I heard you can get Ascended items by completing/holding all of the Cathedral event on Orr. Once they’re all open, at the same time, we all Ascend to some other game.

And don’t mention Orr. Orr is also /thread.

What Edge said (and Eirik). Anet seems to be hell bent on pissing off every single remaining player in this game, the casual players at the very least. I personally hate these fractals as much as I hate the rest of the dungeons in this game.

Interesting concept. Haven’t run into that problem yet.

As for the level 80 thing, it’s about equipping better gear. Your character is down-leveled for the dungeon but your armor and weapons are not. I’ll go with anyone at the level for story line runs, but I hate explorable and won’t go unless people are level 80 with at least rare gear equipped.

I hope I’m not sounding elitist about this. I just hate dungeons to begin with and I don’t want to spend more time than I have to in them.

What Cargan said in Spades. I’ve played free for all MMO before and the cellar dwellers will make life as unpleasant as possible for anyone and everyone. With visible names the forums would be even less pleasant.

On the other hand I would love to see a wide open Battle Royal instance map that resets hourly. There should be a buy-in to get in and the prize is divided among the survivors. Terrain, or gladiator ring? Both! But die once and you sit out until the next reset.

There could be some interesting guild tactics arise of that. That would be guild wars.

Also, 1v1 with spectators would most certainly be popular with guilds. Guilds could run their own tourneys, and teach builds/skills etc. Gladiator ring would be fine, but practice zones of the usual maps would help too.

In short, anything to get people playing more PvP.

I do play WvW sometimes. You could of explained that instead of saying “oh you don’t play WvW at all”. I suppose I could see that being a problem but why isn’t the zerg res’ing you before they move on, if they survive? That is poor attitude on the other players.

It wasn’t my zerg that ran over me and left me for dead.

Aion for one, and yes it causes bag space problems, but publishers love to sell bag space.

It’s an annoying fact of life that some skills have very different rules for LOS. I am by no means an expert on them all but the various pull skills are a good example. I can be standing on the wall of a keep in a spot where my staff skills are obstructed, but that doesn’t stop those on the ground from pulling me off the wall. This happens even when I’m well back using an arrow cart or other siege.

What auto loot issue? Hitting F and getting the loot works for me. That’s the way it works in other MMOs too. You right-click lootable corpse, get loot. Auto loot just means no loot window comes up. So in that aspect, auto loot seems to be working as intended at least for me.

There are plenty of games where loot goes straight to your bag, and I can tell you don’t play WvW at all. Nothing is more infuriating in that part of the game than to see your loot bags on the ground around you once the zerg has moved on, and you’re dead and can’t get them.

My simple question didn’t get answered either, despite that it’s been asked here many times as well. Are they planning a fix on the auto-loot function that doesn’t auto-anything at all.

30 minutes is just fine, particularly when you consider how hard it is get a party in the first place. I don’t want to spend my entire gaming time just to get one dungeon run per night.

Mesmers also have “illusion of life” for a quick pick up. It’s actually an area effect and allows 15 seconds of life.

If I could find a regular group of players for paid tourneys I would be there like a bad penny, particularly on those weeks when we’re getting rolled in WvW and the dingbats insist on auto-attacking the castle just because they now have a keep and 3 towers.

That being said, I’m certain it is not “Tournaments finished in 1st place”, but “Tournament fights won.”

I got 2 wins tonight finally, but then our wannabe elite did a rage quit at losing the 3rd match (and losing the tournament). I’m actually working harder and staying in longer at this than the wannabe elites who can pick their parties.

It’s annoying.

I have tried a couple of times to do that but it went nowhere with the people in the Heart of the Mists. I don’t even have one from my friends/guildies to join me to start such a party. It would be nice, but it’s not there.

It’s not really one big issue. It’s a whole bunch of little ones that add up to a problem for casual players.

Edit: See, all I had to do was complain about it. Sure enough, along came a guy looking for an annoying clone factory to fill out the party, so I was in and got 2 of the matches I needed. Of course that guy rage quit on the 3rd match after a couple people made a couple mistakes.

The lack of tolerance from some of the elitist kittenholes is disappointing.

Yeah, it’s a sob story but it’s getting pretty annoying. Basically there is a huge skill gap between people in the PvP browser, and those in the tournaments, free or paid doesn’t matter.

My biggest problem with it is that most of my friends aren’t interested in PvP and a few don’t even do the daily achievement. So I’m forced into PuG play in the tourneys and we always seem to be up against organized groups, and that’s when I can get a match at all.

People building parties are usually looking for specific characters and builds to fill out the party, and if you don’t match what they’re looking for you don’t get an invite. Ok, those are probably the guys winning the tourney but it doesn’t give the rest of us a lot of encouragement to continue.

I really would like to be able to finish the monthly but it’s not looking good.

Between people leaving the game and the Fractal Fanboys off doing their thing, I can’t even get a party together to play a tournament. So much for the monthly achievement.

And when the game isn’t fun anymore?

Piano lessons are looking like more fun that this.

I could give less of a kitten about the GW1 high end tier areas. I never really played that game. That experience means nothing to me. NOTHING. From what you are telling me so far, I’m glad I didn’t go there.

Speak for yourself, just as I am doing for me. I don’t want to do this sort of horsekitten. Give me 5 trebuchets and I’ll line them all up for my WvW group, all on target and tell you the power you need to use. That’s what I’m good at, and that’s what I enjoy. There are a lot of things I enjoy in this game, but this isn’t it.

I don’t want to fall to my death, EVER! That cliffside thing? Never again. A jumping puzzle as a fractal? I don’t do them in the real game. In a dungeon? NEVER! So, tone it down.

I don’t want to swim through deep caverns with no access to the surface, and I have over 2k dives in my log book. There is a reason why I don’t go to places like that, and what’s more, jellyfish don’t hunt. So, tone it down.

The other 4 I’ve done so far were pretty much non-obvious how to solve. They just took far too freaking long, for no really good reason. You can tone that down too.

One of those story lines wasn’t even difficult, but turned my Norn Nordic Goddess Mesmer into a Charr. I can’t even ask why. Anet did it because they could, but that’s not how I want my character to look.

And last but not least, I didn’t post this as an invitation for a discussion so could a mod please close this and forward the feedback to anyone who might even remotely care about this situation. Maybe the janitor. He probably like the left over cupcakes from Reddit.

Like the line says, never mind the minimum.

Your progress bar should allow you to participate in higher level fractals (but who in their right mind would want to?), not the other way around where you don’t progress except to play in your level. Of course progress should be slower if you stayed in the lower frames, but people could get parties again.

No brainer really, but in the mean time please tone it all done a TON. I hate your dungeons. All of them.

No, but I’ve done it to a couple of people. Definitely a giggle for me, but I’m sure it’s not fun looking like shark food.

I’m curious though, how did you find the right mesmer after release? In that time I can easily put up 3 clones while swimming circles around you, if I don’t shatter them on your tail fin first.

The details on this just get better every day.

I haven’t been in the dungeons since about the 2nd or 3rd week of the game. They aren’t fun. In fact they are too kitten difficult by half, you die way too often, they take way too long, the bosses have too many hit points by half, the loot is crap, and then there are the bugs.

They simply aren’t worth the time and effort, and these new fractals aren’t any better. In fact, now they are level based dungeons and finding a group is even harder, not that I had any interest in going there to begin with.

And after all that, I’m sure as hell not getting on a gear treadmill, just like I’m not going chasing after a Legendary weapon. All of these problems go directly against what we were told was the philosophy behind this game.

Casuals and Elites can play the game equally? No we can’t, and the dungeons are a perfect example of that.

I don’t like the dungeons in this game to begin with. I’m not going to go anywhere in a game where I’m going to die multiple times before getting to the end. I don’t grind on the Orr maps for the same reason.

The dungeons here are simply too kittening hard. They take too long and the loot is such utter crap that they aren’t worth to do, and these fractals are the same kitten on a different day. This isn’t fun.

Monthly pvp achievement is a joke, really you can do it in 1 day without problem.

3 tourny wins is a bit of a problem. PuGs for tourny are not a good idea.

I like to tinker with clothes and such for a unique look. At the moment I’m really disappointed about a nice set of boots for a human female Ele.

Same. There are over 400 comments in the thread too so I would have thought they would go fast. Not one single person messaged me an email address.

Even on Reddit. Not one single person whispered me asking for an invite and all of my friends who were interested in this game have already quit.

To really make my day the 2nd guild I’ve been in so far just died. I’m the only active player so I’m just burning off our researched items, then I’ll be looking again for a guild.

I have a nice exotic staff, with a nice Charr skin. In fact, my “other” wep set is pretty much the same, and thanks to Charr level 2 skins my torch actually looks like a torch. Those skins cost me a bit of karms, that’s all.

At the moment building out a keep or tower is extremely expensive but that is the way to win a weeks battle. Too bad the zergheads don’t understand that.

We really need a reward system for the guilds/players who can build a point and hold it. At the moment we’re just spending all we have, gold, research influence, etc and we’re getting very little in return for that.

I just put 4 minor runes into the mystic forge. It gave me 1 minor rune (of sanctuary).

UPDATE: The Pizza Hut delivery recipe for a feast of pizzas is not soulbound, but some of the forge items to get the recipe are soulbound, so work your way through this carefully.

Also, the feast recipes for lvl 80 meals can only be made by level 80 characters, so I’m now leveling my cook character (yeah, great….).

Could someone please show me the official response? Because I don’t see it.

Pretty much just a few minutes ago. I’m sure nothing will be done, and nobody will be banned even though we’ve made video of the hack routes, and sent them in.

I’m so happy to be playing this game going on vacation tomorrow.

If you are good enough, getting the top kills / revives / captures / neutralizes / boss kills can give nice points.

Came here to say this. Figure out what you’re good at, then go for it.

As an example, if you understand where the enemy zerg is likely to go next, go somewhere else and neutralize their point. You’ll need a speed build for that. So, thief or air elementalist.

If you’re tanky but slow, follow your own zerg to at least get the capture. Then maybe camp the enemy spawn spot to kill the obviously weaker players. They hate that btw.

Perhaps I didn’t make the point clear enough. Your tip about listening to the game is pure kittens, because that isn’t even the slightest factor with all the other classes. Sometimes I win againt those guys, sometimes I don’t, but the balance so far is in my favor.

With a Thief it’s different story. I don’t think I’ve actually killed one yet.

Listen to the sound in this game? Not going to happen.
