At least the rifle is good on sniper warriors and bunker engies. There are far kittentier weapons, just look at the torch, only used by a single class in a specific build.
Well isnt gonna help you bunkering up a point, they’ll just dodge out and range you to death. The protection period is very short.
The cleric amulet is worthless. Just look at how the stat change. Cleric, 1014 healing from DI woop woop… And you got 21.4K HP. With Sentinel, you have 715 healing and 30.7K HP. Yeah… I think you can do the math yourself there.
I think you got wrong focus on your build. Healing isnt enough to bunker up unless you can have 5000 healing power or something. And you cant. What you want is avoidance (energy sigils ftw) and something that keep your foes busy, cc or damage. Not much if you bunker, but just enough. The only necro bunker I’ve met that did anything of worth was a minion master bunker and man was he annoying to try to take down with all the critters running around, even as a power necro lol.
Any kind of condition build is also going to slaughter you.
But hey what do I know, go ahead and try it anyway. Its PvP, its free.

Incidently, a lockdown Mesmer is also one of the worst foes a Necromancer can face. Its no wonder that you win if he’s out of life force. Imagine running a Mesmer and you’re suddenly out of clones. Cant generate any more for 20+ seconds. Yeah. You’re gonna drop like a stone. At least in WvW I would say its the Necros mistake if he engage without any lf at all (just killing like 3 white rats running out of spawn should give 50%), PvP is far worse and put the Necro at a severe initial disadvantage against a clone pooping Mesmer. I’ve had PvP duels with Mesmers that where intense for a minute and I’ve been killed in 2 seconds by them because no lf.
August is by far the most likely time period for release. I could imagine it earlier, but the summer time is pretty bad for release. If so, early summer instead… but thats not so much time left.
A december release is only likely if they suddenly remember they forgot to make half the content.
Merging all 3 borders would mean we’re one map short, ie disaster for high pop servers filling all the borders.
Personally I think that this new map should just replace the border of the server with the lowest glicko in the matchup. Call it a free handicap. The lowest server should never have to defend a home border.
I dont really get this change… so shadowstep will barely work on anything but flat terrain and clean LoS, just like how blink and every other teleport in the game already works?

Not true at all. Its the two-combo punch that actually wins in sPvP when it comes to the fights – one hybrid that bring stability/cc and one that bring damage to roll over the enemy. One stomper, one killer.
IMO zerker is the most fun build for all classes. They bring high pace high action combat. You rely on quick thinking and tactics. A duel between two very good zerkers is far more interesting to watch than two bunkers.
But unfortunetly Anet built PvP around standing on a point so meh.
If you are soloqueueing, then it should naturally move towards 50% win/loose ratio. But sometimes rng will screw you over. Look at the team buildups and try to see whats always missing. A common thing with the dailies is poor class stacking of mediocre dps players. A single decent bunker basicly determines who win.
The upper level of the world is literally just that, the upper level. Central Divinity for example. Not sure about the early game, but I dont think they ever meant to add proper flying physics, despite of course showing Apache attack helicopters attacking The Shatterer, hehehe. Just look at how utterly clunky the Arah story mission is.
Today, adding gliding is probably more of a “look at us, we can compete!” thing. And add a whole new series of gemstore items to sell, of course. Pls copy the sloth from AA Anet.

7 of my characters are pre NPE, while one is post.
Its utter hell to level that ranger. I literally have no traits at level 50 because I used a 20 scroll, some tomes, spent all my skillponts on skills and… realize that traits cost a buttload of skillpoints as well. The achievement demands for them are ridiculus.
The NPE in current GW2 is sPvP all day long, then use the tomes and skillpoint to get PvE skills.
On the upside, sPvP has tons of people compared to before, lol.

Give us 4 different shapes instead and you quadruple the amount of options while still keeping it simple.
Join a blue commander on Eternal Battlegrounds or EoTM and you’ll be fine, just dont follow any guild groups. The very presence of upscales can make them loose a fight.
I would highly recommend staying out of WvW until 80, do sPvP and PvE instead to learn your class. Getting to 80 is easy, explore a map, do a couple of story missions, repeat.

So necro and mesmer need to be babysat, and other classes don’t, and that’s ok? You just need to devote a whole team effort to keep them alive, something that is not true of the meta classes at all.

This is precisely why i never use full zerker. You will often benefit more from the damage reduction from the toughness stat mixed in than doing 14% more damage when you are already doing high damage.
Its not like doing 14% more damage than a hybrid means you will be able to two-shot everything and everyone so sacrificing survivability for that small increase is really pointless.
A hybrid that only does 14% less damage than a zerker is barely a hybrid…
Its not so easy to just look at a single stat. Zerker is about power, precision, ferocity, sigils, runes, skill and traits. Compared to your average hybrid, a zerker maybe only have 20% more crit damage, true… but he will also have 20% higher base damage, traited to do 20% more damage, choose weapons that do 20% more base dps and have 20% more crit chance to use that ferocity. etc and so on. It adds up to alot more damage.
Yes. Lets take the best burster, the class with 40K effective hp and the one that can kill other classes by pushing button 2 on every cooldown and buff them. They sure need it.
Few really care how they perform in the top 1% min-max-or-die-eSports-wannabe segment. All the classes do fine in normal sPvP. If perfectly equal is required, Anet should simply remove all classes from sPvP and give us a single class with preset skills. A Warrior with only 1 skill (auto-attack) on a 0/0/0/0/0 spec would be fine I think. Sword and sheild as only weapons. No weapon swapping, cant be unfair.

An expansion costing $49.99 is insane unless it bring alot content. Alot of content. Like, a full standalone game worth of content. That’s what GW2 cost on release kitten . If you go onto Steam right now, that’s almost what Witcher 3 cost. Batman Arkham Knight, same cost.
Are you honestly going to tell me that this expansion – which seems fairly contained and most of it is nothing spectacular as we’ve seen more free patched content over these 3 years – is supposed to be worth as much as a full AAA title???

The map itself looks HUGE. Like 1.5-2x the the size of a regular Borderland. The dry canyon, the lush oasis, the burning ghost area (?), it all seems so massive
Its probably going to be the exact same size. The reason it looks “huge” is the same reason why EoTM looks huge compared to a border – far better design. Current borderlands are incredibly simplistic, consisting of only 2 flat terrain levels. Wouldnt surprise me the slightest if this new border is actually smaller in size than current maps.
Sylvari will remain Sylvari but more of them probably join the Nightmare Court which is obviously going to be fighting on Mordremoths side.
I honestly dont see why people would be confused since the Sylvari has had an evil side all along, just like the Asura have the Inquest, Norn have Sons of Svanir, Charr has the Flame Legion and Humans have… fancypants nobles.
What I would like to see: HoT ~$20, GW2+HoT combo pack ~$50. This change would also mean a permanent inclusion of HoT in all GW2 purchases, regular GW2 only packs are phased out. Still selling GW2 for something like $45 is ridiculous (its a sale now I know). Pre purchase options for HoT should include some minor bonuses, such as a free character slot for the new class.
That will pretty much get all current GW2 players to buy HoT and make it very enticing for those that doesnt have GW2 to get the full package. No need to split the community like so many expansion packs does.
If they make it more expensive, like $40 just for HoT its not going to be anywhere near as popular. More people = more gemstore income over years to come. That’s what its all about.
Just add about 100-150ms to your EU ping. Thats how “bad” it is. doesnt matter so much in lazily playing PvE but its gonna annoy you in sPvP and WvW If you are the type hat notice it.
The very point of exclusive fullscreen is to lock it the active monitors and allow your videocard to properly hook into it (unlike borderless windowed mode, which is utter kitten and not recognized as a real application by the hardware).
If you want a quick move while the game is still visible, use alt+enter instead of alt+tab. This change it to windowed mode. Do it again to go fullscreen. GW2 is pretty good in that loading time is next to nothing when doing it (some games reload everything and takes minutes when swapping)
Mesmer can do plenty of damage. It’s very simple to avoid damage from something as straightforward as life blast.
It is, but its even simpler to avoid that 1s burst from the Mesmer and it wont be followed up by a 3-5K lifeblast every second.
That has always been the “issue” of the Mesmer. Its bursty but cant really maintain dps. If you dont dodge the burst its heavy damage but if you do its almost a free 50% off the Mesmers hp before he hit you again.
When it is released its going to be available to everyone that give Anet money, yes.

“Shatterer” is a rank as opposed to a single specific entity. Clearly this second dragon has very little confidence in his superior and jumped the gun for his anticipated promotion.

Its perfectly fine. Processing a 250 stack of trees take what, a minute? Try doing it in Archeage. Its a 30 minute nap.

If thief and ele is not your thing, the only strong mobile roamer left is ranger. Warrior and guardian is by no means an option. Engineer gonna take too much time to learn and by the time you get good with it, youll quit the game

And thats when you start roleplaying a backstabbing thief. Also petition Anet to make a droppable centaur head you can put in his rp home.
Other than that, I aint got a clue what you can do.
Keep in mind that GW2 also has some pretty heavy handed and sneaky DR that can hit you at any time.
Basicly if you kill 100 mobs to get 1 yellow, the guy with 100% MF maybe gets it after 50 kills and then only get spikes, while the guy with 200% MF gets it after 30 kills and then just as many spikes.
GS should definetly be melee. Necro already have the scepter and staff, with the staff being the main (and strong) ranged weapon. I’m really, really hoping they will focus efforts on making it a PvE dungeon running weapon. Good cleave, one good attack on low cd, a group buff and some sort of combo cc/mobility skill. The Necro doesnt really need another weapon in any other mode, its going to be pointless competition just like the Mesmer gs/staff dilemma. You could have both, but you loose the utility of the 1h weapons, some very important in certain modes. And if you take just one, you’ll always miss the other.

Sennheiser is the only brand I have used for like 15 years lol. PC360 is the current one I have, though I know there are newer variants. Not only is the sound great, but mic is fantastic. And they are they only ones I have found with good ear shapes, most go wierd and make them way too small or almost square.
Well the entire point of the meta is to be overpowering (and thus squishy). Personally I use 0/4/0/4/6 because I found it more survivable and a better balance between being selfish (able to trait warhorn for 100% speed uptime) and helping the raid (still able to trait wells and bomb).
But that does look good for roaming, I got to try that sometime. The only thing I dont see the point of is the runes. If you use for example pack runes, you are a huge boon to a roaming party and yourself.
In any case, the devs have clearly stated on numerous occasions that there is no such thing as lucky or unlucky accounts. That is purely rumor perpetuated by disgruntled players who refuse to believe that the universe isn’t totally fair, or something like that.
Funny thing, I dont think the devs ever admitted it existed (nor will they) but there was a bug early on in the game which clearly showed that accounts where not equal. Some players experienced consistent throttling of event awards – they couldnt achieve gold even if they soloed the events.

Anyway…
- Always buy a known brand PSU. Spend money on it.
- Try go into Nvidia settings and turn on adaptive vsync. This is basicly a max_fps style function that prevent your card runing faster than refresh without the flaws of normal vsync. It can vastly reduce GPU temp, power and thus demand on PSU simply by not trying to run the game at 100+ spike fps.
There are a lot of people that they have already suggest it to the staff but isn’t it never considered but we don’t know why this item isn’t already in the game.
Maybe because race directly affects Personal Story, unlike all of the things you can change? There’s a reason it’s been suggested so many times and never considered by the devs, and that is because it’s just not feasible.
Sigh…
I’ll just keep this short.
- Only allow race change for level 80 characters that have completed the personal story (ie killed Zhaitan).
- Replace the personal story missions with a single story panel saying “Your past is clouded in mystery”. You do not get to replay anything.
- Remove and mail all race specific equipment to the player, set as accountbound/soulbound on equip (still race specific).
Boom all done no kittening problems period. Anet are just being lazy.

Guess they are pretty on their own, but I think they are way too big and ruin the character look. Unless your intent is looking like a harpy.
Well for starters, make one of each class. Just pony up for the slots, its worth it if you like the game. Then simply level them up to 80. Even if I dont like certain classes, I still level and play them every now and then – if only to learn their flaws and how to fight them.
If you like a class in PvP but not in PvE… well dont play it in PvE then. Personally I force myself to learn all modes out of cheer laziness. All my good bags and tools are on one character, the main that does everything. The rest are usually in reserve.
It would have been nice if they had allowed custom language strings outside the data file, but to be blunt… learn English. If only so you can understand it. Its pretty much the universal language of the internet. The real world eqvivalent of “common” in fantasy. Common brings us all together and ignore stupid things like borders and nations which all old pre-internet kittens go on and on and on about.
Unfortunely we have the same situation in reverse. So many potentially great games in various asian languages that doesnt even share the same alphabet or structure as common. Takes years to get to the west and when they do, they are already obsolete, sigh…
Its not like people ever regret learning English. Well unless you visit certain sites. Mostly no regrets.

i play ESO, that game looks far better and has more natural maps then Anet has ever made.

ESO, natural? Lol it wasnt really ugly, but the world felt incredibly odd and… clean. Not to mention scaled completely wrong. Nowhere near the feel of Skyrim, more on the level of Oblivion. GW2 is a work of art in comparison even if lacks the modern fidelity.
Anyway, we already have a home instance. Is that not technically “housing”? Without more features its pointless to have “real” homes in the world like how Archeage does it. IMO a customizable sleeping quarters in the guildhall is a better idea and integrate more with the GW2 style. Easy to make instanced as well.
My guild has just disbanded its GW2 branch… Sad days but almost everybody left so I can understand such a decision.
What a shame if you think about it, WvW could have been so much awesome if a bit more effort had been put into it and if the community had been listened.
It’s a waste of an awesome combat system in my opinion, too bad, now it’s over.
Problem is, its still the best game in its genre despite its flaws and its still very much alive 3 years on. Maybe your guildies left, but the population is still thriving. Enough people to go around which makes WvW awesome. I am also on FSP and we had epic battles yesterday.
I had really hoped that some games could top GW2 by bringing much needed features like the more complex ESO WvW or physics galore Archeage but nope, they ultimately suck at being fun. Most next gen MMORPG games are 1 year away. Hell the only game to top GW2 looks to be GW3 lol.

There a lot to go over with what you said.A GvG is any time when a guild of one team fight another guild of another team in any pvp format so even zerg vs zerg is a type or at least can be a type of GvG.
Wvw IS about larges scale battles and you could say its made for zerg vs zerg (in a lot of ppl eyes any thing over 5 vs 5 is a zerg vs zerg).
Size dose not changes if there is team work or not its harder to have “good” team work the bigger the group but that dose not mean there is non going on.
GW is named for the guild war that happened before GW1 where the human groups fought agents other humans groups. The ideal of GvG in GW1 was on the lines of 8 vs 8 a lot like our spvp. WvW can never have a true GvG formant becuse WvW is made to be an open pvp zone.
Any way over all stab changes will make it over all harder for big groups to keep 100% stab up time its going to add a lot more skill play for the groups who need to rotate stab changes. At the same time it will reward groups who can faint out bombs or who can not get tricked by such faints and concentrates there cc on to a group. Yes one line will remove 1 stack of stab from every one who goes though it but if its just one line with no other cc right on it such as having 3-5 lines in the same places ppl will simply walk over it and restab as needed with out missing a beat.
Lol it wont hurt big groups anymore than being in a big, unorganized blob does now… They are not able to coordinate stability anyway. It will hurt lone individual players that is being focused by the enemy.

Even if you killed 1000 giants, thats not nearly enough to get an eye if its the same chance as from bags.
Come back when you have killed 10,000 giants. If you still dont have an eye, maybe, just maybe, they dont drop them. Still within bad rng range though.
The heal from adren will be used for bursting/cleansing mostly,its not consistent and it isn’t a usable heal on command.You can’t slap that together with healsig and say oh look warrs have a constant 400hp sec incoming regen,thats plain bullkitten.

There is a reason why zerker specced classes can barely bring down Warriors below 90% hp in WvW before they are promptly slaughtered by the Warrior because he is having very high damage at the same time.
