Healing support need's improvement

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Hannelore.8153

Lets be honest, Self healing in this game is overkill.

It is way over the top, and is often used as the reason Healing Power shouldn’t be improved, because some guy running around in full Berserker gear can heal over half his health (or all of it, in the case of Guardian) every 30sec.

Outgoing heals are almost as bad, mainly due to water fields which make it possible to heal a whole zerg in seconds since the amount of healing that you do is directly proportional to how many people there are to leap or blast on it.

Healing skills don’t need improved, they need nerfed so that Healing Power can be improved and taking it as a stat option is actually legitimate.

Full support builds will never exist in this game as long as you can get away with doing everything in the game (even in PvP/WvW) and still heal most of your health a few times every minute regardless of what you are wearing, what your build is, what you are facing, who your allies are or any other factors whatsoever.

ANet said healing is the weakest form of support, so why did they make it free? It ended up becoming the most common form of (self)support in the game.

This isn’t a good system, its a trainwreck. Everyone is basically a Priest with DPS.

Ability to Move/Swap Weapon Abilities?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Hannelore.8153

Hannelore.8153

I was able to solve this problem by not using the keyboard for basic skill casting like I do in other games. Instead, I binded my keys to literally everything else, so that casting skills was the only thing in the entire game I have to use the mouse for.

Although I still have autoattack bound to R and weaponswap to E, because these need to be spammed in combat situations (especially vs. stealth).

People look down upon clickers but lets be honest, this game has an absolutely horrible skill bar in comparison to other games. It is the most limited, frustrating piece of garbage to have ever been seen outside of an FPS game.

The developers of GW2 really haven’t a slightest clue about UI design…

[Suggestion]Helping downed/defeated players!

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Hannelore.8153

I agree with the OP, it is annoying when people WP when you are about to rezz them. Please give us some kind of feature to prevent this. In fact, get rid of that awful fullscreen world map and add something smaller instead so they can at least see what is going on around them while they look for a waypoint.

The world map is a huge cause of confusion especially In WvW, because you can have a whole group of people coming to rezz someone and they WP because they cannot even tell what is going on unless they are on Teamspeak or something.

I’ll rezz someone who is defeated whenever it is safe to do so, which is not usually in boss battles. With some bosses it can be done, but for others (e.g Fire Elemental, Inquest Golem, Tequatl, Three-Headed Wurm) it is far too risky. If I try to rezz during these battles, the first time I get attacked while rezzing the person I leave and never come back, because that’s just how it has to be until the fight is over.

Sometimes you get lucky and can rezz someone without getting attacked. In these cases you don’t go into combat mode and it is extremely fast.

I try to rezz downed players always. Even if it means buffing up and healing myself constantly until they are back on their feet. You lose far more DPS from letting a downed player get defeated than getting them up.

Veteran players need expansion.

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Hannelore.8153

Hannelore.8153

Well, this is what you get when you have a game that is largely PvE only but gets almost no updates to its PvE content except for some debris everywhere.

WvW would be a great endgame if it got more than 5 FPS.

….
With the release of Wildstar next month, things may be changing for you guys. People have been reluctant to go back to WoW, but Wildstar may indeed take a lot of your players. ….

Since wildstar is from ncsoft too they dont care. And with chinese release they dont have to hold on the old players anyway.

So if you look from the side of anet / ncsoft they have no problem at all if the “veterans” quit the game and join maybe wildstar (playing wildstar would give them even more money -> more good for them)

And with chinese release they gain a LOT new players (potential gem-store user) and they also have the subscribtion thingy or am I wrong? Dunno exactly because i stoped playing gw2 a few weeks ago so i have almost no information about the game atm.

(D3 reaper of souls WAY more fun /,,/)

also sorry for my bad english i hope you can understand what i wanted to say ^-^

You are 100% correct my friend. ANet is a company that sees only profit margins and like all companies they couldn’t give a kaboodle about veterans.

I remember reading that veteran players in MMOs are actually the lowest paying, because as time goes on they have already bought everything that they need or stopped buying premium due to being upset with the game and the net result is that eventually veterans become completely useless profit-wise.

Some games intentionally try to get rid of them on a regular basis because from a business standpoint, people who have played too long but no longer provide sufficient income are just loaners who are leeching off the company.

The most profit is made from constantly cycling in newer players.

It won’t work because the creator of the models and textures owns the copyright. When other companies do it they have to use extensive NDAs and other forms of contacts in order to ensure that they legally own everything that you create and that you don’t say anything about it until they officially release it.

ANet just doesn’t have the presence for this kind of thing.

There's a lot of unused real estate...

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Hannelore.8153

Hannelore.8153

Sadly, this is a huge problem with all modern games. Games are predominantly developed by artists these days, not programmers. Usually a modern game will have about 80%-90% of the crew creating models, textures, sound, music, levels and translations and about 10-20% of its crew actually adding the content to the game, and usually “adding it” just means “sticking it in somewhere so it looks nice”.

Guild Wars 1 was the opposite; it was largely developed by programmers, not artists, which is why it had such a dated and minimalistic graphics style, but everything was fully utilized in the game to its maximum potential.

Guild Wars 2 unfortunately fully embodies to the modern stereotype.

[Suggestion] "Mithrilium" Weapons

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Hannelore.8153

Hannelore.8153

Its well known that Mithril Ore is a low value resource, similarly for Elder Wood Logs. Despite being located at end-game zones, Mithril Ore is one of the most common resources on the market and often has a value even lower than that of Copper Ore, which can be obtained by every new character in level 1-15 zones.

I would like to suggest the addition of a massive sink for Mithril Ore to restore its value while also adding content to the game. More specifically, creating a new weapon set that will take large amounts of Mithril Ore and Elder Wood Logs to create.

(I don’t count ascended weapons because those require barely any Mithril Ore in comparison to the masive amounts of other resources they require, thus behaving poorly as a sink for this particular type of resource.)

At the moment, most time harvesting in end-game maps is wasted except for the very few Orichalcum and Ancient Wood Log nodes you run across.

-There should be more value to end-game zones than just zerging events.-

Glass cannon GS build for guardian (sPVP)

in Guardian

Posted by: Hannelore.8153

Hannelore.8153

Just a recommendation; if you go full glass cannon on Guardian in WvW/PvP, use the Berserker/Valkyrie amulet (I forget the name), the Vitality tree at 6 (which also gives you cooldown reductions on Shouts and 2H weapons), and the Vitality grandmaster trait and you will have double HP despite being full glass.

Damage will only be slightly lower than full Berserker and it will give you enough points left over to run with Power tree up to 4 or 6 and some other.

Try to avoid Toughness or Virtue trees on full glass; they drain damage quickly. They are meant for pure survival or aiding allies and do not offer the Guardian much when it comes to playing for damage in 1 Vs X situations.

You don’t need Mediation Fury when taking Fury-on-hit runes.

Spirit Weapons run best with such builds.

Guardians need an improvement

in Guardian

Posted by: Hannelore.8153

Hannelore.8153

I don’t know what you mean. A bunker Guardian is almost impossible to kill 1on1 in either WvW or PvP game modes. A Thief may succeed in killing you, but that’s only if he keeps resetting the fight at a rate faster than you can.

Every other class won’t even come close to the same level of longevity and will eventually tire out and die to your meager staff hits.

The problem is more that a Guardian must fight every opponent due to being slow. There is no escape from any battle, and even though the Guardian can keep resetting the fight with their 32sec full HP heal, shouts, virtues, and converting conditions to boons every 48sec (ALL of these dispel when traited properly), ultimately they have to either win or die because there is never any escape.

It would be great if they had some method of chosing their battles like every other class has access to (Thief Stealth/Initiative leaps, Warrior GS/Hammer/CC, Mesmer Stealth/Blink/Portal, Elementalist Teleport/CC, Ranger LB Stealth/GS Leap, Necromancer Fear/DS tanking/Walk).

Arenanet, dyes, laurels, why?

So if unid dyes are no longer drops, but they are still needed to make a legendary (100), how are these supposed to be obtained other than on the TP. There must be a feasible way of acquiring them in the future through normal game-play once the TP drys up… right?

By crafting rare dyes and putting them in the Mystic Forge, or buying with Laurels.

Arenanet, dyes, laurels, why?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Hannelore.8153

Hannelore.8153

Problem with dyes is it’s going to be awhile for them to dry up and start going back up in price, but when/if they ever do, there’s hundreds of players all thinking the same thing and sitting on tens of thousands (as said above) of UID’s combined, which will re-flood the market. On paper it sounds like a great investment to buy cheap now and wait for them to go back up now that they no longer drop. It’s just everyone else is thinking the same thing and it’s going to be a kitten long time before the dyes get anywhere near super profitable.

This isn’t actually how it works. This kind of thing occurs with every resource – for example it happened with Watchwork Sprockets and Silk Scraps. But its not really going to happen exactly as you say because with each day, old players leave the game and new players join. This means a few things:

  • Old players hoarding dyes will be forced to sell before they leave, or the dyes sit in their bank and never get sold because they left.
  • Newer players joining the game all of the time buy dyes by the dozens because they no longer drop and they don’t want to craft. Remember, you cannot craft individual dyes, those all come from unidentified dyes, unidentified dyes of a specific hue or gemstore dye packs. This means that ultimately, the supply of “unique” dyes that can be bought directly will also dry up until more UIDs are introduced.
  • Crafting dyes uses large amounts of karma which has been reduced to a trickle in the last year. Most people save their karma for legendaries which require 1 million each, this means that very few people are crafting dyes.

Can i equip 2 trinkets of same type?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Hannelore.8153

Hannelore.8153

You can equip two of the same type if you infuse one of them using the Mystic Forge. This will make them different types. Alternatively you can get the opposite type (e.g Defensive instead of Offensive), and create an Omni infusion for it.

This is very expensive, but allows you to have all of your infusions dedicated to a single stat for example Power instead of Power/Toughness.

Almost 2 years later... no new dungeons

in Fractals, Dungeons & Raids

Posted by: Hannelore.8153

Hannelore.8153

How about making existing dungeons not crap and not making them require five players all the way through (i’m looking at you, CoF). Making people group up is great and all but having to toss it all out the window because someone has to go to dinner or something is really an old story. And Dredge fractal has the same problem…

The most fun things in this game are those that can be done with 2-3 people. Everyone is quite frankly tired of LFG, zerker, warrior, stack, skip, kick, crash, dc, afk, etc.

Really, what happened to spending time together in games? There is a strong difference between spending time and wasting time. And unfortunately in this last six months GW2 is leaning to the wasting end of the spectrum.

I wouldn’t trust the current team to design a dungeon of any sort.

Eventually dyes prices will rise to a high level. Please keep in mind that dyes no longer drop out in the world anymore and that the market is currently flooded with an excess of dye because of the account-wide patch to the dye system.

It is still very much a market for buyers. There will be a day when players won’t believe that you could ever buy a dye for so little.

This. I wouldn’t be suprised if one day dyes cost in excess of 20g once they fall below the 1k mark. But its a long time for now due to the market being flooded.

You can try out WvW and PvP in this game without ever levelling or doing anything at all because the moment you enter them you are level 80.

Furthermore, playing both WvW and PvP earns you PvE levels.

As for PvE, its not that great but it has the most expansive, immersive and beautiful game world in the industry even exceeding that of Tera. So its still good enough to take a break from killing players every now and then.

But if you’re looking for PvE gameplay over graphics and immersion, look elsewhere.

Stackable CC is a broken mechanic.

in Profession Balance

Posted by: Hannelore.8153

Hannelore.8153

Are you kidding? This game has the lowest CC durations of any game I have ever played., to the point where in some situations CC is completely useless because your enemy is unstunned/standing back up again/whatever before your next attack even goes off properly, even an autohit. Plus, stability is a 100% hard counter with no luck-based mechanic, so once someone pops it that’s it.

The bad part is how classes have differing access to stability uptimes.

There are games where you can get stunned for 30+ seconds. If you value your sanity don’t ever play the original DAoC or any older MMO for that matter.

I’m always amused to read all these threads about how GW2 is the hardest and worst game ever when it has some of the easiest, most faceroll mechanics in the industry. Its like the entire decade of games preceeding it didn’t even exist.

However, I do agree that CC of the same type should not stack duration.

You can trait the latter with the trait from the Power tree that removes conditions on heal and you will heal yourself, remove movement-impeding conditions and gain Swiftness in battle conditions at the cost of health regeneration.

Warhorn is also good, but beware that its only 50% uptime without BD. But it can also remove movement-impeding conditions and be traited to remove one extra condition in a manner similar to Shake It Off.

bots stealing megaserver spots

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Hannelore.8153

Hannelore.8153

I’d love to know how you can be sure a player is a bot.

Its very easy to recognise bots once you know what to look for.

They have certain behavoral patterns. The most common ones are:
- Never playing with any ally
- Not resurrecting NPCs or players
- Running away from Champions the instant they come in range
- Attacking invulnerable or obstructed mobs indefinitely
- Not jumping over obsticles or getting stuck
- Running bearbow Ranger or minion Necro

These are just a few of the obvious signs. Of course, you don’t report someone based upon just a few of these signs, you only report when you see them all. Otherwise, you risk tagging perfectly good players as bots.

Furthermore, ANet has 100% ability to verify bots, because bots will always execute actions in a certain way, for example they will not try to complete heart quests, and all of their chat (which is logged) will come off as either spam or nonsense.

There’s little risk of a legit player getting banned even if you accidentally report them because ANet carefully verifies the information beforehand.

But you still shouldn’t report unless you are absolutely sure.

But, the solution isn’t to make the female versions of armor more “femenine”. That is going back to the first problem. What Arena Net have to do is to add are new wearable items more “cute”, “delicate” or “skimpy”, wich people could use, no matter the gender of their char.

But HOW do you make armor more “feminine”? No one has said anything about what these desired changes should look like. How do you make a pair of pants more feminine?

1. Helmets – Cant do much there. They are what they are.
2. Shoulders – Ditto.
3. Gloves – Ditto.
4. Coat – The only thing I could seem them doing with these are make them more dress-like. But that brings up a few issues.
— Heavy armor leaves little room to work with. Asrua don’t have boobs, so they don’t need any definition on the chest, and making it too elaborate is just impractical.
— Medium armor is mostly depicted as being trench coats. T2 and T3 cultural armor are some of the few exceptions, and IMO look the best among the medium armor lines for Asura. They could medium torso armors look more dress-like, but then you need to ask, do they redo existing armors, or keep the changed style for new armors only? I personally would be really kittened if they changed my favorite armors to be more dress-like.
— Light armor already has a sizable range of coats that look more like fancy cloths. If dyed right, as I’ve seen many times, its possible to get a more “girly” look with color alone. This applies to all armors actually. The Nightmare Court armors IMO are best for “feminine” styles.
5. Pants are pants. They have slim and slack versions abound. I use the T2 cultural medium pants because they flay out and cover up the upper part of the T3 medium boots. And once again, heavy armor is subject to that practicality look. It would be silly if they made heavy armor pants any different because they are the pinnacle of armor protection, and should look the part, fitted for protection. Either you make heavy armor actually be armor, or the other alternative is they look skimpy.

There really isn’t much they can do to make the armor more “feminine” without upsetting the existing styles. However, if they decided to make some armors/skins that are meant to appeal to female players, given the new wardrobe system, then sure, I can see it. Maybe some shoulders that look like flowers, a nice hibiscus flower hairpiece, or some goggles with heart shaped lenses.

The moral of the story is, “feminine” and “armor” just don’t mix. Armor is meant to cover and protect, not accent the feminine shape.

Well, its really hard to explain to non-females (not assuming your gender here, just saying in general). There’s just a certain love for certain things that kind of runs instrinsicly, and most of the GW2 content does not meet the requirements for something that I would call “feminine”. Yes, you have many sexy outfits, but that’s it – and the Asura don’t even have access to them at that. For Asura, everything is pretty much just armor through and through, with maybe a frill or two but not much.

Please, don’t use the “it’s armor” argument. We both know that this does not apply to games in the modern era, especially since you can wear outfits now.

The problem that people have in this thread is that other races have access to much more variety while the Asura are forced into a specific look for each armor set. Removing gender lock-outs for Asura and Charr are a start, but we also need to look into allowing girls to better express themselves without it simply being “hey, look at my huge boobs and my flashing panties” like Humans and Norn.

There’s three definitions of feminity when it comes to looks, “Cute”, “Sexy” and “Pretty”. For Asura, “Cute” and “Pretty” are what we aim for, but currently most of the game content for 3/5 races is “Sexy” and for Asura none of the three.

The cute Asura that you see in game are from carefully crafted mix-and-match armor combinations that have a very, very limited amount of variations. This is a product of the players behind them being very creative and spending alot of time comparing armors, wasting money and finding combinations that work.

It does not mean the game allows it to happen by default.

By comparison on my Human I can just equip one set of cultural armor that all matches well and I am good to go. Its the same with my Sylvari.

There’s nothing inappropriate about swimsuits. Anyone who believes that has obviously had their mind poisoned by overzealous cultural taboos.

Expansion or Living story ? why

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Hannelore.8153

I want to see the Living Story refactored into a replayble expansion. In other words, I want the story to be told again, with more details, less bugs, less zergs, and in the format of permanent content that I can take my time to enjoy.

And I don’t want to hear “it can’t work that way”. The enjoyable Toxic Hybrid fight showed that, yes, in fact the Living Story can work with just a few people.

Reminded me of Village of Wren when we were trying to save it in preparation for Lyssa (after the temple falls of course) total wipe and super scaling.

Two Veteran Risen Subjugators spawned on us in this event. Being the huge pile of bugs that they are combined with super scaling, they then proceeded to suck the life from over 20 players simultaneously until they were all dead.

I kept telling everyone to interrupt, but no one could figure out what to do.
(This attack has no player cap, never ends until interrupted, and has no distance limit.)

Temporary LS content is not cutting it

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Hannelore.8153

Hannelore.8153

Everyone in the industry knows that games are valued based upon replayability. A game that does not have replayability (you exhaust the content once, and then move on) is not a success while games like FPS & RTS are huge success because even though their single player story may suck they have infinite replayability in multiplayer.

There are exceptions, but this is the general rule. Games with a high degree of replayability can last a decade after they are first created.

Guild Wars 2 partially solves the problem by making its Personal Story have a degree of replayability by requiring different alts, etc, to experience all the paths. It also partially solves the problem by having PvP and WvW.

But PvE wise, the Living Story falls short of replayability by a mile. There is nothing in the Living Story that is replayable save for a few changes to some maps and some new dungeon paths added (mostly to Fractals of the Mists).

I loved the LS, but its over, I will never see it again. I will never be able to enjoy the intricate details of it instead of all of the stress that I received from rushed schedules, zerg mechanics and lots and lots of bugs and balance issues.

The game is headed no where good at this rate, if this just continues.

Keep bringing us the Living Story, don’t abandon your model. But please, for the love of the six gods, add it to the game in some permanent format.

Which class does best with condition stats

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Hannelore.8153

Hannelore.8153

Condition count: Engi (They can do nearly all conditions with just P/P in seconds)
Condition stacks: Necro (or Warrior for just bleeds)

Engi has problem building stacks, but have far the most conditions accessible to any class, able to tap into them all with just a few key presses. While other classes have trouble accessing more than a few conditions, but can build huge stacks.

Elementalist : Burning (though Earth is okay for Bleeds)
Guardian: Burning, Retaliation (it requires specific builds to dish out enough of it)
Mesmer: Confusion, rarely Torment
Necromancer: Bleeds, lots of Vulnerability
Ranger: Lots of Poison, some Burning and Bleeds
Thief: Bleeds, some Poison and Torment
Warrior: Bleeds, some Confusion, rarely Torment

I don’t count conditions like Immobilize, Cripple, Chill and Blind because they are typically used for crowd control rather than dealing damage.

Eliminate Transfer Fee, Allow Guesting NA/EU

If anything, server transfers are too easy as it is. I think they should have a one-month lock-out except for allowing you to go back to your original server (one time) in case you made a mistake and don’t like the new server.

As for NA/EU Guesting/Transfers, I recall reading that they were unifying the datacenters for the China release, but it was a work in progress.

In game marriage

I was shocked. Back in 2006 when I heard that couples play together WoW and Guild Wars. Dead were my dreams that only geeks and pizza eating nerds were playing games. No, MMOs destroeyed that dream and I always cringe if I here ‘me and my wife’ don’t like that blabla. kitten? Just play as an individual, you aren’t siamese twins.

For some people online games are their entire meeting grounds, thus it is the only time that they get to be a couple outside of work or other real life time sinks.

Playing as an individual makes absolutely no sense at all.

In game marriage

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Hannelore.8153

One problem I’ve always had with this game is that it doesn’t really think about couples much if at all. Relationship and marriage systems are a staple of MMOs and that is why I find that is missing here, but given how they treat roleplaying its not suprising.

I usually play with my SO, and there’s just not much in this game for couples. I either have to complete open world content with her, which is meant for one person and thus trivializes its difficulty (and its already pretty easy), or I have to team up with 3 other randoms to do a dungeon or something which ruins the mood.

So while I would love for something like this to come to fruition, I doubt ANet would do it because they seem to think that everyone is either solo or partied up into five man groups. In my year of Guild Wars 2 I have run across many pairs and duos, and all of them have had more of less the same problem with the game’s content.

A simple title would be easy enough, but ANet can’t even reward those for most things that need it and instead reward them for meaningless feats (and far too rarely), so again, I don’t see it as something that is on their priority list..

There Needs to Be True Downscaling

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Hannelore.8153

Hannelore.8153

No there doesn’t. There has to be some power curve or, really, whats the kitten point of levelling at all?

It’s fine as is. As stated above you can nerf yourself as you prefer, I’d rather not be nerfed more than I already am thank you very much.

No, its really not fine. My newbie in just level 14 masterwork Power gear was one shotting everything 2-3 levels above her on critical hits.

And she isn’t even high enough to have any traits yet.

This change doesn’t just affect high level players being scaled down, it affects all players who have even a smidgen of skill (dodging, etc.) and knowledge of gear, even if they are the appropriate level for the content involved.

PvE has just been rendered a faceroll for anyone not wearing bad stats. Yes, you might have some trouble in Vitality gear or whatnot, but that’s all.

Mob nerf + no true downscaling = double wammy for high levels!

Step 1) Improve mob AI (bandit evades, centaur kites, etc. but for some reason no mobs have all of these features in a single mob), and adjust mob stats.
Step 2) Add true downscaling; make it so that a player will face the same difficulty on Queensdale as they will in the Ruins of Orr, and give similar loot.
Step 3) Improve the reliablity of Condition damage in PvE, especially Confusion.

The current system is why we have people getting to level 80 and then whining about how hard PvE is because the level 80 maps are suddenly extremely difficult. A better system would teach them how to handle this the whole game.

@ This and other similar threads…
People keep trying to explain why its bad, stop ignoring them because you think its good. Scaling like this only ruins teamplay and the ability to play with friends. It also makes the world bosses in low level zones barely scale up.

You really think its okay for SB to die in five seconds? Okay, maybe ten if you’re lucky.

Knight's back piece?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

You have to craft an item that lets you pick the stats. Currently, this only means the Exotic Advanced Spinal Blades (~20g) and the Ascended Light of Dwayna (~300g). The Grenth one may also count but I haven’t tried it yet.

The Quiver of a Thousand Arrows was disabled in the Magic Find update. Putting the ingredients in the Mystic Forge no longer results in a valid combination.

For Spinal Blades, you need to get at least 1 Blade Shard from Aetherblade fractal, JP or EOTM and then you need to farm gold for Watchwork Sprockets to promote them to Blade Shards in the Mystic Forge. This method is far more expensive than when I had to do it and fairly time consuming, but it can still be done.

The Wardrobe system for ppl who are leveling

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Hannelore.8153

Hannelore.8153

Stop using gear that you find while levelling up if you can’t up with the problem. If you are being a scavenger and using random armors, why would you want to look nice, doesn’t it kind of not fit into your scavenger role?

If you want to look nice, use level 35 and level 60 rares from the Cultural armorsmiths in your racial city, and transmute those. They will last for a very long time and you won’t have to rely on drops to have good stats and damage.

It just sounds like alot of people just want to avoid giving ANet any money, and relied entirely on farming cities for 3 Transmutation Stones per city. Honestly, I can see where you are coming from, but you have to understand that these kinds of actions don’t help keep the game afloat, just like BLC key farming.

That’s mostly all it comes down to: it was farmable before, and now its not.

How do I know this? Because despite Transmutation Stones being available in the gem store since release, I never bought a single one from the store. I never needed to. I always had an overflow of them in my bank, even though I was simultaneously transmuting all eight characters for free. On my level 80s, I was even doing this with level 78 and 79 Exotics which were only a few stat points lacking.

Now do you really think its fair to receive 400+ gem store items for free, while all the people who wanted to use level 80 gear that looked nice had to spend a whopping 50g per every 25 Transmutation Crystals?

Its easy to say it was worse for low levels, but the truth is, high level characters have far more gear, because they have to keep many different weapons, several armor sets, different combinations of gear for runes, sigils, etc.

Its a simple fact, before now lower level players were getting everything for free.

GW2 Stealth

Hmm, people who don’t think that stealth is already rediculous enough.

Stealth is not invulnerability, and does not cancel channeled skills just as nothing else cancels channeled skills except a stun. If you want to stop these skills, you stun your opponent the same way every other class has to, then you stealth.

A good Thief will have no problem adopting such a combination.
