Daredevil elite skill, Impact Strike, is too slow to finish off Mesmers, Elementalists, and Thiefs using their downed skill 2s. Even with the launch from the second hit they still have enough time to escape the finish. Don’t know if this was the intent but this skill seems unnecessary with its current state considering how it leaves a Daredevil wide open to attacks. It’s much more practical to use blinds, Shadowstep, or stealth to stomp still.
I was able to catch mesmers and eles off guard not expecting the the launch, it sort of messes up there timing,
but i did have a thief port out of it, almost like mid air.
Healing skill looks strong, highest base out of all them even on the low end, and doing the math,
you got a 1.125 scale on the low heal and 1.5 and high end. Both which are also the highest out of all of them, just in a few pug matches and if you time it right you can get a lot of use out of it
vault and steal does work, you kinda got to steal right before you leave the ground.
plus i wouldnt expect you to dodge out staff #2, your not able to dodge out of most if not all movement based skills

So some stuff on the dodging.
First of any else feels that the dodge from Bounding Dodger and Unhindered Combatant feels way slower to execute?
Second why don’t Bounding Dodger and Unhindered Combatant and Lotus Training change the dodging for Withdraw and Roll for initiative?
Withdraw and RoI are just evade, they dont really count as dodges, they don’t use your endurance bar.
i didn’t really notice the difference with how fast they do it, still feels like 3/4 of a sec. though they did seem like it makes your character stop at the end of each one for a split sec, especially after bound, not so noticeable on the other 2
2 other things I’ve notice,
one minor would be that all the dodges makes your character face the opposite direction if you dodge back, can’t say i like it or not, or that it makes a big difference atm. but it’s weird and not quite used to it.
the other is that bounding dodger doesn’t really do much if your dodge rolling away from the target from melee range,

A little bored, waiting for the beta to start,
Has anyone else been doing the math to see what it would be like if we still had the old feline grace with this new spec + the vigor trait?
It’s kinda gross how many dodges in a 10 sec period we would have gotten lol, i know people are still upset with the nerf, I am too, but it would have been like 5-6 dodges. More with a few other traits.
Make shield #4 crit as hard as thrown torch #4 or blasted focus #5 and I will definitely be using it on roaming powermedi. Unfortunately Robert Gee posted on the Mesmer forums saying that shields in general aren’t designed to do high dps.. Sadface
not everything can be design for high dps
Throw gunk has got to be my favorite stolen skill, pretty good with any kind of condi build
I also always use them, used them so much that if i try to use anything else, i will instinctively hit F1 if i want to heal, and that doesn’t work out :\.
No point changing my habits now.The question is, do you ever find yourself using medkit 1# and have you saved someones life with it?
I usually find my self being selfish with it, giving my self Swiftness, resistance, Condi cleanses. I hate that now you got to throw them instead of placing them at your feet, though I have thrown the swiftness and resistance ones towards allies to help them out when they got into trouble.
I sometimes use the spray heal to save a keep lord or those dudes in SW, which makes me feel all fuzzy inside

1)find target
2)shadow refuge
3)shadow step up to target
4)Hook strike
5)/Laugh
6) run away
7)rinse and repeat
Driven Fortitude and Escapist’s Absolution both mitigate damage. One by recovering a small amount of health and one by removing the source of damage. They both trigger on evade and both have a 1 sec ICD.
My question: If by making Escapist’s Absolution a minor would increase the ICD, then shouldn’t Driven Fortitude have a longer ICD?
I would argue that cleansing a high stack of burn or torment is a bit more valuable than a 450 heal :/
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ like i keep saying, there is no competition here.
and i would also argue that dodging that burn in the first is a bit more valuable than a cleanse

Great, then it becomes a Minor and gets a hugely increased ICD to compensate, and we have more whining posts about how we’re back to needing SA to reliably remove conditions.
You are all so smart.
why do people keep mentioning an ICD… It doesn’t need any compensation whatsoever.
Come on man. People will revert back to SA because that’s true. If thieves can’t keep the status quo with DD, then the only logical step is to revert back to that Trait line that offered that condition soap.
It’s going to be as effective as a typical D/P pulling to combo, to gain stealth and clean himself. It’ won’t be OP, even with 3 dodges.
1 sec CD on a trait that clean condi on evade. what’s outrageous about turning this into a minor?
How long is Withdraw? 3/4 sec of a sec. you’ ll be cleaning +1 condition
RFI? 3/4 of a sec. same thing for this skill. We need this to be a minor. It’s not even an advantage tbh and it’s FAR from OP.
It just a reliable condi clean trait that is erroneously placed. I vote either Adept or Minor.
It not about what we want, it’s about what Anet will do, I’ve known this company and the way they balance for 8 years, I know they will up the ICD if it becomes a minor.
That’s just a given,
Rangers have something similar with early beta, and it had a 10sec ICD, before they deciding to have it only remove stuff like blind and cripple, and that’s a major.
Eles have it too, removes only burning and chill, Major adept, 10 ICD
I’m surprise this doesn’t have a 10icd already.

I can see why they did it like that, people will know that animation will kill them out right. Can’t really deviate from it too much,
One suggestion though would be as you jump you do a flip and something like a heel kick to the ground.
Something to that effect, and ya try and get rid of the Iraq half the animation. And yeah keep the banners and other finishers, this with the SAB one would be amazing.
Well, did a lot more damage then I was expecting, still not a whole lot tbh
You’ll more likely want the 2 sec stun. Wonder if it will stack with the trait. If it can, maybe up it to do up to 2500, potentially 5k every 20ish sec in theory
If not then 3000-3500 would be alright
Edit: Actually the whole combo does quite a lots if you can hit with everything

I know, it’s a “wait and see” thing, I just don’t have too high hopes, anet doesn’t like giving a lot of damage to utility skills,
At least with a 100% crit, it’s able to help with procs.
For all purposes, DD gets more like 4 dodges than 3 since F1 will give you one dodge instantly.
Also, you make the same mistake many players do about conditions and direct damage. You can dodge direct damage. You can also dodge condition applying skills.
Condition removal is the equivalent of toughness for direct damage. Dodge is dodge and works the same for both like Vitality.
Tend to agree if with this line of thinking, We’re going to be dodging a lot, surely we can dodge a few nasty skills,
This trait is “on evade” anyways, so your have going to actually dodge something.Oh wow, I just noticed that. That actually makes it even ‘more’ powerful, because if you’re using something like S/D or S/P (or Shortbow 3), you’re going to be just constantly stripping off conditions.
1 sec icd, but ya, we are not limited to our actually dodge bar, this trait as is would be way too strong as a minor,
If it were to become a minor, i could see Anet putting a 10 sec icd on it. and no one wants that.
What would the harm be for this skill to actually crit ?
If you think about it, a hard hit to the lungs would do some critical damage would it not?
What if it had a 100% chance to crit? of course it would have to be balanced as such, but we could actually get more out of it with our sigils and traits

they probably didn’t have anyone lined up,
but decided to give it away in a “Leaked” data mined instead.
Any one else thought of the Diablo 3 monk with Fist Flurry?
Edit: Pulmonary impact should totally crit….. Like 100% (numbers balanced for it ofc), what’s more critical then exploding lungs?

I likes it
I would like to it go back up to 2 boon steal, it went to 1 before chain went from 3-2 to 4-1 initiative.
Wait, we do have a way to apply burning…?
not really, but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be in the poll. it’s a good way to see if people are happy without burning or want access to burning (anyone who says less however, is a kitten ed fool.)
They just want less then zero burns, this that so much to ask for? -1 stack of burn, cleanse a enemy’s burn, that’s what we really need.
I’m surprised how many responses this gotten, Also surprised no one loved assassin,’s retreat, it was really good trait, 2 min of swiftness, yes pls, (pve applicable)
You may not be aware but currently, the well trait has been changed and does not cleanse conditions. Because of that you do not have any AOE cleanse except for your heal.
Well, the shatter AoE cleanse and heal is good too… but what does the Well trait do now?
All’s Well that Ends Well: Changed functionality. This trait now grants 2s of alacrity to allies standing within the well when the well ends.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/mesmer/Chronomancer-Changes-for-Next-BWE
you can have one of the trench coats from the medium armours, don’t need to give anything back in return…. just take them….. pls.
Odd that they tried to make other Elite specs do things that the base class was lacking in but not for Warrior. It can be condi based or raw damage. If the focus was on condis, then why call it berserker? If it’s amplifying raw damage, the warrior isn’t lacking in that area at all.
The name was a bad choice given the popularity of zerk gear. Oh well.
The spec looks cool though.
I would have called it “Savage” or “Barbarian” or “Demolisher” or “Blitzkrieger” or anything but berserker.
Maybe they want to change berserker gear to power main/precision/condition damage
There was some really fun things you could do with reflect back in the day,
Like if you reflected a thief’s shadowshot (d/p3) you actually teleport to the thief instead and they would take the big hit from it, was a good was to catch a person before they ran into a keep. Sadly they made those types of skills in blockable,.
I think there still some crazy things you could to to break reflect.

The space between “Dare” and “devil” would make me cringe though.
That’s too bad, because Dare space devil is my jam
Name: Assassin’s Reward
Rating: F
Comment: This has probably the worst heal scaling in the game. It might exist to compliment Signet of Malice but the healing it provides, given max healing and constant use of initiative gives thieves an HPS of ~200-300 hp per second over an extended period of time. And we are constantly out of initiative in the process. It won’t really help us survive long term even when we already have Invigorating Precision.
Suggestion: Instead of healing, provide 12s of 1 might on successful evade with a 1s CD. This will help evasion builds have a better chance in the DPS race and put it on par with Don’t Stop. The healing base and scaling on this trait is just not going to work.
A quick suggestion for this trait would be to add some condi removal on top of the healing,
Like remove 1 condition for every 4-5 initiative spent, that’s like 2-3 condis every 10 seconds if we keep attacking.

Some data mined info on reddit, seem almost legit.
Dare devil…….not as bad as dragon hunter at least :P
Reading around the sub here and there’s been some talk about wanting a break bars on all of the over loads.
And i got to ask is that something you really want?
On the Revenant’s shield, breaking that means a 2 second stun and 25 stack of Vul.
I don’t know if that applies to every break bar though.
Still even if eles fart condi cleanses, is that something you want to go through with all your overloads?
I haven’t played the last BWE so i don’t know what happen when the earth one pops.
Player goes down, activates “help me”
Shiro: I have in-slaved countless soul, killed emperors, and cripple two nations…….. And now I’m bound to you -_-.
Front line support role? so like a guardian…. with a potentially better shield?
I think it would be cool
I predict warriors are going to be next, then another month later we’ll get the rev’s elite spec, then maybe month before release we will start getting the medium step children…I mean profession’s specs
It be kind of funny if the water overload creates a big enough water bubble to put you in water combat :P
Legendary Envoy Stance or Legendary Betrayer Stance?
Legendary Assassin Stance
just in time for the beta…….oh wait ;P
Why?
They moved the stats from the traits, made some of it base, (1000 base power instead of 926)
And the rest was put into the the relative gear sets.
I guess that’s just this update, because the amount of nerfs thieves have gotten over the years will put that list to shame.
That gear shield is amazing tho, favorite skill on the engi, nothing like throwing that on and watching 15 blocks pop up in 3 sec,
This is great and all but can we finally get that Quaggan genocide we’ve all wanted since launch, please? Where’s Peter Fries when you need him? Take action friend!
On it.
Nooooo!
FooOoo!
Quaggans are people too! Not food!
You say that now until 500 cooking comes out, and we’re eating fried quaggans skin stew
I know in the circumstances I shouldn’t say this but.. well I just gotta let it be known.
I dislike the blue Quaggans, I much prefer the pink ones… but I can’t manage to eat more than one in a serving!
Killer whale ones are really rare, but if you see one. Get your club out, because the meat is so juicy, the skin is worth as much as a precursor, and there’s buyer in the black market for the teeth because they think it can be used for come kind of herbal medicine.

At random first thing I did after patch was try spamming SB#4 on a skale. The poison couldn’t get past it’s regen. A mere second or 2 after fields drop the dang lizard is no longer poisoned. What the heck is the point now?
Where was this skale, If it was queensdale or other low level zone it understandable because it scales down your condi damage a lot,
And those kitteners have insane regen :P
Give me back my feline grace, I feel slow as a necro,
No decent human being deserves that faith DX…
That means it’s actually worth taking now. YAY!!! :-D
Go stack those poisons!!!
Inb4 update that “fixes the bug”
What’s the purity of pistols?
