Best vid out of the rest, skillplay improved tremendously the last time we’ve fought.
Couldn’t really find much mistakes except maybe the blink ce on a line of warden, but the rest was amazing.
Things that I liked:
1. Sexy fgs fiery rush
2. Beautiful blink stomps
3. Rotations were amazing
4. Great burning speed blink combo’s
5. In the middle of bursting/rotation your ally went down and you were quick to react and get him back up

Isn’t that part of being a “roaming” group? Running around the map looking for good fights and always being aware of your environment? You guys just basically failed roaming 101.

By the way, wasn’t RIOT invited to beta test EOTM? You guys should know the map layout like the back of your hands (knowing which direction your enemies will likely come from).

Valid points. RIOT got beat there for sure. All is fair in the world of roaming. Should have re-grouped and re-engaged away from the champ.

Sorry, I was just somewhat put off by this guy with a great video series that has finely edited videos with wonderful tips, and then suddenly the next video in the series is a completely unedited “outnumbered vs RIOT…but not trolling”.

Because i’m the one who suggested to him that he should try making shorter videos. Joe likes to provide content within a week/two week time frame. It just so happened that we only got one good clip within 2 weeks of roaming. (tM/Holy kinda took a small break so we haven’t really been roaming together, maybe as duos only but not 5 mans.)

I’m assuming you tested this without bloodlust stacks or guard stacks. I know having 3 piece celestial makes me lose nearly 100 power (in exchange for an extra 3% crit damage and other stats). It may be a bit “cheesy” to some people but the reason for me having celestial gear is because I incorporated guard stacks into my build (250 vitality/100 power). This makes up for the loss of power. Otherwise without guard stacks I would’ve just went 3 piece Valk. I wanted to keep my armor near the 2800 mark while maintaining 125% crit damage and 40%+ crit chance at the same time. I couldn’t figure it out until I tested with celestial. Trying retesting this out incorporating those stacks? (I’m hoping it makes a difference)

P.S I didn’t do any spreadsheets or comparisons to other people’s builds. :| I only compared the build that I currently run now to the old build that I used to run

After watching your good play video, i have a question for you, how is it possible for you to tele down them?

What i mean by tele-stomp, is that you didn’t even have to be close to them or near them, to down them?

In other word, how can thieves down enemies during teleport?

No I have to get near them to start the stomp animation, then afterwards i can port away using a shadowstep, but before your stomp animation ends you have to port back with shadow return to pull off the stomp.

Probably stating the obvious, he was jumping in and out trying to “assassinate” targets… sometimes (1:30-1:40) he even came close to dieing, but he knew what to do and gtfo…. waited at low health to strike again when ready….

That’s some impressive play. Watched outnumbered 1 as well also and I guess I really need to start using food buffs because with similar stats I dont hit nearly as hard. Nice calm playstyle.

Im trying to build a little bit more toughness while keeping my crit chance near the 45% mark. Havnt done calculations yet but i’m thinking of replacing one of the rings with a cavalier one and replacing one of my accessories with a zerk one.

Did you have D/D, and then S/P on the weapon swap?
If so, there was a time when you were trying to get a stomp off on the ele at around 4:40 and the warrior was dealing lots of dmg. Could you have maybe used black powder to blind him while you got the stomp off?

I wanted to get the CnD off the warrior to stomp the ele but missed and was actually waiting for my initiative to regen to CnD again which was a really bad idea.

How much life do you usually get from Mug? I’m debating between 10 in Deadly Arts for mug or 10 in Acrobatics for Descent of Shadows. I’m currently level 38, but plan on making my Thief for WvW. Mainly do small havoc squads of 5 -10 people.

I get around 2k the max you can get from mug is somewhere near 2.7k I believe.
