So far only the Norn can apply tattoos only at character creation. I’d love the option of body painting over a smaller fee without having to use a total makeover Kit. This was all the races would be able get tattoos. And the Charr maybe fur painting.
Also, this could bring very small stats depending of the tattoos you make:
+10 Precision or +20 Condition Damage or +1% Critical Damage or +5% Swiftness duration or +1% Boon duration…Etc..
I then made a norn engineer and enjoyed it for a while and leveled him to 68 but now its just boring because of the fact you only have 2 weapon options and almost all of the engineer kit weapons are pretty useless.
Yes… please keep telling that to your friends as well
I don’t want to see many engineers running around :P
Makes me feel more unique.
I have the 30 tokens too sometimes. However this does not affect Zerk Runners at all since COF P1 can be done 10 times in an hour making at least 8 gold and another 60 Charr Carvings (from the loot bags).
My warrior feels too squishy, even with the AC gear. it dies about 5 times faster than my guardian. i just recently leveled it to 80. should i just l2p? or am i just too used too my guardian everything else feels squishy?
I play in full berserker with a War, Engineer, Elementalist and Guardian. The warrior is by far the strongest most resistant of all. I can be the front line even without extra toughness and vitality.
A Guardian is more resistant if you spec only heal and boons. But if you make your guardian a Berserker you will have only 10 k life.
I made a Norn Guardian, and I would like to change to a Human, for the racial skills. But it took me until I was level 80 to realize it. But I see all the problems changing your race would cause, so I guess I’ll just have to deal with it.
You are right about one thing: Most people want human and regret not choosing that race from the start.
Yet the humans are already the most played race of all. The reason? Armor looks best on humans. It is the designer’s fault, not the players.
So if they would permit a race change it would become a total racial unbalance and so It won’t happen.
many of us wants to somehow change race.
And 90% are Asura)
24. Make Dye’s Account Bound. This way many players will want to collect them all.
25. We need more weapons and more weapon skins.
26. Ability ti apply dye on weapons as well
27. Engineers should be able to hide the backpack.
28. Introduce cosmetic mounts. This simple addition will be legendary. There is no Fantasy universe without people riding beasts.
29. Guild Halls and Houses
I could go on forever…
1. the ability to dye back pieces - Yes!
2. the ability to hide boots AND OR the ability to hide chest piece on males (FOR SPARTA)… ya know what, just the ability to hide any piece of armor see #7 - Yes!
3. the ability to hide all quests in the top right of the screen ( including living and personal story ) - Yes!
4. the ability to trade acendent rings for other acendent rings or… anything..really ( 4 in the forge for a reroll might be an idea) - Yes!
5. the ability to have separate key bindings for each character OR the ability to have several pre-saved key bindings that can be changed on the fly - Yes!
6. the ability to turn off target locking and make all abilities free aimed ( not sure who would but some might) - Yes!
7. the ability to dye underwear AND OR aquire new underwear - Whatever…
8. class specific skin packs for abilities (E.X) new skins for engineer weapon kits and turrets, new skins for necro minions , new skins for guardian spirit weapons. ETC..
( if there was a zerg skin pack for necro minions I would drop 100$ on that) - Yes!9. glowing dyes. ( I need this) - Yes!
10. unique armors/ weapons that have unique abilities ( for example they don’t have a rune/sigil but have a unique effect) - Yes!
11. the ability to toggle partical effects on single pieces of weapons and armor - Yes!
12. necro minion health displayed on hud ( a small red bar above the ability but below the boon /condition notice area) - Yes!
13. see #12 but for Mesmer clones or any class’ summons - Yes!
14.moar lvl 80 areas ( i’m sure Anet is working on that I just though I should mention it) - Yes!
15. the ability to exchanges dungeon tokens for small amounts of money( not enough to justify not buying armor or weapons just enough so you don’t have to delete the 2 extra tokens you have) or see #21 - Yes!
16. solo mode for dungeons ( should be hard as hell) You can do this already in some dungeons. It is hard as hell.
17. hardcore mode for dungeons. see #16- Yes! With higher rewards
18. first person camera mode ( my norn in trolls end would thank u very much)- Yes!
19. the condition damage stat should provide a small bonus damage to things that cannot be affected by conditions ( so a pure condition built characters does not have to spend 20 minutes killing a building). - Yes! Poison and Bleed that Catapult to death. Just kidding, it’s not cool. Burning sounds logical
20.the ability ( toggle) to auto collect from then delete mail from favor reward letters - Yes!
21. a currencies tab in the bank( for sale from the gem store) holds each dungeon token 4 stacks per dungeon, fractal relics 4 stacks, dabloons 1 stack each, mystic coins 1 stack (moved here after purchase, or just leave it that would be fine) - Yes!
22.variant armors ( the idea is when you craft a piece of armor you have a chance for it to be one of several very similar models) example the medium armor “prowler helmet”
(if you don’t know what it looks like look it up now) to continue with the example you can have 1 version with no ridge spikes and a versions with a gem in the center of the forehead crest or one with more spikes or one with a different patter on the main part. - Yes! Totally! To be able to customize an armor piece more than changing it’s color would bring a great addition.the idea is that 2 different tailors ( in real life) with the same materials told to make the same thing will make slightly different versions of the same thing. this would be a good way to increase character customization without a lot of work. well maybe not a TON of work.
23. the ability to save preset perk loadouts that can be changed out of combat.( not different traits, different perks with the same traits). Different templates as well! Why would you advantage only a few specific builds
Please forgive any misspellings or errors i’m not a good typist. I hope Anet actually sees this and considers one or all of the suggestions.
please leave comments on if you approve or disapprove these suggestions and why
your humble fan
Most of the stuff I see here do I count personally as total BS that will never happen (hopefully), certain races are just lorewise impossible, because that count for Anet and how many kittenign times have people to tell guys that – as personal story NPCs, which are too unintelligent to become ever a playable race or do count as enemies.
This includes: Centaurs, Grawls, Quaggan, Skritt, Krait, Largos, Hyleks, Kodan.
What kitten was that all about?) How can you say Kodan is not a playable Race? They could have easily replace the Norn in GW2. It is true that Tengu already have a large city in the existing lore and It can be considered their capital. And I’m positive that Tengu is the next playable Race. But still. You call those arguments? let’s recap that!
- Tengus have their own city
So does the Kodan, far north. They had to flee south when the dragon Awake. Now they have many other settlements called “Sanctuaries”. But wait, wait! There are many locked territories we have little knowledge about.
Tengus have lots of visual differencies and thats important for a playable race for the character creation
So does the Kodan. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Kodan
If you really care you can see Kodan Shamans in light armor, a perfect start for Elementalist/Necromancer.
- Tengus are a humanoid like race and that way easier to make Armor Models for.
Right… And Kodan are not humanoids? Why is is that difficult to make armor for them? If this was GW1 you would have said the same thing about the Charr.
- Tengus are able to be every playable class, as theres nothing in their lore that would go against this.
The very same with Kodan. They can be fat, slim, short, tall. You could adjust the color of their fur the same way you can adjust the feathers of a Tengu.
If the first GW2 expansion brings new races… we will see a lot of race change demands.
But the question is: When is Chapter 2 coming? Is it when GW2 makes 1 year?
Right! The propose to fill the last rune makes sense.
Q: When should you buy stuff from a Tengu trader ?
A: When he’s going cheep!
Two main complaints in this game result in a contradiction that is not possible to solve for an MMO:
1. Group says: I don’t want to work too hard to get the best gear. I don’t want to grind.
2. Group says: There is nothing to do after you hit level 80 and got all the best gear.
1. – These Guys are the one complaining about the lack of End Game content. If it’s so easy to Max Out your gear what else could motivate you? They level up easy, they get top gear fast and than complain about the lack of end game content.
Really, after two or three months of fooling around you realize there is no other challenge. You done all the dungeons, the fractals to a high level, map completion… The legendaries are not the way to motivate all the players since it’s just a skin. You cannot expect a player to level all characters to 80 and still stick to the game. There are many other fantasy games out there with lore to explore (even very cool single players).
There should probably be a quest long enough to keep you busy for months while still enjoying the game.
Swappable traits & gear.
COF P1. I want to finish it in under 5 minutes.
Every Major Patch (yes, my main is an engineer)
(edited by JubeiTM.5763)
Q: What time is it when a Dolyak sits on the fence?
A: Time to fix the fence!
Q: How do you know if there is a Dolyak in your refrigerator?
A: The door won’t shut!
Q: What is a Charr’s favorite color?
A: Purrr-ple
I’ve recently heard lots of fuss about the money from gem purchases not going in to Arenanets pockets but instead floating to other games that are under NCsoft publishing, such as the development of WildStar.
It is the sad fact of all Guild Wars 2 experience. NcSoft made a game and abandoned it in favor of other titles. Million players down the toilet. Without REAL new content there is no way someone can keep the player base.
Not to mention that if the money went to Arena Net we would have TONS of new content every week, faster bug fixes and trait reworks.
They realized this and they said they’re planning an expansion. Unfortunately it is too late, very few players that quit return to the game.
Why would you buy a single rune anyway?
Get it with karma. Here you go: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Kiryn_Brant
Next time use this: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Main_Page
You’re welcome!
What if in the future we ave the possibility to split our class in 3 types? Light armor, medium armor and heavy. We could get another 10+ levels for our characters in order to use level 90 Ascended armor. And this time those 10 levels will take a grind and lots of specific quests to achieve (solo and group). This would add a lot of propose towards end game.
I was dreaming about separating the engineer into 3 different subclasses:
Scientist. Light Armor.
All round support class
Cultural armor: lab coat.
Alchemist. Medium Armor.
Condition and boons
Cultural armor: Shaman bone and lather coat.
Mechanic/Tinker/Clockwork. Heavy Armor.
Bombardier and Heavy Gadgets class
Cultural Armor: Steam Punk / Ironworks Juggernaut
The grenade kit’s explosions, especially blinding flash give me a headache if I play with my engineer for a prolong period of time. Please consider toning down the effects.
It’s suppose to like that: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stun_grenade
What is really annoying and lasts very long is the Elementalist Meteor Shower. You can forget about hearing anything else once that kitten rains down.
They expect us to buy the promotions but don’t offer any space.
Besides adding more tabs (20 more would hold hardcore players for another year). The space problem would also be eased by adding gear Wardrobes in Housing instances or simply implement armor swappable sets.
You can have more bank space. You have to buy more bank slots in the gemstore.
Clearly you are just a casual player)
I have 8 slots. 8 is maximum. I have extra character slots that are used as banks.

Where we have Sigil of Bloodlust and its contemporary Sigil of Force, Sigil of Corruption doesn’t have a similar contemporary sigil that just gives a flat condition damage bonus without stacking kills.
Therefore, I propose a “Sigil of Suffering” that gives a straight, unconditional +125 condition damage.
It’s too much for those that don’t want to bother gaining stacks. It’s 50% efficiency of a Superior Sigil of Corruption. Maybe 33% Efficiency?
So what is best suited for an Engi? A huge Paladin Weapon or a mace? The actual hammer is 2 Handed… But there are hammer skins for maces! This means 3 skills in stead of 5.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Gallery_of_maces
It would be the first class to use Mace + Pistol. A very interesting combination if the two weapons complete each other.
Sigil of Enlightenment: +1% Boon duration after each kill, max 25%.
Does bomb kit’s big ol shoot SD too? Or is it bugged like 90% of SD skills shootin the bolt to some random direction.
Try to target the monster facing it. The SD hits will activate and hit even if using big ol or cleansing burst from turret.
Static Discharge, Flamethrower, Nomatter what build I’m playing that day I always carry my toolkit. It makes me the party’s Swiss Knife.
Fair enough. We all know it takes thousands of players to get ANet’s attention.
Not really. Once the point is:
- clearly made
- it’s a decent opinion
- other players agree
- there are enough replyes
- it doesn’t require a huge modification
They will reply.
The Blade Dancer
A complex class, sees the war as an art. Gracious in every move, every stance, every swing of a sword has a story to tell. Just his presence is a great inspiration for allies. You get the point?
F1, F2, F3 – Choose stances which change weapon skills. F1 For Defensive Skills, F2 for Offensive and F3 for control options.
- It was suggested before. Still a very good idea.
This has been suggested too many times.
how can this thread still be ignored by Anet.
its HUGE with almost 600 comments and still no awnser.im starting to feel that we will never have the joy of fighting epic duels in the world of Tyria. this makes me sad…
1) Be sure they are reading the forum constantly.
2) They didn’t come on this thread just to say “NO”. It’s obviously an important thing and they are thinking about it pretty carefully.
3) Once they decided, they will send a “representative” to give us an answer. Until then, we’ll keep pushing until we get 1000 comments.
So remove most of the purpose of a fall dmg reduction trait? and as a gem store item would result in a gem store item providing a significant advantage? o.O
Two things:
1) Ever heard about something called a “cooldown”? The parachute would only be usable once in a while.
2) It would of course be forbidden of use in PvP and WvW.What if the Parachute would cost quite a lot. And players would use it to go directly from hills into enemy castles? That would spice things up.
VERY bad idea. Just get a messmer in and then take castles without even breaching the walls.
Completely forgot about the mesmers) kitten Ninja’s.
You’re wrong I have 4 stack on ascalon tears, and I play this game 2 weeks. I think that “pro players /farmers” have 3-5 characters just for storage.
That’s true but this is not a solution. It’s improvisation.
+1 For Change Race. It is a fantasy world, make a device or something. But for order change… they should change the story also. You swore allegiance for life u know….
Agreed with the NO-Nerfing. Warriors don’t have controll options and even if 100b seems to rise up a ridiculous damage, the slightest touch interrupts it. You can’t even move while hitting it.
It is natural that warriors bring fury, might and vulnerability. They are the first line of the battlefield.
So no nerfings to the War, instead buff other classes.
I agree! I have 15.000 tokens from COF P1 Speed-zerking. This took up 2 bank tabs. 8 is not enough, so a solution is to convert the tokens.
Can we please add rain/clouds/storms?
It was a unique feature in other games that made it feel alive… would love that feeling in this game.
That is what I consider Living World not the current stuff.. :/
We already have rain and clouds. We have snow and winds.
A thunder storm however would be interesting.

Now how on earth did I missed that one ?! I see you found a page with many variations for the Katar
The Tome could be an excuse to introduce nee spells but new things the Engineer as well – schematics for deploy able devices.
As for the double saber It would better fit a new class that could mount 2 swords as use it at one
The harder content would require you needing a whole party I would think inspiring people to resurrect players.
Not in GW2. There already are difficult dungeons. In some parts, If a player is down, the rescue is very difficult to near impossible. Unless you are a Guardian, you will never res a player lying down in a huge combo field.
To be honest I’d class most of those in the list as the type of thing I’d expect to pick up as an environmental weapon, and a couple are just specific types of weapons that already exist.
Even the Great Axe as two handed weapon? Every RPG had it sofar. It is slower that the Great Sword attack but has potentially more damage.
You know we already have spears, right? =P
Yup, and tridents but unfortunately only for underwater combat. There were posts suggesting spears on land so I gathered it.
This is something that WoW…
Wow is Dark but I don’t agree is easier to read. GW2 is clean and bright and I love it. Maybe ask for an option to change the background.
I have Engi and War both at level 80.
I eat Warriors for breakfast in WvW. The Engi is far superior but not many people have the skills to play it.
But I admit in a single situation the Warrior is better: Cof P1 zerk rush. But Without a Mesmer they can’t even finish the path)))
