My issue with this berserker religion, is the idea that one is “better.” For some, sure, but for others, not. What’s important isn’t finding a single variable to any idea, but instead to identify what the goals of the build is, and how to bets meet that goal. So what would be judged as quality would be how effective a build is at the particular goal.

This means that beserker is not the best, only the best in getting as much damage as humanly possible, as fast as humanly possible. If the berserker build fits you, excellent! but I refuse to believe I am the only one who bases my strategy on the character, and wants to adapt and perfect each new style developed as a result of that character, each with their own goals and end results during a fight. I don’t want to play one build over and over, I want to enjoy the game over and over, each with a new strategy and technique. And I can’t be the only one who doesn’t just pick one style.

I actually like the new content~ It’s fun to play through once if you care about the story at all. It’s much better than Season 1 stuff.

Used to do this with my friends SO much back in the days when I played Runescape. It was a breeding ground for behavior represented by this llama so there was plenty of awesome things to read in hurrdurr voices. ^.^

I noticed, I found almost no good or up-to-date guides written in understandable english for the game haha. I have to crawl the internet deeps while the computer plays the game for me.

New boss boon.
For every gear piece not berserker/assassin boss becomes Concerned(23h). Like in real life, where real bosses get concerned about your effectiveness.
Increases damage just enough to compensate for defensive stats. People now take the same damage as if they wore dps gear.

Yes advice was asked for and given constructively and without berating, but the point I was trying to convey was that beserker is reccomended more then other builds. Yes beserker is the highest DPS, and survivability is rendered obsolete by active defense mechanisms, and those responses made that clear. But as a new player trying to find what gear/build to use, being presented largely by beserker, and the play style that accompanies it, it would appear that beserker is the only option, and imply (to them, not by the ones reccommending it) that anything else is bad.

As far as dissolving the beserker meta, I am against it. I suggested working with the combat mechanics in general to allow for other builds to be more useful. And stated clearly, don’t nerf beserker, don’t buff bosses to eliminate a need for beserker, don’t buff other builds to make beserker less than optimal, just change the way the mechanics work to allow for other builds to be more effective. (I would point to condition builds as an example of broken mechanics.)

This was said before, but anyways. Zerker is not a build, it’s a gear set. There’s no gear variety in PvE, but there’s plenty of skill and trait diversity for most classes.

The classical examples are the EA Warrior (and recently PS variant) and meta Guardian, which provide better party buffs/active defenses than the max self-DPS builds.

Condition builds are very effective in a solo situation, although only for a few classes.

I love hoping. If it happens, great! If it doesn’t, maybe it wasn’t worth hoping for, or I’m caring too much about it. It’s a game, after all.

I’m not hoping for endless fun for everyone (that’s what PHYWs want!). I’m hoping for less zergs and more permanent, challenging and rewarding content. And from the patch notes and news, it seems they’re trying.

On a game I played for a while, Runescape, people started to really get fascinated with speedclearing in dungeoneering. Clans (guilds) emerged where people had to pass trials, people sold/bought floors (paths), went for records and more. Early on, Jagex added a timer that displayed at the end of a path with all of the other statistics such as % of rooms opened/% of mobs killed etc. Here’s an example:

It’s been months since a dev posted here. You should be better complaining in another company’s forum, or change the spreadsheet software altogether.

Brazil took the best food around the world (thankfully ignoring the terrible hispanic cuisine) and improved it (my international friends come here and confirm this).
It’s one of the few reasons I couldn’t stand living in the US lol
