HELP IP BAN!

in Players Helping Players

Seera.5916

Here’s the thing. If there accounts were hacked and used from the same IP as the others that means someone from that physical location did the hacking. If someone remotely hacked an account then a different IP would be used to connect to the servers and that IP, not your friends IP, would be the one that got banned.

That’s not the issue.

The issue is multiple play the game from the same location, each owning their own account.

1 account got hacked and used for nefarious purposes. All accounts from that IP have been banned, including accounts that weren’t hacked or violated any rules. At least from the side of the story we are told.

[Suggestion] Second Boss Rotation, please?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Seera.5916

Seera.5916

The rotation was done due to the megaservers. The bosses used to spawn during a window of X time after Y time had passed from when they last spawned.

So Maw would spawn during a 15 minute window, on hour after he last spawned. I’m just making the numbers up for the example, I don’t know what Maw’s window or down time were.

But that last spawned time requires maps to stay up. With the megaserver, they don’t. So they had to change how the big bosses spawned.

The problem with your suggestion is that it could splinter the population too much. Shatterer is an afk boss, but you still need the numbers for DPS. Too many off doing Jormag could spell both failing since both require a fair amount of DPS for more maps than what currently happens. Both would likely fill one map. But without them overlapping, a second or third map may get enough participants.

And that’s peak time. What about non-peak time players? They may barely get the DPS required if at all for Claw or Shatterer and your suggestion would split them in half.

They should leave one mostly afk world boss dragon. Give the casual, no teamspeak, etc crowd a dragon. Claw does have the least amount of allowed afk between the two non-buffed dragons.

So i got back to GW2 after a while .

The game was advertised as not having the holy trinity so I very very highly doubt that the holy trinity would ever be added to the game.

Until you think you can have fun without the holy trinity, your probably better off finding a different game to play.

patch after expansion

hi community!

After release of the expansion Heart of Thorns there’s hope of a localization of the game in another language (russian, italian, portughese) or at least subtitles in these languages?
Many players hope in other languages for more fun in this game.

In addition I say that many friends don’t buy the game just because it’s not localized.
This expansion can be also a way to revive the game and to bring new players to this beautiful MMORPG.
We don’t ask the dubbing but only the subtitles.

I ask at least to consider this proposal that we Russian players, Italian and Portuguese we ask from two years.

Your issue is that you don’t adapt to the international english language (I’m saying this as a swedish player fyi). Just look at the majority of the german/french/spanish players who must have their own language in-game in order to play it, it is more of an issue that a majority lack the knowledge of english rather than putting the burden upon Anet.

And on top of that, ANet feeling that there are enough German/French/Spanish players out there that would buy the game to recoup any current and future translation fees.

They may not feel the same way about Italian players. It’s not something they can try and then stop supporting if they don’t have enough Italians using the Italian client. Not to mention each official language they give a localization for, they make a server for. Is EU WvW so overcrowded on most servers to warrant 3 new servers? (they can’t turn an existing server into Italian since people are already on it, and for WvW you have to have a multiple of 3 servers).

From what I’ve seen posted in other threads regarding the EU lag, it’s related to a particular server that neither ANet nor NCSoft own. It’s a server owned by Telia. Or at least some of it is.

ANet has made Telia aware of the issue, but apparently, it’s not on Telia’s priority list. You would need to go fuss at Telia to get the issue resolved.

And have you guys who’ve experienced these issues sent in bug reports right after coming back on from a crash?

Submitted support tickets regarding the issue with as much detail as possible?

If it’s not happening to everyone or to a majority, then it’s a needle in a haystack.

Are you EU or NA? What ISP do you have? Where are you located? What are your computer specs? Do you crash anywhere else?

Widebody: Is it always a specific keep that kicks you or is it any keep? Numerous times? How many times? Are the zergs noticeably bigger between first time and the time that kicks you?

You’re telling them there is a needle in the haystack they need to find, but aren’t giving them any clues as to where it is.

Of course…down players would have regular access to all WPs. But running to a WP to me is something they could implement w/ moderate whine rather than removing

And they would have to allow for exceptions for areas where it isn’t possible to run to a waypoint. The pirate jumping puzzle in LA. The jumping puzzle in Blazeridge where the exit to the area is only accessible if you complete the jumping puzzle.

OP…I agree w/ you. WPs do remove a lot of the “immersion”/or traffic that a player could experience while playing. Now that we’ve been spoiled by WPs, it’s far too late. I have always thought (and re thought after the tendrils “attacked” the WPs) that we should have to run to a WP to access other WPs rather than in the middle of no where. Story and Asura have always mentioned them being connected and that is decent way to reflect that. At most it adds 45seconds to your travel.

P.s. My apologies if someone else already brought that up but, I don’t have TIME to read ALL of the responses. B-)

It wasn’t brought up. I wouldn’t have an issue with this either as long as it made an exception for dead characters and as long as the number of waypoints and their locations remained the same (or only had minor changes).

But removing them? No.

I think that people miss a lot of the content by being able to instantly travel to their destination- if everyone was forced to run, think of all the content that would be brought back to life! Think of the possibilities that would open up! Silverwastes is kind of an example of that, and it seems to be working out just fine.

But people have to go through and experience the content to open up the waypoints in the first place. If you choose to, you can certainly do it again. But being forced to do it over and over after you’ve already done it once is recipe for disaster. Everything in the game is optional, even the first time. But after you’ve done it once, even more so. You completed say all dungeon paths and story on AC. Now unless you want specific rewards (tokens, gold, etc.) there is no reason you ever have to do it again.

Now lets say, in order to do anything in Plains of Ashford, you HAVE to go through AC first. How many people would be in Plains of Ashford? Would it be worthwhile to have to find a group, run a dungeon, just to be able to be get into the zone? I don’t think so.

While this is a hypothetical situation, the principle is the same. No one should be forced to do certain content repeatedly just to be able to do a boss, an event, or explore.

It’s just… A little more running.

And a little more time than I may have on the average day.

Or too far to run to help out a friend do a skill point or a non-world boss champion/event if I’m off in an area not near a waypoint doing something. They may be near a waypoint, but it was a pain to get to where I was due to hordes of enemies in the way. So I don’t want to leave here until I’m done or closer to a waypoint. And this is the only character that’s got a waypoint anywhere near where my friend currently is.

The whole trait unlocking thing means new players just use whatever ones they have unlocked rather then ones they should be using. It’s an absolute mess and needs re-evaluating.

Colin has posted in the Traits thread that due to HoT being released they can be a bit more open in the thread. And that the unlocking of Traits will be made much more simpler to match the type of things you would do to unlock the masteries. So Trait acquisition will be adjusted at least one more time.

You do not need a full Zerg-Meta build for any open world content. True Story.

Not if the event is critically time gated, such as Marionette. And faster the event get done = faster to start another = more reward.

Not everyone cares about how much loot they get per hour.

Not everyone has the skills or desire to run in full zerker gear with DPS traits and skills.

You can’t force anyone to do anything and sometimes telling someone to do something that’s not required by the game will get them to do the exact opposite. Get the lowest DPS build they can find and put on the lowest gear they can find and still get credit for the event when it succeeds. Yes, my example is an extreme, but there are people out there that don’t take being told what to do well at all, when the person holds no authority over them.

And think of the times where you have to ask to get help doing something?

Right now, if I pass someone needing help, I don’t mind helping, where I’m going is not far or I’ve got the time.

Under your change, that chance gets drastically lowered. They could be running to get to somewhere so they can progress on their character before they have to get off. Or make it to world boss before it dies. Or be sick and tired of running through the same part of Orr because they themselves are struggling at something and so they just want to get back to the location again.

Or to get more people at an event to kill it before the timer runs out. Such as world bosses on timers during off peak times.

If you’ve read the responses:

Some people do not have the TIME to run across the map. Some people to get the most out of their limited play time have to use waypoints.

And what about when the waypoint goes contested? Evenly spaced means nothing if the closest one goes contested.

And what about maps like those in Orr?

Sorry, but your idea does not work for this game.

It’s not a patience thing. It’s a make the most of the time given to play issue. If I’m not in a hurry and I’m not several maps away, I’ll likely run to the event. Provided it’s not a world boss about to spawn and it’s not do events in this map day and it’s a low level one.

Your idea also punishes new players who are more apt to die. Now, not only do they have to try again to do what they were doing, but now they have to run through a larger area to do so. Possibly through enemies that they had died against before and just barely defeated.

Do not force your playstyle onto others when you do not know the reasoning behind their playstyle. Stop assuming it’s impatience that drives the usage of WP’s. Not all players care about immersion and without the waypoints to get them from point a to point b quickly would quickly get bored and stop playing the game. Not all players have the time to run from point a to point b, and would stop playing the game if most of their time in game was spent running and not playing.

That’s the beauty of having many WP’s. Those that don’t want to use them don’t have to. Those that wish to use them, can use them. Win/win for both groups of people. I honestly don’t see why you’re trying to turn the situation into a win/lose. Where the only people who win are those with the time and enjoy immersion (or whatever reason you wish for not using the WP) and everyone else loses.

Deal with it. Convenience is overrated.
I wanted to talk about this idea, and that’s what’s happening- the least you can do is contribute without acting like an kitten.
Can you do that?

I am contributing without acting like a kitten thank you very much.

I’m sorry if anything I said offended you, I surely didn’t mean to.

But you can’t keep those who disagree with your position from participating in the thread. Please at least acknowledge that there are downsides to your idea and try to find ways to counteract that.

Oh, and no mounts. That’s what waypoints are for. You want realism and people to stop and smell the roses, right? Mounts would stop that. Mounts aren’t in the lore so it would be against immersion and against the lore of the game. So sorry, based on your reasoning for removing waypoints, adding mounts would not be a valid compromise to the lack of time/don’t care for immersion crowd.

Waypoints fit the lore. And those that want to be immersed in the game, can forgo the usage of them.

Reduced world-boss map capacity

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Seera.5916

Seera.5916

I don’t always have to lower my settings, but I have crashed enough to automatically lower them when I kill world bosses. It’s so frustrating to invest time into pre events only to crash when the boss is almost dead. It would be so great to be able to see these events at my normal settings. Right now most of them are just a blur as I wait for it to be over and collect my loot. I did get lucky last week and ended up of a shatterer map with only about 10 people.

It would be great if Anet could set map caps specific to the needs of each world boss. That means teq and triple trouble still get the required numbers, but the rest can be much lower and allow us to fight them and see them as intended.

The problem is, unless it’s a permanent map capacity, what do you do when the boss spawns (or whatever the cut off point for lowering map capacity is) if there are more than capacity on the map already?

Do you boot people off? If so, how do you choose? Do you chose the person running around doing map completion? What if they’re just killing time until the boss spawns? Or got in the middle of a fight and can’t waypoint just yet? And it was Shadow Behemoth, which takes time to kill. Enough time to waypoint to Phinney within a minute of him spawning and still get gold credit.

Do you boot the people sitting at the event location because they aren’t playing? What if they only have X time to play and the new map created doesn’t have enough players to succeed the event? But if he knew he was on a too low pop map before he would have gone and spent his time doing something else that day instead of waiting for a world boss.

ANet can’t adjust their side of the game unless they know what specific thing caused it to crash. Send in bug reports when you log back in. Give your computer specs in the details of the crash and if you had what your FPS was put that. Give ANet something to work with. If they see that a too high percentage of players are crashing at say Maw, they may lower the snow particle effects during Maw.

But I crash at World Bosses doesn’t really give ANet much to work with on solving what they can. And they likely won’t fix it for just one person. It would have to be a high enough percentage of players to make it worthwhile for them to adjust the game and possibly upset other players.

Like the decision to have mini’s be hidden when things get too busy angered people. They wanted to show off their mini and then the game hides it. They have to weigh the two sides of the issue.

The issue is on your end, not Anet’s.

It’s ANet that produced

  • the client that crashes
  • the situation that produces the crash in their client.

I never had these problems before mega-server.
And I’ve my other-players-settings low as I play a lot EotM/WvW.

Also, just an fyi, no way in hell is it going to have only positive effects. Have you ever fought triple trouble? That one more or less demands a full map to be successful.

It may demand a full map (but probably thats a matter of scaling if it does or not).
In any case I would rate tripple trouble (and the marionette and the boss in the lion arch reconquest) as better game design, because it requires the people not all in one place, but distributed over several places.

And your solution would affect ALL maps, including the one for Triple Trouble. Meaning your change means that event would ALWAYS fail for lack of enough people.

I actually have been getting better FPS at events since the megaserver. Without adjusting my settings. I used to get around 3 FPS at Maw. I’m now getting more like 7 FPS. I have also not made any upgrades to my computer between the last time I noticed 3 FPS at Maw and now.

And that one has a ton of particle effects from the boss himself and then there are the effects from players and the players themselves all bunched up in one area.

So, it’s your computer. ANet can’t cater their game to every computer in existence. They’d never be able to focus on adding new things. Because if they adjust their game lower, the min requirements go lower and then more people think they can get their subpar computer to work and complain that the client crashes. Then ANet has to stop and make their game work for them. And so on and so forth.

ANet released a set of minimum requirements to PLAY the game. And it’s just to play the game. Not play the game at high settings. If you are at or below the minimum requirements, and you have settings on high, then it is not ANet’s fault. Turn your settings down.

If you are well above minimum requirements, send in a bug report the moment you get back in game. And give your computer specs.

Map Completion & WvW - why?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Seera.5916

Seera.5916

Because they are explorable zones with PoIs, Vistas, and Skill Points. And “100%” and “World Completion” are all-encompassing terms.

A better question is why they don’t require players to explore new zones when they come out as well, but I’m torn on whether that’s a good idea or not.

Not..it would make 100% an insurmountable task to a new player, a few expansions down the line.
(I’m hoping this new magumma map isn’t needed with the new xpac for 100% too..)

I meant new maps added to the core game. HoT exploration should be its own thing, perhaps by upgrading your icon from a yellow star to a blue one if you have both. Or something.

But Southsun, Dry Top, and Silverwastes should be part of world completion for your Gifts of Exploration, absolutely.

Or included in the HoT exploration if they don’t want to add it to the current one.

It’s a convenience fee. If you don’t want to keep track of which characters have what discipline or don’t want to switch characters out, you have to pay a fee.

The waypoint is a convenience fee. If you don’t want to spend money running toward where you’re going, you pay a fee. Assuming you’ve been to that waypoint before. It’s also why it costs more to travel to a place that is farther away than it is to somewhere close.

Your solution works for you. It does not work for those who like to use crafting to level up their characters.

People have posted solutions that would offer a choice. A gem store item that would unlock it to all characters. That would be acceptable to me.

That way those who wish to have the convenience get it open on all characters and those who wish to use crafting as a means to level up can still do so.

The point is, the game is as it is so only, because Anet tried to push forcefully a Money Sink into the Crafting System by lettign us have to pay a small money fee to be able to change the crafting discipline and by limiting it firstly to be able to have max 2 disciplines per Character, what everyone and their mom simply circumvented simply from begin on by just giving each character different two craftign disciplines, to have them all for the disconvenience of having to switch everytime between your characters, if you don’t want to eat that forced upon money sink to be able to switch on your character the crafting disciplines.

This game can have much better money sinks, than this here.
if a money sink can be already so easily circumvented completely, then its a sign in itself, just how bad the system was designed from begin on already.

Oh wow, ANet trying to keep inflation in check by putting in gold sinks. Who would have thought?

The waypoint gold sink can be avoided as well by simply walking and using Asura gates. Should waypoints be free because it can be so easily avoided?

No. It’s a gold sink. Gold sinks are good for the economy.

ANet figures enough people will pay the fee to change crafting disciplines to help keep inflation down. They know some people will split up who crafts what. And that’s also how it is reality. One person typically isn’t a master of everything.

I guess “playing heavily” has different definitions. I have a full-time job, so I don’t play all day. Usually a few hours in the evening, a bit longer on weekends. Sometimes I wake up early and play a couple of hours if I can’t get back to sleep. Maybe that’s not “playing heavily.” It seems like a fair amount to me, though.

But you’re also comparing your drops to people who have the time to play all day.

You have say 10 chances to get an exotic. The people you’re comparing to have 100 chances. They’re going to get more exotics on average than you are. Just out of sheer chances.

As to commander tags. There is no rule that says a commander has to command in order to have the tag up. Common courtesy on maps like Silverwastes to not tag up if you aren’t going to follow what the majority of other commanders want to do? Yes. But not punishable if you choose to not follow the other commanders and keep your tag up.

Unfortunately, no one can own a map and there isn’t a rule that says a player has to care what the majority of players on the map are doing.

You can’t intentionally do things to impede on someone else’s play. That’s griefing and that is punishable

Without having screenshots (even with names blacked out) of the chat, it’s impossible to tell what their intention was. I’m not going to judge someone based on hearsay.

Best defense against them: politely ask them to follow the others or drop the tag. If they choose not to (whether vocally or not), just ignore them and calmly and politely try to keep the other players following your commanders.

Map Completion & WvW - why?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

A good solution to this would be to make WvW map completion separate from Tyria’s map completion, and split the two Gifts of Exploration between them. Give WvW map completion it’s own special icon too.

That way, PvE’rs wouldn’t have to play a mode they don’t like, and WvW’rs wouldn’t have to trudge through Tyria for a Gift of Exploration if they don’t like that.

But of course, ArenaNet won’t even bother with that.

That would lead to people farming WvW for the gifts.

What needs to happen is adding in two new achievements and turning the current one into the do x of y achievements, like they did for wintersday. Doing both rewards ap, the gifts and the title. The two parts would just reward ap.

I’ll likely get a slot if they go on sale. I’ve only got the original five slots. I want to try out all professions so I’ll need more slots anyway. The one slot they’d give in the expansion pack won’t cover the 4 professions that the original 5 can’t cover.

Thanks I will post there, however the fact that thread was created almost a year ago and has been active ever since lends itself away from being able to attribute the problem with current new players due to the recent sale and announcement of the expansion. It appears that it is more of an ongoing issue.

The majority of those posts are people looking at getting their account unbanned, I wouldn’t really assume they take priority over people with actual issues.

Some of those banned accounts are due to hacked accounts. Those are actual issues.

1. As to the account hack, keep plugging away. If it’s been more than three days since your last message and no reply, post in the appropriate thread.

2. If they let people claim pictures are of them without proof, then that could open up all sorts of cans of worms.

3. This is likely due to a case of honest human error. But either way, all they do is punish the scammer if they can prove it. They do not refund any money or anything to the buyer. This has been made public.

If the spirit channeling is anything like Elementalist attunements or Engineering kits, then you likely won’t be able to weapon swap. Too many skills for one class. It’s why the Elementalist and Engineers can’t weapon swap. And why our on weapon swap skills activate on attunement switch or kit switch, respectively.

Selling on the LFG

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Seera.5916

From Gaile’s comment, I read the following:

As it stands at the moment, selling on the LFG tool is not forbidden, but it is very frowned upon. (Probably the same stance ANet has on dungeon selling.) From a game design perspective, this is probably more urgent since if players start bypassing the TP to sell on grey markets, it will result in one of the game’s major gold sinks being neutered, as well as result in increased requests to Support to deal with scammers.

Thus, while this means that those currently selling their wares aren’t reportable, but action may need to be taken in the very near future if people start doing it more and more often, to the point where they start to clog up the LFG tool.

ANet doesn’t frown on dungeon run selling at all. As long as it isn’t an exploited run. They’ve said in other threads that it’s fine to do.

They do however not give money back if you get scammed. But if there is evidence that the seller scammed you, then the seller will be punished.

Build Diversity (PVE)

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Seera.5916

Seera.5916

Thirdly. I didnt say that “everyones crap build” should be accepted. What I mean is that if you develop a well reasoned and cohesive build, you should be able to use it. For instance, I would like to make a necro death-cleric that takes my allies conditions while providing mass aoe heals. Is this build cohesive and does it work with itself? Yes. Does it matter in any current pve context? Definitely not.

The thing is, everyone will think their build is well reasoned and cohesive.

Meaning that everyone will think their build fits the meta and therefore they shouldn’t be kicked for it.

Meaning even more people that the speed run group has to kick because they don’t meet the requirements.

And they make your changes, diversity happens for a bit. A week, to a few weeks, as the elite math nerds crunch the numbers.

Then a new meta comes up. It may not be zerker, but there will be a new meta for each class. And poof goes the diversity. Speed run groups are back to looking for a specific build for whatever specific class that joins.

Meta does not equal viable. Meta equals optimal. Casual PHIW groups need viable. All builds are viable. Elite speed run groups need optimal. They need the meta. Current meta is zerker. Change mechanics, the optimal build will change, the viable builds will still be viable. Elite speed run groups will just end up looking for a different build.

Can't use tomes on revenant?

Lol of course you can use the tomes on a revenant…it’s called trolling please don’t believe the internet.

I don’t know, I was wondering this during the stream, prior to any rumor. At one point Colin (or whichever dev was up there, I don’t which devs are which…) stated specifically that everyone would be start on equal footing with the Revenant and level up. It kind of sounded like he was hinting at level scrolls not working.

But if you lock them off of tomes, the Revenants won’t be able to keep up with the Ranger/Druids. They won’t be on equal footing.

Equal footing to me means the same starting point and the same means to level up. Tomes are a means to level up. So are the level 20 scrolls.

Seems like a lot of people have no sense of value…
Ready to pay 30EUR and more for a EXPANSION that ’’would’’ cost as much as a base game…?

If I remember correctly I havent seen a single game that would ask as a maximum, over 20Eur (or otherwise), for a expansion that adds few features…

Then you might as well make a new game…and name it ‘’Revenant Wars 3’’

It shouldn’t be more than 20EUR… at best… it will cost 10EUR

Sadly, some companies are able to get away with charging the same amount as the base game for the expansion packs, without having equal amounts of content.

EA comes to mind.

So I would not put it out of the realm of possibility of Heart of Thorns costing the same as the base game.

Don’t know enough about what the expansion pack will add or change to really put a price tag on it.

I’m tight with my money. I don’t have much left over after bills so I have to feel like the money is well spent.

Based on hype alone and what we’ve heard, I can give a range: $20-$30. Doesn’t seem enough to warrant the same cost as the base game.

However, if the release date is anywhere near October (like if it’s August or later), I may hold off until my birthday. I don’t have an issue with letting others play guinea pig for any glitches that come up. Nor do I need to be the first at anything. Either that or call it early birthday if my brother and his friends also get it at release. Just so I can play with them.

So how many Revenants...

New Expansion, Why?

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Seera.5916

What’s broken from the story of the core game?

There will always be minor bugs in everything. It’s impossible to not get them all out.

I’d rather they spend more time developing new content, than fixing things I’ve done over and over.

They can fix any big glaring problems, but new content is more important to me than minor issues in the core game.

The missing chapter of the personal story that disappeared when they reshuffled the storyline for the NPE.

The My Greatest Fear chapter. It held some fairly major plot points so it’s pretty important that that gets worked back into the story. Either by reinserting the chapter or moving the plot points to other chapters.

When can we pre-order?

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Posted by: Seera.5916

Seera.5916

NO! NO NO NO NO NO! No pre-orders! Please do not encourage ArenaNet or NCSoft to create pre-order bundles that explicitly withhold features/content from those who don’t pay early. EA already does this and the end up releasing unfinished or poorly made games. Pre-orders are how big corporations make a profit without even delivering a product.

ArenaNet, please, I beg you. IF you do a pre-order option PLEASE do not make it so that there is some content/feature/item that you can only get by giving you guys money for an unfinished product. I want to give you my money, but not like this.

They did for the launch of the game. With the Hero’s Band. Nice little itty bitty item that you quickly outleveled.

I don’t know what they could use for this expansion pack as it is for level 80+, but maybe some black lion keys (or other such highly sought after items that are available without pre-ordering, just rarer).

I will not support ANYTHING subscription based that would give players any type of actual advantage over other players in game.

They get content revealed to them the same time as others and get access to it at the same time. They do not get special subscriber only boosts to anything.

It will create a divide in the game between the subscribers and the non-subscribers. It would be different if the world didn’t revolve around money where some of those non-subscribers are not there by choice. If money was not an object and everyone could freely choose to fall on what side they wanted to, then it would be different.

And your salon example. They could also go: we must be doing something right if they buy our overpriced shampoo instead of going to a grocery store and buying the generic version that’s much cheaper.

Arena Net is very aware that a lot of people will only buy gems if they feel the game is going in a direction they like. Therefore they can use spikes in gem sales (or dips) as indicators of how much people liked an update (or didn’t).

Can you guys Please add a Subscription model to this game AS WELL? — I’d love to support you guys in a way that would directly influence content like this being released more often.

(F2P helps you/the publisher see people interested in fluff, and etc. But how do you gauge if/when people want more content!? —- typically it’s been when subscription numbers start falling lower – #1 gauge for the need for new content. // Are you guys gauging the need for new content by the Decrease in Gem Purchases???)

Wouldn’t it be beneficial to us all if We the players could decide where our money is being spent? That way you could see what we find valuable—-where you/the publisher could become more successful by providing services and content we show an interest in—shown by what we’re spending our dollars on?

Why is there no Subscription Option? :: I’d like to Pay for Content. Not Fluff/Glimmer Glammer/in-game costumes, etc.. Not these “random occurring events/holiday esque things”. (Very little content competes with Killing an Elder Dragon.?)

I’d like to throw a monthly investment at you guys, to say hey, I like what you’re doing right now. I like what I can currently Play. And when I cancel that subscription. That means I’m no longer interested in what I Can currently play.

But, I’d most likely come back if there were more of the content I was interested in. And I’d stay invested, if there were a steady stream of it.

:::: suggestion ::::: add a subscription model, that rewards players for their continued/recurring investment(s). :::::::
- Suggested Subscriber Benefits?
×"Early" access to new content. (I’d like to enjoy the content I’d like, possibly sooner then other’s -in some way- who may not be subscribed, or others who aren’t contributing up to the same amount(s) —-eg; ~$15-20+ of gem purchases/month = same benefits?? Result: encourages players to invest more of their time/dollars.)
×"Gem" In-Game Store Discounts? (successful w/ other titles?)
×Extra XP(s)
×Subscriber “fluff” item(s)?
×etc. (whatever else that might be seen as an added value?)

I really enjoyed this game, but after I slew the Elder dragon, and did some other things. My interest declined rapidly. Why? well. I wasn’t really interested in killing or raiding bandit incursions, repeating the same content/quest lines, participating in the random holiday events, or whatnot. I wanted a New goal to works towards. And PVP is great and all, but. It’s lacking. In one area – A fundamental and competitive dis-advantage over this game’s predecessor. GUILD WARS.

- I read that you’re adding Guild Halls back into the game. Please. Just Please. For all that was fun, rewarding, and enjoyable in your predecessor game. Introduce Guild-Wars into “Guild Wars 2”. 5v5/10v10/etc. vs etc. battle modes, Attack And Defense Sieges on Upgradeable/Customizable/ Guild Halls. // There is not anything else like an “arena” type mode that competitor’s currently offer, but Guild War(s)-Guild Hall Vs Battles. will definitely help add the replayability that your first installment had, and that would compete with the (small team based-arena modes) that other titles currently offer that you don’t as of yet.

thanks for reading !

No.

Those of you who want to support the game monthly, buy gems monthly.

Do not force the rest of us to do the same to play. Some of us can’t afford it. But we can save up for a one time buy or have it gifted to us for a birthday or for a gift giving holiday or other such occasion.

Thank you for NOT reading the entire post. I never once stated Non-Subscribers wouldn’t be able to play the same content as people who do. (Unless subscribers got Early-emphasis on early- access in SOME way. as a suggestion.) —- You like the game how it currently is? Fine Keep playing what You have paid for. I hope the guild wars Expansion costs $30-60. I’d like them to know that’s what I want to pay for.

No to anything that would give subscribers any benefit.

Head start on stuff equals they get rich off future crafting. Think of what would have happened if people with early access got to create ascended gear first and what that would have done to the market.

So no to the experience boosts. They sell experience boosters in the gem store, buy gems, buy boosters, use them.

Don’t have an issue with more gems than someone who bought without the subscription. Nothing’s pay to win in the gem store.

And if fluff items are things that don’t give any in game advantage (no boosters, etc), then I’d be fine with that.

And I wouldn’t pay $10-$15 a month regularly for fluff items and more gems/$. I’d just subscribe for a month when I wanted to buy gems and then cancel my subscription before the next month started.

Otherwise, buy gems monthly.

So possibly similar to elementalist attunements (or as someone else mentioned, engineer kits), you channel a particular legend to gain a specific skill set at a time, making this potentially a very flexible class.

Which would likely mean no weapon swap.

But it would give the heavy armor type one class that can’t weapon swap. Just like the other two armor types. (Engineer for medium, Elementalist for light).
