legendary prices

the TP is world-wide. so it also costs 3600g for me to buy eternity on dragonbrand.
you could do the math to see how much it would cost if you made it from scratch (buy the materials and put them together)

http://www.gw2legendary.com/

Looking at the two swords it requires (1860g and 1733g) pretty much points out if you were to make it from scratch today it’d cost the same in gold (and that’s ignoring all the karma and skill points required)

The boss would be fixed so easy when the gun attack would affect a wider range so you can’t outrange the boss with 1200 range anymore.

Not unless the gun does a lot more damage, as is it really doesn’t do much (my thief just stands it it due to the lack of range weapons) without any risk of dying. The electric floor though is deadly.

I like the wings of Dwayna exactly because they are rather small. They look good and are not overly flamboyant like the holographic wings or Tequatl wings.

Agreed, the size they are are large enough to be visible but not overpower the rest of the character.

The loading screens make the game unplayable

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Protoavis.9107

I used to have loading times of some 2-3 minutes in Lion’s Arch.

I then bought a better and pumped up PC, naturally since it’s a new PC I had to reinstall GW2.

I’ve noticed no difference, it still takes some 2-3 minutes to load Lion’s Arch.

Can you list your specs?

Honestly for me the longest load screen is 10 seconds (and I play in windowed mode, my browser in the background never has less than 12 open tabs and I’m often watching a video on the second screen) so I’m bewildered that it’s taking 2mins+ on newer machines.

Can't finish Map Completion because of WvW.

It’s absurd to ask your guild – and if you’re a solo player, you’re completely screwed from the get-go – to go and steamroll an entire map so you can have a shiny for a very distant personal goal.

Map completion in Orr can be done mostly solo, except for a couple of temples. In WvW you’re going to have to wait.

Pretty much, I did it on my bearbow over a year ago, the only thing that requires people are the temples and the skill point at Graven Cay (linked to the temple of melandru, if that isn’t clear theres a DoT around the skill point which makes it impossible). The rest of it is just tedious, not difficult.

New profession

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Protoavis.9107

Protoavis.9107

Perhaps instead of their old shouts they could get “blessing’s” or something and be related to the Gods. A paragon could be the opposite of a necro. Instead of dealing in the dark arts or “death magic” they could have “light magic”. Anet could add on to this in whatever way they choose.

So realistically you’re just after the name paragon, it doesn’t even need to play like the gw1 paragons beyond the name, spear and heavy class…it’s more a player perspective issue than a gameplay one.

Not all the races have gods and really only the humans care about the human gods, building a class around the human gods is so unlikely to happen due to 4 other races also being able to play the class, you’re more likely to get a class that draws powers from the dragons seeing as that isn’t racially specific. Guardians already have the light magic, notice their light combo fields, making another heavy class that focused on light magic….

Hmmmm, paragon FTW! And no, just no do not say that Guardian is this game’s version of paragon. I want a real paragon who throws spears and be a heavy class like they should be.

So you want a Guardian with a spear….

No, think out of the square please…..

I am though. Realistically based on traiting and utilities both the warrior and the guardian can do what the paragon does at it’s core (heavy that specialises in buffing). The only thing missing is a spear/javelin weapon. As it is a lot of the paragon skills from gw1 are on warriors and guardians in gw2. To add paragon to the current game would just result in a huge overlap between two existing classes and really not add much that isn’t already here. As soon as a spear land weapon is added to warrior and guardian there really isn’t anything unique to gw2 paragon that doesn’t already exist within warrior or guardian (based on traiting and utility selection) beyond the name and skill aesthetic.

Fighting in the middle can be a lot faster since every kill rewards points. If you can convince your team to all go heavy gunner stack in the middle around the present and to attack all the scouts and supports with the focus target the scoring will move a lot faster than by moving gifts.

Also, what’s with the new ascended armors? It takes 36 days to craft a light armor set due to timegated items, and it takes 25 days to craft heavy? What the actual kitten? How does that make any sense?

Light armor, all the way up through crafting levels, primarily uses fabric materials. Heavy and Medium have a more equal distribution between fabric and metal/leather. Light armor doesn’t really have a logical secondary crafted mat.

More Asuran and Sylvari armors

I agree. Everything is very human-oriented and it makes me sad.

Most drops and all the crafted armor sets are clearly human in origin. Honestly it’s a bit odd that when say the sylvari come out of their pop they are given very human armor from NPC’s decked out in sylvari plant clothing (and then surrounded by sylvari decked out in plant clothing) . Similar can be said of the charr and asura. The vast majority of armor was clearly designed with humans in mind and then retrofitted on to the other races which isn’t terrible but it’s one of those touches that would have shown a more polished product if the base armor variety had considered the other races of tyria.

TA and cultural armor (medium)

in Sylvari

Posted by: Protoavis.9107

Protoavis.9107

It’s not just medium, the issue stems from the sylvari cultural armor having a natural glow (even without the glow patterns) so it isn’t affected by light the same way other armors are.

Compare the below, the lower half is cultural armor, the middle and shoulders are TA armor and the helmet is draconic, both the draconic and the TA armor have the same darkness and colour distortion going on but the cultural armor basically retains it’s usual colours.

Will 100% agree that is is annoying though.,

(Yep, in game version doesn’t look as nice as the concept art, but hey it’s not the first time and it won’t be the last).

That second armor is just arah armor, i don’t get it.

Or are you saying that that armor is also not as good as it’s concept art? Because the first armor is avatar of grenth, not gw2 concept art.

He was pointing out that the “avatar of grenth” is actually all armor in the game currently (well on the 10th, the feet are the light ascended armor) the shirt and pants are trickster, the shoulders are from last year halloween, etc. When you assemble all that in game though it isn’t as good as the fully rendered image though is what the poster was getting at.
