In any event, even with the re-introduction of the Watchwork Pick, prices for Sprockets are still decent. (Dropped from 3.5 silver to about 3 silver.) So I decided to bite the bullet and upgraded my Molten Picks to Watchwork ones. On Sunday alone I earned about 150 extra Sprockets from my harvesting (I harvest a LOT, mind you); at that kind of return, the Picks will pay for themselves within a couple of months.
Taking the current value of approx 120G (if you would exchange gold for gems to buy the tool) at 3s you would break even at 4000 sprockets. You’d need only another 26 days like that. Care to guess how many nodes you harvested on Sunday?

These people are not nice to you because they don’t want to play with you. If you feel that they are violating the code of conduct you have the right to report them.
Otherwise there is not much else to say, especially if you drag everything down to a personal level. Someone already tried to explain the reasoning of why these people don’t want to play with you. Doesn’t matter if you are picture perfect – to these people you are a nuisance because your potential damage output cannot reach 9000.

YOU should contact Anet and tell them that your game experience is suffering. Which I guess you are doing here, just sort of in reverse.

Most of the times when the devs want feedback about something they consolidate – merge – all existing threads into one.
I’ve said it before – there are areas, like the charr arena, where I think this would be great. Could even add flavour to RP. But there are enough people spamming their skills already, I don’t think it’s necessary to have people jump in circles asking to be dueled or spamming me with invites. Add it to the queens pavillion if you like, instead of fighting liadri and co.
There is no doubt in my mind that it can be fun, even fun to watch, but there is also much potential to annoy. Heck even the “bing bing” from all those costume brawl fights is annoying sometimes.

I used nuggets, around 50 flushes, and had two silver and two gold doubloons.
Not saying the number is representative, just don’t be discouraged if you get a gold and think you have the wrong combination.

The tumblr thing is probably a nice idea, especially for the people surfing more with their phone than anything else – I will most likely forget to check things out there.

GW1 was not timed. If you disconnected you had to redo.
Some maps are really large, even without respawn … not sure how long that would take?
Realistically I don’t see much of a difference between an event that sends out waves and I will kill X amount of mobs and this (other than moving the character in a sort of map-complete fashion).
Sounds to me like a not so dynamic game mode … sorry, not trying to be negative, maybe one can be more enthusiastic if he knew the original “feeling”.
Having something more to do for Guilds might be nice. Maybe once Guild Halls are out we could sort of “invade” these maps through portals.

I guess I’ll follow up on my previous post a little bit, just because I’m really having fun with the “theme” idea.
I played with the hair, but in the end I’m not totally thrilled with that one strand falling into your face – plus I only have one total makeover kit left. Once I looked at different beards I was also not happy with the face anymore etc, so I left that part.
Pretty much looked more at some of the walt disneys genie, first thing was to change the steel to tangerine but left the redemption in there because I like it. At that point I got rid of the gloves, if I could just get the hands blue. Because of the genies red “pants” I changed the background to cherry (or the darker cherry, can’t remember) and at that point I decided it was too dark so the metal parts became gold.
Right now I am happy with the phantom hood, plus some other ideas I looked at.

I did a quick search on Google and found a link to a forum post from about a year ago, which looks like the one I originally saw.
You can search the forum for it using ‘I was Guild Leader and I’m now the lowest ranking member’. Tested the forums search and it actually works!
Either read the full thread or skip to tab 4 for the happy outcome. Assuming the OP was being truthful, the system certainly seems to randomly pick a replacement from the membership active or inactive.
May be worth asking for confirmation from Gail or one of the other support team?

If that is the thread from Tiger Ashante in which I posted as well, then it was resolved because a friend of the inactive member (that became leader when she played with the ranks) came online and was able to contact him – so he logged back in and promoted the former guild leader Tiger again.
So, just going from memory – at the time of losing your own rank someone else will become leader (if there is one, no idea what happens if it’s a one person show), the metrics are unknown – maybe the longest member out of the highest ranking – however the system definitely did not check if that person was active recently. There would have been better alternatives in that example.
But from then on nothing would have happened if the person would have not come back.

My question is, why did the OP expect a precursor?
Just to compare this, precursors also have a chance to drop from every mob out there. If you would have only killed enough mobs every day for the daily you already had more than double the amount of chances that the OP had with 14k bags.
Personally I would not even believe that the chance of a pre dropping out of a bag is higher then it dropping out in the wild, but it simply is such a small number.

Easiest and fastest and not expensive. You do know that those town clothes don’t exist like they used to anymore? If you haven’t you should maybe visit the Black Lion NPC first.
