No point in speculation now about how it affect current builds. All today builds will be outdated because thay said there will be changes in traits, merging, new traits and ofc new specialization, base stat changing and more. We will simply move on into new builds and new meta. They can be simillar or completly diferrent

I played engi in Warhammer online and info about gw2 engi was reason why I start interesting about this game:-) There are many reasons why I love engi so much. Its versatile and hard to handle on master level.

Well best way to damage is use nades 2,4 and bomb 1 as autoattack in rotation with condi duration food 25 vulne isnt a problem.
For personal damage it’s the best. But you won’t get up to 25 stacks with bomb aa unless it’s trash. Ppl keep forgetting the only thing that counts is team damage, not personal damage. Nade 1 > bomb 1, unless trash / wide spreaded mobs.
3rd utility you can choose between EG and mines. EG 4 have little bit higher damage than mne field but mine field stack another vulnerability and remove boons witch is great on some bosses

Actualy if you have +power + condi duration food witch is far best for engi you can manage 25 stacks on bosses just with barrage and nade 2,4 in rotation. Ofc sometime bosses clear condis so you must throw there one or two nade 1 sometime. Bombs are simply too superior to not have them. Not only for dps but also for stealthing, fire and glue bomb.

I played a lots of games and especialy mmos in past 20 years and GW2 is only game what trully deserve my money. It will never happen because guys from Anet arent one of those greedy kittens but hypoteticly if it will happend I will pay without blink of the eye.

Cele is fantastic on some solo farming especialy underwater. In dungs with pugs its also great but zerk for speed runs is ofc better

Before it was Pistol’s AA hits like wet noddle and Riffle wasn’t a thing. But it is all in the past now. So what is the excuse of this OP trait?
I think it should either:
1- Redesign it like they did with Dhuumfire.
2- The laziest way, Limit IP to Pistol only like how Glacial Heart works.
3- The boriest way, nerf the Trait and improve Pistol’s AA.

Bomb 1 deals 25% more damage than grenade 1, and that’s it. Nade 2, 4 and toolbelt are ultra hard hitters and outdamage any bomb skill by far. Yet even grenade 1 deals more TEAMDAMAGE than bomb 1, since more vuln = more passive damage = more damage for the team and this is all what counts. If you prefer bomb 1 over nade 1 you might aswell play again dps warrior over ps warrior.

You “can” use what ever you like, but to not be ballast for your team due low dps and utility, I highly recomment to use grenades + bombs / flame thrower + elixier gun / mine and swap some stuff according to the situation. I know especially for new players grenades and bombs (especially nades) are a pain to use, but you get used to it, they’re both awesome.If you want some engi advice and you are on EU servers, feel free to pm me ingame and I show you some stuff greez!

Probably some SD build but without some kit you basicly cut your dps by half. But if you will use toolkit autoattack in rotation dps will be almost as good as bomb/nades builds

If you are not able to kill daily casual turret engi you are simply very very bad players. You know what happend if turrets get nerfed? Nothing. Casuals will jump on other cheesy build and you will still get killed by rest pro engis out there:-)

FYI engi also have almost never used trait what able us place turrets anywhere in 900 range so fixing this particular exploit dont stop clever engi. No matter how much you cry we always find a way how to make you cry even more:-)

Basicly no if you dont wanna sux in both. Other classes can do that but if you wanna be good engi prepare yourself for making at least 4 different gear sets and changing build not only from pve to wvw but even multiple times in single dungeon for example. Engineer have only two modes: Excelent with maximize build with perfectly memorized rotations and gear for specific situation or useless crap what get kick from party without apologize nothing between.

Its basicly permareflect if you use turrets right:-) You can also play with cele amulet and rifle if you prefer more hybrid damage. I found this basicly as hard counter to rangers and majority of other builds and classes.

Is this logic bad? Lets put it into perspective, an engineer can place a turret/turrets at any location he chooses and it stays there, the longer its there, the more value it gains. It remains at it’s location regardless of being in combat. In many cases you see engineers stacking turrets on top of turrets-heck sometimes i’ll even go in pvp to find an engi sitting on 6 turrets on the cap point.
And lets face it- Turrets do their job just by being there. They are hardly the situation utility they once were… Rather than being responsive, the engi just spams all his turrets.
So why then, cant a warrior keep his adrenaline? What is the value of adrenaline if not 1.5x more damage/utility than a normal skill? People say signet warrior is bad- maybe fury signet would actually have use if we could use it with our burst to open a fight.
And lets face it, its a whole heck of a lot harder to pull off most burst skills than it is to spam some turrets. Killshot, blade flurry, and eviscerate are all a bit better than a normal skill but are harder to land.
And lets not forget that unless we actually spec for it or take some time, we cant just press a button and get 3 bars of adrenaline by pressing a button like an engineer can to gain his turrets.
We all wonder why shoutbow is meta- and i’d be willing to bet that its due in part to the adrenaline mechanic, warriors simply can’t get value anymore unless they stay in combat 90% of the time.

I tried simillar build in past but it only works well on quite large groups of mobs.
Pistols are condi weapons and with soldier gear is your dps almost zero. If you wanna survability use at least dire and you will have much faster kills. Best idea is use rabid because you have many crit procs and it have also decent survability.

Although I will ask, HGH only gives 2 stacks of Might. How much extra damage is that really compared to 2% extra damage per condition on enemy from MA?
Also, does the extra damage from MA (or any other traits/runes/etc) apply to Condition Damage too? Or is it just Direct Damage?
HGH works also on toss elixirs and that might is really long so if you manage it corretly you can keep 25 stack all time.

Yes and I’m always curious how that works against -condi duration. Say you have over 100% condi duration (rare for the most part unless we’re talking Bleeds). If your opponent has -condi duration is your condi duration beyond 100% used?
If I understand that right first is calculated your duration and then his reduction and I dont think so its used overcap

Celestial in PvE got seriuous hit after might nerf. In dungeons with pugs its still really good choice but if you wanna focus on speed runs zerk will be definetly better because nothing like support/hybrid isnt really needed full dps is currently best way.
