And here she is as Taki from Soul Calibur:
(I only have 1 character so I try to find 2 people to cosplay as: one, using her normal armor and another using her outfit)

Scarlet will be revealed as the person behind Tixx’s toys rampaging.
I totally agree with the SAB thing. They should give refunds to people who purchased the infinite coin.
This isn’t what the game was supposed to be like when I spent money on it. That’s my issue with this ascended crap. Why couldn’t have they just focused on new skills, weapon sets for professions instead?
Hmm long term goal eh? Let’s take in consideration how long it’ll take to gear up everyone’s 5 char slots that came with the game.
Is there even enough time in the life cycle of this game to get this gear?
The problem is that there is already such a disparity in the player base in terms of how much time people can dedicate to grinding out weapons/gear. I mean, I have a friend who has at least 4 legendaries, but I barely have 2 ascended pieces.
There will be plenty of people who have full ascended armor in the first week, but you’ll also see plenty of people that still don’t have a set 6 months later.
Instead of putting in prestigeous, hard to attain armor skins (and no, T3 cultural doesn’t count. Ascended stuff costs much, much more than a full set of that), they’re adding in a set that boosts stats.
If I knew about Ascended before and how ridiculous the method/s of acquiring them I never would’ve bought the game. If they ever decide to make an expansion, I’m not gonna buy it. This latest patch (fractured) alone has made me lose all of my trust in Anet.
If I wanted a gear grind, I would’ve chosen a different game. I bought GW2 precisely because of the manifesto. I’m just waiting for EQN to be released.

Well I wouldn’t talk to the pizza delivery guy either. :/
You know what would avoid suspicion? An appropriate attire for the event. I mean, who would trust someone that looks like this (1st picture)? Or worse: like that (2nd picture; might as well have cursed a child to eternal sleep)… I wish we had more “town clothes”-esque outfits like the nobles are wearing. Considering my human mesmer is a noble too. No wonder they don’t trust me.
Anyway, what did you wear to the party?

Post screenies of your characters in cosplay!
Here’s my take on Angelina Jolie’s Maleficent… I named her Queen Of The Moors after this trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0j61zHvt3so
I like GW2 when it was much simpler.. When we only needed either crafting or karma or tokens, from just whatever type of content we want, when we want it and still get BiS equipment without so much hassle.
I chose GW2 because I thought the grind was gonna only gonna be cosmetic.
(edited by Leo Paul.1659)
I feel exactly the same. Too much is too much. We don’t need an expansion’s worth of content if the direction goes this way. If I wanted more content, please allow me to choose whether I want it or not.. Let ME buy an expansion pack if I want to, not shove it down my throat.

So far, with every release, the future ain’t looking very bright for me with this game. I dunno how I can stay optimistic anymore for GW2.
All these changes only make me feel like GW2 was released too early. “Wait and see” is for beta. Now that the game is live, it is inexcusable.
Me, who is a massive GW1 fan, it’s not like I hate the GW2. In fact, I like it, and have been logging in still pretty frequently. It’s just that I don’t like where the game is headed, particularly the temporary contents and especially with how the ascended items were introduced (and how it is acquired via time-gating and stuff) and the justifications they made (how it’s supposed to bridge the gap between exotic and legendary when in fact it makes it worse when they implemented ascended weapon crafting and how it uses resources that could’ve been used for Legendaries instead).
BRIDGE: a structure carrying a pathway or roadway over a depression or obstacle. (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/bridge)
BUT, I still have hope that they’d still be able to fix the game enough to still abide by the manifesto (how we’d find the things we love from GW1 in GW2 and how there isn’t a steep VP in terms of getting BiS) they had when they were promoting this game. So we criticize, and we say how we don’t like the game as it is now. They’d still be able to make the game as good as it was before, when it was fun and when it didn’t feel like a chore.
For one, I’d rather have ascended equipments tradeable, like exotics, so that we still have one universal currency to purchase any equipment tier we need, and play how we wanna play the game and not lose on any content: GOLD.
For the temporary content, I wish we could have a wallet of some sort of the skins we have unlocked via the meta achievements from LS like the one on the achievement panel. I find it annoying that when new backpieces are released, I have no way of getting the old one back once I transmute, and probably never will. As a sort of souvenir affirming that I was there when it was released or whatever.

My character cosplaying as…
We already got him to attend the summit. Who’s to say he hadn’t ran to some more mordrem on his way back to Rata Sum? Certainly not me… teehee let me escort you on your way back councillor
Forget about the statue, I want the fans! O_O Or better yet, I want fans ingame! Dual fan wielding mesmers like the one on the mesmer wallpaper.
Oh man I really hate jumping stuff. >_< Optional jps are ok, but requiring the aspects to move around the map is annoying to me.
I disagree with Peetee. Tixx would only like to apologize to his Asura females. He only wanted to look at them, not you silly bookahs.
Makes sense.. At that height, he could look at their ears.
I have never been so afraid before.
I sort of second this. I can only assume that the materials required for a single piece of ascended gear will be similar to a weapon and that scares the hell out of me because its so much. Let me take that back…to craft the individual pieces isnt so bad. But getting your crafting to 500 is the hardest part. Its rediculous.
The whole idea behind ascended is still preposterous for me.. And the more they delve into it, the more jaded I become about the game.
She deserves respect? :/
Again, it’s not so much about Scarlet, as it is about the player character, like I said in my post. My character would not go making jokes about dead tyrants or singing “ding-dong the witch is dead”. Now all the options that were given were equally bad. That’s what I’m personally arguing here.
I understand and I agree that people should’ve had more options. My issue is with the people who think that people who like the options are morally daft. I wouldn’t say the options themselves were bad, just lacking.
-_- not a very merry xmas for me afterall.
I agree with the people who said that the problem with ascended is it forces us to play a specific way to acquire them. Compared to exotics and lower tiers, we can do anything we want and yet still be able to acquire them. With ascended equips, I have to do fractals, or guild missions or dailies (activities which weren’t part of my regular routine before) so that I can get them items.
I’m still confused as to why people would keep on saying ’it’s optional, you don’t have to get it’. We aren’t required to get to level 99 in other games either. Level 98 is fine and yet why do we pursue max level or final equipments in other games? GW2 isn’t an exception. Heck, we can even do anything with just green items in GW2 but why do we want to get exotics?
They should’ve just used the tribal armor (masquerade armor in pvp) as the new gem store skins instead of using the T3 human cultural armor.
Isn’kitten little too early for april fools?
This patch is making me think of quitting GW2 altogether.
This isn’t playing for fun anymore..
Good thing I don’t get immersed enough in video games that I confuse my real world morals with theirs.
But you immersed enough to go to the forums and talk about how not immersed are you. You know, some people might even think, that you care. Silly people.
Of course I care about the game. I wouldn’t be playing it otherwise… Just not enough to misconstrue a joke with realism.
So…would it be fine, if game, u care about, would transform into puke jokes and story for a 10 year old kids?
It hasn’t so far. I’ll keep you posted about how I’d feel about it if it happens.
See? So its all about your moral standards. Guess, they just wasnt as high as mine. A little lower and even u would be hurt. Looks like you immersed much enough. Just dont accept it untill it hurts ya.
Morality is subjective. What you perceive as high, I might see as self righteousness.
But my point still stands. If u care about the game > u care about the story. U just fine with the way story is made right now.
Ofc I do care about the story. That was never a point of contention.
It was, actually.
Good thing I don’t get immersed enough in video games that I confuse my real world morals with theirs
U see. If u not immersed enough, so u shouldnt care about puke jokes and story for 10 year olds.Because its a game world! Dont confuse your morals and theirs! In Tyria its just fine!
Wut? Not being deeply immersed =/= not caring.
Next gemstore update: buy the gem conversion upgrade for 1100 gems to convert gems and gold in smaller increments!
Ugh, I agree 100%. I was so disappointed with GW2’s storytelling. I felt no connection to my character because she acted so differently from what I envisioned her to be when I was creating her. I also really hate the fact that I practically became Trahearne’s sidekick in HIS storyline.
So let me get this straight, veteran players have been wanting more hardcore content implemented to this game because they felt that it is too casual and that it didn’t feel challenging enough, that it was too faceroll, and that progression didn’t feel all that good because you got pretty much everything from the start.
So while they didn’t get level 80 endgame content, they did get early game stuff that gives you that progression, that gives you that challenge because you don’t get most of your traits and skills so early on. The game is still casual, but you can’t faceroll through content anymore, at least not early on.
So while it’s not the dungeons and more world bosses made into challenging behemoths, they did so with the leveling and the system they’ve put in place.
It really is all about perspective, and people just don’t seem to understand that they got what they wanted, but just because it’s not in a place where they expected it to be, they think it’s all wrong.
The game has become more challenging in this area, so open your eyes and appreciate it, because this is what you were looking for.
I really am buffled why veteran players complain that leveling is too hard now, when you want more hard kitten in this game…
Anet can’t win.
How is endgame content = early game stuff? Kitten logic right?
I wonder – why would anyone buy such expensive pieces that are so bland (I personally think the lawless stuff are ugly as hell) over a set that costs less yet have flame effects or glows. -_-
It was definitely faster before. People seem to forget that doing personal story gave a good chunk of experience. And the gating of weapon skills is just painful.
GW1 wasn’t as boring as GW2 in it’s first year of release.
Hmm…
I haven’t even filed a lawsuit yet, and Tixx is offering me all of this. What does that tell you about the validity of my case? Should I take the presents? Should I file? Or should I trade it all for what’s behind door number three?
Hmm this is a complicated matter. How old are you first of all? :X
kitten morals I’m just happy to finally get Belinda’s GS :X

The feature pack is practically a deceptive illusion to make you feel like you are accomplishing something when the rewards are essentially the same, only more tedious but with flashier pop-ups.

LOL @ people being self-righteous against people who dislike the pavilion changes. Your opinion is just as valuable as theirs.
Any organization concerned with its reputation and with building sustainable trust with internal and external stakeholders, must recognize that legalistic arguments about what one has a right to do undermines credibility. The lens of judgment is made from ethical principles – what’s right, fair and responsible — not justifications based on legality rather than morality.
An ethical people and companies often do more than they are required to do and less than they are allowed to do. The law tell us what we can’t do (i.e., prohibitions) and, sometimes what we must do (i.e., mandates); it does not answer the bigger question what should we do.
Ethical vs Legal
Next, it will be COF armors with green flames. They will call it Toxin-kissed.
That’s a false analogy at best.
I have to agree with the people who dislike having jumping and aspects forced on us as the only way to progress in LS S2. I have no jumping ability, and this will effectively lock me out of LS S2. I started a thread about this in Living Story /Discussion, which may get moved here. Not trying to be redundant, I just posted it in the wrong place.
What about people that have slow reaction times? They have been having issues with more or less every release.
Or people that are colorblind might have had rather major issues with quite a few segments due to not seeing AoE circles and such.
So it’s ok to alienate more of their playerbase because they’ve been doing it before?
I’m all for helping newer players get a better experience, but not at the expense of veterans. There is no excuse for changing the entire system instead of just using it as an additional UI instead.
Ermm….
I don’t see anywhere that indicate that only 1% is capable of obtaining it. It is a pvp exclusive armour, it is not a TOURNAMENT exclusive armour. There’s big difference.
The people who join the TOURNAMENT will able to obtain these armour set without having to grind for it via PVP.
On other hand, to those who didn’t join the TOURNAMENT will have to get them via the PVP track.
geez, i must salute you for your selective reading skill.
I know right ?
There will be TWO sets of armor that will be released exclusively to PvP: the Glorious armor and Glorious Hero’s armor.
The Glorious Hero’s set is a top-tier reward for certain competitive tournaments like the Guild Wars 2 International All-Star Tournament at gamescom.
the Glorious Hero’s set will be available as a prize in similar tournaments in the future. The Glorious Armor set is something we wanted all players to be able to earn. As such, all players have the opportunity to obtain the Glorious armor set from a repeatable Glorious Armor Reward Track that will arrive with the feature pack.
I’m entertained by the irony.
Oh please no, the normal ones are expensive enough.. -_- if they don’t make a ceiling for stat infusions then it’ll be a treadmill.
How is ascended supposed to bridge the gap between exotics and legendary now huh? When we are required to spend those items on ascended instead. -_-
They should’ve just allowed us to ascend our current gear through some other method. They’re just killing the game for me personally. I’m regretting ever buying into their promises.
I pity the people who spent so much time on their expensive exotic weapons. Should’ve just waited and used that gold on ascended instead. :/
(edited by Leo Paul.1659)
I really really don’t like how they’re practically forcing people to play modes they normally wouldn’t because of the daily… I thought they changed they dailies before to avoid this particularly? Why the change of heart?
The game is fun, yes. But it doesn’t seem to integrate ‘competitive’ (nor cooperative to an extent) gameplay as much as GW1 did, which was it’s core appeal – a CORPG.
oh he’s definitely evil; anyone who designed those freakish princess dolls must be.
Marionette was better because not only did it point the players in the right direction, having more players on your lane was a good thing. This event scales poorly in comparison, and telling people they aren’t welcome to join you and look for another boss for whatever reason is just poor by design in gw2 standards.
