Gliding Review

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Posted by: TheBlackLeech.9360

TheBlackLeech.9360

I really like the gliding so far…. but there are a few things that “bug” me.

I’ve noticed that sometimes the glider just deploys itself instead of me jumping while I am traveling downhill.

It seems if the ledge you are attempting to jump off us slants downward, rather than jumping, there is a chance will immediately deploy your glider. This drastically reduces your starting glide height.

I’m assuming this relates to the issue that was present ages ago…. when players used to mash jump to scale up walls and stuff… and anet implemented a terrible “nerf” that basically stopped players from jumping if they were traveling downward on the z axis.

Which made some jumping puzzles and such impossible…. until anet tweaked the code.

Glider mechanics are using similar coding, and it needs to be fine tuned even more.

If your z axis value is decreasing fast enough that the game considers you to be falling, your glider deploys instead of your character jumping… meaning you can’t do any running jumps in verdant brink which start on a heavy downslope.

I also really hate that holding the jump button for a moment after jumping automatically deploys the glider. I strongly feel like we should need to release the button and press again while we are midair to deploy the glider. I don’t want to have to tap the jump key to to a regular jump because that goes against every platformer I’ve ever played.

Hmmm… I’m assuming this is the mastery point you are talking about that “lit up” for you when you communed…. which did not seem to light up after I communed with it.

Edit: Yep… i just went and communed with the unmarked mastery point and the one that would not light up for me lit up.

Confirmed bug.

I would love to see entire cities, entire maps, mostly underwater.

This game’s underwater combat has such great potential…
Guild Wars 2 the only game where I don’t hate being underwater.

…and that says a lot.

…but it is up to the development team to turn that “I don’t hate it” into “this is awesome!”

They are so close to having an enjoyable worthwhile underwater experience…. but they refuse to do anything about the flaws.

…and I certainly would love to see them improve underwater combat in the future.

Here is another bug…. the trait fast hands should reduce weapon swap time…. but instead it sets the amount of time to 5 seconds.

You may think…. hey 5 seconds is the right amount of time, tho right? but there is a problem when it comes to pinking up and dropping bundles.

If your weapon swap is on cooldown and you pick up an ice bow or something…. you will be unable to drop it until 5 seconds has passed.

Extremely annoying.

Also… props for noticing that 100b thief stealth thing… I’ve complained about it so many times and have yet to see a fix…. and I’m happy to know that I’m not just losing my mind and that it happens to other people too.

"Purchase funds" covers gem custom exchange

TheBlackLeech.9360

You mean you can’t change the ‘400’ to ‘1’? It works fine for me.

It absolutely will not work if you have less gold than it costs to convert to 400gems.
(something like 85-90g)

The reason it probably worked for you no problem is because you have over 85g.

I was finally able to bypass this garbage by getting a friend to send me 100g temporarily, so that I could actually click on the input value, and then just sent the gold back to my friend after I bought my one gem.

This may be a dumb question, but it’s not allowing you to backspace where it has the number 400 to make that a 1?

Correct, since you cannot click on the number to change it without being taken to the buy money with your credit card page if you have less than the amount of gold needed to buy 400gems.

I need one more gem to get 1k gems, and the interface will not allow me to input anything because it starts at 400 gems, which I can not afford.

If I mouse over the section where i should be able to input 1 gem, It says get more funds, and clicking takes me to the page where i must input credit card information to buy gems.

I just want one kittening gem…. this is ridiculous.

Guardian VS Warrior solo PvE...

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

TheBlackLeech.9360

I have 2 guardians and two warriors…. both warriors are zerker, and one guardian is nomads and the other is zerker.

I find the zerk warriors much more fun to play than the zerk guardian.

The nomad’s guardian is really fun to play …. but you kill things so slowly that it is really more of a “stop and smell the flowers” thing. Which can be nice if you just like exploring and taking your time.

The zerk guardian is my second favorite class to play in general pve…. but on my list it still falls behind the warrior.

The only thing the warriors are missing that I really like about the zerk guardian is the shadowstepping. …but the warriors mobility and power easily make up for the shadowstep gimmicks.

Hmm That doesn’t really help since they don’t say how long it took. I guess I’ll just have to do some testing myself once I get a little more time to play. Thanks anyway.

If you read the page, the guy says

“I was trying for 200 a day (about 2 hours a day)”

Thats ~100 chests/hr.

I can confirm this is the rate at which you will earn loot bags in a chest train:
~30-35 chests per rotation around the map/20 minutes

~90-100 chests/hr

PvE: How does Necro compares to Thief?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

TheBlackLeech.9360

How does Necro compare to Thief?

It doesn’t.

Thief is so valuable to a team as far as efficiency is concerned, that just about every speedclear team reserves a space for a thief.

Necro on the other hand weighs the team down like an anchor.

The most useful necro utilities for a dungeon team would be blindness through well of darkness and plague form…. and a thief can outperform a necromancer with blinds 24/7.

Thief also brings stealth like you said, which separates it from necromancer entirely and makes this comparison absurd.
and finally… thieves deal insane single target damage while flanking or attacking foes from behind… comparable to how hard a necromancer could hit a target in lich form….. only all the time.

Silverwastes. 80g a day you say? Uhhh...

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: TheBlackLeech.9360

TheBlackLeech.9360

I am unsure of the exact amount of gold you make, since your wealth from Silverwastes comes in many different forms…. but you can easily make 80g in a 24/hr period in my experiences.

Here are some tips

Always open the locked chests that other players have exposed.
Keep moving…. tag events and leave, but make sure they will not fail without you.
Keep 25 keys on you when you leave the pact encampment.
…and keep 5 extractors.

Here is my rotation:

First things first, make sure you always have at least 25 bandit keys and 5 extractors on you… and leave the pact encampment, heading Northwest out of the camp toward Indigo Cave.
Escort the pack bull part of the way to ensure you get credit for the event and it will complete successfully.

When you get to Indigo Cave, several different things can be happening.
If the fort is under attack, kill one mob, and you have already secured your rewards for completing the event. The pack bull for the Blue Oasis leaves from Indigo, so make sure you assist, ensuring credit for that event also. If you time it right, you can pull some of the foes from the Indigo Cave defense event while protecting the pack bull to speed things up a bit. If the fort is not under attack, make sure you turn in some rubble quickly… the event ends very soon and if you are alone it can be a challenge to complete, so if there are only a handful of folks doing this event, make sure you turn in 3-4 pieces of rubble before moving on. There can be a veteran spawn north of Indigo cave also, so make sure you tag it if it is up.

SW gives great MF boosts, and if you are boosting your MF through food boosters bonfires, banners, etc…. (in addition to the buffs you get just from doing events on the map) it is 100% worth it to kill some of the dust mites north of indigo cave, since they can drop charged lodestones…. and I don’t think you can boost your MF any higher anywhere else in the game.

Make sure you kill at least 3 dust mites/twisters before you move on.

After tagging the events at indigo, continue to escort the Blue Packbull to the Blue Oasis, since it is on the way and it helps ensure completion of the event.
When you are in range of the Blue Oasis, if it is under attack, defeat one foe and move on…. and if it is not under attack, turn in the rubble, following the same plan as you did with indigo. Again, a veteran mordrem foe can spawn as an additional event just south of Blue Oasis, so make sure you pass by that location on your way to Amber.

If you have any shovels, break them out as you head south to Amber Sandfall, there are several locations where the buried locked chests can be found along this route.

If you are lucky, you will see a veteran mordrem event just before reaching Amber Sandfall. Same as with the other forts, kill one foe for defense completion credit, or turn in rubble, and begin making your way east to the Red Rock Bastion.

Along the way, you will see the yellow pack bull heading to where you just came from, so make sure you assist with that for credit, and just before arriving at Red Rock Bastion, swing a little bit toward Indigo cave, to tag indigo cave’s other pack bull. event.. If you time things right, you can usually end up cleaving foes from both the Red Rock defend event, and the indigo pack bull event. Defeat any veteran mordrem events that might be up, and make your way back east to the pact encampment where you started.

Assist the Red pack bull when you see it….

On the way to the encampment and even inside of it, make sure you take out your shovels and open any locked chests that might be nearby.

Buy more keys so that you have 25 of them again, and start the entire thing over again.

When a breach is about to happen, make sure you have your experimental extractors and that you use them for each subterranean foe you defeat. You will ALWAYS make a profit on crests if you wait to turn in the part until the collector wants it.
Start at Blue Oasis, and stay there till the boss is just about dead, and then head for indigo. With a little luck, you can get credit for the Indigo kills, and if Red is really slow and you are really lucky you can get that reward also after leaving indigo.

After that, complete the vinewrath event… start in the first lane to increase your chances of being able to defeat another champion after the Tracked status effect expires (it prevents you from fighting all three bosses in a row), and after defeating the first champ, head to the third lane. …and make sure you use your extractors again for every champ you fight.

After the vinewrath event completes, follow the zerg that always kills the three champs on the southern half of the map (champ wolf, champ vine, champ leeching thrasher) and head into the underground maze. Open the greater nightmare chest as many times as you have keys, and waypoint back to the encampment.

Clear your inventory, salvage all the rares you got for ectoplasm, turn in any mordrem parts that the collector wants (you get more crests for turning in the parts he wants, and you should just hold onto all parts until he wants them) Head to the crest collector, buy more extractors and keys, and with whatever crests you have left over, at the very bottom of the second tab, buy all of the Bags of Stolen Goods you can, and sell them on the trading post (or open them if you are a gambling man).

After you have done all of this, use the LFG tool to move to a new map… the closer to the breach, the better. Most of the loot comes from the breach+vinewrath end event, so the more often you can you can do that…. the more you make money.

Hope this helps you in your quest for phat loot.

When you develop your own game, you can decide how movement speed works.

Why is this relevant?

Do I really have to elaborate?

I was simply pointing out how trivial this forum topic is.

The developers surely don’t drop what they are doing to address every single frivolous complaint about game mechanics, especially the ones that are fine as they currently are.
…and I’m not sure what sort of discussion you were attempting to start here, but the discussion value pretty much boils down to nil.

Movement, in and out of combat, are mechanics that make this game what it is.

When you create your own game, you can decide how you personally want the movement to work, but you do not dictate what Guild Wars 2 should and should not be.

You asked a question as to why things are the way they are…
…and the answer is because the GW2 developers decided they wanted them to be that way.

Be happy that we even move faster out of combat at all, since we could have been stuck at “combat speed” at all times….

Yes, but we aren’t. Why is this a relevant comment?

Why did you make this thread?
Were you not attempting to initiate some sort of discussion?

Simply because you are not getting the feedback you desire does not mean the responses are irrelevant.

I simply wanted to point out that your logic is flawed.

You want to take off the bottom layer on the totem pole…. and I’m letting you know that having innate swiftness while out of combat is something you are taking for granted… and if we did not have this increase while ooc, you wouldn’t even know what “combat speed” was to compare it with.

Simply because you feel slow, does not mean you are slow…. since “slow” is completely relative, and is a description that can only be used when you have a reference…

I personally enjoy the speed increase that allows us to get around faster when not in combat.

So you would rather just press 1-4 buttons every 10-30 seconds in order to apply an otherwise irrelevant tack-on buff rather than explore at max speed at all times and only press buttons when actually doing something?

Would you rather have copper put directly into your inventory instead of getting trash items to sell to a vendor?

Sure…. but it has its place.

If you remove everything that is inconvenient, then you aren’t even playing a game anymore.

Swiftness and super speed have their places in the status effects kingdom, and your suggested alteration literally changes nothing other than effectively removing what we now know as super speed from the game due to an unnecessary “power creep” in movement speed.

I happen to think the current system is just fine… button presses and all.

Seriously I feel like I’m taking crazy pills.

Simply because you can have a team of full nomad’s gear players complete a dungeon path does not in any way shape or form change the fact that doing it with a full team of players in zerker gear will be faster and more efficient.

If your pve mobs never hit you, toughness, vitality, healing power, all wasted.

If your foe dies in seconds as opposed to minutes, you are taking less damage.

Have you ever heard of the saying the best defense is a good offense?

You literally can’t even die if your opponent gets disintegrated before it can even attack.

When you get one person not pulling their weight, chances are…. something that should have been dead already will be dealing damage to your team.

Try doing Hotw p1 with a full nomad’s guardian and all zerk players….. then do it again with the same team on a full zerk guardian….

What happens?

You will find that your party will need the healing more when you bring the healer, because things are not dying fast enough and they are dealing damage to you before they are killed.

Sure, you are keeping them alive with support….. but there would be no need to keep them alive if the fight was over and done with already.

What flavor are those crazy pills?

….and pvp and wvw are a totally different ballgame, so trying to talk about all of them in the same post, or even the same thread is silly.

Anyone who is serious about pvp knows about the importance of other stats besides power precision and ferocity, because real people can’t always be facerolled the way pve mobs can be.

WvW and PvP zerk isn’t even the discussion here.

As a pvp player, you should know which stats you are going to need/want to use, and you should know that sometimes you are going to get hit, period.

The gamble of running berserker in pvp can sometimes be worth it, but other times it won’t be.

…with pve full zerker is always worth it, and there is literally nothing you gain from bringing toughness vitality or healing power if everyone is on the same page with you.

Why are so many pve players like ostriches with their heads in the sand about how the game works?

Its a l2p issue if I’ve ever seen one.

As someone with different sets of armor for all my toons and multiples of every profession, take it from me….

I know how easy mode it is to wear pvt gear and facetank…
You literally don’t even need to dodge or evade.

…but guess what…. its like riding a bike with the training wheels on….

Sure you can’t fall over.

…but everyone else is driving a motorcycle.

…and they CAN fall over….. but they don’t and they go really fast.

At some point there’s only so much damage you can realistically dish out before you achieve overkill. I.E if the boss has 500k HP and you are all doing 125K adding another person is irrelevant regardless of outgoing damage. It wont speed things up, and it wont slow anything down.

Time between seconds does not exist everyone, you heard it here first, the universe pauses and jump rearranges with no continuity at second intervals. Burn all the books!

Missing the point a classic.

I admit seconds and time between them exist. What you’re overlooking is what does that even remotely matter. If you can kill something in this game with 4 people in 10 seconds is it such a big deal that suddenly when you add a 5th who doesnt conform you kill it in 8 instead of 7 ?

If it is, then by all means find the culprit. Odds are though that unless you check everyones gear you’ll likely not even notice.

I think you need to take a look in the mirror if you want to accuse someone of missing the point.

I don’t know what planet you are from, but adding a 5th player to a 4-man team increases performance by as little as 25%.

Also…. even if what you are saying is fact, which is really REALLY a stretch…. and adding a 5th player only shaves a minute or so from a 5 minute dungeon run…..

If everyone has that mentality of being the leecher and hiding his non optimal gear from the rest of the team, then the odds that you will get 4/5 zerker + 1/5 celestial or something dramatically decreases.

In other words…. when you join a team with the mentality of being the leecher, but don’t even discuss it with the rest of the team, at some point you are going to get on a team where someone else is already doing exactly what you planned to do…

What happens when 3 of the 5 players are doing this?

Do you not see the issue here?

Also…. you have still yet to explain how these other useless stats you are defending are beneficial in any way.

Burning is friggin ridiculous

Everyone spouting “condi cleanse” has never played against a burn engineer.

You can maintain 7 stacks of burning and reapply over and over and over if it is cleansed…. no amount of cleanse in the world can keep you alive.

…everyone cried about burn guardian, and now engineers are finally figuring out that their stuff is the absolute most broken out of any class capable of applying burn, and you better believe they are abusing it.

Cleanse works against condi guard, who needs to blow his load completely to achieve over 7 stacks of burning….. an enginer can practically autoattack with the flamethrower.

If an Engineer is keeping 7 stacks of burning on you then you are doing something seriously wrong. An Engineer can realistically maintain a decent 2-3 stacks of burning and can burst up to 10 stacks of burn on a lengthy cooldown. For him to maintain 7 stacks of burning, you must literally be standing in his fire fields complaining about how much it hurts.

You must literally be playing a different game, because 7 stacks can be maintained, and you can burst up to 22-23.

When traited (with Firearms grandmaster Incendiary Powder) and you blow your load completely…

Precast Bomb kit #2 – Fire Bomb + Toolbelt – Incendiary ammo + Toolbelt – Throw Napalm (fire field) + Flamethrower #4 – Napalm (fire field) + Flamethrower #1 – Flame Jet (Autoattack) + Flame turret + pistol #4 – Blowtorch

If you don’t blow your load completely, you can easily manage your cooldowns and maintain 7 stacks easily, all day long.

We are playing completely different games then. You’re hitting target dummies and I’m in pvp matches playing against competent players. Like I said, you would literally have to stand there in the Engineer’s fire fields.

The only way you are going to avoid the 7 stacks, is if you are not actually fighting anywhere near a capture point, and are instead fleeing for your life.

Also, you’d be surprised how many players share the same mentality as you about fire fields…. but end up staying a while and getting comfortable thanks to cc and immobilize.
Besides…. I’m sure you know how pvp works…. if the capture point is covered in fire fields, you aren’t going to want to stand in it. …and if you can’t stand on the point, you aren’t going to get the cap.

Everyone spouting “condi cleanse” has never played against a burn engineer.

You can maintain 7 stacks of burning and reapply over and over and over if it is cleansed…. no amount of cleanse in the world can keep you alive.

Boggles my mind you’d complain about engie burns when eles have access to a potential of 6 stacks of burning every 10 seconds with RoF ALONE.

I main an engie and the highest realistic (something that occurs in a match not vs dummies) stacks of burn I can land is between 10-11 depending on when IP procs.

One of our best burning skills have a 50 sec CD. In fact a lot of our burn skills either have long cd or apply pulsing damage instead of quick multi-stack.

Here are some pointers….
make sure you are using the utilities best suited for applying burns.
Not only do the utilities themselves help apply burning (flame thrower, flame turret, etc.) …. but the toolbelt skills apply burn also, as I’m sure you are aware. (Icendiary ammo + Throw Napalm)
You already know about IP….
What about a Sigil of Smoldering…. + runes of balthazar?

Those are a definite must for the build.

Make sure you are traited every way possible to reduce cooldowns on your skills that apply burns, that includes rc on toolbelt, and pistol skills.

It's easy to build yourself into the ground.

I think the message that most players should be taking from this thread is that simply because celestial makes all of your stats “okay” does not mean any of them are good or even great…. and the only time you will really truly reap the benefits of celestial gear is in a scenario other than general pve.

Or you have a class that can utilize all of the cele stats and already have a group with sufficient stats as to not warrant going any other stat combination.

Please, oh endowed one, enlighten me with the knowledge you possess which evades me and the rest of the veteran community as to which class is better off running celestial stats over berzerker’s (in general pve).

Reading on these forums is certainly strong i see.

I said certain classes yes, the two predominate ones being Ele and Engie. They both can utilizes the stats far greater than any other class out there. Does it make it optimal, no.

It also means that should a party as stated above already have sufficient damage output, it doesn’t matter what stats you bring. To prove this all you have to do is go join a “zerk only” run where they never ask you to ping gear and wear any other stat.

9/10 times you wont even get the odd look.

That is your reasoning? You essentially stated that it doesn’t matter if you are running less optimal stats since you can be carried by a majority zerk team. LOL

If a team of 4 zerkers are capable of completing a dungeon without a 5th person, imagine how much faster and smoother things would go with a 5th party member who is actually contributing the same amount as everyone else.

How can you even attempt to use this to justify the use of gear that provides less optimal stats?

In the game, there is no group content that a veteran player has not repeated over and over and over and over again. There is no more stopping to smell the flowers…. and the only reason anyone does COF p1 (for example) for the 600th time is for the money.

When all you want is the money, you want to get from the start of the dungeon to your money as fast and as efficiently as possible.

Otherwise you are just wasting minutes of your life one dungeon or fractal run at a time.

All the healing power toughness and vitality in the world will never make a run go any faster…. and any gear with those stats is a waste in an optimal group.

Precast Bomb kit #2 – Fire Bomb + Toolbelt – Incendiary ammo + Toolbelt – Throw Napalm (fire field) + Flamethrower #4 – Napalm (fire field) + Flamethrower #1 – Flame Jet (Autoattack) + Flame turret + pistol #4 – Blowtorch

If you don’t blow your load completely, you can easily manage your cooldowns and maintain 7 stacks easily, all day long (with or without repeated cleanse on your opponent, since the burn stacks expire quickly as it is).

Petition to seperate ranked to Solo and Team

The problem here is lack of pvp population…

I would have no problem with solo q mixing with team q if there were an equal amount of partied players on both teams in a match….. but that is almost never the case.

There is almost always a team that gets completely screwed by this system.

Red team has a 3 man party and Blue team is all solo join….
why?
because there wasn’t another party trying to pvp at that exact moment to match up against the red team…. and rather than making you wait in a queue that would divulge how dead the game is….. matchmaking just puts the 3-man team against an all solo join team.

If the system fails matching parties, it should have never been implemented.

…but again anet didn’t care when they did it because it created the illusion that pvp in this game isn’t completely dead.

how often are pvp balance patches?

in PvP

Posted by: TheBlackLeech.9360

TheBlackLeech.9360

Anet is always playing the game of whack-a mole….. but in reverse…

And by that I mean…. instead of nerfing classes that have become too powerful…. they are just power creeping everything that is balls.

With every update there are always 1-2 cheese builds that everyone starts using…. and rather than nerfing them for the next update, Anet just makes changes that give 1-2 other builds cheese status.

They clearly don’t even play pvp themselves, since the “balance” we have right now is a joke.

….but rest assured, the broken and op builds this month are still going to be old news when next month comes around because it will be something else that will be broken and op instead.

If you can’t get used to this system, gw2 pvp is not for you.

Hotjoin Remove Rewards - Yes or No?

in PvP

TheBlackLeech.9360

While I don’t feel that any rewards should be given to players who don’t actually earn them…. keep in mind the “practice” mode keeps a lot of pve players out of our hair in unranked mode.

I would see absolutely no problem doing this at all if anet implemented the dishonor system and allowed players to report for leeching.

It worked very well in gw1…. if you had someone afking a match, the other players in the game reported him and he recieved the dishonorable buff.

Removing the rewards from practice without adding the dishonor and report system would be catastrophic.

If we are ever gonig to get new playable races…. I would assume they will come in with an expansion.

The real question is….. what is anet doing with this Tengu nonsense…

They have been rumored to be ready since the game was first launched in 2012, but were cut from the final release….

Now would be the time…. if any…. to get a new race….. packaged in with HoT.

…but anet hasn’t said a word.

The Legendary Demon Stance Elite, Embrace the Darkness, applies torment to the player in pulses….. but only applies resistance once (if traited).

The elite should re-apply resistance as often as torment is applied, otherwise this elite will be so situational that it will never get any use.

Even in pvp when the circumstances where you will get stacked with conditions actually can arise, the measly amount of resistance applied does not even give you a chance to survive long enough to use them against your foes.

Lich form, Plague form, Rampage, Tornado, etc…. all reapply stability every few seconds…

This elite needs to reapply resistance in the same fashion.

The torment hits for 40 damage points when walking, and giving perma resistance to revenant will make him immune to condi builds, and being capable to dodge everything with Shiro…

Self-applied torment is affected by your own stats, including duration and damage.

When you aren’t running condi dmg its not a big deal, but when you are…. (which is when you would want to be running Legendary Demon Stance in the first place)….. you are literally dealing more damage to yourself after using your elite.

The non-elite necro utility skill, plague signet, is 50x better than this elite skill.

If you have enough condis on you where condi matching might actually be a threat…. and you are running around trying to copy the conditions you have on yourself onto foes without cleansing them…. you are going to pop.

Either change the condition copy to transfer….. or pulse resistance otherwise this skill is literally never going to get used.

A necro pretty much destroys any condition dmg build in pvp by using one – sometimes two skills. which cleanses all of the negative condis and gives them to an enemy player.

A revenant gets “I’m going to try and bring you down with me, condi player…. halfe assed style!” the elite.

The elite is really strong, honestly. Even tears apart d/d ele’s.

lol, no.

I would much rather see Anet finish off what they started with under water content versus your suggestion of having them remove it and its aspects further from the game.

Guild Wars 2 is the only game where I do not mind the under water combat….. and they are so close to having it finished….. but the development team seems to be scared of spending any resources on something that people care so little for. …because there are still lots of other things in the game that need improving.

I think at this point, the future of water combat could go in either direction….
The foundation is there…. and I would rather see it built upon rather than see it scrapped.

Ascended breathers is under water stuff taking a step in the direction imho.

Can apply 7 stacks of burning easily every few seconds.

You playing it wrong its 22 stacks what I tried:-)

The 7 stacks every few seconds can easily be maintained tho.

You can get 22-23 stacks if traited (with Firearms grandmaster Incendiary Powder) and you blow your load completely.

Precast Bomb kit #2 – Fire Bomb + Toolbelt – Incendiary ammo + Toolbelt – Throw Napalm (fire field) + Flamethrower #4 – Napalm (fire field) + Flamethrower #1 – Flame Jet (Autoattack) + Flame turret

Nothing can survive that without heavy and repeated condition cleansing…

…and you guys throught burn guardian was op. :P

When a player of another race progresses through the story, thats when treeman wields it.

I like reaper for the most part.
Here are my suggestions:

Speed up the autoattack a tiny bit.

Alter GS2 to hit multiple times instead of just once, since it appears as if you are spinning…

Alter shroud #2 to work more like the warrior’s underwater spear #5, where it locks onto your target…. because currently you just spin right through…. the attack should hit its target more times also, judging on how many times you appear to spin your weapon in the attack animation.

Rework the Shroud #3 to work as a stun break when it adds stability…. you can get cc’d and apply the stabo…. but are still lying there on the ground.

other than that, it feels like this specialization is pretty strong.

Burn Guard actually less powerful after 6/23

Hitting 5 targets every attack at best applies 3 stacks of burning…. and to one of the targets… 1 or two stacks to some of the others.

What’s so hilarious?

like i said grab the 2 Virtue of Justice traits so it procs every 3 attacks and applies aoe burn.

i imagine it’d be hilarious for pve zergs, for pvp though you can stack burns waaay higher than this on single target.

The numbers seen in that picture is the damage from Purging Flames, nothing to do with staff autos….. which is the result of a target staying in the aoe for the full duration.

Virtue of justice does not proc burning on 5 different targets at once like you are fantasizing about, either.

Try the same thing with stationary targets with a staff ele’s meteor shower and none of those targets would still be standing.

Which is more op?

But Mesmer is balanced.

Memser is currently balance now after the nerf to mantra but choromner as of now its not ok..still need some balance

if you spec PU shatter build…
when are in stealth you:
1. clear condition

Since when did Prismatic Understanding become Shadow’s Embrace? Also, Signet of the Ether is a heal skill, which means you lose your heal if you waste it on a phantasm.

The meta PU Shatter Mesmer build has no condition cleansing.

The “meta” build on meta battle…. which is what I assume you are talking about… uses sigil of generosity.

also… there is a trend on metabattle where the “meta” builds are just the builds that popular players stream, and are not necessarily ideal or even meta at all….

Its basically a super streamer fanboy website… I’ve seen super pro builds on there never get any recognition until they were used in tourneys, and then they went from “good” to “meta” rating.

Its a joke.
