4 seconds is to much, that is the total time of the fight, or combat will be even over before that, stability to use an elite wont help much since stability gets overwhelmed easilly, and it is hard to end the cast time when it is needed, if not impossible to cast it.
Signet also needs to put players in first place instead of minions and pets.

Anet consistenly nerfing thieves and buffing other classes in pvp that thief degradated to a pet and is simply close to unplayable. HoT doesn’t bring any more hope. DrD is garbage from pvp perspective. I do have HoT for one of my accounts but i am really thinking about asking for refund.
HoT are classes designed for PVE, and the bad balance towards making game more comercials and easy for every one to get kills by just picking certain builds, is making a huge gap on classes builds.
That is also another reason im delaying HoT.

Scraper looks awesome but those cool drone will be useless on aoe fight, and gw2 is only about AOE….
I think that thematically speaking gyros are fine, please notice the word “thematically”, now after a glance I think that they going to need some work, I really easy way to improve the gyros viability is making it invulnerable to damage(…) (beside sneak gyro).
That hardly changes, SW never got fixed….will happen de same to gyros.

Overall state of the game, i migh get Hot in 8+ months after release just to try a scraper, since i dont like gw2 pve, and DH does not seems like a elite spec for my guardian(motly like another class to easilly die in AOE, or get forced to play medi bow gs builds).

Solution would be bring back hexes, and make conditions to pressure just like we had in Gw1, altough they were really strong on team spikes.
In gw2 lore hexes were forbiden so Anet is making the lack of hexes damage on condi spam(while ignoring game balance).
More team play instead one class do it all…

Stealth is fine, the problem is that some classes/builds do to much w/o sacrificing to much.
@Mercurias.1826 at spvp when i find a sw guardian it is a dammn joke, SW wont hit 1 one time, they die with 2 hits, bad ai, on wvw they are even more useless and easier to kill/ ignore.
On WvW all it is needed is 1 AOE / red cirle skill and 3 SW are down, by the time ur trying to cast a SW it is a perfect time to get bursted and killed (at least is what i do).
Even if SW get back to how they worked, by not being damaged, it is easy to kite avoid/ignore those skills while fighting it, they are slow, they tend to run out of combat, and any player with speed trait will outrnun a SW.
SW are to weak overall,they can burst hard but only works against AFK players and mobs.
Only decent skills is SoA, but even that i know a way where dome will not be proced and guardian will be in trouble, it is a skill easy to make it dormant (this behavior never got fixed and as being talked in forum also).
Mercurias.1826, sorry Merc but players getting in trouble by SW are even worse than a player using them, they will not work if fighting against a mediocre player (i iam a mediocre lvl player, against better players a guard with SW gets obliterated).

I feel like it the server lag thing really increased with the stab change, its probably more due to the play style the changes made. Everyone just sits back waiting to try to get a range bomb off and engagements last longer and often don’t have a conclusion. Plus, it really rewards blobbing.
Maybe change playstyle. Enemy just outplay you if you just follow commander and try to run through cc. I wanna see day when all this melee train follow commander nonsense lead wipe every time.
See thats my point though.. In order to change play-style, you end up just sitting back range bombing and CCing until one group shows they are a lot larger than yours. I Think thats a poor system, especially considering how imbalanced server population is.
Reason why DH exist, so guardian can no longer go front line, every one uses range builds.
Working as intend no balance needed, everyone change do DH, statistics prove DH is a crowd pleaser.
In resume, basically medi-GS builds work.. I am having a huge problem becouse i can only be effective with a medi-gs build based to… and i hate to play medi.
Wonder why Anet makes classes with 1 optimal build and the rest barelly works…

There is an overlay mod for Gw2 that makes accurate Aim System like it’s in TERA Online.
one thing I don’t really get from anet is limiting number of targets that can be hit by aoe skills.
Why not allow people to hit as many targets as many jump under your blade?

Yeah, off-topic but I love doing this. You can almost see the horror on the Thieves face when you walk into the middle of his Shadow Refuge and pop Shield 5. Normally they panic :p.

Guardians could have a trait that would give more an advanced shield dome on SoA, i would not mind to loose the detonation since anything that makes class stationary into one place means prepare all player blocks and dodgerolls, incomming tons of red simbols/spiked aoe arround the stationary player, mobility+damage makes classes win, so why have skills that punishes more than it helps with that stationary scarifice, what a guardian sacrifices isnt balanced for what he is doing, one of the reasons shield isnt good, it is a very weak option in everything.
I would request some condensing in some shield skills, and add more team support oriented traits to shield dome.

Another thing is the block for +X stat, why would i wanted plus x stat if heavy hit got already blocked and that toughness will not help in the next skills that will hit.
Cant that be aplyed to the players inside dome or some X damage redution.

@shadow, origin country form that player and the country he actually is playing from, esl might assumed that as fake nationality or wrong one, on EU, they state that it can be proved by documents.

It’s been changed to Feel My Wrath when the trait system changed. It was so that skills fit better under their “type” brackets and so that traits can be more easily associated with them.
I main guardian and I’m so grateful for this change. All of the other elites were pretty “meh” beforehand, only Renewed Focus was ok. With the short CD, Feel My Wrath is super useful, especially in group content.

Tomes also had their problems, meanning a good way to fix several issues is to change to something that can be taked into a fight and have a good effect.They weren’t doing the same thing though. I can’t bombard a battlefield with holy fire with “Feel my wrath”, I could with “Tome of Wrath”, it also gave some limited ranged capabilities to a class that’s somewhat lacking in that regard. I actually downed a fair number of people with it.
The two are about as different as mirror image and decoy are for mesmers.
well for tome of wrath yes, the change is a complete new skill, as for holy fire being holy, that is not what we had, just some diferent color for guardian fire, it would be nice if it was a diferent condi form fire, it could be tweaked independently from common fire.
DH don’t have traits like “% of precision, power into vitality” no 25% moving traits, no real condi synergies, no real condi dmg, no “increasing power, critical chance” when you apply condition or something, it’s just dull like you wield a LB and thats it. Dudue who invented DH had no vision at all, it’s like taking traps and longbow and ta-da you have dragonhunter. It’s the worst spec of them all. Its fun at start but when everyone start to melt you down like ice cream then its not fun anymore. I see lots of weekend warriors saying its fun, yes its fun for you but for us that really care for guardians in pve,pvp and wvw its not that fun at all. “we are in a good spot” is destroying guardians because there are no efforts to make us viable and better in some situations.
Wasnt that what longbow guardians wanted? just a blant class that needs to shoot from range based on high AA damage, like some classes were being played at that time?
Altough:
Dragonhunter Heavy Light — Longbow arrows knock back when enemies are within the range threshold.
More range meta, for sure it will be nerfed, since every class will complain that DH can put out of capture point…
Also this means more condi range will be very good against that class unless speced with some shout but even that is easy to burn (with the actual game).

@GrandHaven.1052, i know but atm with HoT at peeking at the door does not worth make those updates, game might look a bit “broken” atm but making updates now before a expansion does not make sense, and uses resources, that migh be necessary in other developments.
Even after HoT will take time for a big patch to hit the game, we might see some fixes on the most seriously bugs, like skill effect takes Xmore hits or less instead of what was intended etc.
It is understandable.
@EnderzShadow.2506, play cheese and learn to play(use well burst and evades, know how to condi pressure) you will find youserlf in the other side, the wining side.
There are a few classes that can fit almost all roles, players just need to open their eyes.
D/D eles feel (are a bit) OP, becouse in every class theres a niche of weapon skill that are better than the rest of the class itself, and alot that underperforms.
It is the awfull class evolution we have seen, what was not working now is even more useless due how easy to tune up for a good output damage (guardian SW die even faster as a good example).
If other classes were strong as a D/D each own on their “feeling of aptitude” game would be much more interesting has we could have more strategies and more team build diversity.
Iis not a D/D ele problem, it is the problem of how classes are beign designed, and not envolving (hope it changes with HoT).
If that’s your opinion, why continue playing what you think is bad/inferior/ect?
I guess you are the one that likes “we are in a good spot” theme for guardians and “if you don’t like it go play some other class”.
I want to improve this class, we are falling behind rapidly to other classes. I don’t live in same universe with you where guardian is dd cele ele or something srry. saying we are fine wont help us either. I see you are burn guard so you were buffed a lot but wait until they nerf burning than you will change your story quickly.
Ragnarox, Ghost might have a point there, as many of us would like to see guardian feeting several roles, and see useless utilities start to showing in combat, that is not how this game is being worked, if u notice Anet only know the existence of GS fire medi guard, so only that and DH will work, i still have no problems downing bunker guards in spvp it is a sorta placebo build and will only work in very few situations, i had to face and change to what works best, gw2 players need to be clever and see what is the flavour class Anets “makes best” for the momment .
Players still need to see the changes that the other specs will bring to the game.
And yes i find Guardian more gimmicky(all a player needs is to know when to use JI and GS WW, output damage on this game is very easy to tune it up) and everything outside that is weaker, we gain few and lost alot.

So PvP is still a mess.
Wasn’t there gonna be balance patches every 2 weeks?We had ONE minuscule balance patch and a few bug(extremely little) fixes.
Well for some this 3-5 seconds combats are being awesome…..just get in the flow and play what is super efective, balance will come if every one “forcedly” plays those specs.
As a guardian with mace/shield, id loose to anything range and mobility (everyone excep guards and some necros), if i aint using medi guard i shall be prepared to loose.
Just to think i could face DD eles before patch and stall most combats on camps, and now i cant do nothing no matter the combos i try with that weapon set.. Ç_Ç,
By the other hand on my engie combat has become much easier, reason i moving it to main.

Well first of all this isn’t oppression or a communist state so you can tone it down a bit. Secondly, WvW isn’t modeled after real war it’s modeled to provide interesting decisions as often as possible.

WVW isnt modeled after real war.. who in is mind build towers on valleys and with several higher hills, and a ton of gates that where some will not get covered, to make the job very easy to the enemy?
WvW map design was really awfull with the cap and leave shrine system.
WvW is modeled to be fast, repetitive, and very easy, like Alliance Battles were.

Advice make a engi and try to play some builds, it is what i am doing to learn to counter the class.
sidenote: the funny thing is im bloing most guards very fast, even bunkers :|
Noticing bunkers are mostly (more than)useless when alone, so play always with a team mate or nearby one.
I dont know why players play it when there are classes that do better and can still burst quite decently.
The main issue is that, the bigger the zergfight gets the more walls and feedbacks you encounter. This means that the engi becomes less usefull as the scale of the fight goes up.
It is really cool tho if you happen to shoot over a refelction wall. xD
Dont shoot, throw nades in a condi build, flamethrower this 2 avoids WoR.
WoR is easy to kite, also any guard who stands in a midle of one for sure want a aoe spike, it will not survive….

So does every other multiclass game that ever existed. Disingenuously posting in an effort to apply Anet has made some unique error sure doesn’t strike me as a particularly intelligent way to go about inspiring them to take your suggestions into consideration.

Gw2 had always cheap tricks.
Even on gw1 the gimmicks required more team work and some decent players.
Im not trying to inspire them nor they need that, it is a fact and points that people talk to me when they ask me what game im playing, some were players that left gw2 because it was a total disillusion, some went back to gw1, some are willing to try due the graphics but ended quitting.

Drop your class or play a condi fire guard, or play like me a condi engie(it melts every one who comes at melee range even bunkers lol), was working on D/D but got bored of lvl it :\….
When the new player notices that they are forced to play in 1 way and only one way to be effective, all i can say is i hope it change to a a game that requires brains

IMO confusion/torment stacks is just as bad as all the burn stacks flying around.
Comon… good players are the ones that use it, that is what gw2 is about.
It is clever to notice what anet makes op and easier to kill the “bad players” (players that dont follow the easy path).
When u see a group of D/D (5-6 of them, with condi engie, condi necro, pu mesmers and those super stealthy condi thiefs).

We currently have huge issues with Server Stacking….and Stale Match-Ups…and WvW communities dying off.

@Diku, some of your points would made guilds trying to queue to atack the more emptier servers, idk, theres something in this game that i dont understand it is it’s repetivness/redundancy.
Being a game based on reset every week with copy paste maps (huge population gaps) kinda demoralizes by doing every week the same thing over and over and over and over again…
What they need is to introduce a new mechanics server/map where every can see each other (end EOTM shards and use its resources), and each globe as its own territory by X maps, alliances could be forged to deffend and atack etc.
Reduce to 8-10 servers (if needed) add more themed maps per server..

it looks like the old t3 when nsp was there with 10-15 max peek? fighting fa or sos when they were full staked ?
Same goes on T4, hord of denravi blobs at minor swords
, about ET they seem to same numbers as NSP but with diferent time zone.

Thieves are actually fine. It’s just a lot of thief players expect to be able to instantly down people without any risk to themselves. So when their fragile builds fail, they come here to complain about things being OP. It’s just more of the attitude of “My build is supposed to beat X” that is so prevalent here.

That is becouse game is not ment to be balanced, “metas” just shift from one class to another, players need to be clever and follow that.
That would make sense if this game had 100 classes (some of them similar) like mobas but it doesn’t. Having 2-3 classes overperforming while every other struggles to be viable in a game that has very few classes on first place is just garbage balance strategy and leads to majority of players being disappointed with game and quiting.
Saddly that is GW2, it is not even the rock, scizor paper effect
It was lesser noticable on gw1 because pvp had a 8 spot team and larger maps with diferent gameplay, and gimmick still harder to pull due how game worked, still gw1 also had a bit of that.

+ for the F4 and 25% movement speed and if you use that virtue it slows enemies for 2 sec with 30 sec cd.
traps are bad and visible – need change

trait – need changewe were the first spec shown and we are last in usefulness and will be least played if something doesen’t change
Traps in general are the worst Utility Skill Class ingame, not used by thiefs and rarely by rangers. They have bad effects and i personally would never use a trap compared to my meditations or shouts.
They are pve mostly skills, they will probably work on a large blob of DH and condi ranger trappers spamming all their stuff in lords room or momments before a enemy zerg breaks the gate.
I dont mind the bow as much i dont like it either but it is a game design problem that will make DH only good if bow will have a supbar AA damage.
Also traps are not the best choices of design(due how other classes mobility will make them almost useless) could had the momment to bring old stuff implemented as new like the wards wich would fit better in class….
Mounts as tools, from Guild specializations :| for pve and wvw???
Helis, vehicles, charr panzers, airships….new class/specializations with possible mount…
….it it not that the game needs mount, becouse it doesnt need them but IF would turn into a factor of funnier mechanics and new stuff why not???
