Maybe because I don’t stick around these map long enough to bother tagging up for chain event or because the time zone I play outside of US prime time (1-2pm server time)

Those event I say trouble some are mostly from experience since they last more than 5 minute due to event scaling despite it is not a group event.

Even AB meta during my play time failed considerably because people fail to see how to contribute to meta like getting into Exalted armor clearing path and don’t join squads thus leaving the map to guess which side of the meta stop progressing.

SCAR Camp event are tolerable for solo but hardly find anyone willing to help with event if it is more than 5 second walk from waypoint.

Nuhoch events are no no. Too many outside of event mobs and infinite spawn that drop no loot. Fed-Ex trough a bunch of Murdering mushroom that require you to run a bundle more than 5 time with no throwing option And Long escort which uninteresting result in boredom .

Ogre camp Escort and Later event blocked by an OP mushroom king hardly anyone want to do it.

Last thing you want is random people tagging and scaling up the event then left because of whatever reason leaving to do more work for the same reward.

So event on TD didn’t flow nicely for 1st timer on the map either they got lost or don’t have mastery to get to events in time. It would be nice if easy event is at the Whisper camp that lead to escort to other part of the map instead of dropping you out of nowhere.

It would be nice if all meta event isn’t full of cheap people trying to Tag and AFK knowing what to do how to help the meta.
But sadly most event that need organizations are really waste of time because people won’t stick around making the map happen.

Participation basically too low for those veteran who put effort into the map because all the goodie are loaded into the end of META while there are no clear example how to do META effectively.

Would be nice if there something to do solo while waiting for meta to happen. especially TD where you usually wait 15 minute for a shot at the meta.

They just need Local server for PVP, Raiding. But then there need to be server technology that transfer character data in real time.

Most wandering Pugs won’t change skill to meet encounter requirement.
Make an LFG , use notepad to coply/paste what need to be done to your squad.
I suggest that you don’t bring more than 10 people due to scaling making it hard to CC consistently.

Im working on condi – support revnant. Paring it with rune of torment.Current build on condi revnant making build spamming a 30+ torment stacks which might be higher with best rotations.

As someone who dribble around PVE/PVP. Some time I want to just pewpew stuff. And then PVP queue pop and Im using multiple class which sometime use leaping skill.

I made bad move many time by Auto targeting.Leaping into AoE instead of getting away.
Becasue there no time to turn it off.

I wish for this feature so many year. But it never come.

The one shot mechanic is always a pain. I don’t know if A-net does enough play test on this collection.
Should have been going on Green circle X times during the raid instead.

The VB and TD meta events arn’t difficult after a couple of run when you know what skills to bring. But its the logistic of getting people to right place that make event difficult.

They should really update that Garent meta to have warm up phase like Tarir . Plenty of zerg fest event near the main WP. More Wallow to hop around the starting point of each lane meta. Or actaully make it like dragon stand . Longer time after event notification and have a meta trackers for lane count instead of relying on commanders shouting for helps.

DPS numbers on Condi rev will be always low on open world soloing. Unless Revnant have mechanic like fear or Trait that manipulate torment for PVE purpose.

10 stacks of torment is really hurt in PVP , WvW thou.

Vinetooth prime just need people who decent enough at DPSing and dodging or Bring a tons of Burst CC which you dont usaully run into one in open world.

When it become zergfest most just get lazy camping ranged auto attack.

So fire up an LFG start from the beginning and explain the mechanic. the 1st phase of East pylon event will determine if the group is good or not.

1st time seeing a lane push lost and end up wasting 20 more minute redoing previous events.

Not sure how this happe but everone was on Axemaster and Chak lobber happen to be near Thornheart before the bug kick in.

The only weapon set that fully deal condition based damage which main damage come from torment condition after playing with it for awhile here what I think

- Mace could use some rework since its auto attack deal torment damage. making it ranged just like Elementalist dagger main attack make more sense.

-Using combo filed on Mace 2+3 feel awkward in mid combat since mace 2 lock on target and mace 3 cause a short leap which lock your movment making it hard to combo might blast twice. Please make skill 2 ground target instead of lock on , if not too much make the AOE Longer . Get rid of the animation lock on mace 3 that tiny leap won’t get you anywhere useful.

- Revnant doesn’t have any Trait that boost DPS easily .Corruption spec is really all about PVP related counter. Venom Enhancement is under tuned for PVE. Diabolic Inferno is rarely used because it tied to high energy cost skill.

-Unyielding Anguish need Daredevil’s Valut Treatment. Now its not landing anywhere near the cursor

-Also Condi rev lack of Speed boost in vanilla spec outside of combining with Jalis Inspiring Reinforcement.

-Rev core mechanic still need polish cause at the start of combat you will mostly have only a couple of skill ready at the start combat because of energy issues.

-Hopefully next Elite spec will be good and synergy well with Mallyx. Cause right now other elites are geared toward power build.

My meaning of Sell well is you put it on the average price (after looking at TP site)and it sold in 3 day at volume of 10 or more.

And the way that HoT map laid out. Tangled dept is slowest to gather the mats. Not to mention the rate you gather Obsidian shards from all source.

Things I found why HoT meta map fell.

1 People not wanting to start LFG or Tag up. Becasue they aren’t sure if it worth their time.

2 Mega server keep closing when there any stalled event on the map. Causing population to scatter all over the palce.

3 Some events are too easily scaled up when peopel walk pass it. Especially Fed-ex Type event where people don’t bother cause they don’t get more loot running it

4 Lack of critical tool to communicate strategically in Pugs zerg . People just follow tags blindly.

5 The Yolo 11111 Pugs who cried for HP train .HP train that refuse to leave map .Map chat commander who doesn’t really tag up but rather insult the guy that tag up.

Can we have some of these soon ? I am farming HoT meta for the Amalgamate gem for my legendary and those mats are filling up my inventory at unbalanced quantity.

The only outlet for this mat is crafting Fulgurite which can be convert to gold when you make Jeweled mats and it doesn’t sell well.

Really need options preset.
Some time I want to run low setting for WvW so that I dont get lag .
Sometime I wanna AFK brain and press 1111 .
Some time when I raid I don’t want to Push that Orb by accident.

Most of HoT map are scaled to be play with a group not solo.

VB have a serious problem where meta event are deserted because how hard to reach them within 30 second from WP and Enemies are very tough for new players.

All those Old HoT and the aging LS3 map might gonna need better tool to organize Public play or we are going to see a lot of dead map.

Just did Ordinance chain solo its is super tedious that you have to wait for NPC and enemy wave to come to you and each wave will give a very tanky mobs that you have to use all your skill to overcome it while some of them can oneshot you (Murders Frogs Aka Itzel) it Literally take over 15 minute to finish a tower defense solo which by then you are probably bored and call it a day.

Also Mega server is super inefficient at managing players population. It keep closing despite there a progress on the map . Resulting in players precept that the map is dead.

VB is super unfun to play solo . Many people detered from going there making it hard to Organize. Many people just looking for quick HP run and done with it.

And Mega server keep pushing people into a fresh map . Most people dont bother putting up LFG as well. So there we have a loop of Poor map to play with

Honestly with how current PVP skillset , rules and other UI stuffs. With how Stronghold did in PVP.

A-net going to rework or create a new game. Cause You can’t really do anything with balance at current state while it affecting PVE and WvW .

Give me Server with ping less than 100 ms ping and I’ll E-sport for A-net. Right now many people are handicapped.

I remember when Taiwan and Korean community was thriving they have different meta on PVP. And WvW commander are more about fight. Right now both of them are stale.

Impractical on Full scale server for a full PVE , WvW map. But since Gw2 is instanced . Maybe in the future we can play Raid , PVP with OCX region server. If A-net can tranfer account data through them.

Ok got a thief that already done the story before the update . I activate the chapter and go to the Frozen out instance.But for whatever reason I cannot interact with the Brazier and it doesn’t have Label on it.
How does it actually work then.

Also I did cook a potion before going into instance.

After Trying to get Flight of Fancy for the 10th time
I keep getting buggy game interaction and lost my AP. At last gliding phase when I swear mordy already phase to the final. I touch the ground and instantly lost qualification.

I don’t want to watch long kitten movie again, don’t want to fight 2 mini boss

And more of there like 0 interest to do Heart and mind again after they got all the AP

Would be nice to put all those instance to have daily reward and fix those bugs.

The event is not overturned but the update that spawn spark per player due to out cry that they can’t complete AP running the spark make it difficult . most people who run openworld dont bring Aoe CC on their bar anyway.

On Statue projection can you use Pull skill to bring it next to the KC so you strip the buff faster.

The overlapping bomb on Feet can you neglect it by using endure pain or invulnerable skill like mesmer distortion.

Do pets interfere with the KC core bumping it around. I saw mesmer can use focus pull thought

Also as druid which damage I should be looking for. I know the overlapping bomb will down low HP people and the Tri cone AoE give butt loads of condi to deal with.

Well today Daily I tagged up for a bit. . I tag up because its players mentality to flogged into a map with commanders tags .Then I said in map chat that I’m here for daily. So here goes random angry map chat.

So I say they can just spam map join for days instead of starting something worthwhile.

Fortunately I have someone to relief the tag. So I don’t have to bail on Tower phase.

Most of defensive buff , mechanic are pretty Binary with no soft counter.
Endurepain , Signet of Stone, Glint heal , Reflect etc thus make hit very strong and spammy to make them effective.

Would be good if they are converted to more streamline Format which you can over come by Focusing type of damage.

Its the way the legendary wings setup. Make people play games when they dont enjoy it cause they were in the progress.

The way AP setup is very Binary condition instead of making progress.You might stuck with it cause whatever match making throw at you.

So its not about showing appreciation to PVP player but keep them being fule the game mode.

Unlike WvW tournament you get soemthing at the end by doing a jsutified AP

Maybe with the AAA competitive games launch from the pass week. PVP Population migrate to shinny new game. Those who set thier goal to get wing just left for good. Less People in pool = ineffective match making. The rest are stoned AP grinders.

IDK about this balance but I think GW2 PVP should balance like a fighting game more than a MOBA. Current system is not work because its hard to read what happen in the game and why it happen.

For example you are condi rangers VS condi necro. you melee necro to get pressure on him and give him some bleed stack but the odd is stack on codi necro cause once the necro got 3 conditions he got a free condi transfer transfer by passively spam 1

Which lead to another problem information readability.Ranger have to keep his eye on both his effect stacks which move around . Becasue they are in the same row as his boon and other buff bars.At the same time looking at necro bars which is acorss the screen.

Another problem is how defensive buff stack.You got boons , Trait , Skill that provide passives. not everyone will catch on those.

PVP could use an overhual that more simplify the fighting process.

Thats overkill. CPU and RAM probably get you trough the FPS for this game. especially in zerg.

I bet 970 will last you more than 2 years. if you are aiming for 60 FPS range for most of this year gaming.

When you use a trap skill. You can either place them on the the ground after 2nd cast or Using steal will place that trap on the target which you can activate later. The effect will be adjusted for balance reasons.

Stole this idea from Overwatch ofcourse.

How to stop clone train ?

Play all classes except thief , mes , warrior. I know how to spot real mes from clones but there no opening unless the Mesmer mess up his rotation. Or I wait for help then Mesmer get away most of the time.

Rev don’t have reliable way to rush the real mes down since all the clone will eat 2/3 of DMG done.

Ranger same as above I have to stay away from clone bangs cant get in unless I spec for condi clear.

DH I can give them some pew pew but mes out sustain me.

Ele. just delaying inevitable. Mes stunlock you then game over Or Moaed.

Necro. Need way too specialized build to deal with then you lose the utility for team fight .

Scrapper if Im lucky to get a chain CC mes will port out and re enter after a reset which is not fun since you don’t know how far or the direction of portal.

How to stop clone train ?

Out there in PVP mesmer seems to have unlimited clone thanks to Illusion Reversion / Continuum Split combo. And those confusion stacks is the main source of damage

During the clone train mesmer get many clone like 3-5 clone from a combo never seem to be able to burst them down as well since they got like 10 sec of invulnerability if used the rotation right and end whittle you down till you have to disengage and give them free point cap.

Community hate the map with mechanic though so we are stuck with vanilla combat matching map only.
For conquest stuff spiritwatch will make thief and scrapper OP with their super speed , dash spam and make DH cant sit on point and Chorno gonna have to camp the Orb instead.
Unless people an switch builds with template they are going to hate those maps since they play so different than the normal competitive map.
Sky hammer will make reaper ,druid or any class rely on summon cry cause they dont have a lot of dodge , DH can camp the sky hammer since there only 1 entrance. Ranger can cheese on far points with long bow KB and 1 shot kill any poor sap.

Season almost over - final opinions?

The game feel hella old.Attaching time/season gated AP to get legendary wings make people play just to for the heck of AP.Some AP contradict with each other like getting class win against division cross make people think differently.

I myself feel Ok once reaching Diamond and don’t need to grind anymore. So I only play for Daily class win if its class that have good win rate.

Playing with only Foefire/Forest make me wish to see more new map which is impossible because how balance work here some class/build that not excel in some mode will never get to see where they shine.

And stronghold is a flop with how reper can camp a defesnse lane to the enemy gate as long as there are NPC that keep feeding his shout. Ele healbot make it impossible to kill NPC/Ele because how they buff each other so well.

TL;DR I’m bored with PVP because its stale with no new map and bad balance.
