Wanted to run a potential idea past you all. Comments welcome.

Thanks for this. It’s really nice to have some discussion about the skills before they’re fully ready to ship.

Tome of Courage -> Signet of Courage
Passive: PBAoE Heal every 10 seconds.
Active: Light of Deliverance

How strong is the passive? Is the active the exact same as the current Courage 5 skill?

Hero Points & old characters: breach of trust

I mentioned this on the Reddit thread on the same subject, but… I’m not optimistic.

I have a few alts that have done very little world completion. Some of them didn’t even spend their own skill points for traits, utilizing the account bound trait books I purchased with long established characters.

I expect that my low-completion alts will get the short end of the stick once these changes are implemented. Even though I spent skill points and gold to unlock the traits that I wanted for them, my suspicion is that they’ll have to go out and do hero challenges just to get back to where they are currently.

I’m not pleased with this prospect, but I’m also not holding my breath for a good solution.

Of course on the positive side, this will allow me to be very pleasantly surprised if a good solution does come along.

…..le sigh………………“ask me anything” turned into “here’s what we’re going to tell you”.

Granted there was lots of good things….just maybe, possibly, just a tab bit much messing around which caused topics to linger on longer than they should. That in turn resulted in the general questions…the ask part…to be dropped.

Yeah, I have to say that I was disappointed to hear that.

Still have no idea how the skill point conversion will work or whether it’s worth it to spend/save my skill point scrolls. Still no idea on partial character transitions (level 80 with minimal map completion but many skills/traits unlocked through scrolls/leveling). Still no discussion on equipment.

My first question (“what’s a ‘fair amount’?”) was answered, so I’m thankful for that. Just seems like this AMA was poorly time managed if the actual questions weren’t even touched.

Ready Up: 4/24 - Specializations AMA

A single character who’s done a fair amount of the hero challenges should be able to unlock all of the core specializations, skills, and traits.

1. What’s a “fair amount”? 20% map completion? 50%? 75%?

I’m not too excited by the idea that if I want grandmaster trait X, I have to slog through a kerjillion hero challenges to build up the trait line to that point. Sequential unlocks are not what I’m looking for. In the current system, if I want a grandmaster trait it’s just 10 or 20 skill points (assuming I don’t want to unlock it by the associated activity). Will I have to do more hero challenges than that to unlock grandmaster traits?

2. How will partially unlocked characters work with the new system?

I have some characters that have all skills and traits unlocked. I have several others that are missing traits simply because I didn’t have any use for them in the builds I was running. If my character has only unlocked one adept and one master and one grandmaster trait, how will that look in overall progress? Will I lose the access to that grandmaster trait until I go complete more hero challenges?

3. Can my established characters still help my alts unlock traits?

Currently, if I have an excess of skill points on my necromancer (for example) and I want to make a new necromancer, my old one can buy several account bound trait books. Poof, new necromancer has traits unlocked without needing to spend their own skill points.

4. Considering that the removal of stats from trait lines could significantly alter our desired armor/weapons, will we be able to change the gear we have without having to buy it all again?

When magic find was removed from armor/weapons, we were given the one-time ability to choose the new stats (unless I’m misremembering, which is possible due to the fact that I have the memory of a turnip). Is something similar planned for the trait overhaul? As it stands, my berserker gear is useful in many situations — but sometimes I invest points into trait lines that provide extra defense stats (vitality, toughness, healing). If those stats aren’t tied to the trait lines any more, I might want to change out my berserker armor/weapons to be a bit more tanky. Not at all thrilled by the idea of potentially replacing all of the gear on all of my characters.

I’d ask about the excess skill point conversion, but that’s been asked a few times already. I will mention that I have no desire for mystic forge related materials.

Should I be a Norn Ranger or Human Ranger?

in Players Helping Players

Posted by: Nkuvu.2570

Nkuvu.2570

Honestly, I’d try both.

I like the idea of norn plenty. Though their boasting and ego doesn’t quite fit the way I normally play my character, it’s still interesting. I like their appearances and racial skills and armor.

But I dislike their voice quips, and I dislike the camera. Especially in close quarters like a cave or jumping puzzle. I dislike how slow they feel in comparison to smaller races.

So try both and see if there’s one you prefer. Even if it means playing for a bit, then deleting, and playing the other race a bit.

Lost a Daily

I always thought the point of dailies was that I wouldn’t have to go out of my way to do them.

If I have to stop my normal game play to go jump through the one daily hoop, it’s annoying. Regardless of how I normally play — if I never set foot in WvW, then I should have plenty of non-WvW choices. If I never set foot out of WvW, then I should have plenty of WvW choices. If I want to spend all my time in sPvP, I should have (surprise!) plenty of sPvP choices. And obviously if I split my time, I should have oodles of kaboodles of choices for my daily.

In short, more choices good, less choices bad.

New mail warning concerns

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Nkuvu.2570

Nkuvu.2570

Yumiko, are you speaking about in-game message or mails? The warning is included only in mails, so conversations continue as always.

And this is why I was confused when I read the patch notes yesterday. The patch notes refer to messages, but mean mail. Mail is a message, but a whisper is also a message. Just delivered differently (obviously).

I initially thought that the patch notes meant both. It sounded really obnoxious with whispering, but thankfully that turned out to be a misinterpretation (side note, patch notes should never require interpretation, use exact terminology).

Aside from all that, I do agree with the original post — the wording on the text is unnecessarily alarming, and removing the “Warning” at the beginning would make it seem more informational and less dire.

I can understand the aggressive policy against impersonation. Though personally I’ve never seen anyone try to pass off as official when they aren’t, clearly I can’t see behind the scenes to know how prevalent this is. So even though it does feel heavy handed to me, if there are a number of cases of this happening then I can easily understand the changes.

I do also like the idea of an official welcome message to the game for each new character. Perhaps include a bit of additional information, such as how to look up things on the wiki.

Still, even with just the mines being fixed, the heart is now back to near-normal and much much easier to complete than it was a few days ago.

Invulnerable?? - Thoughtless Boss Mechanics

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Nkuvu.2570

Nkuvu.2570

There are more than one Imp veterans that spawn something called an “altar” (though it’s more just a stick with something on it). When they do, they go invulnerable. That’s been in since launch. The one the OP is talking about is a wee bit more complicated, though. The “altar” can be destroyed very quickly.

And it should be noted that the invulnerable imps continue to attack. Just like the Gravelash.

Honestly I think the biggest problem with fights like this is due to the players not seeing that “invulnerable” icon. And yet they continue to attack even when all the damage numbers they are seeing are things like “immune” and “haha” and “no, stop, that tickles.” And ignoring the extras (altars, minions, vines, whatever) entirely.

But I’m not sure how you can get players to notice the obvious.

Note that the utility slot levels used to start unlocking at level 5. This changed recently, so it sounds like whatever you are reading is a little out of date.

Keep this in mind if you run into other things in your reading source that don’t exactly match up with the current state of the game. You can always double check the game updates page to see if there was any mention of a change (in this particular case, relevant updates would be the September 16th and 9th patches).

Nkuvu.2570

Honestly I think the easiest course of action is what they did in Iron Marches. Success? Failure? It doesn’t matter. You can still proceed with your Living Story.

Sure, it makes little sense in terms of the story itself. I mean, Eir and Braham are impressed that you can destroy the totem. “Oh yeah, really tough, I walked up to it and pressed F. Wheew!” But then again, for the pieces of the crown you can do essentially the same thing — if the event is done, just walk up and press F to sift through rubble. And still you tell Rox that it was no simple stroll to obtain.

I would love to be able to choose the server I’m on. Whether that’s one where the event is intentionally failing, or succeeding, or whatever. I can’t choose that, though, and suggestions to “just change server” are not helpful.

I’d love to see events that reward success and not failure. It makes no sense at all to me that failing an event is in any way better than succeeding.

And I still think it’s easier to change the Living Story parameters to ignore all of that.

None of the options I played with in game disabled the world/map completion tabs. So I wonder, what level is this character? It’s possible that those overall goals are hidden for low level characters.

You can also check the options in the eye icon (that’s in the lower left corner of the map) just to make sure it’s set how you want. But as I mentioned, even disabling all of that and zoning to a new region didn’t turn off the world/local map completion tabs.

Even the rifle isn’t working properly. There’s an earlier thread that talks about this.

In my experience the net shot to capture the minotaurs/salamanders was only working rarely (most of the time the skill was locked, even when the beast dropped to less than 10% health — I ended up having to kill the majority). It made the heart extremely tedious to complete, but eventually possible.

Asura gates for new players?

Thanks for testing that.

I’m going to have to conclude that there was some sort of miscommunication somewhere. Or perhaps use of the interact key was the blocking factor — I have to admit that if I was telling someone to go through a gate, I wouldn’t think to suggest that.

There could be other restrictions for trial accounts, but given the time limited factor of those I’m not overly concerned, personally.

I just really don’t want to be in the position where I tell a new player that they can do something that they really can’t.

Asura gates for new players?

Nkuvu.2570

Hmm… I was planning on buying a new account for myself anyway. I’ll do that tonight, and do a bit of research, then post back.

That would be appreciated.

I can’t tell which gate the experienced player was talking about. This could all simply be a misunderstanding of some sort and maybe the newbie was looking at the gate to the asura personal story (the one that’s right next to the actual gate to Lion’s Arch, or a WvW gate as mentioned already).

Considering that I am getting this story second hand… or third hand, considering that it’s the newbie telling the experienced player relating it to me… I think it’s clear why I’m asking for confirmation.

The wiki page with the level rewards isn’t something I’d seen, but since the wiki is a player-edited source I could easily see it being mistaken if someone used an older account that had the gates unlocked already.

Asura gates for new players?

A recent comment on Reddit mentioned that the asura gate to Lion’s Arch was blocked for a new player. The experienced player led the newbie to the gate, but the newbie couldn’t go through.

I didn’t have any problem with this on a new character recently, traveled from Rata Sum to the Black Citadel with no issues whatsoever. But my account is also old and I have several level 80 characters. Note: If you have an old account and go test right now, your test is inconclusive, just like mine.

I really really hate giving misinformation, particularly to someone that is new to the game. So I’m looking for confirmation on this. Ideally a red post, but I’d also like a million dollars and I don’t think that one’s going to happen any time soon either.

Though for Wayfarer, I think the most commonly overlooked heart is helping Albin with the Jotun. This is just north west of Twinspur Haven — very close to the heart to help the Lionguard, so few people expect one so near.

Condition Applier daily

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

Nkuvu.2570

I am getting inconsistent results for this daily. Running around Metrica Province with a mid-level staff elementalist.

It seems that I only get credit for the daily when I use different conditions successively.

For example. I use Flame Burst to set an enemy on fire. I kill the enemy. I run over and use Flame Burst on something else, and… no daily credit. I kill the something else. I jump underwater and use Steam to blind an enemy and get credit. I use Steam again on something else, no credit. Jump out of the water, use Flame Burst again, and poof, there’s some credit.

Or in short, if I applied burning several times in a row, I would get credit only for the first (even if I’m killing completely different enemies). If I applied burning, then bleeding, then burning again, I’d get credit for all three (regardless of being on the same enemy or different).

For an elementalist, switching up the condition applied is not a significant problem. However it’s not working like it used to (or else my memory is really failing me). And some classes like guardian might have a much more difficult time with this part of the daily rotation.

Cannot use diving goggles

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

Nkuvu.2570

Confirmed. I have this bug on my characters too, despite all of them being level 80. Have not yet tested whether creating a new character and leveling them to 20 with a scroll will bypass it.

I have recently leveled some new characters. Rerolled a few times so I’m not sure which was the actual “solution” to the goggles.

But I leveled a character to about 18 the normal way, doing hearts and events and such. Decided to switch professions for that character, rerolled and used a level 20 scroll.

My level 80 characters can use diving goggles without issue.

Edit: This is a workaround, thus the quoting of the “solution.” Not feasible for anyone that doesn’t have a spare character slot or does not wish to make a new character, so I still think the bug needs to be addressed.

I have done the battle pit plenty of times before this (my preferred way to complete the heart). Before, you’d walk in and get a dialogue with time limited choices for difficulty. If for some reason that didn’t start, you could talk to the battle pit NPC and start it up. Now even if you talk to the NPC, he tells you you’re ready… and then does nothing.

When I put the green trident shaft and bronze trident head into the discovery panel, it claims that five potential recipes can be discovered.

Map population change button

Nkuvu.2570

I was in Metrica Province in the Inner Inquest Complex. I got a notification that the map population was low, but given that I was in combat decided to delay it for an hour.

I left the Inner Complex using the asura gate, planning on map switching once on the other side. However the button to switch disappeared entirely. I continued with my map completion, and an hour later I was in Desider Atum clearing inventory when I suddenly got a loading screen for Metrica Province. Booted from the low population map into one with more players.

I don’t mind the forced map change, I was warned about it. It turned out fine, as I was not in combat at the time. However the loss of the button led me to believe that the asura gate at the cave had actually switched the map for me. After all, there is a loading screen.

I believe the loss of the button to be a bug related to the loading screen (within the same zone), but I don’t know if the same bug would occur with normal waypoint travel across the zone. It may be unique to Metrica Province due to the asura gate.

Edit to add:
And it turns out that the button does disappear for normal waypoint travel. I got a low population notification while getting a skill point in Wayfarer Foothills. Again, since I was in combat opted to delay it. Used a waypoint, and… no more button.

Though in the latter case I made a quick trip into Hoelbrak and back out, and I was not forced to change maps later on.

To be honest, I don’t even know when I unlocked water. Just looked down and poof, there it was. I don’t remember seeing anything in the level-up dialogue, but it could have been the yellow-text along the lines of the “skill unlocked” messages.

This may have been mentioned elsewhere, but just had a passing thought. (apologies, mods, if this is more suited in another thread, I’m sure it’ll be moved/merged as needed)

I’m messing around with a lowbie elementalist for no other reason that “just because I can.” Currently level 3, with just the fire attunement locked. There’s zero indication that I’ll unlock other attunements, or even that they exist.

My suggestion would be to add buttons for the attunements, with the same lock icon that’s used for unavailable skills such as utilities, and indicate when I get them.

I suspect that other special skills might have similar locks (like mesmer shatters), so I don’t think this is restricted to elementalists. But just showing that the game isn’t all about fire fire fire fire fire might be helpful.

Leeches in Dry Top?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Nkuvu.2570

Regarding AFK’ers …
Seems you do not do many world boss events, particularly Tequatl.

You’re right — I haven’t had a chance to go play with Tequatl since the boss revision. I was out of the game for a while. I guess I didn’t realize how prevalent this behavior actually is.

Who cares…they just waiting for the champs to spawn. OP, maybe you should just play your game and mind your own business. Is you life that miserable that you would need to make a dumb thread about nothing every single time?

If someone is AFK and gets a medal for “participating” in an event, it really doesn’t hurt me. And I’m not so uptight about the rules that I’d need to make a thread. When I see a bot or gold seller out in the world I report and move on, no drama necessary.

However, as I mentioned already, the AFK players are actually making my game more difficult. The map I was in last night was trying to get tier 5. We didn’t have quite enough active players to do this easily — and events like the race were failing because the AFK players caused champion Inquest to appear. The Haze escort event was very difficult to keep Haze alive, we had strong enemies and few active players.

The dust mite twister was also difficult, though unrelated to tier progression. We barely had enough time to kill that and move on to Her Shininess — we managed to succeed with just 20 seconds left in the sand storm. Even though other bosses like the Colocal Queen dropped quickly (too far away to be scaled up by AFK players, I am guessing).

I’d love to just mind my own business and ignore them. If I could.

Edit to add:
I should also point out that due to the unique structure of Dry Top and its events, the success or failure of the events on the Wastes doesn’t just affect the people in the immediate vicinity. If a centaur bridge event fails in Kessex Hills, the people on the other side of the zone aren’t impacted. But with the tier system in Dry Top, failure hurts everyone in the zone that wants a higher tier.

They might just be AFK there because its one of the safer places on the map, though, and not be trying to get free event tags at all. That would certainly explain why they’re positioned so poorly. Though it does raise a question of why they’d stay AFK for long periods of time in Dry Top at all. Maybe if they find an organized Dry Top I could see them AFK’ing during the 40-minute build phase then coming back to do the events during the sandstorm for lots of geodes, but most of the people I was seeing were AFK during the storm.

I have a hard time buying that explanation. The Restoration Refuge is much safer. There are zero events that occur inside the refuge itself, the closest being a skritt event just outside (and on the rare occasion that a skritt makes it to the entrance, the guards are usually sufficient to take them out).

Leeches in Dry Top?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Nkuvu.2570

Nkuvu.2570

I haven’t been spending a ton of time in Dry Top recently. Say, within the past two weeks or so. But with the collections, I wanted to get a Twister in a Jar, which means more time there.

And I’ve noticed a large group of people standing near the medical tent at Flatland Wastes. It appears that they’re all AFK, and they generally have something in common. They’re almost all rangers, or necromancers with minions.

I have a strong suspicion that the players are simply AFK entirely, letting their pets/minions participate in the events and reaping the rewards (side note, I’d expect that if the player takes no actions and just lets the pet/minions fight, the player wouldn’t get any rewards, but I’m not sure how it really works).

Of course aside from the obvious “possibly rewarded while AFK” issue, in several instances the active players were working hard to raise the Zephyrite favor — but the number of players at the Flatland Wastes made the nearby events more difficult to complete due to the event scaling up (champion Inquest showing up to the race, for instance, and just a lot of Inquest grabbing crystals). So they’re not just breaking game rules, they’re actually making it worse for the rest of the people in the zone who want higher tiers.

However this all comes with a rather large disclaimer. Given how hectic some of the fights are (especially with low visibility during a sandstorm), I can’t tell for sure if people are truly AFK, or how long they have been that way if so. Maybe they’re just waiting in one spot for events to pop up again rather than running around. Maybe they’re only AFK for a minute for a phone call. Maybe they left for a drink, thinking that with the number of others around it’d be a safe place to stand for a few minutes. Maybe they’re new to the region and see a bunch of people waiting around, so they start waiting around too for the next big thing.

I really dislike the idea of people standing around AFK getting rewards and making my game harder at the same time. But I also don’t want to just start throwing out reports left and right for something I can’t even prove is wrong-doing. So I’m at a loss on what can be done to remedy this situation. If there even should be something done.

I used to use that approach. But all too often, when landing my character would just slide down the rest of the slope. Bam, dead.

So now I watch my health as I walk down the treacherous hills. As soon as I take any damage, stop all movement and hold my breath until the game figures out that I’m not falling from a great height.

Somewhere in there, I got a drop called Supplejack. This was a blue quality consumable that let me choose some different staff flavors. Mighty, resilient, and two others I forget now.

Why is this a bug? Because the staff was a level 8 blue staff. No, not 80. Eight.

I don’t mind getting low level drops if I’m in Queendsale on my level 80. But if I’m in a high level area there’s no reason at all to give me drops like this.

I didn’t even notice it until after I had salvaged the rest of the weapon and armor drops in my bag, so I can’t tell if other drops were low level or not. This one just stuck out because I hadn’t seen it before. And given the fact that the dropped version isn’t even on the wiki, I’m guessing it’s brand new.

Come get a nice quiet apple!

Oh wait. We lost an apple seller. No, not that one. The other one.

Farmer Eda in Queensdale no longer sells apples for karma. The only option now is to buy them from the kid in Gendarran Fields. Except he sells them for coin (16 copper), and individually. Have fun clicking buy 25 times instead of once.

I can’t imagine that this was an intended change.

(side note: Her apple pie recipe is also missing, unfortunately)

Did they mess with targeting?

Just a quick update. I’ve had a lot of problems with “target nearest” picking up things behind me. However “target next” seems to be working a lot like nearest used to. More testing to be done on my part, but I’ve reversed the keybinds for these and haven’t had too many problems. So far.

Something to try, anyway, in case this is now working as intended.

Salvage-o-matic voice clips broken.

Not the only sound bug. Captain Weyandt (of the Weyandt’s Revenge (a.k.a. pirate) jumping puzzle in LA) is suddenly silent.

But have had a silent salvage-o-matic for a while now. After the first patch, you’d hear the very beginning of the salvage-o-matic’s lines, but suddenly quieted or cut off. Now I hear nothing at all.

Nebo Terrifying!

Yep. Participated in one of these. Everything was going fine, until the wave of trampling champion centaurs came in. About a dozen players went from all alive to all dead faster than you could say “Hey guys, it’s tramplin’ time!”

I don’t mind difficult events. Helped with the capture of the Temple of Balthazar earlier today (one fail, one success). But Nebo Terrace is just… harsh.

Then again, I do have to admit that it may just be a factor of getting used to the way it works. I think it would be interesting to see the ratio of fail/success after a week or two. Right now, it seems like 100% fail/0% success, but I have to wonder if that will change as time goes on.

Adrenaline has been BUTCHERED!

in Warrior

In normal game play, I can’t even use my burst skill with full adrenaline. The build-up is too slow, and by the time I have a full bar of adrenaline, my target is dead.

And even in enemy-dense areas, I can’t move quickly enough between enemies to retain any of my previous adrenaline, so start from zero every time.

Adrenaline skills are pretty close to useless now. I can use them for champions, but that’s about it. Some veterans, unless there are other players nearby.

I’m really disappointed with this change, it makes my warrior feel pretty darn worthless.

Huge performance hit since patch (FPS)

This latest update has been a large hit for me performance-wise. Normally, my framerate was almost always over 60 or 70 (I don’t really keep too close of an eye on it, it’s not typically an issue). With obvious drops for things like large world boss events, but even then it wasn’t too bad.

I’m seeing a lot of FPS stuttering as I run around, though. And earlier this afternoon I was doing one of the two new hearts in Plains of Ashford. Nothing particularly significant happening in the world that I could see, but my game sounds cut out. Then my framerate steadily dropped. When it was down to about 10 FPS, I decided to quit and restart the game. Only to find that I couldn’t exit, something was lagging. Checked the task manager, and GW2 was using 1.2 GB of RAM (and climbing).

[suggestion] Pay a fee (gold) to change stats

So to reiterate just to make sure I understand properly…

Say you have a sword with Carrion stats, and want to make it Berserker. You’d talk to the stat-changin’-NPC, pay a small fee, and poof! Berserker sword. I would guess the fee would be less expensive than buying a whole new sword.

Sounds good to me. Switching stats for other builds can be expensive, particularly in regards to swapping out an entire armor set and weapons and trinkets.

Town Clothes as an Outfit

Town Clothes as a suit, not outfit. You can custom each piece with suits, you can’t with outfits.

Well I think this would be ideal and certainly my preference if possible. However the mixing and matching sounded like it was problematic.

So I’d be happy with a compromise, of a town clothes outfit rather than individual pieces.

Diving goggles level gated?

Are you serious? OP must be trolling. Anyone have proof?

I wish I was trolling. Then there might be some comedy here (aside from the Bohemian Rhapsody attempt early in the thread (edit: And aside from dace’s incredible post that I can’t believe I forgot to mention. That was great.)).

I don’t currently know what level the goggles unlock, unfortunately. But I read about this gate on Reddit, and had to make a character for myself to see.

First: Which map is that?
Second: I think you can use them by level 7 which seems to be when they make certain others things visible/available to new players.
Third: I think this is something that isn’t supposed to be gated from vet players.

First: This is a shot taken in Rata Sum, near the Idea Incubation Lab.
Second: If you ask me, items that have a level gate should clearly state when you can use them. Regardless of how silly I think this is, a better message would be “You can’t use this item until level X”.
Third: What’s the point of gating it even to new players? They’re diving goggles. Not rocket surgery.

I was wondering the same thing, actually.

I took a character to do the jumping puzzle in Caledon Forest — the Spelunker’s Delve one. And I was trying to target the trolls coming up to try to eat my face, but kept targeting the barracuda in the passage under me.

I’ve run into several places where “target nearest” seems to grab things behind me. And although I can agree that this is sometimes technically correct, it seems to be different than previous behavior. I’m unsure if that’s by design or accident.

Misconceptions regarding Level gating.

Vistas are not locked. They’re visible to level 2 characters, and function as normal.

The icons are a little hard to see, but they’re still perfectly identifiable. Edit: p.s. The icons appear the same way to a level 80 character.

I honestly thought you were joking OP until I saw the screenshot – that’s completely absurd. I thought, I mean, I knew GW2 is a themepark, but this is like nailing your feet to the tracks.

As I said earlier, I wish I was joking. This just boggles my mind.

Why u do dis anet? Isn’t GW2 about the adventure? About not leveling just from the grind – but the cool concept of leveling via adventuring? What’s the point of level gating diving goggles? Anyone have a logical explanation?

My best guess is that this is simply a side effect of removing bundle items from low levels. After all, your weapon skills are replaced with diving skills. And bundle items are somehow too complex.

But I don’t understand that change, either.

Really? I mean, really really?

Honest question time. What part about bundle items was so confusing? Was it combat? Was it having a bunch of new skills when you picked up something? Or maybe the sparkles on the ground for bundle items was too distracting?

I’m trying really hard to even fathom what kind of confusion you might get from diving goggles. They’re not in combat locations, you only get two skills. They’re not even abundant in low level areas, so they can’t be that distracting (unless you walk into a city).

But new characters are simply told “you cannot use that item now.”
