Pros:

  • Full maps
  • Easier to level and do events
  • No more 2 guesting passes per day

Cons:

  • Can’t move the whole raid/guild/party in the same map from the get go.
  • Temples and the traits connected with them are not thought very well
  • RP is also screwed
  • Guild missions need revamp.So guilds don’t bump into one another
  • Also scaling makes 80s to OP and low characters under powered.

Because Anet are not capable of anything.

  1. Can’t overhaul old dungeons
  2. Can’t fix old dungeon bugs
  3. Can’t creat new instances because it is to much time consuming.
  4. Can’t balance the existing dungeon’s rewards
  5. Can’t make better telegraphed animations
  6. Every new patch returning old bugs,which were previously fixed
  7. Anet can only delete dungeons (like TA F/U)

Right now GW2 instances are the worst of every MMO that i have played.Making raids?Don’t make me laugh.I lost faith in Anet PvE team 4 months ago.

There are still 12 choices… not choosing something is not the same thing as no choice.

The old system had 2 PvP, 2WvW and 6 PvE ones.Now it’s 4 of each.
PvE players had a lot of choices… People in PvP and WvW had none.Now it’s 4 of each which brings the different mode on more equal footing.

The new system gives you 10AP for 3, plus additional rewards, plus a reward for just logging on. There is 4 PvE related dailys that are slighly more specific, you don’t have to step out of PvE to get your daily and you get more rewards.

Almost every MMO is not all of them have such meters.Only GW2 doesn’t have for some odd reason.

Now i know many people don’t want others to see their dmg.I do NOT suggest the numbers to be see by everyone.It should be only seen by the player and no one else.

I want to be able to see atleast my personal dmg.If i can’t see it how can i say build X is better from build Y with Z amount of dmg?
Or build X is better than guild Y with Z amount of healing done?

I want to practice on dummies different builds and to see which one is better with how much exactly is better.What spell with how much is increasing dmg.I want to see many other things too.

Edit 1:I will link here some things that can do a dmg meter

  • Damage Done- Damage done of course
  • Friendly Fire- Damage done from friendly targets to other friendly targets
  • Damage Taken- Damage taken
  • Healing Done- Healing done to others not including overhealing
  • Healing Taken- Healing taken not including overhealing
  • Overhealing – How much healing was done above the targets health
  • DOT Uptime- Time DOTS have spent ticking, the number in parenthesis is the average number of DOTs up at once
  • HOT Uptime- Time HOTS have spent ticking, the number in parenthesis is the average number of HOTs up at once
  • Dispels- The number of times a target has dispelled
  • Dispelled- The number of times a target has been dispelled
  • Interrupts- The number of times a target has interrupted someon
  • Activity- How much time has this target spent doing attacking/healing actions
  • Threat- The aggro that you take

Edit 2:The dmg meter should be for personal use only and not seen by anyone else.Also should be working only in the Mysts where are the test dummies.

Just now I’ve tried Tequatl for the 20th time in a row and for the 20th time (for me) in a row it has failed.
Success rate before Megaserver: 50%
Failure rate after Megaserver: 100%

Also the Worm.My guild can’t get all its members in the same map for the raid.To many pugs.To many randoms.It’s just not funny anymore.

The OP should ask himself the following question before making such statements – Is every content made for casuals?
Right now the worm is not hard if you have a dedicated server and guild focussed on raiding it.Desolation,Blackgate(servers) or TTS,TxS(Alliances) which are focused specifically on the PVE content with raid difficulty.The worm was killed by them at least once some have killed it even twice.

The real problem is the loot.The time and effort that you put in the fight is NOT equal to the reward.The loot is really bad.Rewards from the chests have to be buffed.Right now the loot table is worse from Tequatl’s.

He posts it because the PvE is a piece of crap right now.It needs huge revamp.From better telegraphed animations to everything else that OP posted.I like his ideas a lot.

Just compare how detailed are Wildstar Animations to GW2….The comparison is just ridiculous.
Also compare the mechanics of the Wurm and Tequatl to every raid boss in Wildstar…GW2 is just patheticly behind.
Why do i compare those two games?Because they both are action oriented.Nothing that one has the holy trinity and the other doesn’t.

At this moment everything can be dodged and there is no need of interrupts in PvE.Anet have to think for some way to add interrupting as a viable mechanic.For instant those instant killing attacks that some mobs have.Let them be interuptable.Also make them more frequent so people have to work together for removing the defiance and timing the next interrupt if they don’t they don’t want to die.

Grind is repetitive content done for whatever purpose.

Legendary weapons are not a grind because they don’t force you to do repetitive contents to get them.

Making a Legendary is a time sink. Your suggestion is grind.

This is the most ridiculous double-talk I’ve ever seen. Legendary Weapons in GW2 are a grind. You’ll be hard pressed to find any forum discussion about them that doesn’t say “grind” or “farm” in it. They are slightly less grindy than they used to be, but this doesn’t change the fact that at their core they are designed to be a ridiculously large item and time sink.

Where do you think all the Lodestones come from? From playing “how you want?”

Also about the farm.There is a lot of farm if you want anything.Yes you can not do any of the linked things but then i will ask why do people even play GW2.In the game there is almost 0 chalenge with loot nerfed to the ground.Everything being RNG based….

Why no mounts?

First you should write this in the suggestion forums.
I don’t want mounts for one simple reason.It takes developer time which can be used somewhere else.There are a lot better and more important things to do/fix before mounts ever see the light.I want the time developers spend to be on something more usefull.

With how waypoints currently work i don’t need and I don’t want mounts.That is my personal opinion only.

When i’m in a map and i’m porting from one waypoint to the nearest waypoint it’s instant so why would i want mount?If mounts are added they must not be faster than your normal swiftness running speed.I don’t want mounted players to have an advantage from the running ones.

Also if they are ever added in the game i don’t want them usable nor in the cities nor in the dungeons.It will be too overcrowded.
This is coming from a person who had 143 mounts when i was still playing WoW at the end of Cataclysm.I was,I am and I will be a mount loverI just don’t see their use right now in the game.

What i may want is an improved logging screens when i port from other map and removing the need to enter through logging screen when i pass on foot from one map to other.Keep the overflow but hide the logging screen.Now that will improve my playing time.Even if mounts are added logging screens will still bother me if they stay like this

I will beat that dead horse again and again until it stays in da freeking grave!

One more time yesterday the Worm failed because the randoms who were with our raid group at Cobalt couldnt kill it.People even tell in Say/Map chat what has to be done.But that is not helping at all.We explain more than enough.But Pugs either don’t know the tactick or are there only for achievement or just don’t care.
The Mega server is really screwing 120+ people that before were killing the Worm every day.

TxS members spent time learn the fight.Every one of us know the tactick and then we wipe only because there isn’t a proper instance for us.Every our member is pulling his/her weight and then some uncontrollable individuals show up and screw with our raid…I’m speachless.

the dungeon community is the most hostile, most unfriendly, most eager to kick community in this game, and their is almost no fixing that. one of the only ways to be safe in a long run is to be the opener. this update will only give dungeon elitists more power to kick the person WHO STARTED THE PARTY. this update is just going to make them more hostile and aggressive and now theirs no protection from that.

its also a problem for dungeon sellers who can now be kicked by the buyer although i dont really like runners anyways.

i dont wana play the meta, i dont always wana roll swamp i dont wana keep a set of full zerker armor to do the catacombs and i dont wana rush past every enemy in the game just to quickly do the boss chest. and now their is no way for me to safely join a dungeon. you have taken away one of the only things i still do in this game anet.

SOLUTION
make it so the dungeon does persist if the owner goes offline and they can be kicked after being offline for a set amount of time (lets say 5-10 mins?) but the dungeon will NOT persist if they are kicked

Dungeon owner is just the worst thing that could ever happen to an MMO.

  • Why one person should be protected and 4 other no?
  • Why the group has to be on a mercy on 1 persone?
  • Why if someone goes afk and is being just boosted for free to not be able to be kicked only becasue he opened?
  • Why if the opener dc/goes offline to not be able to be kicked?

None other MMO has such kittened system like the dungeon owner that inclusde GW1 too.This system just had to goWhat Anet has to do is to increase the votes for kicking to 3 and if anyone is kicked his party chat to not get deleted

As I mentioned in my thread on the topic, it would be great to have the number of needed kick votes increased to 3, to minimize griefing resulting from this change. Personally I always started my own dungeon parties to avoid kick-happy couples. Now there’s nothing to kep me safe. 2 votes have always been a bad idea, anyway. Not even a majority.

I actually agree with you. I would have liked to increase the vote count a majority with this change, but unfortunately not all the pieces of code around party votes are set up in a way to make this a quick and easy change.

We were aware of this issue, but felt that holding back an improvement to the base experience on account of trolls was unfair to users that are playing nice.

Stealing instances using the LFG tool, or booting people for no reason (or to give your buddy the rewards for no work) at the end of a run are bannable offenses and should be reported.

Having a game message inform you that abcd.1234 joined your party (so that you have their account name) and saving party chat would both be features that allow us to report griefers more consistently.

It is know that some griefers have been reported hundreds of times with no ban being handed out.

If the party kicks are not increased then i i agree with this poster.We need some kind of protection against griefing.And his suggestion is good enough.

Guesting is not ruining the game.I never have been in an overflow after the patch and i play on a high server.There are just a lot more people doing open world events.That is the new monthly’s trend.The dungeons are not crawling with people as they used to be.

Here is a screenshot from my yesterday Tequatl kill.The map was filled with random pugs.If you look at the 2nd screenchot you will notice why i say this is a Pug map.(Semi organised map)Half the zerg is dead,but we still were able to finish it wiht 5 minutes spare time.

Too many people are still used to the old Teq and try to do the same thing over and over again but that no longer works.So they fail miserably.

Yea there are quite a ’’few’’ changes

  • Fractals of the Mists
  • Tequatl Revamped and new World boss add(They need coordination unlike the rest of the World bosses.You can’t just zerg them).I finally started raiding again.I found a raiding guild and now every day i raid with it.Before this update i was really missing the raiding aspect.
  • New WvW map is added you should throw it a look.

Cash shop is end game. Everything else is so frustrating or unrewarding that it’s simpler to buy what you want.

Don’t listen to him.The gem shop has only fluffy stuff in it.

Thank you Anet for the great game you gave me.
I don’t see why you must be rewarded with gear for doing something.That is why i like mortal combat,supper mario and counter strike.Because i do them for fun.Not because they will improve my gear so i can one shoot people.
For 1st time i’m really enjoying a MMO that is not based on WoW’s gear treadmill.
For 1st time i’m doing something that i find fun and exciting.
For 1st time i’m not doing things for improving my ilvl gear.
For 1st time i’m actually doing dungeons not because they will improve a lot my gear but because i like the challenge and the fun they bring me.
For 1st time I appreciate the money.I was sooooo excited when i made my 1st gold.
For 1st time I have a reason to be out in the world.Seeing things jumping at rocks.Climbing jumping puzzles.
I like to have a choice.In games like Everquest,WoW,Rift,SWTOR,Tera and other similar MMOs you level as fast as possible so you can start doing the end game.
For 1st time I actually don’t hurry for anywhere.Because what i do at level 1 i’ll do at level 80 too.
For 1st time i’m not bound to raids or battlegrounds,because in GW2 you have many kinds of farming curencies which reward similar loot.And that is something i love.If you are casual and dungeons are hard for you,you can always go farm events and DE for karma.If you hate open world you can go farm WvW for different currency but the same reward.
For 1st time i have a choice what in what i want to do and what to farm.
For 1st time my gear is not the most important thing for me.
I really have forgotten what joy meant in a MMO which was not base on a gear.And i actually like to be not dependant on gear stats.
So thank you Anet for your game

New trait system promotes power creep and is terrible.

he only people who like this are those running OP meta builds. Or PvE players who want to melt world bosses even faster so they can have more time to Silverwaste train.

Anet had no hope of balancing with just two GM’s…now we have three? Yeah, NO ONE saw problems a mile away from that!

Meta builds are the core of the MMOs 85% of the playerbase uses them.Everything else is a niche.

  • More PvP modes and maps
  • Re-design the down state.Don’t let in PvP and WvW people to rally.When soomeone is stomped he mustn’t be ressable.If he is just killed and not stomped then he can be ressurrected.
  • Add new WvW map.
  • Add more guild missions.
  • Revamp the squads.Give leaders more controll over them.In other MMOs i can see where are the people.Who is arround me.Who has buffs,potions,food.Add squad UI that could be shown/hidden.
  • Allow squad leaders to promote assistans.Give them the ability to move the players between the different groups.To sort the squad the way they want.Right now when i go to a Wurm kill.My leader has to make straight lines of different classes and form different groups by picking the players one by one.
  • Revamp the SE – P2 and last boss in CM P2.
  • Buff the rewards for TA:A and and FotM(gold and skins).
  • Buff the final gold reward for HotW.
  • Return TA -F/U with revamped last boss.
  • Add one more World Boss from the difficulty of Tequatl and the Wurm.(7 months past without any new raid boss).
  • Buff the rewards from Tequatl and Wurm.
  • Add the Temples to World boss current timer and rotation.
  • Re-design the downscaling.Make it harder for lvl 80 ascendet/exotic geared players.
  • Make the mini map to disapear.Right now i hate it that i can’t hide it.
  • Make an option to be able to toggle up health bars above peoples heads.Right now i can only turn on names.That’s not enough.
  • Revamp defiance.Make an attack that can’t be dodged/blocked/parried/reflected.The only possible way to stop it is by interrupting it.After that people have to remove defiance stacks with cc before they are hitted by the same attack.At this moment almost 90% of the bosses don’t need to be CCed,because you can avoid every their spell with simple dodge/block/parry.Make one that can’t be done that way.That way the group has to interrupt the boss and then if they don’t want to be hit again they have to remove the defiance stacks and interrupt again.And repeat that untill the boss is dead.
  • Make boss’s animations more visible and telegraphed.
  • Add more mechanics for cc cleansing in PvE.
  • Remove the stacking in dungeons.
  • Revamp the dodge.Instead of mobs hitting instantly like it is now give me time to press 2 buttons(W+dodge/S+dodge/D+dodge/A+dodge) so i can move in the direction that i want.

I for once am really happy with the Mega servers.No more empty maps
About the lag.You can always turn off character limit and model.
Put settings on Low for World bosses and such.Even my 5 year old computer handles them fine on medium settings.

PvE Dueling

Sorry but i won’t support Open World dueling.If dueling is added it should be allowed only in the Mists or OS.Those are the two PvP areas that should let you fight other players.I don’t like the idea to fight in the PvE areas.
Splitting PvE/PvP/WvW is great and i like it that way.Don’t try to fix something that isn’t broken.The PvE is fine as it is.PvP should stay in WvW/sPvP

99% of the player base will disagree with all your sugestions.You are the minority here.Also be greatful that there isn’t an inspect option.Linking what items you are wearing can be bypassed.Inspecting your items and build direcltly can’t be avoided if it was in the game.

What you want is not the same thing as what i want.Don’t try to enforce your point of view.

This is a good idea but needs to be introduced slightly different, I’d say once you acquire dungeon master title, this idea should be a perk of the title to make it more valuable to go after.

We Want Mounts!!!

I don’t want mounts for one simple reason.It takes developer time which can be used somewhere else.There are a lot better and more important things to do/fix before mounts ever see the light.I want the time developers spend to be on something more usefull.

With how waypoints currently work i personally don’t need and I don’t want a mount.When i’m in a map and i’m porting from one waypoint to the nearest waypoint it’s instant so why would i want mount?If mounts are added they must not be faster than your normal swiftness running speed.I don’t want mounted players to have an advantage from the running ones.
Also if they are ever added in the game i don’t want them usable nor in the cities nor in the dungeons.It will be too overcrowded.

This is coming from a person who had 143 mounts when i was still playing WoW at the end of Cataclysm.I was,I am and I will be a mount loverI just don’t see their use right now in the game.

What i may want is an improved logging screens when i port from other map and removing the need to enter through logging screen when i pass on foot from one map to other.Keep the overflow but hide the logging screen.Now that will improve my playing time.Even if mounts are added logging screens will still bother me if they stay like this.
