respect players who have more titles, skins and gold in this game than I do because they spent the time to earn those things, just like I do in real life.
PS: I main warrior.
If that’s the case let’s do it like this. Any player who even stepped once in pvp, will have their access completely taken from Fractal legendary wings…because we have to be fair right? U make pvp wings impossible to get for “everyone” then we do the same for the rest of content for u.
Thats the most childish comment i’ve ever heard, pvp is just that, player vs player. Its entire core is about skill and being better than your enemy. Hence it only makes sense that there is more than just the feeling of being one of the top players. The rewards should be tied to the way you perform.
Those wings aren’t just pretty wings, they are also a sign of “this guy pvps a lot and most likely takes his pvp serious”.
Theres plenty of fancy purely cosmetic wings in the store, or as you stated yourself, with some effort the fractal backpiece will eventually become availlable (which wont be free either, it takes effort in its own way).
legendary wings is fine as it is. pvp at the moment how hard as it may be is actually trying to confront everybody with the truth how things are going. Bassically the 50/50 matches are gone. How you played in the past will now directly affect your fate now.
ie low mmr’s are paired up with low mmr’s high mmr’s with high mmr’s. this pretty much makes it harder to get carried and thus means that every player must now play together and get better. the only odd ones out are the lower and average mmr’s having more chance to bieng paired up with newer players, this and mmr abusers that either payed good players, went into stronghold farm.
so yeah only the newer players can kinda get carried to some extend and the Lucky kittens that mmr manipulated before hand to get carried into legendary.
People that tanked thier mmr however are at the short end of the stick, they now have to carry new players.
with this all in play, i think needing to go to legendary is already hard enough.
Leagues are doing exactly what i figure u want.
Yes, I am loving this league system. I think the MMR is great and the rewards are fun and worth going after. I wish there was some more balancing being done, but other than that, no complaints here. I actually would really like to see custom armor skins from the league ticket vendor, PvP exclusive of course. Fractals and raids have their own weapon/armor skins, other MMO games have their own PvP exclusive gear sets and skins, why can’t we? It would be a great addition to this game.
- Since very other (major) league system manages to provide high-qualitative matches, don’t you think, we deserve those too?
Who do you think I am, ArenaNet?
It appears that what ArenaNet wanted was for the skilled players to accelerate to their correct divisions instead of slowly carving up Ambers/Emeralds for 50 games.
Some experienced players really didn’t like having to sweat and struggle in Amber.
Jesus Chaith get your kitten together and balance sPvP already.
…in fact, make them even harder to get.
Let me explain,
A lot of stuff is going around about the legendary wings from pvp and how they are too hard to get for the casual player. I just want to say that this is the point and it’s incredibly enjoyable and rewarding to the hardcore player base.
Anet, if you decide to make things any easier to get for the casual player, this is the moment your game will die. All I do is PvP and I love it. I am incredibly excited that I will get to be one of the first players sporting my legendary wings this next month. This is what draws myself and many others to this game and it should never ever be changed. The hardcore players that you have are the core to this game, we have been playin since release, we play almost everyday, and we make the community what it is. Without this player base there is no core within the MMO, nothing to hold it together. This is a thing that WoW did so well, they had a qstrong balance between the needs of their casual players and their hardcore players. I still go back to WoW every once in a while to sit in major cities and sport my server first titles (which are titles only 25 people per server got, so only about 500 in the entire game got) because it’s enjoyable to have something that no one else, and no one else will ever get, because I put an immense amount of time and effort into it to recieve it. Unfortunately, the reasons that I and the rest of my guild quit and moved to guild wars 2 was because blizzard stopped doing this. blizzard stopped respecting their hardcore players and instead began to cater to casual players with the intention of profit. Now look at WoW. It’s a game with the weakest and most casual player base ever AND has the lowest sub count in the games history.
That being said, I love the primordial legend title, it is something that no one else will get again. I also love the idea of wings and legendaries being hard to get. So please, please whatever you do and no matter what anyone says, do not stop adding new and gratifyingly difficult content for your game. Make it so that some content will not be attainable to the rest of the player base. Yes it will upset some people, but you need to realize the importance of this casual/hardcore balance. I don’t want to see this game turn into what WoW is now.
Now, I’m speaking mainly in terms of PvP because that’s what I do, but it should also be something to follow for all other game types as well. If you do this, I guarantee your player base will be healthier and the game will live longer. You will see old hardcore players return to the game to achieve these challenges with their friends. Please keep content difficult and novelty items/titles challenging to receive
(edited by Interpretor.3091)
Were there any hints from Anet about custom PvP only weapon/armor skins from the League Ticket Vendor? I’ve gathered all of the materials I need for my legendary backpiece (5 certificates of support and all 4 wings), now I have all of these extra tickets lying around with nothing to spend them on.
While we are on the subject actually…I’m literally only playing 3 games a day for my daily completion for Year of the Ascension and that is literally the only thing motivating me to play sPvP games anymore. Is there even a title for reaching legendary this season? Is there any initiative or rewards for players like myself who have already done everything there is to do in terms of sPvP?? Hell it only took me a month to do these things. I would have my legendary backpiece if the thing wasn’t time gated, which is entirely unnecessary (seriously anet?!?).
What I’m basically asking is, what is the point of reaching legendary this season for players who did it last season? As far as I see it, there are none.
You just get better, you need to honestly learn to play before you come on here and complain. Watch some pro games and learn some rotations, pick up another class or two so you can work with the comp you get set up with and more easily carry games. You need to adapt and learn, you aren’t doing anything by coming on here and saying something is wrong with the system when there is a extremely high probability that it might just be you. The pip system is actually really good this season and I haven’t had any problems with MMR and I solo queue about 80% of the time. That being said, here are my solo queue games for today.
How did I know that online was going to be either the first or second reply on this post? Oh and btw where do I sign up for my “best warrior NA” signature? I hear they are pretty cheap these days.
Healing Signet got buffed just fine. However people are ignoring the even bigger buff to warrior sustainability and healing which is the buff to Adrenal Health.
USE PALADINS AMMY!!!!!!************************
Hammer buffs! yay. I posted this a while ago but since hammer is at the place where its suppose to be now, I wanted to share it again with a few changes from the original build. Again, Paladins amulet is the choice here. It’s just too good for a meele class, gw2skills editor didn’t have the updated ammy’s yet, but ill fix it when they do.
Sigils are pretty flexible, energy is a must on at least one of your weapons for the vigor uptime because it allows you to pick up Destruction of the Empowered for that 3% minimal dmg increase. I would recommend putting it on the bow because hammer has better sigil options.
I’m using accuracy and fire on for the extra crit chance with hammer since Blood Reaction is upping your Ferocity and I like things to hit hard. You may want to put Doom as the second slot on your longbow, but its up to you.
GL HF. Welcome back.
Pce, see you next week!
Has this happened yet? I still have not received my title.
This is like 95% of the people who post on these forums.
No, its not for the casual player. Theres plenty of Back Pieces for casual players. This is for the Best @ PVP to get.
insert buzzer sound here
“The Ascension is designed to reward investment in PvP by any player "
“Any player” != PvP Elite
The Elite will just get it faster. And that’s as it should be.
DO YOU REALLY want to start quoting Arenanet on things??
We strongly believe that regular balance updates are one of the key pillars of building a successful competitive game. As such, prior to each season, there will be a balance update. League play will generally begin about two weeks after a balance update to ensure that the metagame has stabilized in an appropriate manner. Balance will be closely monitored throughout the season with the goal of having solid balance going into the postseason tournaments.
I don’t understand, you think you deserve a higher rank? I say you don’t. You are obviously stuck in ruby for a reason and if you are trying to solo queue you should be losing because it’s not the way that the game is meant to be played.
I certainly don’t want players like this in a higher rank,…people who don’t deserve it, shouldn’t get it. Balance issues and Amber shopping aside, Legend is not, nor should it ever be, a grind anyone can get. You need to be better and smarter than your opponents and solo queue is neither of those things. I played to legend with organized teams and groups of friends and In return we are all better and more skilled players than we were before we started.
There is a limit to skill progression and learning important mechanics when playing solo queue and apparently for most people, that limit is Ruby, which is perfectly fine with me.
So either find a team and get into team speak, or mumble, or Skype to learn how to communicate and rotate the way the game is meant to be played, or continue arguing in map chat with your solo queue brethren in Ruby division.
Lol warrior isn’t bad, it’s just that Revenant is 3 times better at the very least. Revenant does just as much damage, provides its team with all of the important PvP boons in the game for almost free, and survives against condition and physical damage for much longer and more efficiently than any other damage dealing class. Warrior is not bad, Revenant just does everything so much better so why bother? I mean I guess you can play warrior to prove people wrong, but hey, let’s see how far that gets you. I would say Ruby at most, maybe diamond if you have friends who want to carry you.
Guys, I’m just being a jerk. I’m legend and I just won like 8 games in a row on my warrior so its all good. I’m just salty about how bad warriors are.
LOL. ok sir ok…
I very much enjoy the small scene PvP community that Gw2 has. I think its what BnS will have that without the hassle of having to deal with a company like Anet who doesn’t take care of their game.
So I will be playing it when it comes out in NA and hopefully it will be the replacement for Gw2 I am hoping for and I can leave this god forsaken, horribly neglected, game that I have wasted so much time and effort on.
