it really depends on what build and weapons you running
if you going range setup like p/p or p/d go above 2500 armor even try 2800-3000 with condition setup as range setup is less stealthy and less as fast burst
if you going on melee range as more power and crit you got the less armor you need
even in zerg situation (L2P your limitation). so full zerk is ok to go with
i started with 2600 armor and after short time used to even 2000 armor

obviously the OP dont know the blind mechanism
blind only mitigate the first attack used while in blind condition
thus if thief use BP on you dont use the key skill rather than use AA to clear the blind first than use you key skill on him
thief area blind control is for short period and you can still attack thief even if you stand outside the blind ring so dont stand in it
also as mention above thief cannot spam it as it cost 6 ini so if thief spam it he basically cant hurt you for 4-8 seconds

after playing thief from the start and all the builds out there and some from my own i can surely say that none of the thief builds are OP
some may give you advantage over other classes builds but not all of them
to be OP you must play it right and basically know the other player class, build and rotations and know your limitations
gw2 is not about the best build rather the best player
p/d is all about being patient and with perplexity give you bit/some advantage over fast skills rotation build like d/d or engineer.

its basic condi roaming build vastly use
your trait which gives 33% condition duration with scepter is useless as you got 100% condi duration already and duration isnt stack above 100%
i would take chill sigil as it can save you against melee gank
and also recomended to use fear with scepter as you’ll tick 3 times doing 1k dmg each tick. with staff it will tick only twice as you got 90% duration and not 100%
i also put my 10 points in blood magic to give me blood mark when dodge or reduce charge on dagger skills

also boon sharing is useless here as you dont put much stack to share them

i dont like PU trait but love the condi mesmer so i went hybird with 3k attack and 1k condi dmg as base state.
while fighting with buff i have 3.4k attack and 1.4 condi dmg so the fight is much more fun and you bit confuse your enemy of what you are

the real problem is the stealth duration mesmer have which is like thief
so i rather would give respect to mesmer not using stealth.

i give respect to warrior who near 10% hp and not running away as mesmer i cant compete with it
i give respect to thieves who dont shadow refuge when near death.
i give respect to engi not playing perplexity build
i give respect to thief not playing perma stealth rather than evade
i give respect to ppl not jumping my corps

after playing PU to learn how to deal with it i got bored with it as it too defense mode play which is BORING. it best played when you eating as you dont need to press much.
i once played it and won while i was selling stuff in the TP on my screen
so i drop the PU trait and it still boring because you got staff
than i drop my stealth abilities and got killed more times and had hard time doing 1vX so …

Good current wvw builds

as wvw player mainly (only) i can sum up the uses of weapon set for each situation (imo)

power d/d – more group play . roaming is fine but hard to do 1vX against average players
condi d/d – roaming 1v1 mainly. fun to play not more. for group play you better run something else as necro can stack lots more than you. for 1vX you will run/hide most of the time
power d/p – roaming 1vX (ppl hate you ). for group play its bit lower dmg and cant utilize better the fact you got more easy targets with cnd. can be use as second weapon for escape
power s/p – group play and roaming 1v1
power s/d – group play and roaming 1v1
condi p/d – group play and 1vX
power p/p – group play
condi p/p – group play and 1v1 but less effective

armor
for condi go dire (more safe) or carrion (bit more direct dmg)
for power go mix of valk/zerk/pvt etc depends on your skills

venoms build can split to 2
full venom – mainly for group but can do 1vx if you are experience player.
the main idea is the surprise and fully burst with massive conditions dmg and stacks. go stealth and repeat.
the main venoms you wanna take are skale, devourer and basilisk. the third can be spider (i like it more) or ice. the last 2 just use to be cover conditions and chill as cc and spider as health negator.
you dont need stunbreak as if you surprise your foe he will be dead in 3-5 seconds and you got clean stealth as he chill or immobilize so easy cnd.
i dont like skelk as i need mobility so withdraw is better imo.
dont forget its group so you want to share thus spider imo is better even if we got SB or steal which are shorter.

semi venom – more 1vX so you take 2 venoms or maybe 1. skale venom and shadow refuge and shadow step or blinding powder and basilisk or thieves guild to maximize the share for the burst.
this build is bit for longer fight against heavy conditions counter and less as group build. the main idea is to cover your bleed condition stacks.

if they give venom stun break/stealth ability (i would love it) the full venom build will be op with group and solo thus unbalance
i would like burning venom and confusion venom thus more versatility to choose and to adapt each situation

i agree if anet wont do some minor changes to sigil stacking thief class will get bit nerfed
like mention above warrior with GS with night and force will have 15% + dmg while thief who dont usually use those sigil have to use them now to compensate the 10% dmg reduction on account of other sigils which were used
but on the other hand SB thief with fire and air sigil can proc both to do ~5k dmg every 5 sec (will need a sigil nerf i guess )

venom skills have 3 cc and 2 conditions
skale and spider for condition dmg and devourer and ice for cc (immobilized and chill)

about condition if you spec for it you can achieve 1800-2000 during fights which is high for thief gameplay

the problem is i dont see many power builds using venoms and many condition builds dont using something else instead of venoms thus leaving the trait lines bit useless

basilisk venom is just reapplied and doesnt stack

dont be afraid from sicthem – long cd pretty useless
against warrior its very easy fight but can be long one as they tend to run and heal and engage again. just cnd sneak and shadow strike
if you down and stomp dont dodge but try to cnd first and dodge as ppl try to res so you have target on your face to easy cnd
nice fight and good cnd hits but power with p/d even though i tried it as you with s/p just pull you too much to the p/d setup so maybe try p/p as seconds weapon

Devourer venom needs a nerf.

immobilize can be cleanse easily as the meta is condition spec so everyone has 1-3 condition removal
you can stack up to 3 stacks so up to 9 seconds but if you get blinds /evades etc like above you cant do anything with it
so mesmer just blink away, thieves shadowstep, warrior and guardian invulnerability, ele mist away, engin invulnerable and ranger die
so you have to use it smartly like any other skill

I usually use JI with symbol inside the burst location which give health while damaging the enemy follow by hammer blast for retal

I ding that in guild groups it’s more hard to land full symbol duration on one location
But in Zerg where all just AA and standing its fun

Even it hard to take 1v1 Mesmer you should be ok in prolong the fight till he bored or make mistake
In wvw I fought pu Mesmer for 10 min while he couldn’t do anything but harassing
Against zerk lure him and burst him so he back off
But in both cases it’s hard to kill them as they can run away fast and disengage

Role:
moving with the frontline usually first to go in and last to go out
dishing good aoe dmg, cc, first aid heal and support

Build:

Utilities:
JI – you are the first to step in to dish good aoe dmg and cc
SYG – to overcome hard cc (can be changed according group needs)
PF – great support skill with 3 conditions cleanse and condition duration reduce by 33%, fire field (blast might), burning aoe for 6 seconds

Group Heal abilities:
mace #1 – third hit aoe heal for 430 so ~140 hps
mace #2 – aoe heal for 2400 allies standing inside it or 350 hps for 7 seconds every 8 seconds
hammer #1 – third hit heal for 524 so ~175 hps and also give protection for 5 seconds

i prefered taking wirt of persistence over battle presence because virtue usually will be active so the passive effect wont be recognize but the 2 seconds on symbol will

Self Heal abilities:
AH trait will be constant self heal – 72*5 (or 7) *5 = 1800 (2520) ~ 600 (840) hps
just with protection and regeneration, add to it retaliation and might with blast finisher its another 360 health gain ~72 hps

so just spamming skill 1+2 with hammer or mace can heal you for 1.1k health per second

states:
armor base is 3.13k , but add truffle ravioli for more 100 and strength in numbers for more 150 you got almost 3.4k
attack is 2.8k but add 25 stacks of bloodlust for mor 250 power and might stacks 10-25 and food for more 100 and you got walking killing machine with 4k attack
crit chance is 35%-40% and with group fury its 55%-60%
crit dmg is 48%
health 20k and with guard buff is 22.5k
condition dmg come from might stack so between 350-875 with with 2 aoe burning skills you can do 328- 546 aoe dps

Focus – i choose focus over shield because it serve more as offense weapon and help with the push and burst with blind/regen and blocks/dmg.
as with shield 1 skills use for offense SoJ which does good dmg and give protection but SoA push foes back which can interfere with the group burst location so it more good for retreat situations

DMG:
mace AA does good dmg but bit slow one. full rotation dmg is 3k-8k (depends on might stack and crit)
SoF does 3k-6k aoe dmg – just amazing skill
PS does 1k-3k aoe dmg
SoW does 2.2k-4.4k aoe dmg if explodes

the hammer AA is killing machine if enemy stand in its way 6k-9k
mighty blow can hit 2k-8k aoe dmg
and the rest skills are great cc if landed it right

Combos:
hammer:
ZE+JI->RoW->MB => great cc combo which ensure enemies fast down
mace:
SoW->SyoF+JI->PS => great burst/heal/block combo

add in PF skill which can act defensively or offensively to dish out more dmg with burning and might stack with blast (you can give to your group 9 stack on burst location with SoW + MB blast and VoJ

try out some hybrid setup which with might give you 600-900 condition dmg than your burning dmg will be nice alongside direct dmg
i try the pyroguard aoe build which is nice 700-900 burn constant tick but the direct dmg is too low so i switch to hybrid with 300 condition dmg base and retaliation to compensate with 3.2k attack so the dmg is good and burning does 400-600 dmg per tick plus retaliation 240 per tick

i agree that only burning wont do much to any profession but it help to put pressure when they see the burning ticks. i think that my seconds hybrid build is much better and also can reach 3.1k attack and the burning dmg added when fighting is 220 dps (base is 328)
i switch to GS for more burst direct dmg and burning is basically always proc so even when enemies run away burning will do dmg

while other professions can proc more conditions they have cd beside bleeding so after their condition burst they can do for 10-20 seconds only bleeding usually 5-8 stacks. also their burning condition is rather short one and proc in long cd.
as burning alone is equal to 5-8 stacks of bleeding guardian can proc burning permanently almost. thus guardian wont have the burst of 1700-2000 dps from conditions alone for 5 seconds but will have 600 dps for 20 seconds (and more) and with higher direct dmg so can be much more than 2000 dps. and dont forget most burning skills guardian have are aoe so you do aoe dmg over time (usually 600 dps for 5-8 seconds on 5 foes so its 3k-4.8k per enemy)
also dont forget its not build for roaming and 1vx rather than group play small or big

my guardian reach today 80 and now fully exotic so i will try it on in wvw and put some video soon i hope

with mango pie which give 85 hps its healing must be 1000 with mace/focus and 700 with GS in some clips
end of dodge he was heal 829 and with meditation 2156-2366 in some clips, shelter 5257 so 1000 healing power.
trait:
5 in radiance as his burning does bit dmg and also blind on voj
30 in valor (ii,i,xii)
20 in honor (iii, ix)
15 in virtue (ii) he was getting regen and 3 stack of might and retaliation

regarding armor and trinket i dont know how he put good power with 18k health and 1000 healing power and crit

i will keep testing it though, who knows (i remember ppl said to me venoms are awful in wvw and when i came up with panicond build i see so many venom builds in wvw).
also i noticed that ppl dont rush to cleanse the burning as its 1 condition only so or they are w8ing for more conditions to activate their precious cleanse utility or they think it wont hurt much as i am guardian ….
i fought thieves in spvp and its funny to see 20 seconds of burning (even if they SS and stealth) 20*650 = 13000 dmg + direct dmg 400-500 per hit
as i havent played power guardian yet i dont know its sdps. but from other classes i can tell that there is not much different between power and condition dmg but the way it proc. power hit you for short moments and conditions hit you for longer period
after testing in a bit in spvp i can stack burning as many skills can proc it so even if enemy use his cleanse the burning will be up again
1v1 aspect it wont hurt much although i manage to take in spvp thief, mesmer, necro, warrior, guardian. still learning this class, and thinking of combos who can proc it effectively to counter the cleanse

i will try to compare it to power build like 0,0,30,30,10 GS+Staff with 3.2k armor 3k attack and 17k hp

meanwhile here is a hybrid build which looks interesting i may say.

it has much more power and crit chance, while doing 130 less burning dps , might stack can be reach to 4 stack after 1 min with blocks so more 140 power and condition dmg. also you apply vulnerability with blind (may change to sword) and also with 2 symbols so 5%-7% more dmg (with sword you can reach 10%).
it has 300 less armor and 2.5k less health but 2 meditations skills gives 3800 health when activate.
still preserve the 80% burning duration but proc burning bit less (1 every 5 attacks and not 3)
the off hand weapon are powerful with 5k-6k dmg if hits and crit
scepter too powerful with immobilize and smite

play thief, mesmer, necro
love conditions builds and love theorycrafting
wvw mainly
never played guardian but want to start (already lvl 45)

after playing bit as mesmer and thief with burning condition i just couldnt help myself to create a guardian also (i got ele but got bored with it)

my idea is the guardian running in into the enemy group burning the hell of them while can hold his position long enough and help his team in some other ways.
even though we know conditions are easily cleanse in wvw group fight with null, well fields and shouts i notice that with guardian you can reapply the burning really fast
also after playing with thief and mesmer in group fight i noticed my conditions ticks for 5-10 seconds on 3-15 enemies as i w8 for the enemies to use their cleanse abilities

burning: 0.25*condition power +328
so even with 0 condition power you will do 328 dmg every seconds which is like 3 stacks of bleeding

condition duration: always deal dmg on each FULL seconds and max at 100%
so basicly 90% condition duration is waste of 10% as it will not give you another full second.
also consider some ppl will go with -25% to -40% decrease on conditions duration (especially the warrior and guardian frontline )
so after fast calculation the best duration you want with burning is 80%
zealot’s flame 3->5
JI 3->5
PF 5->9
VOJ 4->7

so here is the build (havent test it yet in wvw only in spvp)

VOJ is 105% -> so 100%

condition dmg 1390-1640-1815 (no sigil and might-with sigil – with sigil and 5 stack of might with block trait or voj)
burning dmg than 675-738-782 dps
also 25% speed with runes

weapon choice:

mace/torch
mace AA will heal nearby allies
also put symbol which is light field and put regeneration so when warrior blast it also while cause retaliation every 8 seconds
protector strike will block and proc burning for 1 seconds
and with torch you burn enemies around you while removing 1 boon every seconds as burning reapply and can cleanse conditions from allies

scepter/focus
smite is nice burning applier on foes with 1200 range and 16 number of impacts it 5 burning impact to foes inside it
also chain of light is nice cc to ensure at least 1 foe will take 5 seconds of burning
focus again blind and gain regeneration to allies and cure one condition
and shield will block the area around you proc burning on foes and is a blast finisher to smite (retaliation to allies for 3 seconds)

trait choices:
0,20,30,0,20
radiance line is great supporter with blind when ROJ active, as burning is always proc enemies we lose their boons, and burning duration increase by 20%
valor is using meditation for more healing and burning when block so as we got 2 skills which block and VOC burning will applied constantly
virtues line for more retaliation and burning with ROJ and also 20% cd on PF which burn like hell and cure 3 conditions on allies

elite:
TOW is just too amazing as it burn 3 seconds enemies, buff you allies with might and swiftness during battle, give quickness and fury to allies and KD
as it only 20 sec duration use it wisely
or take RF
or if you charr also charrzooka can be nice burning applier with 2 hard CC

in spvp testing area it was nice as enemies just couldnt stand near me but when i got focused by 3 of them it was hard to survive (like any other class)
the burning was always proc even against PU mesmer and d/p thieves so they just used their null field or SR to cleanse the burning which really hurts
but 1v1 its not to good build as you dont have much conditions cover so you cant pressure much

when i get to lvl80 i will build it and test it in wvw

here is test build video i promised from yesterday

it was hard to look for 2k bleed tick as enemies die faster but you can see 500-1000 dps from bleeding and 950 torment ticks and 800 confusion ticks

i can remember 16 stacks of bleed and torment with 18 might stacks so with direct dmg it was ~5k dps – you can do the math (he was down in 4 seconds after i burst him)

This is my new variation of hybrid build

i am using sc/p
scepter gives me block and torment dmg and also generate clones with AA between attacks
pistol is great for fast bleeding stack 6-8 and great interrupter (which proc 5 stack of might)
with this build you can achieve very fast 10-20 stacks of might during battle
so with average of 15 stack you will have +1800 condition dmg (which by itself like every average conditions spec)
so bleeding will tick for 134 dps per stack so in average 800 dps for 7 seconds
torment will do between 7-11k dmg
confusion with 5 stacks will do 1k dmg per dodge or skill use
also take into account i have 3-3.4k attack with 40%-60% crit chance and 64% crit dmg
so i duelist (and also all other attacks) will do nice direct dmg 2-5k dmg

GS
with GS i will have 3.3-3.6k attack so izerk will heart alot and mirror blade can give you 6 stack of might (if lucky)

so the longer the fight is you become more dangerous with condition and direct dmg

Key Traits:
dueling – fury to phantasm for more bleed ticks and clones on dodge

chaos – basic PU trait which give random conditions on clones death and 5 stacks of might when interrupting (with group play its amazing 15 stack in average)
pu for more defense but also chaotic interruption is good for more control and conditions cover, also can take cleansing inscription for more conditions cleans

illusions – celerity and elasticity give you shorter cn on illusion skills so more izerk and iduelist and more defense with scepter and attack with GS #2 skill
elasticity can be change if you more doing roaming as the bounce is nice in group play

you can notice that the main difference from other hybrid build is that i still have higher armor 2.7k in GS and 2.9k in sc/p (most hybrid have 2.3-2.5k armor)

also i am have 4 different interruption abilities which can shout down enemies fast

i suing hoelbrak rune as in group play you dont need much self swiftness rather than conditions defense. but for roaming you can take centaure runes (and change heal skill for shorter cd for perma swiftness)

this trait lines enable me to go full rabid with staff and having high conditions burst (my highest was +2600 condition dmg during fight)

in group play its just amazing with higher armor than the zerk builds while doing good dmg direct and conditions

if i attack the group i can do 1-5k dmg and spread bleeding 200-500 dps to 3-5 enemies
if i target 1 enemy i can do fast 1k-2k bleeding dps, 1k torment dps and 1k confusion dps along side 2k-5k direct dmg

so why i think this hybrid build is good
1. you confuse your enemy – when you attack with condition he cleans or heal and then you surprise him with direct dmg and vise versa.
if he smart player he will see the sigil of corruption so think you are condition spec…
2. enable to adapt for any situations – group play and solo roaming (1v4 will be hard if all focus fire on you and perma stun you as with all other builds)
3. every weapon swap makes you stronger with 3 stack of might
4. every swap to scepter give you i counter to help you block and punish
5. your phantasm on shorter cd and with signet of ether you can make fast army with the best phantasm we have which do great direct dmg and put great bleeding ticks.
tip: b4 heal use phantasm and then heal (i am also trying to get used to it)
6. can perma stun your enemy or make him use his utilities earlier in the fight
7. with same trait line you can go full rabid or change to zerk armor and weapon to adapt to any play style you fancy at the moment

true points,
i have hard time to run after warrior of thief but even with swiftness its boring so i call it a win
ascended give me some edge but the main difference is with condition, toughness and crit dmg. and with few tweaks stated above with runes of centaur and GS its possible
i just say its my variation of hybrid build. didnt say its better. just wrote there are better states.
also the build depends on your game play which yours high
i am still practicing with GS

i am testing new build with even more higher state for wvw solo and group play (not yet 1vX). i will post it soon so you can comment on it

put 15 stack of might very easy with 2 weapon swap and 1-2 interruptions and you’ll get 1.3k condition dmg and 3.3k attack

Zero condi removal, phantasms don’t have fury (ie. less crits) also no +15% dmg, without greatsword you’re not stacking as many bleeds with your dodge clones, no +bleed duration and perma-swiftness. :\

lets compre:
attack +3k v 2.9k
armor 2.7k v 2.4k
crit chance 54% v 52%
crit dmg 84% v 66%
health 15k v 16.4k
condition dmg 800 v 550
1 more stun skill with signet so more 5 might
shorter cd on pistol and longer range
if you take with my build gs just change the traits as you said and you have fury and +15% dmg
and take mantra of resolve for conditions cleans (roaming you dont always need condition cleans and you adapt the situation). also you got more % might time and -20% condition duration. but if you like centaur change to it.
and yes no swiftness outside the battle (inside battle you dont abuse healing skills just to gain perma swiftness)

so better state and abilities just no swiftness (which can be changed)

i also tried to run hybrid and its very fun and powerful to use

i run this build so to compare
2.8k armor
4 condition cleans in 20 seconds cd
with 10 stacks of might which is easy to achieve during fight and even 20 stacks you can have
3.3k attack and 1.6k condition dmg
40% condition duration or 50% depend on your food
4 stun/daze/interrupts skills (why its easy to get 20-25 stacks of might)
73% critical dmg with 40% (60%) crit chance – you can take perception sigil if you like more crit change 52% (72%) instead of condition dmg
more bleeding ticks with DD trait
more ideulist and iberserker with signet of the ether and also shorter cd on illusions skills
slower movement even with centaur but you can change to hoelbrak for -20% condition duration
with miror heal skill you almost perma swiftness 29% more speed

my game play is average (5/10) i mess up a lot
but as you can see this build very forgiving
also my videos are kind randoms and from the day before the post date. as i dont look for some great scenes and rather focus to show you (and me most of all) if its working or not

also i tried defensive golem – a bit useless in zerg battle as its hard to put it as you team always on the move (feedback is a lot better)
but mirror images work like a charm especially when you get focus by those warriors and thieves

phantasms need to stay alive much as possible to do bleeding from every crit hit and when they get hit they do retaliation dmg which adds up
clones made for the quick kills so more aoe bleeding, weakness and vulnerability
if the enemy group i fight not paying attention i can drop even 3 iduelist during the fight
2+1 or 1+2 basically in triangle shape around my enemies
against melee you can take mirror images for 2 clones who attack you target and die fast so 6 bleed stack if you lucky – great against bs thieves

your build is 2500 armor and 2k condi dng (with 10 might stack) while mines is 2900 armor and can be 2.4k condition dmg . also the signet heal allow me to create more phantasm to burst down the backline or side line.
but yes the idea is the same.

that’s what i like in 30 points into chaos as you can tweak it to any situations

pu is more for roaming
ci for more group cc in burst situation (even if with chaos storm mainly)
bi can buff your might to the sky (but with 2.2-2.4k condition dmg it may be over kill)
confusion on death only 1 stack so in group situation wont get notice at all. roaming its different story (i run 0,25,30,15,0 for more confusion and retaliation and regeneration)

what about the idea with clone factory and defensive golem?

the main ideas:
high condition dmg 2.2-2.4k in wvw
clones factory for more Debilitating Dissipation’s triggers
100% confusion uptime with 2.5sec immobilized when using chaos storm
defensive golem for controlling area which reflect for 5 seconds and being light field so more retaliation uptime for the group (with dagger storm also cleans conditions)

lately i was trying to find a build for mesmer in zerg situations in wvw
and i find it bit hard.
sometime i wonder if we did not have viel group would never have needed us.

as mesmer we bit lack aoe skills with shorter cd, or good AA attack that deals enough dmg (condition or direct) like necro marks/wells, ele fields rotations, engineer bombs and grenades

am i wrong?
example in 40 seconds rotation:
condition necro aoe skills:
mark of blood – 8 times, aoe 3 stacks of bleeding for 12 seconds to 5 ppl = 8*3*130*12*5=187,200 dmg so 4,680 dps
chilblains – 2 time, poison for 9 seconds to 5 ppl = 2*250*9*5=22,500 dmd so 562 dps
Grasping Dead – 4 times, aoe 3 stacks of bleeding for 10 seconds to 5 ppl = 78,000 so 1,950 dps
Enfeebling Blood – 2 times, aoe 2 stack of bleeding for 15 seconds to 5 ppl = 39,000 so 975 dps
wells – can do 2-3k to 5 ppl in 5 seconds (codi spec) = 15,000 so 375 dps

sum it all its 8,542 dps to 5 ppl so 1708 dps to one enemy (didnt take direct dmg into account)

i assuming that in powerwell necro the dps will remain the same (or even higher with DS) as wells will do most dmg and conditions do less.

mesmer does far less sdps even in power spec
staff is our group weapon choice but chaos storm is 28 cd (35), and all its other skills is illusions which die too fast. and mainly use in conditions build.

GS also hit 3 foes in line and mainly use in power build

The problem with power build is the mesmer is too squishy and in tight spots it is hard to perform and produce sustain dmg per seconds (sdps)

so beside null field and feedback every 36 seconds which mainly support our group and not dealing dmg at all (1-2 stacks of confusion really ,,, ) and when blast gives chaos armor (again support) we dont really being noticed

am i wrong or this is what we should be in group fight?

what build are you using in group fight (more than 20 ppl)

this build regenerate mass of clones and phantasms with shortest icd on skills.
phase retreat every 6-7 seconds is life saver
iwarlock hit hard even in condi spec
iduelist can do 6-8 bleeding stack every 16 seconds (combine with signet of the ether even much more)
icounter with 8-9 seconds cd so every weapon swap its ready for you
between 3-13 stacks of confusion (as you got 3 interrupts skills)
torment alone which can do 14k dmg
also almost every condition is available (beside fear and immobilize)

with massive condition power 2.4-2.5k (in wvw) and 50% condition duration you can create conditions burst which hurts a lot

in pvp i take 2 sigils of battle for might stack

sc/p is the best condition spec i think with 10-15 bleed stack from i duelist*2 combine with torment and poison and you got yourself a winner
staff although use as defense tool can hurt a lot just by using AA and clones with burning (1k dmg) and can stack 5 perma bleeding

for more condition cleanse you can take cleansing inscription for 2 more conditions cleanse

i like signet of domination as it gives me more condition power even if i have above 2k but also stun key moments when needed. you can switch to blink if you want more stun break , or veil for group play.
you can take chaotic interruption also instead of pu trait for more control and cc moves

you can face any class and build out there and win most fights
its easy to learn and handle and much fun

cons:
as usual no swiftness
heal on 35 icd so use it carefully
ppl wont like you…

SB is mainly for group play and not solo
also its more support type than pure dps

have you try it on zerg fight?
condition spec
4-5 poison fields which tag 20 ppl with up to 30 seconds so an average of 5-7.5k dmg
clusterbomb does nice bleeding 1-3 stacks so an average 1k dmg
with venoms trick shot hits 3 times so spreading them nicely
also diecrt dmg is nice even in condition spec 500-1000 per hit
in power spec
poison field does 2.4k dmg aoe
clustebomb can do 4-6k dmg +bleeding
direct dmg is 2-3k

i would love 1200 range or more speed attacks but not both as it will be OP

sometime i do sw/t as my defense weapon with evades and stealth while sc/p is my conditions burst
sig of illusion recharge our shatter skills so i can use distortion for 3 sec +3 sec if needed in tight situations, also my illusion have more health so more retaliation up time as they bit harder to kill and also can do 2 round of attacks
indeed its my utility i can swap depends on the situation
