I was lucky enough to try events without bugs and event breaks(Currently my server is bugged though), so I base my feedback on that.

OUTPOSTS, ADVENTURES AND MAP
I love the concept of outposts and how it feels ingame, but again — it’s not introduced to players how it should be.

Map actually is divided into important regions where events belongs to the particular Outposts and completing them contributes to the Outpost progressing and unlocking appropriate merchants and adventures, but game does not teach you that and in result we have dozens of people who wandering around beautiful zone and don’t understand what they are doing and why adventure is still locked.

It would be useful to notify player when they are inside Outpost, some flash text for a couple of seconds like in Skyrim.

Little bar in the top-right screen is not enough to help players to understand what is going on. I propose some Map updates so people will understand where exactly they are, what they are doing and what they will get if they are participating in Outpost progression.

NOT ENOUGH VISUAL CUES IN COMBAT
I feel like developers tried to bump difficulty and add more intricate mechanics than simple facerubbing, but it backslashes a little bit. There are new ways to deal with enemies and if player want to find them – he will, but a lot of people was not aware of this new stuff and tried to face rub(Husks event with sniper rifle and defiance… brrbrr)

IMHO there is not enough of visual cues for players to highlight that stuff has changed and you have to use something else then “Stand still & press1 repeatedly”.

Crazy burst mushrooms, packed raptors, one-shotting mordrem hunters are nice, but for ordinary player they all looks like ordinary PvE monsters which suddenly behave like something else and players don’t understand what is going on and get frustrated while keep their “Stand still & press1 repeatedly” because they can’t figure out what to do.

For example event with glowing red husks and sniper rifle — me with a couple of other players figures out that you have to break defiance bar before striking with sniper rifle, but ~10-20 players were hanging out near rifles and waiting while husks became vulnerable to kill them in melee, thus making event just suuuper long!

It is obviously not the same mechanic as taunt in other mmorpgs, but most of the people will ignore that simple fact and WILL be 100% sure that trinity in pure form is returned in GW2.

I think simple renaming to “Anger” or something like that will help to avoid confusion.

  • If there is an instance where you loose your skills or pickup an item you could regain them by clicking the tonic. You could use them for skipping certain content. Other tonics don’t work because you will not retain your skills while using them.
  • There was a particular funny bug with it where you could use it to get underneath a map of any dungeon if you know where to use it.

I would say no.
Just stay away from holes and dodge/put stability on if you are in risky region of the map.
However, I don’t like skyhammer in skahammer map
I think there should be only one feature in each map and Skyhammer map has Mobility[Jump pods + Removable Holes] + Skyhammer.

First of all, I believe that GvG concept is pretty covered in GW2 by WvW and this is a solid reason to not implement that type of PvP.
However, I feel lack of something like HA in sPvP.
Current sPvP is too… stale, there is no progression completely. Solo Q, Team Q, Hotjoin represent same concept of single match and it is the only concept we have.
Earlier we had some tourney with steps, but they were removed for some reason and we get nothing in return.
It seems strange for me that after 7 years of developement we have only “Single match – Conquest”

If skyhammer or spirit watch pop-up, quit the game and do something else for 15 minutes. Problem solved.

Note: Only works for people who do not care about the leaderboards or their W/L and just play to ruin the fun for teammates

Fixed for you.

On a serious note – there should ban from PvP for week or so for behaviour like this.

For game itself and player base I think it is perfect point of difficulty.
However, I want want some more challenging achievment :P

And guys, seriously, are you from xx century?
Challenge is not about gear/equipment, it’s about HOW you play to win.
Achievments are not tied to BEST MAX DPS GEAR and lowering equipment is not making game fun at all.
Liadri with orb achievment made me THINK how to overcome this problem, some other achievment with 5 gambits and 2 bosses – too.

Stop comparing real difficulty with dps race and advicing to take off armor. It’s just childhood.

Taimi is arrogant asura child who care not so much about all this death. And she even did not know this Belinda.
But she have found a lab of the most “cool” person in her life and she have found machine that allows to understand The Eternal Alchemy
And you want to bend this character to became sad? For what reason? It’s not how naturally this character would behave. Everyone else is sad, she is not, until someone close to her dies.
Did not you have noticed how other asura behave in such situations?

You have multiple choices:
1) Keep auto-attacking and die
2) Strip Retaliation boon and kill
3) Use condition damage instead of direct damage and kill
4) Use healing build and heal everyone, include youself and some newbies and don’t die!

I know my opinion is not popular, but I like it how it is now.
I like when skins tied to some specific event or location and you can say by character look what is he doing.
Like fractal runners, dungeon runners, PvPers and so on.
When everything could be sold/bought it just a matter of money

Emm, Kasmeer spawning a tons of illusions to distract enemies and Marjory spawning a tons of minions.
Assassins blinds you, evades attacks and hide themselves from time to time, but they are squishy
Golemancer are casting hard AoE, but easy to interrupt and they are squishy
Golems are stationary, just keep distance
Wolves attacks are weak if they are in front of you
Husks are super-vulnerable to condition damage
Thrasher are vulnerable if you attack them from behind

Modremoth minions are condition-damage based, they will torment you very heavily, you bring condition-cleanse or simply die.

If you are too squishy it does not mean that monsters are overpowered, it simply means that you should swap your gear to knight, if you can’t keep the pace of berserker gear.

Change your stats and skills to more defensive.

Use food, potions and sharpening stones

Just make somewhat that looks like an effort to proceed.

I cannot do this. You simply cannot beat down the 2 Inquest assassins solo. My two “friends” just sit down below while I get my kitten beaten. Playing as an Ele, I am just a pin cushion for them, and since they’re chained you can’t get one alone and take it down. As a clothie, they wade in and just beat you down before you can do anything.

Complete dead end.

Use Glyph of storms with earth enchantment, it will blind them almost constantly

Zodiac was a GW1 set from Factions so at least the NAME is fully lore friendly.

You do understand that the gem store is the only method of income Anet has besides new game sales….right? I’m not saying your request is unreasonable, but on the other hand they DO need to make money for the game to stay online.

I think you miss the point. The problem is that new armor doesn’t fit global theme at all and there is no connection betweeen game and new armor.
Good example:
New Pact armor
New Maguuma Jungle themed armor
New Seraph armor
etc

Thanks to Megaserver system – we have MUCH more people on same server and they’re doing events, but players tend to drop event after finishing, despite the fact that event is part of CHAIN.
Event chain is the core of open world PvE. It manages player flow on the map, but game doesn’t have visual indication of chains to help players to understand what is going on, some people don’t know about existence of chains and game doesn’t teach players.

You have the option to use the skin immediately or store it in the bank. If you put it in the bank, you have to use charges to change it.

I used mine immediately without using any charges.

I’d actually say this is a valid complaint.

Before the new system, you didn’t need to use trans stones to apply the skin. I think these bought skins should have at least one use.

They has 1 free use. If you right click them you will see 2 options – use free transmute or store in wardrobe. And if you choose second options there will be a warning that you will lose this free transmute. If you use free transmute this armor will be automatically added to wardrobe.

This can’t be possible. Some big new MMO launched and it was going to be the end of the world. The game must be completely dead and everyone else must have left to play that new game.

Also, each item allows you to right-click on it to unlock it, maybe that option will be greyed-out if it is already unlocked.

That will help, but the way I charge through WvW, I end up salvaging 10-15 items roughly every half hour. If there was something just on the tooltip telling me if it was unlocked or not, that would make it easier than just right-clicking every item before salvaging them.

Granted, that’s a really minor thing to be inconvenienced by, but the amount of time i spend salvaging would cause it to really, really add up.

Skins can be unlocked by using consumables, equipping items, salvaging equipment, or right-clicking on equipment and account-binding it.
