The pick is a seperate issue, the armor is purely looks.

trogdor, that would require a lot more work and time than they really have, and if they did a new set for just the light armor, the medium and heavy people would cry out too. and there would still be people who didn’t like the new armor. They made a mistake with the first set, and they’re trying to fix it accordingly.

Yeah, I’m hoping i can trade the radiant stuff I got for the other hellfire stuff. I really want destroyer armor. But it’s looking like I’ll have to wait a bit longer to get it, as I don’t think they’d let me trade them, kind of sucks but I’m pretty sure that’ll be the case

I just want to mention really quickly, reskinning the t3s of other races wouldn’t work for sylvari who already have a glow option, and probably not on asura either. They shouldn’t have touched cultural armor to begin with, and the other sets not being cultural, it was just wrong and weird.
and to the guy who made incinerators to go with it. you have 2 legendaries, congrats. That is literally a non issue. there’s still cof armor if you really don’t like feathered armor that much.

Depends on the charr in question, back in the day, Rytlock gave Logan a Blood Legion amulet that symbolically made him a part of Rytlock’s warband. If a human is able to join a charr’s warband (even symbolically), I don’t see why a norn, whose race gets along more better with charr than humans do, can’t.

As for siege turtles, I don’t see why not, the luxons and kurzicks may be gone but no reason to stop using juggernauts and turtles; however, they are on another continent, Cantha.

While there might not be any reason to stop using siege turtles there is certainly one to stop using juggernauts. Each one of those requires sacrificing a person.

They turned into the juggernaut though, i’m pretty sure there’d be a list of people willing to do that.

I don’t know if it could happen in this update; however, scarlet does have a portrait with knives thrown at it, and it looks like that one asura from the constortium, and ellen kiel is worried about the consortium still. Think there could be a connection, or am I just pulling things out of thin air?

This. It won’t be perfectly balanced, i mean on na side, if you get blackgate and sor as the same color, providing they’re somehow not in the same match up, that will be a lot of people for that color alone; however, it still shouldn’t be bad.

No, both of those are done now. I went to each last night and there were about 30 people for Marionette (protip, you cannot clear Marionette with 30 people), and I’m not sure exactly how many people showed up for the Wurm event but it ended almost instantly after it started. They are just over with now, so there needs to be something else to do.

the vast majority of this games updates have been pve, and even still, the edge of the mists, they keep saying outright, most of the achievements won’t be in the edge of the mists.

Not sure junundu will be in full force, as the damming of the elon kind of screwed a lot of the desert on that side, they might not be doing so well in a, what I guess would be, a now forested area.

The Desolation was full of Sulphur, I’m not so sure that it would be forest’s now given that the Elon should technically be an Acid river :S

Harpies were my first guess, but wouldn’t largos also be possible? I feel largos kodan would make more sense than harpy kodan.

Plus, I sort of get the feeling largos might get along with tengu, not sure why, maybe like an honor system they could agree with, but having them be violent against us, don’t see that happening.

How exactly would an expansion help the pvp? Possibly a new profession that they’d have to consider balance for, and new skills. Yeah, that wouldn’t be a mess at all. And I would love to see any source for information on a new expansion, as far as I’ve been keeping up, unless you mean super long term.

Look at the complete overhauls that were made in each of WoW’s expansions. I agree with the OP, in order to revive the competitiveness of PvP a complete overhaul is required.

Currently the game suffers from a number of flaws:
- Much customization leading to lack of predictability.
- Too much sustain
- Too much damage immunity
- Too much CC immunity
- Damage is largely reliant on conditions and AI. Passive persistent damage. This is the only reliable source of damage due to the high level of sustain and the high level of damage immunity sources.

Tower defense like in Smite would not work in this game because it would be like five Chang’es vs. five Chang’es.

My top 3 would be new skills, new weapon skills, and new armors not in the gemstore. New skills could lead to a power creep I suppose, but I feel the new healing skills we got recently were very nicely done.

Other than the females armors chest being exposed, really chest has differences, and there not being the bones and skeletal stuff, I can’t really see much difference between concept art and execution.

I’m really hoping one day we’ll be able to sell the materials we didn’t use because, let’s face it, there’s still rng with the crafting where you’ll often end up with stuff you already had opposed to the one outcome you were looking for.

I just want skyhammer gone from solo queue. It’s a great map in terms of just having fun and messing about, too bad it’s also a farm map. for a lot of people, including myself, there is just a lot of joy to be had pushing or pulling someone off the map. So please, keep it hotjoin.

Yeah, I killed a Tengu by accident because of the perplexity runes. He was grabbing a snowball, the he took a hit and died a moment after. And he does not respawn, as it seems.

Well, atleast we know why Tengu aren’t a playable race. That answers that!

They don’t have access to the waypoints, and with this homicide, I can’t foresee them being any more trusting of other races in the future. Poor tengu.

I don’t remember where I got this impression but it’s stuck with me: Gnomes are the illusionist-ish race with the bond with an animal. It is because of that, I can’t see asura in anyway similar to gnomes.

And it’s not like gw dwarves are like other dwarves.

I have over 1k gold (in items I could easily sell), and I barely ever play this game. I got my entire t3 human set off one exotic weapon drop in PvE. It isn’t that difficult, really.

I’d just say PvE for the gold (if you have a level 80 its not that hard) and it’ll be pretty easy.

Does the full set just cost 60g alone? Or does it cost glory as well (and how much).

the only thing I can think of that diamond skin might slow down is dhuumfire/terror necros, but even then it just means different skill rotation until they’re at 90%

I’m pretty sure the Charr are the GW equivalent of Orcs. Asura would be the dwarves I guess, with a slight sci-fi twist to them.

Yeah, but the gw2 dwarves aren’t the typical dwarves, they’re all stone and I want to say hivemind, but with how ogden is, i’m not so sure. Either way, the dwarves aren’t like other fantasy dwarves.

What is with all the whining about Ascended armor being needed for fractals. To me that is the worst argument here.

1. Fractals are not meant for everyone. It was always somewhat of a gear grind to progress in fractals to begin with. How long of a road was it grinding fractals every day to get all the infused rings, back piece (then the subsequent infusion) and all the mist essence you need to upgrade?

2. A very very small percentage of the player base plays high level fractals. Why on earth do any of you feel anet should base the acquisition of ascended armor on the 0.01% of GW2’s population that would actually “need” ascended armor?

3. Anet just remade fractals less than 2 weeks ago. It took them over a year to even think of updating them. Do you really think new, more agony intensive fractals are coming out anytime soon? They have so many other things on their plate at the moment including precursor crafting, continuation of the LS, ascended jewelry, so on and so forth……

I would venture to say that new fractals that require more agony resistance won’t be seen for at least 6 months. Even the most casual of casual players can have a set of ascended armor by that time.

Enough is enough with all the QQing about every little thing. I don’t grind for mats and I don’t play wvw. I run dungeons and hit the occasional world boss if I am in the area or hear about it in guild chat and I have so many t7 mats it isn’t funny. Coming from a pretty casual player, I don’t see how anyone at this point doesn’t have a ton of this stuff.

I think some people are totally missing the point of the type of goal ascended gear is supposed to provide.

It provides an LONG TERM end game goal related to character progression, infact is the only end game goal that offers a stat progression instead of aesthetics. The materials needed to get it encourages play throughout all areas of the game.

The 3 ascended materials for obsidian refinement you can earn doing world bosses, dungeons, fractals, world vrs world, and killing champs/opening chests any where in the open world.

Having max crafting, something that most of use used throughout our leveling process now offers a continuation for end game. They would have a hard time adding armor acquisition methods outside of drops to other areas of the game because crafting acts as a time, effort, and money gate.

Materials of all tiers that would have to be gathered in all areas of open world, in world vrs world, or via gold through your favorite income producing activities. Even salvaged from items.

It is a grind only if you make it a grind, if you must have it ASAP and the only means you find acceptable to obtain that is the fastest most tedious way possible, and that bothers you, that is not the game’s fault, that is your fault. You are in no way forced to grind out gold and materials in a champ farm or any of the popular farms, nor are you gated from any content from not having ascended weapons and armor.

I for one certainly don’t plan on focusing on obtaining my armor in the first week or even the first month, as I am a die hard anti-farm player. Having already done 3 weapons, I know ascended armor will eventually fall in my lap if I just participate in multiple areas of the game, save, and keep doing what I find fun with my guild.

Long term goal is well and good (but personally, I think ascended is too far up the scale on ‘long term’, it could definitely be easier to get and still be a long term goal) but why gate content behind this “long term goal”? If you’re running fractals, you’ll NEED this armor once the cap goes up.

My friends that barely play the game can’t do high level fractals with my group anymore because agony is such a killer now. Hell, I can’t even do 40 because I haven’t gotten around to grinding for ascended weapon crafting.

LOL you need this armor for fractals? I did not realize all those people that have already hit the level 50 fractals have ascended armor before its out! Its funny to watch people bend over backwards to try to make an argument make since.

You can get as much AR as you need from fractals with rings, accessories, and back peices, especially with the new AR infusions.

just putting this out there, it’s cheaper to craft ascended armor than the infusions at a point.

And on another note, the time gating per account is really frustrating when you have alts you actively use.

oh if the dervish forms came into gw2 as armor I would be so happy, that might convince me to buy gems for some of them. But then again, why do a full set of armor for 800 when you can sell just the hood for 500.
