Farming champions in Orr for about 3 hours nets me 12-15 gold…..and that’s not in one go I can’t farm-mindlessly for hours like I used to anymore. I am amazed people are making so much gold, but it makes me nervous because IF ANet ever does nerf drops etc…..that simply effects people like me who don’t farm constantly….casuals in other words.
There are some dark souls in this thread :-P Keep dreaming. It’s not going to happen.
All of you hoping so much with your sweet hearts that Queen Jennah will meet her death, will be sorely disappointed.
She’s going nowhere! You forget she is one of the most powerful mesmers around, and you all know how hard mesmers are to take out generally. So keep dreaming.
;-)
But if the queen is killed off, then there can be a new election? That means Team Gnashblade will be back with a vengeance!
#KingEvon
How would a charr become king of a human institution? Royalty is through birthright, not through demcoracy. I voted for Evon too, but that’s one dream too far :-P
I agree with Baron, Queen Jennah isn’t going anywhere. It sure seems like some people would like to see her die though….twisted people :-P
It’s because of her disgusting dirty feet she keeps flashing all over the place.
She’s the queen she can do whatever she wants!
But yeah….she could have done something with her hair (and put on some shoes).
I don’t mind seeing some sort of fight in Divinity’s Reach….it would be a perfect opportunity to show the other races that you don’t mess with humans!
:-)
Whoever this Scarlet is, I sincerely hope she has a very messy end….and I’d like to see Queen Jennah deal with her personally!

I have been wanting these to come back. The prices for them on TP has gone a bit silly, so I will be thankful for the opportunity to just buy these from the gem store myself.
Also…really hoping for some new ‘special’ dyes at some point.
You realize they weren’t guaranteed in the bundle. There was only a chance of the kit containing one of the new colours. If, then it will likely be sold like this again.

Ah I wasn’t aware of that o.O. Thanks for informing me.
I like cultural armor…cultural. It allows at least SOME degree of uniqueness in dress between the races.
ANet doesn’t want you to have all the things, just because you made a bunch of chars at release. Still, would have been nice to see some random mini-gifts so people could get different ones.
For me it would definitely be a wardrobe and housing/guild halls.

Not buying it. I purchased all three gathering tools, and was expecting to buy this. But as it’s basic, and costs 800 gems, I’m not touching it. I am somewhat relieved to be saving my money on this occasion.
And… This is everything? Looks like the smallest update this year.
According to data-miners, this update is bigger than is currently being revealed, so have some patience and wait and see.
Really glad to hear this: “Down with Culling!” I have disliked this for a long time, so finally it will be nice not to have people just randomly pop up beside you, but actually see everyone around.
well its a birthday gift, if you created your character a week after headstart would that mean you would get this birthday gift one week later than everyone else? becouse if thats so i dont realy see the problem.
It’s a problem for people who have been playing the game since launch but haven’t been playing the same characers since launch. If they awarded the present to an account on the account’s birthday, everyone would be awarded equally based on how long they’ve played. Because they award character birthdays, plenty of people who have played since launch will miss out because they deleted their original characters.
This is how it was in GW1. Were you not aware that characters had individual birthdays from date of creation? I only have one character that will be one year old, but I’ve known this would be the case since headstart.
Would be nice if people who started playing from day 1 would be acknowledged regardless of character ages, but alas that isn’t how it is.
I normally make my own omnom bars since I am usually in Orr so I can gather the berries, however the Crown Pavilion being the place to be at the moment means I really don’t feel like gathering what I need, it’s easier/faster to just buy them.
I am guessing this is possibly the same for other people too perhaps.
It’s not ideal, but I find this complaint really petty actually.
You wouldn’t if it had affected you personally. Everything is petty until you care about it. Small =/ petty, and this sort of situation would be really easy for anet to avoid in the future.
Kindly avoid making assumptions about me, as you actually don’t know how I respond to anything.
Adding my thanks too. This is my favourite update so far, it’s not perfect, it has it’s bugs however overall I really like this and so far have been having a lot of fun.
I actually like the balloons and the associated events that come with those. I love the Pavillion for obvious reasons, and really liking the story behind this as well.
The Royal Terrace is very handy, and the new masquerade masks in the gem store are really nice, exactly what I wanted for my mesmer. In fact, I got one for my thief too.
Just noticed the balloon achievement isn’t updating for me either. I still only have 1 showing as visited, even though I’ve visited a few balloon towers.
edit: someone posted about this: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/livingworld/jubilee/Bugged-Balloon-Tower-Tourist-dev-reminder
So why don’t you submit a support ticket, it’s not like us players can help you.
of course I already did, but since after 2 days I still didn’t get any reply, I also asked the forums.
Surprised you’ve not got a reply. When I put in a ticket yesterday about my gems not coming through, I got a response within three hours. The gems came through by themselves though.
I really wish ANet would just remove it, but of course, some people’s PC/laptops would probably die a horrible and painful death.
If you’ve been playing since release, then you should know by now to take the responsibility to inform yourself. I make a point of checking Reddit/GW2 everyday…only takes a few minutes.

To be honest, we’re talking about a game here. Games ARE one massive filler.
It wasn’t actually a day early, it was updated on the very day it would have been, just some hours earlier. But I guess it depends on what part of the world you’re in. I’m in the UK so for me, it was the same day it always is.
Whilst I won’t dispute some minor points the OP makes, I will respectfully disagree that it’s the worst, simply because like most things, this opinion is entirely individual.
For me Queen’s Jubilee is the best, Southsun being a very close second.
I like Lion’s Arch, but always appreciate things not being focused around that particular place. It is wonderful to have Divinity’s Reach and the human queen as the central attraction for once.
I really, really like Crown Pavillion….I don’t understand why we have to run to the exit to leave, why couldn’t there have been an exit button like instances have? But the buffs are much appreciated and I am a farm-junkie. I don’t care much for dungeons in any MMO truth be told, so I do like a good farming spot to get stuck into….and challenging farming, not players face-rolling over everything. Hence why I like Southsun as well.
I got my permanent torch, but would really have liked the opportunity to get one for each of my characters…so it would be nice to have things like this repeatable for alts too.
I like the Gauntlet, though mostly had a test run of it to check it out, I like it, but like some the dying outside of the arena is more of an inconvenience than anything.
Overall….I love it. For me: It is the BEST living story event thus far.
That doesn’t mean I don’t think OP’s opinion isn’t valid, I just don’t share that opinion.
Also….I am surprised Queen Jennah didn’t get a makeover. Her hair is common….Marjory and Kasmeer have unique hairstyles….but the Queen gets a common one. Nice :-P
(edited by PolarisNova.3867)
It seems like more than one per day. I got about 5 or so chests from killing champions, but then I suddenly noticed I stopped getting them.
My theory: Logan and Anise are lovers, and they killed Jennah months ago. Anise wears a wig and Jennah’s dresses for public appearances.
(not really, I love Queen Jennah :-P)
What is with people wanting Queen Jennah dead? What did she ever do to you?
You people make me laugh :-P You vote Kiel who is a do-gooder, but yet Jennah, the beacon of peace and unity, you want her assassinated. o.O
Without Jennah humans and charr would still be pushing each other to the edge of extinction.
Long live Queen Jennah!
If ANet kill her off, I am done. The human race is the only one that has really captured my heart.
Don’t actually understand the need to have this? Portals is a unique feature to mesmers, why change that?
The people that are complaining about all characters having access to the gold with this patch….you realise the bank was there for that reason, so that all characters can share/pass between them gold, so with this latest implementation, there is now no longer a reason to have that.
I understand the concern that you want each character to have their own little bit of spending money, but I really don’t think it’s a reason to quit the game over. You will adjust to it and quite possibly come to prefer it. Also, new players that join GW2 after this patch won’t miss what they didn’t experience, to them it will be easier for all their characters to be able access gold.
Purchased the Phoenix one….even though the Masquerade armor is still my favourite, I do like this one, so it’s a nice change.
Dear and sweetest Anet….I do love you.
My favourite city, and her dear majesty Queen Jennah in one update….marvellous.
I am pleased with this one, and those clockwork guards look pretty good.
Shook my head at the first reply in this thread…..Aion is better than GW2? I played Aion for a year and a half, and it was okay, but certainly in no way shape or form better than GW2 in any sense of the word.
Lotro is another favourite of mine, but for GW2 is the most fun and most fascinating MMO I have played yet.
I personally enjoy the mini games and jumping puzzles and think it’s somewhat strange to see people who say they DON’T play them, asking them not to be added. If they are added and you don’t play them, how does that affect you exactly?
Don’t forget there are a lot of people who are “completionists”. Using myself as an example, I don’t really like mini-games or jump puzzles, but have no problem with them being in the game when I can tackle them as quickly or as slowly as I wish. The problem with the constant temporary mini-games are we’re forced to focus on them immediately, and when they’re coming at you temp content after temp content… it’s no different from a completionist who may not run a lot of dungeons being tired of all the temporary dungeons (coupled with skins and achievements). Bottom line: I think people are tired in general of all the temporary anything with skins/titles/achievements. It’s good that there’s new content, but it honestly wouldn’t hurt to have downtime between each content release so people can catch up on whatever it is that appeals to them, especially when the playerbase tends to be more casual in nature.
I tend to be one of those who lean towards the completionist side as well…but I hold my hands up and say I can’t really do everything and that’s okay. I do what I can/and what interests me and leave the rest alone.
That said Mr.Dev I look forward to more awesome dynamic events. I also remember waiting at the lighthouse in Lion’s Arch waiting for what was coming, and I had a blast.
scratches head What are people talking about? Do you actually look around when you’re playing the game? I see tons of people playing. I think it’s time people stopped talking the game down in some twisted effort to convince people that actually enjoy it that there is something wrong with it.
I’ve played a few mmo’s and frankly GW2 is my favourite one out of all of them, no it’s not perfect, but NO game is.
I actually don’t really like Fractals all that much……and Abaddon would be THE thing to get me to play. Another asura related thing is just going to turn me off it even more.
To be honest, I really think sometimes you take ‘nice’ at face value. There are psychopaths who came across as nice and charming initially.
Gnash isn’t evil……..if you think so then you need a new definition of what evil actually means. He’s morally questionable perhaps, but then this is a game, and in a game I vote for who I find the most FUNNY and INTERESTING.
Still got lots of tokens to put into Evon’s box. I like Kiel, she’s nice and all that, but Evon just strikes me as more interesting.
I’m guessing it’ll be soon since they’re showing in the pvp locker, I really like the Phoenix (Kasmeer) armor, and I really want to see more armor designed along that elegant, really detailed vein.
That said, I am very much willing to put yet more gems down for it (I’m starting to consider myself a gem-store-holic – don’t know if that’s a good thing though).
However I know there are people who would prefer to earn skins in-game for a change.
I enjoy and look forward to the living story updates, honestly I look forward to every other Tuesday when we get to hear the details of what is coming the following week, however it would be nice to be able to support ANet by actually purchasing an expansion too one day.

That said, I can sort of understand why ANet may not leave the mini-games in permanently because, I can imagine that once people got their achievement points from them, most wouldn’t bother touching them again, so adding them every now and again keeps them fresh.
That said, I would like to see permanent, light and friendly mini-games in the cities. ANet said prior to release that there would be mini games in the cities…yet they were never added. I remember a video with a shot in Divinity’s Reach and people doing some sort of archery thing at that little place near the Busted Flaggon, yet it sits as decoration.
As I say, I enjoy the mini-games etc….and like them when they are added, however more meaty story….and MORE content that involves what is the best feature of this game (imo) which is dynamic events.
I feel as if dynamic events are not being utilised to their fullest atm in terms of the living story. Although that may well be, because when ANet tried it, people complained endlessly.
I actually agree with OP, seeing a wooden chest and then getting a support token in it is a bit of a downer. I have quite a few of them (they’ll be going to Evon), but I’d really prefer wooden chests are kept for normal rare loot, and not something like this. It’s not like I can make money from it :-P
Sorry, no. There’s just no more discussion to be had about it.
And yes, it is whining. You have guys throwing tantrums and saying they’re quitting altogether because of it. People saying they’ll never do Living Story again because they’re just gonna take their ball and go back home to Orr. People crying about how some meanie in the PvP area killed them.
You don’t think a kite should be in the EB JP? Fine. That’s your point, you made it a while back, game over. Sadly for you, the devs disagree, and it’s their game. They want to have stuff like this in all areas of their game. If a kite being in Obsidian Sanctum is really just too much for you to handle, then you’re not contractually obligated to keep playing, you can just move on.
So basically because of one JP people should just quit the game? No…I’ve been playing since beta, jumped into headstart and have purchased too many gems for me to bare thinking about. I enjoy and am passionate about this game, and yes I don’t agree with having a kite in the Obsidium Sanctum, however it would be pretty non-sensical to ‘move on’ from the game just because of that.
This isn’t ANet’s fault in entirety, it’s the people who just lack common decency really.
Can’t say I agree….I enjoy it, I think it’s a lot of fun. Plus I am happy I got the desert rose nods.
< Mango food and regeneration boost. Sorry, but I didn’t have the patience to do with without them. I likely would have become deranged and lost my mind otherwise.
